Board
of
school
directors
of
Centennial
School
District
meeting
will
come
to
order
for
October
the
11th.
We
have
a
roll
call
of
attendance.
Please.
D
D
E
F
B
Okay
announcements:
we
did
have
an
executive
briefing
before
this
meeting
on
the
matter
of
security,
which
was
very
interesting
and
I
think
important.
B
B
But
I
I
was
really
impressed
with
the
transportation
department
how
quickly
they
recovered
from
the
loss
of
the
catalytic
converters
from
the
buses,
how
they
manage
the
situation
and
how,
in
a
relatively
short
period
of
time,
four
out
of
the
five
affected
buses
were
back
on
the
road
I
think
that
was
really
a
a
great
accomplishment
in
law
that
we're
involved
with
that
should
be
recognizing
and
recognition
for
doing
a
great
job
and
also
having
the
people,
the
students
their
some
days.
If
they
were
a
few
minutes
later
crowded
or
something
they
have
to
understand.
B
What
happened.
That
was
a
serious
situation
and
District
did
a
great
job,
I
think
in
recovering
from
it
and
there's
one
bus
left
to
go,
I
think
and
hopefully
we'll
get
that
one
when
we
can
I.
Probably
Dr
Breton
was
going
to
mention
that,
but
I
thought
it
was
good
to
recognize
that
from
the
from
the
board.
So
with
that
we
can
move
on
to
student
presentations,
of
which
I
think
we
have
two
and
from
William
Tennant
High
School
back
again,
Emma

G

Good
report
I
really
a
lot
going
on,
and
that's
that's
good
that
all
those
things
are
happening
at
the
at
the
school.
That's
that's
really
excellent.
We
also
have

E
B
Two
very
good
reports
tonight.
Thank
you.
Thank
you
both
very
much
that
was
excellent.
Any
questions
of
the
students.
Okay,
we
can
move
along
to
item
three
reports
from
standing
committees.
Is
there
anything
from
any
one
of
the
three
that
education
committee.
B
Finance
committee
I
think
meetings
are
scheduled
and
advertised,
so
hopefully
they'll
be
moving
forward
first,
one
in
the
week
or
so
they're
underway
and
operations
committee,
anything
Mr,
francata.
Okay,
thank
you.
So
much
moving
on
to
superintendents
report,
Dr
Betton.
I
Good
evening
board
members
and
those
in
attendance
here,
as
well
as
in
TV
Land
I,
do
want
to
piggyback
on
Mr
Martin's
comment
to
say
thank
you
again
to
the
staff,
but
I
also
want
to
say
thank
you
to
the
local
Regional
media,
who
really
reached
out
trying
to
bring
attention
to
this
issue.
You
know
we
weren't
the
only
District
in
Bucks
County.
We
want
to
have
previously,
but
it's
a
growing
problem,
even
where
Mr
police
had
put
out
warnings
with
this
concern.
I
The
summit
will
feature
a
presentation
from
our
staff
to
our
students
will
be
participating
in
that
all
Jazz
Ensemble
I
will
be
performing
also
at
that
event,
thus,
for
attendance,
attendees
from
the
summit
represent
school
districts
from
Across
the
Nation
coming
from
locations
such
as
California
Texas,
Illinois,
Tennessee
and
Virginia,
to
name
a
few
representing
school
districts
with
student
populations
of
several
thousand
to
one
as
large
as
200
000
students
in
their
school
district,
and
so
we
are
honored
to
be
asked
to
be
a
co-host
with
Penn
Graduate
School
of
Education
this
week
in
our
food
service
program,
the
national
school
lunch
week.
I
So
it's
reminder
that
this
week
is
a
national
school
lunch
week.
We
also
want
to
share
the
board.
They
had
a
food
nutrition
services
program
has
reported
our
frequent
reduced
lunch
rate
has
risen
to
44.26
percent.
As
of
this
morning's
report,
they
shared
with
me
the
Commonwealth
of
PA's
free
breakfast
program
started:
we've
gone
from
approximal
percent
eating
breakfast
to
21.9
percent.
We
also
want
to
thank
our
parents
and
Guardians
who
responded
to
messages
regarding
any
outstanding
meal
accounts
that
are
reconciling
those
giant
announced.
I
Giant
Food
Stores
announced
money
that
they're
feeding
skit
of
feeding
school
kids
program
is
continuing.
