A
Hi
and
welcome
to
this
episode
of
animals
and
ames,
my
name
is
ron
edwards,
I'm
the
animal
control
supervisor
here
for
the
ames
animal
shelter
and
animal
control
division.
Today
we
have
just
a
few
pets
to
show
you
but
keep
in
mind.
There's
lots
more
here
in
the
shelter
to
come.
Look
at
and
consider
for
adoption.
A
A
A
It's
a
non-profit
organization
that
teaches
you
and
provides
information
about
pets
and
rabbits,
especially
so
again.
It's
not
a
pet
for
everybody,
but
rolex
seems
to
be
pretty
gentle
didn't
really
like
coming
out
of
his
cage
very
much,
but
they
can
be
great
pets.
They
can
be
litter
box
trained.
So
just
like
your
cat
they'll
actually
go
in
the
litter
box
and
we
really
want
the
rabbits
to
be
indoors.
It's
not
safe
for
them
to
be
outdoors,
especially
here
in
iowa
winters
and
iowa
summers.
A
It's
really
just
too
warm
we're
going
to
talk
about
the
iowa
summers
and
the
heat
with
pets
coming
up
after
the
end
of
the
showing
the
animals
today.
But
heat
really
is
difficult
on
these
bunnies,
so
we
like
them
to
be
house
rabbits
and
be
indoors
and
again
there's
lots
of
information
at
rabbit.org
about
having
a
pet
rabbit
so
come
on
down
to
the
ames
animal
shelter.
Rolex
is
available
for
adoption
and
we'd
love
to
introduce
them
to
you
and
your
family.
A
And
next
we
have
aristotle,
aristotle
is
a
purebred,
probably
just
under
a
year
old
male
yorkie.
Yorkshire
terrier
is
the
full
name,
but
often
people
will
call
them
yorkies
he's
very
young
got
a
lot
of
energy
wants
to
run
and
play,
as
as
all
young
dogs
do
came
in
as
a
stray,
no
identification.
No
microchip,
no
identifying.
A
I
know
this
no
identification
or
anything
for
us
to
return
aristotle
back
to
his
home,
so
he
has
been
here
with
us,
the
minimum
holding
time
so
he's
up
for
adoption
and
again
just
under
a
year
old.
He
is
male
needs
to
be
neutered,
so
he
will
be
neutered
before
he
goes
to
his
new
home,
hopefully
his
forever
home
in
a
home
that
will
put
some
identification
on
him
and
even
get
a
microchip
for
him.
So
he's
got
some
permanent
identification.
A
A
A
So
we
want
to
make
sure
that
they
go
into
a
home
together.
So
come
on
down
and
take
a
look
at
this
bonded
pair.
It
is
a
two
for
one
adoption,
which
means
you
only
have
to
pay
for
one
adoption
fee
and
you
get
both
cats
so
come
on
down
to
the
shelter
and
take
a
look
at
as
full
and
foulful.
This
one
is
full.
A
And
now
we
have
the
second
of
the
two
brothers.
This
is
fool:
you'll
notice,
that
thoughtful
has
the
white
coloring
on
him
and
he's
a
little
rambunctious
here,
unlike
his
brother,
again
they're
a
two-for-one
adoption,
so
you
only
pay
one
adoption
fee
and
again
these
cats
are
very
bonded
together,
so
we
want
to
make
sure
that
they
go
home
together.
Neutered
males
about
one
year
old
are
ready
to
go
to
a
home,
and
we
want
to
make
sure
that
when
they
get
to
that
new
home
that
we
get
some
identification
on
them
microchip.
A
So
that
way,
if
there's
ever,
if
they're
ever
lost,
they'd
be
able
to
get
back
home
soon,
so
we're
going
to
go
ahead
and
let
falfel
go
ahead
and
relax
here
in
the
room,
as
we
finish
out,
this
segment
he's
more
excited
about.
What's
going
on
in
the
room
than
being
here
on
tv,
so
again,
they're
both
bonded
brothers
are
ready
to
find
a
new
home
together.
So
come
on
down
to
the
ames
animal
shelter
and
take
a
look
at
those
two.
We
also
have
a
few
other
bonded
pairs
that
go
home
together.
A
Two
black
cats,
mowgli
and
buguera,
both
both
very
friendly
cats,
but
need
to
be
adopted
together
and
the
same
situation
applies.
We
pay
for
the
first
adoption
and
the
new
adopters
pay
for
just
one
adoption
on
those
two
so
come
on
down
and
take
a
look
at
the
pair
of
cats
that
we
have
available
for
adoption
and
all
the
other
animals
here
at
the
ames
animal
shelter.
A
I
just
can't
warn
you
enough
how
important
it
is
and
how
critical
it
is
that
you
keep
your
pets
indoors
and
keep
your
pets
at
home.
We've
already
responded
to
several
calls
when
the
weather
heated
up
just
a
little
bit
of
people
leaving
their
pets
in
vehicles,
it's
so
important
to
leave
them
at
home,
even
if
you
think
you're
not
going
to
stop
somewhere.
Sometimes
we
have
things
that
we
all.
We
remember.
We
got
to
pick
up
at
the
store
or
little
errands
that
we
need
to
run
it's
just
safer
to
keep
them
at
home.
A
I
know
they
like
to
go
places
in
the
vehicle
with
you,
but
it's
just
not
safe,
even
if
you
crack
the
windows
and
you
don't
think
that
it's
that
warm
the
temperatures
in
the
car
rise
rapidly
and
animals
can
suffer
severe
damage
and
even
worse.
So
please
keep
them
at
home,
it's
much
safer
for
them,
and
then
we
won't
have
to
respond
to
so
many
calls
during
the
summer
months
in
the
warmer
weather
that
we're
going
to
be
having
not
too
far
from
now.
So
just
keep
that
in
mind.
