This property is known as Oak Knoll, it's a contributing property in the historic overlay district and it was constructed in approximately 1927.

Several of the board members were present to do a preliminary walkthrough, which is not a requirement of the program but gives the board the benefit of seeing in person. The proposed work.

So I think what we're doing now, we're looking at the scope of what they're doing and agreeing in principle to the to the type of work that they're doing in the original house, and we walk through most of us that change to walk through to see that he said: reserve the original interior, casings doors window, casings wall finishes and molding crown mold, and then, of course, there will be some refurbishing of of areas in the rear and.

Our intent is to keep the doors and even I, don't want to speak for the interior designer, but Alisa heiner's here and I can assure you that oh and Ashlee style has to be very subtle and restrained. So even in the fixtures and things like that, without being actual period, reproductions they'll be sensitive and understated.

It'll probably be a pedestal sink as well. You know, but but I think that that you know if there is a variation from that I think they'll be sensitive to it and it could be a situation with these smaller houses, where you have a small bathroom and you don't have any place for storage or.

Like that, if anything you know the the primary issue would be that it would be restrained and understated, but I am pretty confident that it'll probably be a pedestal, sink mm-hmm. How.

About was photo D, it's the butler's, pantry correct, even larger. It also looks like there's some space issues in there and lifts the photograph just kind of misstated. It looks very.

Narrow a little bit on that that's actually modern cabinetry and that's an instance of what I refer to as that modern liver, colored marble from roughly the year 2000. It was an original sink back there, but it's very soild and it's already gone- we've demoed it, but it was non-functional. So the other issue was opening up the butler's pantry since there's no Butler to the kitchen. To add to that, this is a young working family with you.

We did most of this walk walk through and before they've done a lot of demolition, certainly in the front rooms where most of the trim is that that's all intact and, as we said earlier, the the front facade is is not being altered much at all and the of course, the new addition they will they've had to demolish some of the rear wall, but it looks like they needed to to to stabilize the construction there.

This nomination was submitted by the Friends of the Gaston livery stable and staff recently received a letter from the State Historic Preservation Office, advising that this nomination had been received and our zoning ordinance states that you as the board have the right to conduct first review and evaluation of these nominations.

So you have the opportunity to if you so will recommend listening to the State Board and you may advise staff to draft a letter to that effect. If you desire mr.
