The
next
item
before
we
get
to
the
next
item,
I'm
going
to
take
my
prerogative
and
just
make
a
couple
of
very
brief
comments
if
I
might
and
then
we'll
proceed
with
the
agenda.
But
if
you
would
bear
with
me,
I
just
want
to
take
a
minute
or
two
to
thank
my
fellow
board
members
for
giving
me
the
opportunity
to
serve
as
president
for
this
past
year,
a
year
in
which
we
return
to
some
state
of
normalcy.
A
I
appreciate
that,
for
the
most
part,
we
have
been
able
to
function
with
a
degree
of
Civility
and
that
our
differences
have
been
handled
mostly
with
dignity
and
respect.
We
have
been
able
to
strengthen
our
committee
structure
and
our
public
meetings,
I
think
have
been
productive
and
recently
concise.
A
I
would
further
like
to
thank
the
administrative
staff
for
your
getting
us
through
the
code
recovery
and
continuing
to
move
our
district
forward
through
some
obstacles
that
were
faced.
I
believe
we
have
a
very
competent
staff
and
it's
important
for
the
continuity
and
stability
to
continue
to
make
progress
in
the
school
district.
Dr
Benton's
leadership
was
important
and
I
do
have
to
say
that
for
the
past
year,
working
with
Colleen
has
been
indispensable
and
a
very
big
help.
A
Our
support
staff
has
been
impressive
in
dealing
with
the
challenges
and
transportation.
Food
Service
security
custodial
Etc
and
our
teaching
staff
has
persevered
and
continues
to
do
an
outstanding
job
and
our
most
important
task,
which
is
education,
I,
have
a
couple
things
I'll
continue
to
work
on,
such
as
maximizing
the
use
of
our
cable
channel
and
possibly
the
introduction
of
solar
energy
if
economically
Justified
over
the
weekend,
while
I
was
rooting
around
I
found
the
original
yearbook
of
William
pennant
High
School
from
1956
when
I
was
a
mere
child.
A
A
It's
fun
to
look
through
the
old
ads
and
see
who's
still
in
business
who's,
not,
and
what
the
Warminster
in
Southampton
used
to
look
like
and
finally,
I
and
looking
through
I
found
an
old
article
from
1967
February
when
my
father
was
president
of
school
board,
and
it
was
recognized
by
a
reporter
at
the
time
for
the
Bucks
County,
Courier
Times,
believe
it
or
not
when
they
used
to
cover
things
and
act
like
real
newspapers
that
this
is
a
reporter
speaking,
not
my
father
that
Centennial
School
District
is
generally
agreed
to
be
one
of
the
best
in
the
county
and
they've
done
a
lot
of
good
things
program
they
had
at
Lacey.
A
Elementary
School
became
the
foundation
for
what
is
now
the
Head
Start
program
and
so
forth,
and
their
biggest
problem
at
the
time
was
trying
to
deal
with
the
increased
population
that
was
coming
to
Warminster,
Southampton
and,
to
a
lesser
degree
Ivyland.
But
that's
that's
happened
later
so
again.
I
would
just
like
to
thank
everyone
for
I,
think
a
reasonably
Good
Year
and
we
can
proceed
with
the
meeting.
But
I
just
want
to
make
a
few
brief
comments.
If
you
indulge
me,
thank
you
with
that,
I
will
move
on
and
the
next
item.
D
Good
evening,
Mr
President
board
members
and
those
here
at
present
and
those
who
are
watching
first,
let
me
say,
as
we
make
this
transition
again
at
this
point
in
time,
it's
a
great
time
to
recognize
and
say
to
those
who
are
an
audience
and
those
who
are
watching
that
serving
as
a
board
member
has
to
be
a
labor
of
love.
D
They
have
assignments
in
preparation
to
try
to
make
the
best
decisions
that
they
can
make.
Based
on
information,
that's
provided
board.
Members
are
charged
with
voting
their
conviction
based
on
the
facts,
which
sometimes
does
not
sit
well
with
somebody.
It
will
always
have
someone
who's,
not
happy
with
the
decision
and
I
share
this
as
we
recognize
the
level
of
responsibility.
The
board
president
is
one
of
nine
votes,
but
they're,
charged
with
additional
duties
of
helping
a
plan
to
coordinate
and
manage
the
meeting
which,
depending
on
the
culture
and
climate,
is
not
always
easy.
D
So
with
that
said,
they
tend
to
carry
a
little
bit
more
opportunity
for
someone
to
not
be
happy
with
them
as
they
navigate
the
waters
in
a
board
meeting
and
trying
to
promote
the
team
of
ten,
as
with
the
custom,
wood,
Centennial
School
District.
Because
of
that
additional
responsibility
that
is
placed
upon
the
board
president,
each
board
president
is
presented
with
a
token
and
recognition
of
the
additional
responsibility
service.
D
A
Thank
you
and
I
guess
we
can
move
on
and
my
last
official
Duty
here
will
be
to
the
election
of
a
temporary
president,
who
will
then
conduct
the
rest
of
the
meeting
as
we
elect
the
officers
for
the
22-23
school
year.
So
at
this
point
it's
opened
for
nomination
of
the
Mr
very
important
president
Mr.
Well,
there's
two
hands:
Mr
gin,
Hart
and
Mrs
cross
Mr.
A
F
A
Temporary
president,
only
yes
ma'am
are
there
any
others.
I
do
not
see
any
that
should
make
it
easy
called
a
question
all
in
favor
of
Mr
gooderson
to
be
the
temporary
president
and
then
conduct
the
balance
of
the
meeting.
Please
say:
aye,
aye
aye,
no
roll
call
vote
required.
Mr
goodickson
I
will
pass
this
over
to
you,
I'm
not
going
to
change
seats
with
you,
but
no.
F
No
need
to
do
that,
so
the
next
order
of
business
is
to
elect.
Is
the
election
of
a
president
of
the
board
for
a
one-year
term?
Can
I
have
a
nomination?
Yes,
sir
Mr
Kennard
and
nominate
Mr
Morton.

F
Congratulations:
Mrs
Lynch
you're,
going
to
be
our
new
board
president,
but
I,
but
I
will
continue
to
finish
this
and
we
need
to
also
elect
a
new
vice
president.
So
can
I
take
any
nominations.
Yes,.
F
Any
other
nominations
scene,
nine,
we're
gonna
close
denominations
for
vice
president,
and
we
will
then
do
a
roll
call
on
the
first
name.
