A
Hello
and
thank
you
for
tuning
in
to
this
episode
of
animals
and
Ames
on
today's
show,
we're
going
to
show
you
four
cats
that
we
have
available
for
adoption
keep
in
mind.
This
is
just
a
small
sampling
of
the
cats
that
we
have
available
here
at
the
Ames
Animal
Shelter,
our
last
dog,
we're
very
happy
to
say,
was
adopted
on
Saturday,
so
we
don't
have
any
dogs
for
adoption
right
now,
but
that
could
change
at
the
end
of
the
taping
of
today's
show.
Also,
our
last
rabbit
was
adopted
last
week
too.
A
So
right
now
we
just
have
some
really
precious
cats
in
the
building
that
need
to
find
their
forever
home
and
the
first
one
here
is
very,
very
special
kitty
to
us.
This
is
O'malley.
O'malley
came
to
the
shelter
as
a
stray
on
March
31st
and
unfortunately
had
a
pretty
significant
urinary
infection
or
issues
going
on
in
the
urinary
tract.
So
we
immediately
took
him
to
our
friends
at
the
Somerset
vet
hospital
for
workup
and
saw
that
there
was
quite
a
bit
of
blood
in
the
urine.
A
An
O'malley
was
also
in
quite
a
bit
of
pain,
so
we
needed
to
get
him
some
immediate
pain,
medication
and
get
some
antibiotics
on
board
to
try
to
solve
the
problem.
So
again
he
came
a
little
camera-shy.
Today
he
came
in
to
us
as
a
stray.
We
probably
believe
that
he
was
having
some
problems
in
the
house
and
maybe
wasn't
using
his
litter
box
and
that's
probably
because
he
was
in
so
much
pain,
so
unfortunately
he
was
probably
put
outside
and
the
owners
never
came
for
him
and
he's
just
a
beautiful
flame
point:
Siamese
cat.
A
O'malley
is
actually
going
to
ivr
see
today,
which
is
a
vet
specialty
operation
in
Des
Moines
we're
going
to
take
him
down
there,
there's
the
possibility
that
unfortunately,
O'malley
might
have
a
bladder
tumor
and
just
want
to
say
a
special
thanks
out
there
to
all
the
people
who
donate
you.
We
didn't
get
such
wonderful
donations
from
the
community
and
from
our
partners.
We
wouldn't
be
able
to
do
this
for
O'malley
and
O'malley
is
just
such
a
deserving
cat.
He
deserves
to
have
the
best
medical
care
he
deserves
to
be
healthy
and
pain-free.
A
I
can't
even
imagine
what
he
was
going
through
when
he
first
got
here
at
the
shelter
but
a
very
sweet
cat.
Just
a
beautiful
cat
again
he's
just
a
little
shy,
but
normally
he's
very
talkative
and
and
wants
to
be
around
people
and
loves
the
attention
and
the
petting,
and
now
he
just
can't
wait
to
get
back
to
his
his
room.
So
again,
this
is
O'malley.
A
We
are
estimating
that
he
is
about
four
years
old
I
think
we
said
between
four
and
five,
but
again
he's
still
on
some
pain,
medication
and
he's
going
up
today
to
see
a
specialist
and
we're
hoping
that
we're
going
to
get
some
good
news
from
that.
But
we'll
keep
you
updated
on
future
episodes
of
animals
and
aims
for
this
is
O'malley
and
he
will
be
available
for
adoption
shortly.
A
A
In
our
next
guest
today
is
Chloe.
Chloe
actually
came
to
us
in
a
very
sad
situation.
Her
mom
was
a
former
volunteer
here
at
the
shelter
and
she
passed
away
recently.
So
Chloe
is
now
without
a
mom
and
without
a
home
she
was
definitely
a
loved
kitty.
We
have
extensive
vet
records,
all
good,
just
annual
exam
paperwork
and
vaccinations
and
Chloe.
A
Even
though
she's
13
years
old,
the
vet
said
she
is
in
excellent
health,
she's,
a
very
sweet
cat
and
keep
in
mind
you
know:
cats
can
live
until
they're,
20
years
old,
so
13
years
old.
She
could
have
quite
a
few
years
left
with
her
and
again
her.
Her
mom
was
a
former
volunteer
here
at
the
shelter
and
in
memory
of
Terry
we'd
love
to
find
Chloe
the
best
home
possible.
