A
C
A
Thank
you,
foreign
very
few
announcements.
This
evening
we
did
have
a
an
executive
meeting
just
prior
to
this
meeting
to
review
some
kind
of
board
policies.
I
would
like
to
compliment
the
shirt
of
one
of
our
board
members
this
evening.
Recognizing
the
upcoming
World
Series
I
think
we
all
appreciate
that.
But
it's
a
very
nice
shirt.
You
had
the
opportunity
to
get
one.
That's
that's
good.
They're,
going
fast,
I
understand
the
line
line
it
takes
to
get
paraphernalia.
So
that's
a
good
thing
and.
D
A
You're
not
kidding
it's
very
good
for
good
for
baseball
good
for
the
city
good
for
everybody.
Now
we
just
have
to
start
Friday
night
and
be
Houston,
and
the
only
other
two
things
I
like
to
say:
I
did
see
that
in
the
in
the
field
of
Athletics,
our
cross-country
team
I
think
was
League
champions
and
hopefully
that
can
go
on
and
I.
A
Think
as
we
speak,
our
girls
volleyball
team
is
in
the
District
tournament
at
our
school,
so
some
of
our
sports
teams
managed
to
do
very,
very
well
and
condolences
to
some
of
the
other
ones,
but
anyway
Dr
Breton.
Do
you
have
anything
for
us.
E
But
nothing
big
to
add,
because
the
big
news
is
coming
up
on
that
education
report
just
overarching
enrollment,
we
were
continuing
to
enroll
students
last
week,
so
enrollment
will
exceed
I.
Believe
last
year's
of
significant
impact
also
is
we've.
Had
some
additional
languages
show
up
in
the
district
and
at
some
point
we
will
provide
the
board
with
a
report
we're
finishing
up
on
the
fast
facts.
E
We
predominantly
based
that
document
on
our
October
official
one
information
we
have
to
turn
into
the
state,
so
that
will
be
coming
out
and
we'll
give
you
a
breakdown
of
the
final
enrollment,
as
well
as
some
of
the
shift
in
language,
but
we're
glad
to
have
Miss
Burke
that
you
approved
to
focus
on
the
work
with
our
multilingual
student
population
and
she's
hit
the
ground
running.
Thank.
A
You
thank
you.
Thank
you.
Dr
Breton,
very
much
we'll
have
an
opportunity
for
public
comment,
but
I
don't
know
if
there
will
be
any
so
I
look
around
I
think
we
can
skip
Beyond
public
comment
for
right
now
and
move
on
to
item
two
Mr
godoxin
is
still
returning
to
the
country.
I
believe
he'll
be
back
very
very
shortly.
So
in
his
absence
will
just
read
through
2.1,
which
the
board
of
Centennial
School
directors
approves
the
October
25th
I
committee.
The
whole
agenda
as
per
the
attached.
That's
this
evening's
agenda.
A
Is
there
a
motion
motion?
Second,
second,
all
favor,
all
right.
It's
adopted
under
new
business
there's
one
item
again,
which
is
to
approve
the
Personnel
agenda,
including
the
rescinded
job,
offer
resignations:
authorization,
employee,
leave
of
absence,
change
of
status
and
co-curricular
editions
as
per
the
attached.
Is
there
a
motion.
G
All
right
and
I
guess
should
I
log
up
there
to
look
at
that.
It's
moving
and
I
didn't
even
have
to
touch
anything
all
right,
and
is
that
perfect?
Let
me
grab
my
notes.
G
I
am
Emory.
Catalano
I
teach
emotional
support
at
Log,
College
middle
school
and
I
had
the
absolute
pleasure
of
coordinating
Panther
Cubs
this
summer.
The
previous
summer,
Dr
Kathy
Perkins,
ran
the
program
and
I
think
she
realized.
It
was
a
lot
for
a
building
principal
to
both
run
their
building
over
the
summer
and
also
try
and
coordinate
a
summer
program.
So
they
added
this
position
and
I
was
able
to
coordinate
the
scheduling
work
with
the
coaches
to
develop
the
curriculum
work
with
the
teachers
to
develop
their
classroom
routines.