This
year
last
year
the
CSD
benefited
with
a
check
for
over
18
000
for
that
program,
which
also
help
offset
some
of
our
meal
deficits
that
we
had
in
the
district
good
news
today,
in
a
briefing
with
our
quarterly
meeting
with
Niche
today
CSD,
we
were
informed
by
Nets
that
our
school
district
has
now
received
the
2023
best
schools,
best
of
schools,
ranking
CSD,
improved
at
all
levels
in
a
ranking
state
region
and
County.
I
This
is
your
ninth
year
of
ranking
and
they
typically
assess
11
820
school
districts,
Across
the
Nation,
and
then
they
provide
data
both
on
a
county,
a
regional
and
state
level.
We
also
were
ranked
as
the
fifth
most
diverse
School
District
in
our
County
coming
soon
is
a
recognition
for
Statewide
Innovation
award
that
would
be
in
the
community,
be
informed
of
where
we'll
share
information
regarding
some
of
the
outstanding
work
of
our
faculty
and
students,
that
is
being
recognized
at
the
state
level
and
that
will
be
coming
out.
So
please
stay
tuned.
I
Additionally,
as
we
continue
to
work
on
creating
more
inclusive
and
environment,
enhancing
our
communication
with
our
parents
Guardians
and
our
students
who
speak
another
language.
We
continue
to
have
a
growth
and
become
that
more
diverse
in
a
number
of
languages.
In
our
school
district
last
year
we
had
represent
representation
from
43
countries
and
students
who
spoke
39
languages,
and
those
numbers
seem
like
they're
increasing
this
year,
which
we
will
reconcile
those
before
the
month
of
October
is
out
for
our
new,
fast
facts.
I
As
we
know,
the
need
continues
for
our
ability
to
communicate
with
a
growing
number
of
languages
in
our
district.
We
will
continue
to
try
to
implement
a
cost-effective
resources
for
our
teachers
and
our
staff
to
be
able
to
effectively
engage
our
our
community
and
our
parents.
I
School
districts
across
the
country
are
having
challenges
with
finding
language
Services,
because
there's
a
shortage
given
the
need
for
immediate
service
and
the
shortage
we
are
actually
in
a
process
of
piling
piloting
a
new
language
translation
resource
that
supports
written
verbal
and
visual
communication,
that
is
under
the
department
of
student
services.
Finally,
the
board
had,
as
part
of
their
approval
of
the
K-5
summer
reading,
take
home
book
pack.
We're
able
to
show
you
the
results
of
some
of
that
that
happen
with
regards
to
opt
out
and
comments
from
parents
and
feedback.
I
I
As
always
with
any
of
our
presentations,
we
want
to
remind
people
our
mission
and
vision.
What
you
see
on
this
screen
now
is
one
of
the
pilot
software
programs
that
we
actually
have
in
Centennial.
That
will
allow
us
to
speak
to
anyone
and
translate
it
to
any
language.
We
have
done
this
with
Spanish
and
we
did
it
the
other
day
when
I
did
professional
learning
and
one
of
our
staff
members
speaks
Russian
and
it
was
translating
in
Russian
for
them.
I
As
you
remember
this
past
summer,
the
school
district
was
pleased
to
provide
a
read
for
better
world
summer
reading
pack
as
a
choice
program
for
our
children,
and
our
parents
had
choice
in
the
matter.
They
read
summer
practice
repeat
packaged
for
individual
readers
and
it
contained
five
grade
level,
aligned,
paperback
books
and
worksheet
full
of
prompts
and
activities.
These
were
not
graded
activities,
but
they
were
intended
to
be
continuous
learning
that
was
fun
for
students
at
the
board's
request.
I
As
we
shared
on
March
22nd
at
the
board
meeting,
we
will
provide
a
follow-up
with
information
so
a
the
summer.
The
summary
the
opt-out
form
for
what
the
families
that
we're
not
interested
in
receiving
the
book
packs
and
an
opportunity
for
our
K5
families
to
provide
feedback
so
that,
if
we
continue
to
do
this,
how
do
we
get
better
at
it?
What
you
will
see
here
is
the
opt-out
results.
I
There
were
a
total
of
16
total
students
who
were
opted
out,
I
think
that
represented
13
families
overall,
so
some
had
more
than
one
child
in
there.
What
you
can
see
is
the
number
of
students
by
school
and
then
a
number
of
students
by
grade
level
within
the
district
that
opted
out.