We
know
that
Terry
would
want
that
and
she
is
just
such
a
sweet
cat.
You
can
see
her.
A
She
is
just
loving
this
attention,
not
sure
she's,
showing
you
the
best
side
of
her
but
she's.
Just
loving
this
attention
and
just
a
real
sweet
cat
she's,
a
long-haired,
Tori
and
you'll
see
are
one
of
the
next
cats
we're
going
to
show
you
it's
so
important
with
these
long-haired
cats
that
they
get
daily
brushing
and
she
just
really
enjoys
the
brushing,
as
you
can
see,
she's
just
loving
the
petting
here.
A
So
it's
very
important
to
make
sure
that
their
fur
is
not
matting
up
on
them
and
you'll
see
a
case
here
where
we
had
a
cat
that
came
in
and
had
severe
mats,
and
we
had
to
shave
her
down.
I'm.
Sorry
him
down
Jacob
Chloe's
having
a
really
good
time
here.
You
could
tell
she's
not
stressed
at
all,
but
it's
just
very
important
that
they're
given
constant
brushing
to
keep
formatting
up,
because
that
is
a
painful
condition
for
them
and
just
not
fair
to
them.
So
these
beautiful
long,
haired
cats
just
need
lots
of
attention.
A
A
lot
more
than
other
cats
would
like
O'malley
can
definitely
get
them
brushing
and
it
helps
to
remove
some
of
the
old
hair,
but
he
doesn't
need
it
every
single
day,
like
these
long-haired
cats
do
so
again.
This
is
Chloe.
I'm
very
sweet
kitty,
13
years
old.
Again
we
have
a
lot
of
vet
records,
she's
very
healthy
I'm,
not
on
any
kind
of
medication.
She
uses
her
litter
box
appropriately
and
just
a
real
sweet
love
here.
A
A
In
our
next
special
kitty
here
today
is
Jacob.
Yeah
you're,
probably
wondering
why
Jacob
looks
like
this
as
I
mentioned
with
Chloe.
It
is
so
extremely
important
that
these
long-haired
cats
get
daily
brushing
at
least
every
other
day.
If
it
can't
be
every
day.
There's
absolutely
nothing
wrong
with
the
skin
here.
A
Jacob
just
is
a
little
bit
bald
I
know
how
you
feel
Jacob,
and
he
just
he
had
to
be
shaved
down
because
he
had
such
severe
mats
on
him
when
he
came
in
here,
his
skin
was
pulled
so
tight
and
that
can
cause
all
kinds
of
skin
infections
and
problems
for
cats.
So
fortunately
he
got
here
to
us.
He
came
in
as
a
stray
and
we
were
able
to
shave
him
down.
A
A
There's
one
just
absolutely
huge
mat
in
here:
that's
at
the
top
of
the
bag,
where
it
was
up
here
on
the
top
of
his
skin
here,
and
we
had
to
shave
that
down
all
the
way
down
to
his
skin
so
again,
very
uncomfortable
for
Jacob
and
just
you
know,
could
could
cause
a
lot
of
problems
down
the
road.
So
his
hair
is
going
to
grow
back
completely.
It
won't
be
any
different
than
what
it
was
before.
A
He
has
his
little
lion
cut
tail
and
his
little
lion
cut
here
on
his
head,
so
his
hair
will
grow
back
perfectly,
find
it's
just
a
matter
of
making
sure
that
whoever
adopts
Jacob
as
they
continue
to
brush
him
every
day,
because
we
don't
want
those
mats
to
come
back
and
him
to
be
in
the
pain
that
he
was
in
when
he
came
here
to
us.
So
he
may
look
a
little
different
and
odd.
Now
he
kind
of
has
some
patches
like
a
cow,
but
Jacob
is
a
very
sweet
kitty.
A
You
can
see
he's
just
loving
this
attention
and
rubbing
in
my
hand,
so
he
just
needs
a
home.
That's
going
to
give
him
all
the
attention
that
he
deserves,
make
sure
that
he
gets
the
grooming
that
he
deserves
and
all
the
TLC
that
he
also
desires.
So
this
is
Jacob.
He
is
available
here
for
adoption
at
the
Ames
Animal
Shelter
come
on
down
and
meet
Jacob.
