clean
up
this
spring
and
want
to
get
rid
of
some
household
items
or
yard
debris
at
no
cost.
The
Department
of
Public
Works
has
some
good
news
for
you
again
this
year.
The
City
of
Des
Moines
is
sponsoring
scrub.
Events.
Scrub
stands
for
spring
cleaning
up
to
remove
urban
blight.
You
can
dispose
of
most
household
items
and
yard
debris
at
no
cost
acceptable.
Scrub
items
include
trash
and
bulk
items.
A
General
household
trash,
bulk
items
like
chairs
and
dressers
windows,
doors
and
rugs
yard
debris
such
as
leaves
and
branches
appliances,
air
conditioners,
refrigerators,
freezers,
microwaves,
dehumidifiers,
scrub
events
take
place
on
the
third
Saturday
of
each
month
through
November
at
transfer
stations
and
at
the
compost
center.
Also,
five
special
mega
scrubs
have
been
scheduled
for
your
convenience
at
Hoover
High
School,
which
is
located
at
48th
and
Aurora
Avenue
on
april
twentieth.