I
The
question
that
was
put
for
feedback
was
reflecting
on
a
book
pack
circulated
this
past
summer.
What
are
some
of
the
ways
it
added
value
to
your
child,
some
experience
if
we
were
to
provide
the
books
for
the
students
again
in
the
future?
What
would
you
like
for
us
to
consider
and
the
breakdown
on
the
thoughts
of
the
rating?
There
were
42
participants
who
responded.
They
generated
roughly
25
different
thoughts
and
over
200
different
ratings.
We
do
thought
exchange
because
it
is
meant
to
it's
not
a
survey.
I
The
participation
and
the
questions
were
such
thing,
as
did
your
children
take
the
book,
packs
home
and
you
could
see
the
breakdown.
The
other
one
was
what
languages
participation
was
in.
The
English
and
Spanish
were
by
far
the
largest.
What.
I
I
They
also,
we
asked
for
participation
by
Home
Building,
and
so
you
can
see
out
of
the
37
38
responses.
It
breaks
it
down
by
building
that
we're
able
to
collect
then
by
grade
level.
I
I
Overall,
how
satisfied
was
your
students
with
the
topics
content
and
then
you
see
the
breakdown,
and
this
is
available
for
public
view
on
the
site:
I'm
not
going
to
read
all
of
them,
but
then
it
gives
us
the
key
thoughts,
there's
feedback
and
you
can
see
some
of
the
wording
in
the
comments
that
we
were
received.
These
were
the
top
three
comments.
I
It
was
great
to
have
the
school
communicate
with
my
son
about
reading
over
the
summer
and
provide
resources
for
him
to
do
so
and
there's
more
to
it
than
the
next
reading
level
for
every
special
needs
child.
My
son
was
in
a
fourth
grade
level,
but
the
book
reads
at
the
second
grade
level:
shouldn't
the
reading
program
promote
reading
for
all
children.
So
that's
feedback.
I
When
we
talk
about
the
needs
of
of
the
student
population,
my
daughter
found
the
books
to
be
too
easy,
which
we
thought
was
a
compliment,
meaning
they
want
something
more
rigorous.
So
we
felt
that
was
a
good
feedback.
They
want
something
more
rigorous
and
you
can
see
the
rest
of
them.
I.
Don't
think
I
need
to
read
all
of
them
pause
for
a
moment.
I
I
And
again,
you'll
be
able
to
so
summary
of
The
Thought
exchange
you'll,
see
overall,
that
42
total
participants
36
to
home
took
home
the
book
packs.
65
percent
of
the
participants
were
very
somewhat
satisfied.
35
percent
were
somewhat
a
very
dissatisfied
streams
where
they
were
enjoyable.
They
were
a
good
mix
of
fiction
and
non-fiction
opportunity
areas
for
us
to
improve.
You
heard
the
comment
about
they
liked
it,
but
they
want
more
challenging
books.
One
person
said
it
wasn't
big
enough.
I
Wasn't
thick
enough
in
a
grade
level,
look
at
differentiating
students
as
much
lower
level
than
offered
that's
something
that
we
have
to
work
closer
with
the
school
to
figure
out.
If
there's
an
opportunity
to
personalize
a
little
bit
more
to
to
the
students
who
may
not
be
reading
on
grade
level
and
giving
them
the
grade
level
book
turn
out
to
be
a
challenge
at
that
point
for
them,
and
just
to
give
you
a
little
bit
information
about
what
you
just
saw.
Here's
information
about
the
software
that
we
you
just
saw
demonstrated.
I
It
actually
allows
us
to
communicate
also
real
time
using
our
phones.
So
these
are
resources
at
some
point.
We
were
rolling
out
to
our
teachers
where
it'll
translate
instantaneously,
so
I
was
able
to
talk
to
someone
in
Russian
the
other
day
by
speaking,
and
then
it
translated
in
Russian
to
the
person
they
spoke
and
it
spoke
back
to
me
in
English.
Go
ahead
now,
Nate.
J
I'm
Will
Lewis
I'm,
a
principal
program
manager
with
the
Microsoft
translator
team,
and
recently
we
had
a
group
of
students
who
were
being
hosted
at
the
University
of
Washington,
a
group
of
Chinese
students,
in
particular
Chinese
undergraduate
students,
and
they
were
visiting
at
the
University
of
Washington
for
a
few
days.
