means
it's
time
for
the
des
moines
public
library's
summer
reading
challenges,
hi
I'm,
Jan,
Kaiser
marketing

the

moines
public
library
here

tell
you
all
about
what's
happening
at
the
library
this
month
summer.
Reading
challenges
are
some
of
the
most
fun
and
exciting
programs
will
have
all
year
and
guess
what
we
are
offering
separate
challenges
for
adults,
teens
and
kids
that
will
all
run
from
June
tenth
to
july.

read

and
attend
events
of
the

Reading
challenge
at
the
East
Side
library
this
year
simply
read
the
required
number
of
books
from
your
list
drop
off
your
completed
form
at
the
library
and
you'll
be
entered
into
a
drawing
for
prizes.
Just
like
the
challenges
for
kids
and
teens,
the
adult
challenge
will
run
from
June
tenth
to
july.

avid
series
will
continue
this
month
with
a
visit
by
author
Mary
Jane
Clark
she'll,
stop
by
the
central
library
on
Monday
June,
seventeenth
at
seven
p.m.
to
discuss
her
wedding
cake,
mystery
series.
It
features
a
wedding
cake
designer
who
is
swept
into
a
world
of
mystery
and
murder.
So
don't
miss
this
wonderful
free
program.
The
south
side
library
is
starting
an
adult
writers
workshop
this
summer.
If
you're
working
on
poems
short
stories,
a
novel
or
any
other
kind
of
project,
stop
in
between
1
and
3
p.m.

friday,

14,
the
writers
workshop
will
meet
on
the
second
friday
of
the
month
from
june
through
September,
providing
a
great
forum
for
feedback
and
sharing
your
thoughts
on
writing
then
don't
miss
the
artsy
smart,

sale
at
the
central
library
from
jun
27
through
june

we've
been
cleaning
out
our
collection
to
make
room
for
new
books
and
decided
to
offer
the
special
sale
during
the
Des
Moines
Arts
Festival.
There
will
be
all
kinds
of
topics
like
photography,
fashion,
art
and
much
more.

need

help
installing
the
library's
apps
for
e-books,
downloadable,
audiobooks
and

magazines?
The
library
offers
free
classes
on
this
topic
at
several
different
library
locations?
The
apps
can
be
used
on
mobile
devices
such
as
smartphones
tablets
and
e-readers,
so
visit

or
for
dates
and
times
for
our
many
free
advice
for
your
device
classes.

you
know
that
the
Franklin
Avenue
library
has
a
community
garden?
The
children's
gardening
club
will
meet
every
Wednesday
at
ten-fifteen
a.m.
this
summer
to
work
in
the
garden
and
learn
all
about
planting
and
other
related
activities.
Please
wear
old
clothes
and
be
prepared
to
dig
into
the
dirt.
Pre-Registration
is
required
for
this
program.

animals
from
the
blank
Park
Zoo
will
be
paying
a
visit
to
the
Franklin
Avenue
library
on
Monday
june
twenty-fourth
at
1030am
bring
the
whole
family
and
learn
all
about
animals
that
live
underground
and
see
these
animals
up
close
and
speaking
of
the
Franklin
Avenue
library.
Did

hear
that
it
was
recently
awarded
leed
platinum
status,
which
means
is
one
of
the
most
environmentally
friendly
buildings
in
Iowa.

you