A
A
They
really
want
to
see
you
had
a
pretty
significant
Deborah
respiratory
infection,
so
she
has
been
under
our
care
I'm,
getting
several
rounds
of
antibiotics
and
all
the
treatment
that
she
deserves
and
she's
pretty
much
on
full
recovery
at
this
point,
she's
still
on
some
medication,
but
she
is
available
for
adoption
and
we'd
like
her
new
family
to
be
somewhat
experienced
and
maybe
giving
medication
it's
a
liquid
that
she
gets,
but
she
is
just
you
can
just
see
here.
She
is
perfectly
happy
just
laying
in
your
arms
don't
eat
the
microphone.
A
Maybe
she
was
going
to
say
something
to
us
anything
she's,
not
much
of
a
talker,
but
definitely
just
a
love
of
a
cat.
We
have
the
cameras
in
here
the
lights
and
she
couldn't
be
any
more
relaxed.
The
others
were
like.
Okay.
Get
me
out
of
here.
I
want
to
go
play
and
with
her
she
just
wants
to
be
petted
and
just
loved,
so
Trista
came
in
as
a
stray
again.
Nobody
came
forward
to
claim
her,
so
she
is
available
for
adoption
and
she
is
absolutely
one
of
the
staff
favorites.
A
You
know
every
one
of
the
animals
that
come
in
here
we
have
the
staff
discussion
almost
on
a
daily
basis.
I
wish
I
could
take
them
home
with
me,
but
usually
we
have
several
at
home
and
we
don't
need
any
more,
but
she
is
just
one
of
those
that
is
just
such
a
sweet
cat
that
everybody
is
just
in
love
with
her
and
we
really
want
to
make
sure
that
we
find
the
absolute
best
home
possible
for
her.
A
We
want
that
for
all
the
animals
and
Trista
is
definitely
one
of
those
special
ones
that
just
tugs
on
our
heartstrings
and
is
just
such
a
beautiful,
friendly
cat.
It's
kind
of
a
dilute
Tori
here
kind
of
blue
longer
than
just
the
regular
short-haired
cat.
So
almost
a
medium
here
at
cat
and
of
course
we
just
love
that
attention
and
that
affection
and
would
love
to
be
sitting
there
on
the
couch
watching
your
favorite
TV
show.
A
A
Want
to
thank
you
for
tuning
in
and
watching
this
episode.
Those
are
just
again
four
of
the
great
cats
that
we
have
here
available
for
adoption.
I
think
we
have
the
best
cats
for
adoption
around.
But
if
you
can't
come
to
our
shelter,
we
always
encourage
people
to
go
to
any
shelter.
The
story.
County
Shelter
has
lots
of
amazing
animals,
boon
air,
a
humane
society,
Marshalltown
Animal,
Rescue
League
and
the
Animal
Rescue
League
of
Iowa,
all
very
wonderful
agencies
that
just
do
great
work
and
try
to
help
homeless
animals.
A
So
again,
if
you
can
adopt
from
the
Ames
Animal
Shelter,
please
visit
some
of
the
other
shelters.
We
have
a
list
of
all
the
shelter's
in
our
front
office
and
they're
happily
provide
that
to
people,
because
we
want
to
encourage
shelter.
Adoptions
I
also
want
to
say
a
special
thanks
to
our
friends
at
high
V
on
the
next
episode.
A
I'll
be
able
to
give
you
some
numbers,
but
we
just
had
our
fifth
annual
wine
and
dine
event,
which
is
a
fundraiser
for
the
shelter
and
that
money
helps
us
to
help
all
the
animals
and
some
of
those
you've
seen
on.
So
when
we
take
them
to
paws
perfection
and
be
able
to
take
care
of
these
animals,
it
takes
donation
money,
and
so
we
really
thank
everybody
for
their
support
IV.
For
that
great
event,
we
also
have
our
shelter
shindig
coming
up
with
cnk,
which
is
a
benefit
for
the
Ames
Animal
Shelter.
A
In
the
Story
County
shelter.
You
can
find
more
information
on
our
Facebook
page,
which
is
facebook.com
animal
aimes,
animal
shelter,
information
on
there
about
that
special
event
so
come
down
there
check
it
out,
check
out
our
Facebook
page
and
our
website,
which
is
here
on
your
screen,
which
is
Ames,
animal
shelter,
org
and
lots
of
information.
You
can
find
out
about
the
animals
that
we
have
here
available
for
adoption
and
just
things
that's
happening
at
the
Ames
Animal
Shelter.
So
thanks
again
for
watching.