They
brought
them
over
here
to
MSR
for
a
brief
time
to
introduce
them
to
the
research
that
Mike
is
being
done
at
Microsoft
research,
and
so
we
actually
had
them
come
to
a
talk
that
I
was
giving
on
what
we
do
on
speech
translation.
J
So
the
translator
live
feature
is
the
feature
that
allows
you
to
create
a
what
we
call
a
virtual
room
where
people
can
have
conversations
in
multiple
languages,
and
so
what
happens
is
while
I'm
talking?
They
will
see
the
transcripts
on
the
screen.
If
I
choose
to
have
them
on
the
screen
and
then
they
will
also
see
the
transcripts
on
their
local
devices
in
the
language
of
choice.
And
so
when
I
talk,
you
hear
the
Mandarin
actually
being
spoken
as
I.
J
You
see
the
transcript
of
what
he's
asking
on
the
screen
in
English,
not
in
Mandarin.
The
students
were
completely
Amazed
by
this
feature.
When
they
saw
the
transcripts
of
me
talking,
they
were
showing
up
on
the
screen,
then
they
were
seeing
them
on
their
own
devices
and
then
they
were
seeing
them
in
Chinese
script
as
I
was
talking
and
then
at
one
point,
I
turned
on
the
audio,
so
they
could
hear
the
Mandarin
being
spoken
as
I
was
speaking.
English
is
particularly
important
in
the
classroom
because.
I
But
our
ELD
teachers
will
be
able
to
get
better
support
and
supporting
those
students
and
then
also
as
we
we've
gotten,
a
growth
in
Russian
and
Ukrainian
students
and
I
can
tell
you.
Mr
Golder
use
the
feature
the
other
day
with
his
Ukrainian
students
and
what
the
you
know
beyond
the
fact
that
he
was
able
to
talk
to
them
and
understand
I
just
want
to
share
the
most
powerful
thing
that
he
was
so
excited
to
share
with
me
was
their
comment.
I
J
How
many
languages
can
this
machine
actually.
B
Good
report,
a
lot
of
good
things
happening.
Thank
you
very
much.
Moving
on
to
item
four
approval
of
the
agenda.
Is
there
a
motion
to
approve
the
agenda
that
moved?
Second,
all
favor,
all
right,
all
right:
okay,
we
have
an
agenda
I
seriously.
Doubt
there's
any
public
comment.
It
was.
There
doesn't
appear
to
be
much
public
attending
our
meeting
this
evening.
B
Do
we
so
we
can
move
along
to
the
consent?
Item,
6.1,
there's,
six
point:
anybody
want
anything
held
from
6.1
to
612.
B
Okay,
that's
fine
anything
else.
I
I
have
two
things
with
the
minutes
and
then
we
can
we
can.
We
can
move
on
to
to
adopt
the
various
things
one
one
two
items,
one
from
each
set
of
minutes.
These
are
very
minor
but
I
think
they
they
important
from
the
minutes
of
September
13th.
B
B
So
if
we
could
just
add
I,
don't
know
who
those
people
were,
but
if
we
can
add
those
I
think
that
would
bring
those
minutes
up
to
up
to
everything
else
is
very,
very
well
done,
Colleen
and
in
minutes
from
September
the
27th
under
the
superintendents
report
in
the
very
beginning,
I
believe
it
indicated
that
Mr
Miller
had
complemented
the
superintendent
and
I
believe
it
was
me
that
did
that
and
not
not
Mr
Miller,
it
was
about
Mr,
Miller's
Overlook
and
sending
us
the
pictures
of
same
but
I
would
hope.
B
It
wasn't.
Mr
Miller,
it
was
commenting.
Why?
Well,
though,
maybe
he
was
very
happy
that
we
got
the
pictures
of
the
of
the
Overlook
but
they're
the
only
two,
very
minor
things.
Just
in
case
anybody
was
wondering
you're
reading
the
minister
did
I
read
all
everything
there.
You
go
okay,
but
with
those
two
minor
changes.
If
anybody
has
any
question
about
those,
hopefully
they
can
be
adopted
with
along
with
the
minutes.
So
with
that
we'll
go
through
this,
we
have
the
minute
6.1
a
6.1
B,
which
are
the
two
sets
of
minutes.
B
The
cost
of
registration
lodging
and
meals
is
being
paid
by
the
form.

