here,
and
things
are
having
the
Parks
and
Recreation
Department.
My
name
is
Jen
Fletcher
and
I
am
here
to
tell
you
all
about
the
things
we
have
going
on
in
April,
there's
still
time
to
sign
up
for
this
year's
mirrors
annual
ride
saturday
April
twentieth,
starting
at
ten
a.m.
this
year
with
every
registration
participants
will
not
only
receive
the
annual
ride
t-shirt,
but
a
ten
dollar
gift
card
to
zombie,
burger
and
drink
lab.
This
card
is
good
anytime,
not
just
the
day
of
the
event.

These
are
twenty
five
dollars
for
adults,
five
dollars
for
children,
ages,
five
through
18
and
children.
Four
and
under
are
free.
All
proceeds
from
the
mayor's
annual
ride
will
go
towards
supporting
and
maintaining
Des
Moines
trails.
This
event
has
raised
over
a
hundred
thousand
dollars
for
improvements
to
Des
Moines
trails.
Please

well
as
community
activities
and
programs.

can
receive

programs,
including
swim
lessons,
swim,
passes,
tennis,
lessons,
open
air
shelter,
Reynolds
bike
and
boat,
rentals
sports
registration
and
much
more.

Poetry
Month
come
experience,
parks
in
three
lines
at
grayslake,
Park,
View
writings,
created
by
local
professors
and
students.

During
spring
migration,
wednesdays
through
april,
10th
emphasis
will
be
placed
on
water
birds
such
as
ducks
geese,
loons,
pelicans,
herons
and
much
more,
and
the
public
will
meet
in
the
beach
parking
lot
on
the
north
side
of
grayslake,
from
April
seventeenth
through
the
end
of
May,
visitors
will
meet
in
the
southeast
parking
lot
for
reviewing
of
songbirds
such
as
Warblers
brushes,
sparrows
and
much
more
binoculars
are
encouraged,
so
a
few
extra
pairs
will
be
provided.
If
you
forget
yours,
the
spring
program
is
free
and
open
to
all
ages.

you
volunteer
as
a
dog
park
ambassador
for
over
40
hours
a
year?
You
can
get
your
annual
permit
for
free
or,
if
you
sign
up
to
help
out
the
mayor's
ride,
you
can
get
your
registration

free.

the
opportunities
available
throughout
the
Parks
and
Recreation
Department.
