From YouTube: VEAP July Food Campaign
Description
School's out for the summer, which means kids no longer have access to school breakfast and lunches. VEAP's food pantry has been heavily used this summer and they need your help to restock its shelves!
A
Volunteers
enlisted
to
assist
people
or
reap
has
been
serving
Bloomington
and
the
surrounding
suburbs
for
more
than
35
years
throughout
the
years
they've
collected
and
distributed
Christmas
gifts
to
families
who
couldn't
otherwise
afford
anything.
Vybz
staff,
shop
for
and
deliver
groceries
to
the
elderly
and
disabled
and
one
service
heavily
relied
upon
is
the
food
pantry,
because.
B
Beach
serves
such
a
large
Geographic
population.
We
are
presently
the
largest
food
shelf
in
the
state
of
Minnesota.
We
are
serving
between
7,000
and
8,000
people
a
month
in
this
building
behind
me.
So
it's
a
lot
of
busy
volunteers,
helping
people
the
need
for
people
to
have
food
in
their
lives
is
obvious
for
the
nutrition,
for
the
energy.
But
food
is
the
last
thing
that
people
think
about
they
try
to
take
care
of
the
rent.
They
try
to
make
sure
the
car
is
repaired.
B
B
Doesn't
take
a
summer
vacation
what
happens
when
children
are
out
of
school?
They
are
no
longer
eligible,
or
at
can
access,
free
and
reduced
lunches
and
breakfasts
at
school,
and
that
means
their
parents
are
oftentimes
putting
on
at
least
ten
extra
meals
a
week
for
their
children.
In
addition
to
all
the
other
costs
in
the
summer,
with
extra
childcare,
extra
programs
for
their
children,
Freeman.
A
B
Is
open
your
heart
in
Minnesota,
it
allows
people
in
the
community
to
donate
dollars
and
food
to
local
food
shelves
that
will
reach
a
match
for
a
hundred
thousand
dollars
throughout
the
state
of
Minnesota.
It's
important
to
us
because
it
allows
us
to
even
get
more
out
of
your
donations,
especially
if
it's
dollars.
However,
food
is
so
important.
If
you
look
on
our
website,
you
can
find
what
the
most
needed
foods
are.