6.11

None
and
6.12
changes
to
academic
progress
positions,
type
pens,
none
is
there
a
motion
to
adopt
I
would
just
like.
Yes,
sir
I.
L
B
Okay,
we'll
do
that:
okay,
we're
voting
on
everything
except
6.7,
Daily,
Motion,
second
old
favor,
aye
aye,
all
right.
Okay,
now
we
go
back
to
6.7
B,
which
was
the
the
the
doors
and
Motors
at
Klinger,
Middle
School,
very
common,
and
we
just
want
to
vote
separately
I.
B
B
D
B
Thank
you
very
much.
Okay.
Are
we
moving
on
to
item
seven
new
business
is
to
approve
the
administration's
recommendation
for
Budget
work
session
meetings
to
be
held,
December
15th
in
Feb
of
and
February
7th
of
next
year
to
be
included
in
the
2022-2023
fiscal
year
budget
calendar.
B
My
only
comment
to
that
is
that's
up
to
everybody.
If
they
want
to
do
that,
December
15th
happens
to
be
the
third
Thursday
of
the
month.
I
have
a
commitment,
the
third
Thursday
every
month,
but
please
have
a
budget
session
without
me,
they're
not
very
exciting
anyway.
B
Okay,
whatever
the
pleasure
of
the
board,
is
that's
what
that's?
What
we'll
do.
I
Mr
President
we
try
to
piggyback
on
Tuesdays,
but
we're
obviously
in
December
is
a
short
month
and
the
any
Tuesday
that
was
available
was
going
to
be.
Why
do
we
need
this
holiday?
Because
you
all
have
a
lot
of
questions
and
stuff
and.
B
B
D
Thank
you,
sir.
We
have
a
handful
of
policies
for
initial
read
tonight:
the
first
three
policy:
zero,
zero,
two
policy:
zero,
zero,
five
and
policy,
zero,
zero
six
are
board
operational
policies.
The
only
changing
or
the
changes
are
being
made
are
the
addition
of
board
operating
guidelines.
The
policies
themselves
remain
unchanged,
just
as
a
reminder
and
a
refresher
I
know
I
needed
it.
Board
operating
guidelines
operate
alongside
of
policies;
they
don't
replace
them,
they're,
just
basically
a
framework
that
allows
us
to
Implement
policies
more
effectively
and
answer
any
questions.
D
If
we
may
have
them,
they've
been
around
for
a
long
time
just
haven't
been
used
so
now
we're
putting
these
into
effect
to
kind
of
streamline
the
operation
of
policies,
policy,
206.,
two
parts
to
that:
we're
removing
one
section
that
addresses
a
senior
moving
from
the
district
and
being
able
to
finish
his
senior
year
only
because
that
is
already
addressed
in
policy
202
and
it's
redundant
right
and
we're
also
addressing
a
student
moving
to
another
school
zone
while
they're
still
in
the
district
and
just
being
able
to
attend
the
school
for
the
remainder
of
the
year
policy.
D
B
Thank
you,
Michigan
heart
I
noticed
there
was
I,
believe
you're,
proposing
a
change
a
little
bit
in
the
public,
put
I
think
it's
a
public
participation
one
hasn't
having
to
do
with
people
who
want
to
who
are
residents
who
want
to
give
their
time
to
a
non-resident
that
that
is
not
going
to
be
permitted
any
longer.
Yes
right!
That's
that's!
In
that
policy.
I
didn't
see
too
much
else.
It
was
I,
think
they're.
All
good
changes
that
you're.
B
Yeah
yeah,
so
they'll
be
coming
up
for
adoption
at
an
upcoming
meeting,
and
we
also
make
comments
on
any
of
those.
Now.
I
have
a
comment.
Yes,.
H
Ma'am
the
meeting
was
robust
and
we
had
all
members
of
the
committee
which
is
crossing
zodowski
and
myself,
and
it
was
a
very,
very
good
meeting.
B
Excellent,
it's
good
to
get
these
policies
current
as
best
we
can
and
make
any
changes.
So
that's
good
all
good!
Thank
you!
Mr
gennard.
Thank
your
committee.
Thank
you.
Okay.
We
can
move
on
to.
B
Item
nine,
it
resolved
the
Centennial
School
District
Board
of
Directors
approves
the
schedule
of
bills,
Investments
cafeteria
fund
budget
reports
and
general
fund
cash
receipt.