G
G
It
was
a
goal
to
build
Partnerships
with
parents
to
develop
that
summer
growth
in
order
to
support
their
proficiency
for
when
they
return
in
the
fall
and
the
standards
aligned
instruction
that
was
developed
by
the
coaches
and
then
supported
by
the
classroom.
Teachers
did
just
that.
As
always,
our
goal
is
to
prepare
students
for
that
post-secondary
success
and
providing
math
and
reading
intervention
for
those
students
who
really
need
it.
The
most
definitely
supports
that
Vision,
so
I
think
we
were
definitely
able
to
do
that
this
summer,
really
quickly.
G
At
a
glance
we
had
13
teachers
this
summer,
11
of
which
were
Centennial
teachers.
The
others
had
previously
worked
in
Centennial
as
long-term
subs
and
wanted
to
come
back
for
this
program.
We
had
seven
instructional
assistants.
They
worked
in
all
of
the
different
grade
levels.
We
kind
of
moved
them
around
as
we
needed,
and
they
were.
They
were
awesome.
G
They
were
a
great
group
and
a
lot
of
them
actually
work
instantennial
during
the
school
year
as
well,
there
were
203
students
that
were
initially
enrolled,
124
regularly
attended,
which
is
pretty
typical
for
a
free
summer
program.
Teachers
sign
up,
you
know
in
January,
February,
March
and
then
the
summer
comes
and
they
go
on
vacation
or
they
do
summer
camp
instead.
So
124
was
a
really
solid
number.
We
were
really
happy
to
see
that
many
students
regularly
attend.
G
G
We
did
breakfast
and
lunch
in
the
cafeteria,
which
was
a
little
bit
different
than
the
previous
summer,
so
we
actually
had
about
450
less
instructional
minutes
this
summer
and
still
made
amazing
growth.
So
I
did
want
to
note
that,
like
I
said
summer
sounds
like
a
long
time,
but
it's
really
only
15
days
and
the
teachers
did
a
phenomenal
job.
There
was
over
20
average
academic
growth
across
the
the
groups
of
students
and
I'm,
going
to
talk
a
little
bit
about
what
that
looked
like
at
each
grade
level.
G
G
So
in
that
Rising,
first
and
second
group,
the
pass
rate
indicates
the
percentage
of
students
who
pass
lessons
aligned
with
grade
level
foundational
standards
and
then
in
the
rising
third,
fourth
and
fifth
grade
levels.
We
were
able
to
use
some
really
strong,
pre
and
post
assessments
that
our
coaches
selected
to
show
how
they
grew
over
time.
So
I'm
going
to
move
through
that
as
well
and
I'm,
going
to
show
you
each
grade
and
each
content
area
and
talk
a
little
bit
about
that
growth.
G
So
for
our
Rising
third
graders,
the
pre
and
post
assessment
was
done
on
adding
two-digit
numbers.
They
didn't
work
on
only
that
for
15
days,
but
that
was
one
of
those
grade
level
standards
aligned
skills
that
we
really
like
to
see
those
students
be
able
to
be
proficient
in.
So
that
was
what
they
chose
for
the
pre
and
post
assessment
throughout
each
class.
Teachers
did
whole
group
instructions,
small
group
group
instruction,
as
well
as
individual
intervention,
and
there
was
awesome
growth
here.
The
growth
for
grade
three
in
Math
Rising
grade
three.
G
G
Super
growth
there
as
well
of
27
percent
for
our
Rising.
Fourth
graders,
the
math
skill
that
they
focused
on
was
multiplication
and
division
facts
and,
as
a
current
sixth
grade
teacher
I
can
tell
you
how
hugely
important
it
is
that
they
have
this
foundational
skill.
So
I
was
thrilled
that
this
is
what
they
chose
to
focus
on
for
the
prey
and
post
assessment,
and
there
was
awesome
growth
here
as
well
of
27
and
then
in
Reading.
G
They
used
a
similar
goal
of
recounting
stories
and
determining
Central
message
and
the
growth
there
was
a
really
solid,
10
percent,
a
rising
fifth
grade.
We
don't
have
a
math
metric
for
the
end.
There
was
a
little
bit
of
a
digital
oops
the
day
that
they
were
working
on
the
final
assessment,
so
they
weren't
able
to
get
those
scores.
