A
A
Yes,
we're
going
to
talk
trash
today,
a
lot
of
what
we
are
going
to
talk
about
you've
heard
because
miss
evans,
the
metro
division
director
came
up
and
she
really
said
and
spoke
a
lot
of
exactly
what
we're
contending
with,
because
we're
both
looking
for
cdl
drivers,
but
in
our
in
this
update,
we're
going
to
talk
about
critical
vacancies
in
public
works,
specifically
integrated
ways.
Inmate
challenges
that
we
have
in
integrated
ways
our
current
contractor
and
the
weather
challenges
that
we
have
in
integrated
waste.
A
We
are
still
operating
with
five
vacant
positions
by
five
vacant
household
garbage
driving
positions
in
the
city.
We
have
no
backlog
right
now
for
household
garbage
or
recycling.
As
of
march,
the
30th
we
still
have
25
vacant
positions,
hire
train
and
retain
is
our
motto
in
integrated
waste.
We
need
to
hire
25
drivers,
we
need
to
train
those
drivers
and
those
drivers
are
going
to
be
trained
to
be
able
to
operate
everything
in
integrated
waste.
A
So
just
so
that
you
understand
the
vacancies
that
we
have.
We
have
70
designated
waste
equipment
operator
positions
in
integrated
ways
of
those
70s.
I
only
have
45
full-time
drivers.
I
have
10
positions
that
are
designated
for
integrated
waste,
part-time
positions.
I
have
nine
of
those
that
are
filled,
we're
looking
for
one
more.
A
So
waste
equipment
operators
are
very
important
people
in
that
they
have
a
hard
job.
We
ask
them
to
drive
these
trucks,
and
these
trucks
can
weigh
up
to
30
tons
when
they're
filled,
while
they
are
also
overseeing
two
inmates.
They're
handling
any
open
routes
that
we
send
them
on
and
handling
an
open
route
means
that
they've
done
their
route,
but
now
they've
got
to
go,
get
a
vacant
route
and
get
it
picked
up
as
well.
They
are
also
responsible
for
handling
our
backdoor
service.
A
Those
are
our
disabled
individuals
that
need
assistance,
bringing
their
cans
to
the
streets
so
that
they
can
be
empty.
They
have
to
get
out
of
the
truck,
stop
the
truck
get
the
can
empty.
The
can
and
put
it
back,
they're
also
the
initial
contact
for
our
residents
when
they
have
concerns
regarding
their
waste
collection,
and
they
we
are.
We
have
required
them
to
extend
their
work
week
from
40
hours
a
week
to
60
hours
a
week.
A
They
are
working
six
days
a
week,
and
that
is
a
lot
and
we're
asking
them
to
do
all
of
this
for
sixteen
dollars
and
four
cents
an
hour.
So
that
is
a
major
player
and
that's
something
that
metro
was
talking
about
as
well.
All
of
our
waste
equipment
operators
can
drive
rear
end
loaders.
They
can
drive
the
new,
automated
side
trucks
when
they
finally
get
here
as
well
as
to
grab
all
trucks.
A
A
A
Cdl
licensed
drivers
plus
a
lot
of
these
companies
are
offering
the
sign-on
bonuses
I'm
not
going
to
play
this
again.
Rosa
miss
evans
already
played
it.
It
was
shocking
enough
for
me
when
I
was
sitting
there
looking
at
it,
but
I'm
so
grateful
that
the
deputy
city
manager
sent
it
to
me.
So
we'll
just
skip
over
that
because
you've
already
seen
it
I
won't
skip.
I
guess
sorry,
okay,
all
right!
A
A
A
We've
got
new,
join
our
team
logos
that
you'll
start
seeing
walk
on
on
the
trucks
as
they're
going
throughout
the
community
on
our
recycling.
App
we've
got
a
new
button
on
there
that
says,
join
our
team,
we're
really
reaching
out
to
the
public,
so
we're
all
in
all
doing
a
very
big
social
media
push
but,
more
importantly,
we're
also
talking
to
people
word
of
mouth.
If
you
know
anybody,
if
you
need
somebody
that
just
needs,
some
training
send
them
to
us,
we'll
train
them.
A
We
have
an
in-house
driver's
training
instructor
who
is
licensed
by
the
state
of
georgia,
to
train
and
to
test
for
their
cdls.
The
the
challenge
in
that
is
you
can't
train
and
test.
You
can
do
one
or
the
other,
but
in
working
with
other
trainers
we
are
able
to
get
people
trained
and
tested.
So
if
someone
doesn't
have
that
license,
but
they
want
to
get
that
license,
we're
just
looking
for
you.
So
just
call
us.
A
We
are
also
working
with
hr
trying
to
get
a
temporary
agency
that
may
possibly
have
these
cdl
drivers
in
their
in
their
group
that
could
possibly
come
and
work
with
us.
We're
definitely
looking
for
that
as
well.
This
is
just
a
picture
of
the
new
logo
that
will
be
going
on
our
truck
so
you'll
seen
it
you'll
see
it
going
through
the
town
saying
just
join
our
team.
A
I
believe,
and
the
other
one
would
be
on
jr
allen
parkway,
but
I
chose
this
one
to
show,
because
if
you
notice,
everybody
on
that
team
is
a
female
females
are
driving
trucks.
So
if
you're
a
female
and
you're
tired
of
being
on
the
road
and
I'm
talking
to
the
public
at
this
point
come
see
us
we've
got
a
space
for
you.
We
would
love
to
have
you
on
our
team,
so
bulk
waste
collection,
I
think,
has
been
our
thorn.
A
A
I
do
still
feel
that
we
can
improve
our
services.
Ultimately,
if
we
go
to
a
call-in
service,
that's
just
something!
I'm
putting
out
there
we'll
come
back
to
you
later
and
ask
for
permission
to
do
that,
and
if
we
do
go
to
a
call
and
service,
it
will
not
change
our
tree
for
fee
process
and
our
program
in
that
so
bulk
operators.
As
I
stated
before,
those
are
your
grab
all
operators.
A
They
are
working
six
days
a
week,
four
of
the
days
out
of
the
week,
they're
driving
garbage
trucks,
they're
driving
household
garbage
trucks,
to
get
the
waste
off
the
ground,
which
means
I
have
no
one
to
operate.
A
grab
ball
monday
through
friday,
they're
working
on
wednesdays,
which
is
their
off
day
running,
grab
balls
and
they're
working
on
saturdays,
running
ground,
balls,
but
monday,
tuesday,
thursdays
and.