Summary
September
22
as
president
attached
9.2
approves
the
pending
bills
list.
That's
pretty
attached
to
9.3
accepts
the
pre-approved
bills
list
as
pretty
attached.
Anybody
have
any
question
of
any
of
those,
not
as
your
motion
to
approve
10
minutes.
Second,
second,
yes,
anything
all
favor,
all
right,
unanimous,
all
right!
Moving
to
item
10
board,
discussion
and
comments,
any
word
discussion.
Anyone
has
this
evening.
Anyone
I
do
yes,
ma'am
Mrs
Lynch.
H
H
If
anyone
read
the
reports
that
were
sent
out,
there
was
a
picture
of
the
handicap,
the
progress
so
far
that
was
there
was
a
sign
there.
There
was
never
a
sign.
There
was
an
emblem
on
the
on
the
ground,
designating
that
is
handicapped
I,
keep
kidding
Mr
Shepherd
that
we
have
to
get
this
done
in
a
week.
H
I
know
that's
not
realistic,
but
for
people
in
my
situation
and
other
situations,
you
can't
imagine
how
much
this
means
to
them
and
I'm
so
proud
of
this
Administration
that
it's
getting
this
done
in
five
weeks.
That's
remarkable
on
behalf
of
everybody
who
needs
that
especially
me.
Thank
you.
Second
thing,
I'd
like
to
say,
is
this
month
is
Breast
Cancer
month.
H
B
D
No
other
than
just
we're
moving
through
it,
and
we
have
a
lot
of
policies
to
change
because
of
legal
changes.
So
we're
slogging
through
it
and
just
to
remind
everybody,
as
they
want
to
see
our
policies
they're
available
on
the
website,
navigate
to
the
school
board
to
board
docs.
And
you
can
see
all
our
policies.
K
I
will
note
that
the
Bucks
County
Intermediate
Unit
is
in
the
same
situation
as
a
lot
of
the
school
districts
and
meeting
folks
to
employ
so
if
anyone's
interested
in
a
job-
and
you
haven't
already
checked
Centennial
School
District
for
a
job
that
would
suit
your
needs.
Please
check
out
Bucks
County
Intermediate
Unit.
Thank
you
very.
B
Good
and
I
I
note
from
our
reports.
Our
number
of
vacant
positions
is,
is
slowly
going
down,
so
that's
a
compliment
to
our
HR
department.
I
think
we're
either
the
economy
or
something
is
happening,
but
our
jobs
are
slowly
getting
filled
and
the
numbers
are
shrinking.
So
that's
a
good
thing.
Thank
you.
Miss
ironberg,
Mr,
sadowsky
psba.
Anything.
M
Just
the
we
have
the
psba,
as
you
mentioned
before,
Charlie
leadership
conference
coming
up,
which
Mr,
Beale
and
Mr
will
be
going
to
on
October,
31st
and
November
1st
I
believe
Chelly.
Are
you
going
to
attend
that
as
well
and
Patty
excellent,
we'll
be
in
attendance
on
that
level
as
well,
which
is
fantastic?
M
I?
Let's
see
I'm
going
to
send
over
to
the
folks
on
the
board
some
timely
items
in
recent
psba
emails
regarding
school
safety,
which
you
know
or
pertinent
to
our
conversation
tonight
and
some
other
sessions
we
might
be
able
to
check
in
on
for
some
added
understanding
there
as
a
follow-up
to
the
session
coming
up
in
Kalahari,
there
is
a
connections.
School
safety
and
mental
health
session
was
one
of
the
post-conference
sessions.
People
can
join
online,
so
you
can
register
to
that
on
my
psba,
which
is
a
fantastic
opportunity
as
well.
M
I
was
just
over
at
psba
in
Mechanicsburg
a
few
weekends
ago
for
the
kickoff
of
the
policy
Institute,
as
I
mentioned
at
last
time,
I
gave
a
report
on
psba.
It
was
fantastic
to
meet
some
directors
from
across
the
state,
some
other
local
districts.
In
this
area
too,
connected
with
some
great
directors
and
made
some
new
contacts,
so
it
was
good
to
swap
stories
and
experiences
and
concerns
I,
look
forward
to
that
series.
Continuing.
I
Mr
President,
yes,
sir
I
I
actually
did
not
want
to
let
the
cat
out
the
bag,
but
I
forgot.