But
after
speaking
with
the
teachers,
there
was
a
ton
of
growth.
G
I
just
didn't
want
to
make
a
chart
without
that
end
number
to
show
you,
but
for
reading
they
focused
on
themes
and
summaries
in
fifth
grade.
This
was
our
smallest
group.
There
were
about
12
students
that
regularly
attended
in
this
older
group
and
again
they
had
they
had
very
strong
growth
with
nine
percent.
Again
I
can't
stress
enough
how
wonderful
it
was
to
be
a
part
of
this
program.
G
I
always
do
a
survey,
an
anonymous
survey
when
I
kind
of
organize
any
program,
and
so
I
did
the
same
with
the
teachers
and
these
support
staff
to
provide
feedback,
honest
feedback
and
the
The
Pride
that
they
had
in
being
part
of
this
program
and
being
in
the
classroom
seeing
these
children
grow.
It
was
just
awesome
to
read
their
comments.
Their
every
teacher
is
excited
to
come
back
next
summer.
Some
have
already
emailed
me:
hey.
Don't
forget
when
you,
you
know
when
you
guys
do
Panther
Cubs
again,
here's
my
email,
so
you
know
it.
G
It
was
an
absolute
pleasure,
especially
knowing
how
solidly
our
district
has
jumped
into
iready.
I-Ready
is
what
we
used
for
a
lot
of
our
summer
program
and
it
was
relatively
new
at
the
end
of
last
year
and
into
the
summer
and
the
the
initiative,
the
district
has
taken
to
really
solidify
our
ability,
as
teachers
to
utilize
the
program
and
use
the
data.
I
can't
stress
enough
how
awesome
that's
been
so
I'm
just
so
excited
for
next
summer.
G
The
growth
that
we
saw
this
summer
was
was
awesome
and
I
can't
wait
to
provide
that
opportunity
to
elementary
school
students
for
next
summer.
So
if
there
are
any
questions
or
yes.
F
I
just
have
a
comment
sure
Catalano
amazing
job.
Thank
you.
Thank
you
for
the
way
you
organize
the
data
for
us.
Thank
you
for
your
effort.
Your
time,
I,
don't
know
that
a
lot
of
other
school
districts
are
doing
this
I'm
sure
some,
but
I,
just
love
that
we
are
doing
everything
we
possibly
can
to
close
those
gaps.
Thank
you.
So
much
absolutely.
G
You
know
almost
all
districts
have
esy
right
for
those
students
who
have
their
IEPs
in
need
it.
This
is
awesome
because
it
recognizes
that
there's
a
large
population
of
students
that
do
also
need
intervention
to
kind
of
you
know
fight
that
learning
loss.
That
happens,
and
it's
so
awesome
to
be
able
to
see
those
students
get
that
intervention
so
that
when
they
come
back
in
the
fall,
they're
ready
to
go
they've
been
in
school
still
for
a
lot
of
the
summer,
so
they
still
remember
what
it's
like
to
be.
G
D
Okay
item
five
one

I'm.

E
C
A
H
Yes,
just
a
note
that
a
week
and
a
half
left
before
cef's
Dueling
Pianos
event
on
Friday
November
4th
I've
plugged
it
before
I'll
plug
it
again,
it's
a
fun
event.
It's
for
a
great
cause
that
money
they
raise
goes
to
support
students
and
teachers
and
great
initiatives
here
in
our
district
and
has
for
25
years
they're.
An
incredible
group
so
come
out,
enjoy
a
fun
night
of
food
and
music
and
fun
with
everybody.
That
is
not
this
Friday,
but
next
so.
H
A
Hopefully,
you're
right
and
the
only
thing
I
would
again
for
anybody
at
the
two
weeks
from
today
is
election
day.
It's
important
that
everyone
votes,
so
we
can
get
a
idea
who's
going
to
be
our
officials
moving
forward.
So
hopefully
everyone
will
take
front
vote
two
weeks
from
today,
we'll
still
be
open
until
eight
o'clock,
so
go
to
polls
and
vote.
Okay
with
that,
we
will
take
a
motion
to
adjourn
this
meeting.
Second,
all
favor
I
think
we
set
a
record.
Thank
you
very
much.
