Remote-worker and entrepreneur Ron Bronson could work from anywhere in the country, yet he chooses to live and work right here in Bloomington. Bronson says his decision to relocate to Bloomington had everything to do with the hospitality and camaraderie he found at Cowork, an organization that supplies a shared workplace to a diverse group of small business owners, contractors and remote workers. The close-knit, collaborative spirit Cowork has been nurturing in our community will be brought to the next level this fall when all 100+ members transition to their new space at The Mill, a business incubator, co-working space and centerpiece of the City of Bloomington’s Trades District.

A lot of the institutions that existed when my parents were coming up, my grandparents were coming up no longer exist. It makes you want to figure out okay. How can I laser forge my own path because and find support and community around that, because the Jetta they were taught the golden watches and got to be there for me in 30 years.

Tech, strategist entreprenuer woke up remote worker, so last year I started Indiana design week Indiana design week, which is now Indianapolis design. We started in Bullington last year. Actually the thought was to create an event that was decentralized every city in the state and he's. How knows they could do their own thing during that week and the idea of course we hopefully the people would go to other cities or up and find you know find out folks are doing there, but also for them to share and amplify that over a whole week.

A is sort of creates is to create this unifying message around the country of like oh, hey, we're the cool things are happening in Indiana in general, but also for those communities to recognize what was happening in their own towns. The mill is something I've talked about for a long time as a community and eating as centerpiece or some kind of sort of sort of hub point to bring people who don't live here. Who don't come to Indiana?

We didn't go to IU we're not from this region to consider it as a place that they might want to live. Work employ a co-working space member in Brooklyn Enver, st. Louis Calgary Canada, Louisville Indianapolis through the co-working some scene. We learn about people who are doing interesting work all over the state, I think.

What's beautiful about Bullington comes you talk about like the Avengers entrepreneurship in general, taking outside attacks the new media entrepreneur who are opening coffee shops, folks area friend, who opened a skate bro friend who opened a boutique that sells clothes and the folks we're all working together in the same space as having the same types of conversations, sharing ideas, sharing contacts inspiring and engaging and encouraging each other, and even, if you're, not working on something at that moment, having an environment, a space where those the people who are doing things it's hard to not find that infectious, but also it's just a really cool way to you know, interact with people who motivate you to want to say: oh well, what can I create?

What can I do much like building a sports stadium in some sense right when you say you can Bullitt become well? The hope here is is that by building something like this, that folks will will Google end up on their radar and they'll come and they'll stay and they'll lend their talents and their energy, and who knows, what's next.