This
agenda
item
was
on
there.
Since
everyone
knows
Dr
best.
You
have
a
mic
there
with
you
that
that
reference
I
made
since
it's
been
referenced
to
let
the
board
know
two
of
our
teachers
are
getting
the
Innovation
award
in
the
state
so
Dr
best.
If
you
could
share
a
little
bit
to
the
board
sure.
L
Yes
is:
is
the
the
conference
the
board
just
approved,
Mr
Beale
and
Mr
Ohio
were
nominated
for
and
are
the
only
recipients
in
the
state
of
Pennsylvania
psbas
Pennsylvania
Innovative
educator
award.
L
So
it's
sometimes
all
awarded
to
a
single
teacher,
in
this
case
they're
co-winners,
because
they
created
a
program
together,
which
is
our
biotech
career
Pathways
program
that
they
presented
to
the
board
about
a
year
ago,
where
students,
through
the
the
grace
of
the
250
000
Grant
they
were
awarded
by
the
state,
are
able
to
get
paid
internships
in
biotech
fields
in
the
summertime,
so
kids,
who
normally
would
have
to
turn
down
an
internship
to
get
a
paid
job
doing
something
else,
have
the
opportunity
to
earn
stipends
throughout
the
summer
to
go.
L
Get
that
career
work
experience
this
summer
alone,
we
paid
out
nearly
forty
thousand
dollars
in
stipends
to
students
to
participate
in
internships
in
six
different
sites
in
in
the
area
of
our
partners.
So
there'll
be
a
press
release
coming
out
pretty
soon,
but
it's
a
really
remarkable
accomplishment
and
a
big
credit
to
these
teachers.
It's.
M
I
B
Record
my
presentation
that
was
quite
a
very
good
program,
I'm
glad
it
got
recognition.
That's
wonderful
and
thank
you
for
doing
the
psba
stuff.
It's
important
and
you
know
we
didn't
have
too
many
volunteers
to
do
that.
So
thank
you
for
doing
that.
Happy
too
Mr,
ginhardt,
I
think
with
the
legislative
Council.
D
Yeah
one
quick
thing:
the
Senate
state
government
Committee
just
voted
out
of
committee,
two
bills
that
are
addressing
changes
in
the
right
to
no
laws
and
that's
pretty
important
for
everybody
to
be
in
tune
with
there's
a
lot
going
on.
So
the
best
thing
is:
if
anybody
is
interested
is
to
get
a
hold
of
their
elected
representatives,
both
the
Commonwealth
senators
and
house
members,
and
ask
about
House
Bill
2524
and
Senate
bill
492..
You
can
also
read
them
on
the
the
state
website
and
see
what
the
changes
are
all
about.
B
Thank
you
and
middle
bucks,
Institute
of
Technology
executive
Council
liaison.
That's
not
me!
That's
Mr,
Fleming
godickson,
but
anybody
else
from
mbit
have
you
on.
L
What's
going
on
there,
oh
yeah,
it
doesn't
matter,
I
mean
we
had
just
appointed
a
new
superintendent,
which
you
heard
earlier.
L
F
Sorry
he's
a
new
principal
principal
okay,
yeah,
DeMarco,
Val
and
then
I
believe
they're
going
to
start
the
interviews
for
an
assistant
principal
in
the
coming
weeks.
F
Dr
seidenberger
is
doing
a
great
job
there,
oh
okay
and
I,
and
and
that's
pretty
much
they're
they're
making
improvements
or
making
Headway
on
the
construction
outside
of
the
new
concrete,
so
Mr
Fleming
gotickson
is
not
here
tonight.
He
did
say
that
I
could
share.
F
He
is
out
of
the
country
right
now
because
he
had
a
death
in
his
family.
So
if
you
could
keep
his
family
in
your
prayers,
that
would
be
wonderful.
Thank
you.
B
Yeah
now
he
would
like
to
have
been
here.
He
had
an
unexpected
turn
around
and
go
back
to
Denmark,
unfortunately,
so
hopefully
he'll
be
with
us
at
the
next
meeting.
But
thank
you,
Communications
I
have
nothing
to
add.
As
far
as
Communications
is
concerned,
additional
public
comment
there
wasn't
any
in
the
beginning,
so
there
won't
be
any
additional
this
man
Carter.
Do
you
have
a
schedule
of
what
we're
supposed
to
be
doing?
