A
Oh
come
on
we're
waiting,
David
Amelia
here.
A
All
right
I'm
going
to
go
ahead
and
call
the
meeting
of
swearing-in
ceremony
of
the
Bloomington
City
Council
to
order,
and
at
this
point
we're
not
really
doing
things
like
calling
of
the
roll,
because
we
have
to
have
people
take
their
oath
of
office
before
they
begin
to
officially
serve
on
your
agenda.
There
are
some
things
that
say
swearing-in
ceremony
and
that
I
will
have
some
introductory
remarks.
I'm
going
to
just
make
a
few
remarks
at
the
end
once
everyone
is,
everyone
is
seated
in
our
new
council
is
up
here.
Okay,
so
I!
A
So
if
you
want
them
with
you
as
you're
being
sworn
in,
please
come
and
have
them
stand
right
here
in
front
of
the
diet,
bias
and
grant
asked
Margaret
to
come
forward
and
I
think
my
youngest
son
had
to
work
there
to
have
his
own
life
and
so
and
my
other
one
had
their
to
have
his
own
life
and
he's
in
North
Carolina.
But
anyway.
Thank
you.

Say
I
say
to
name
please:
I
ike
ember
Libre
haven't
been
elected
to
the
office
of
Alderman
Ward
9,
having
been
elected
to
the
office
of
Alderman
Ward
9
in
the
city
of
Bloomington
in
the
city
of
Bloomington,
at
County,
a
McLean,
a
Porsche
in
the
county
of
McLean
aforesaid.
Do
some
ly
swear
or
affirm
to
solemnly
swear
or
affirm
that
I
will
faithfully
discharge.
A
A
They
do
want
to
make
a
few
observations.
I
promise,
I
won't
speak
very
long,
I'm
sure
my
poll
ratings
would
go
down
if
I
did
but
I'm
very,
very
proud
that
we
have
a
wonderful
City,
Council
great
team
and
all
the
woman
Schmidt
said
wow
I
wish.
All
of
our
meetings
would
be
this
happy
and
you
ain't
seen
nothing
yet
you
can't.
We
now
have
a
group
of
people
who
are
ready
to
move
forward
who
are
excited
to
move
to
to
really
take
Bloomington
to
the
next
level,
and
it's
not
just
the
council.
A
It's
us
we're
doing
it
and
just
like
anything,
perhaps
almost
local
governments,
you
pay
fees
and
taxes,
and
you
get
certain
services.
There
are
no
free
lunches
and
sometimes
what
we're
trying
to
also
do.
Of
course,
aggressively
is
pave
our
streets
streets,
don't
pave
themselves,
they've
been
neglected
for
a
long
time,
but
we
are
making
progress
on
that
and
thanks
to
our
staff,
we're
having
capital
improvement
plans
moving
forward,
so
we're
going
to
be
able
to
make
better
decisions.
More
intelligent
decisions
on
your
behalf
on
our
behalf
as
we
go
forward.
A
In
addition
terms
of
growing
a
local
economy,
we've
had
certain
success,
obviously
in
the
some
underperforming
or
nearly
abandoned
strip
malls
like
high
V
and
Empire
Crossing.
Now
we've
had
struggling.
You
know
the
struggling
cinema
industry.
We've
helped
Ovation
reinvent
themselves,
so
that
they're
now
thriving
very
often
they
they
sell
out
in
their
tickets
and
monoid.
But
I'm
part
of
he's
also
happy
that
they're
that
busy
and
we're
also
working,
of
course,
with
downtown
the
former
Electrolux
site.
A
There
are
many
areas
of
real
excitement
now
in
our
city,
and
all
of
us
are
working
together
to
make
sure
that
we
take
Bloomington
to
the
next
level
and
I
look
forward
to
working
not
only
with
the
council
but
with
each
and
every
one
of
you
as
we
move
forward,
because
Bloomington
is
rapidly
becoming
a
model
for
other
cities
to
follow
and
I.
Thank
you
for
your
confidence
and
for
the
next
four
years.
We're
going
to
do
just
that.
Thank
you
and
we're
adjourned.
