Madam
chair,
have
we
ever
received
information
about
the
historical
practice
in
Evanston
in
all
my
years?
I.
Don't
ever
remember
the
clerk's
office
having
people
not
hired
by
human
resources,
department
I,
don't.
D
Madam
chair
members
of
committee
grant
for
our
corporation
counsel
with
respect
to
that.
There
is
nothing
in
the
law
departments,
files
that
speaks
to
what
the
hiring
practices
or
processes
or
procedures
in
the
clerk's
office
has
been
over
the
past
decades
and
in
terms
of
trying
to
find
out
what
the
past
practice
is,
we
weren't
able
to
find
anything
for
many
other
sources.
I
think
that,
in
response
to
some
of
the
questions
that
were
articulated
on
past
practices,
the
city
manager
and
I
were
sort
of
coming
into
this
issue
from
2008
onwards.
C
Okay,
alderman
raining
well
I
mean
we
know
that
there
are
several
former
City
Clerk's
who
are
available
to
talk
to
us.
Have
we
talked
to
any
of
them?
We.
C
D
D
Is
no
specific
effect
per
se
with
respect
to
the
dissolution
documents
that
were
approved
by
the
now-defunct
aboard
in
the
current
council,
there
was
a
pretty
much
hand-in-glove,
seamless
transition
of
all
duties.
The
only
issue
that
we've
discussed
in
Prior
memorandums
furnish
to
the
committee
was
that
under
the
township
code,
the
township
code
specifically
laid
out
appointments
of
deputy
clerks
and
reposed
it
with
the
town
clerk.
D
So
we've
been
streaming
that
may
I
think
in
in
our
analysis
of
this
issue,
I
think
that
that
might
have
informed
what
has
been
going
on
recently
in
the
City
Clerk's
office.
It's
not
dispositive,
but
it's
something
that
may
have
just
you
know:
Ben
Ben,
a
germination
idea,
that's
that's
sort
of
pollinated,
the
rest
of
the
discussion
and
the
rest
of
the
process,
so
that
that
issues
essentially
wound
up
with
the
wind
up
the
distal
and
dissolution
of
the
township.
All.
A
A
B
Good
evening,
mayor
chairman,
win
and
members
of
the
Rules
Committee
ildiko
SOS
assistant
to
the
city
manager
in
your
packets,
a
a
memo
that
just
discusses
briefly
your
options
or
two
potential
options
for
your
commute
to
the
throughout
the
fourth
of
July
parade
and
the
fourth
of
July
parade
Association
reached
out
to
us,
and
you
should
either
have
received
a
letter
or
will
be
receiving
a
letter
in
the
mail
regarding
this
information.
But
we
are
going
to
be
the
city.
B
Manager's
office
is
going
to
be
coordinating
the
communication
with
the
Association
to
make
sure
we
have
you
placed
in
a
particular
spot
in
the
parade
and
have
transportation
available
for
you.
So
there's
some
information
in
the
in
the
memo
that
just
kind
of
discusses.
What
are
the
two
options
that
we
could
utilize
this
year
and
that
is
ultimately
up
to
you
guys
how
you
want
to
how
you
want
to
be
in
the
parade.
So
all.
C
C
Some
people
don't
want,
can't
walk
or
don't
walk
so,
but
the
primary
issue
that
I
have-
and
what
would
keep
me
from
participating
this
year,
is
having
to
stand
in
the
location
where
we
congregate
for
two
hours,
an
hour
and
a
half
before
stepping
off
it's
80
to
90
to
100
degrees.
It
is,
it
is
just
wrong
to
have
people
do
that.
I
know
the
mayor,
sometimes
steps
off
first
right
because
you
go
to
the
reviewing
stand:
man,
Tamara,
no
I,.
C
Own
I
think
we're
supposed
to
congregate
was
supposed
to
stage
in
our
location,
will
get
numbers
and
like
you're
32.
So
if
the
eighth
ward
alderman
is
32,
that
can
mean
two
hour
wait
before
setting
off
and
so
you're
someplace
down
central
street
and
that
don't
just
I
don't
know
that
gets
a
little
old
after
a
while
so
and
I.
G
Give
venture
I
think
the
you
know
the
weave
in
various
positions,
but
we're
at
the
tail
out
last
year,
because
I
think
they
felt
we
should
be
the
other
elected
officials
or
candidates
and
there's
no
need
for
that.
They
they're
there
because
they
want
to
be
last.
They
want
to
do
other
parades
and
arrive
late
or
as
late
as
they
can
to
participate.
So
that's
good
for
them,
but
for
us
being
at
the
end
means
we
never
see
the
parade.
G
You
know,
I,
don't
need
to
be
on
the
reviewing
stand,
but
I
would
like
to
see
people
in
this
community
in
the
parade
or
what
they're
doing
with
their
out
for
and
enjoy
it.
I
mean,
I
think,
it's
important
that
we
actually
see
what's
going
on,
so
I
think
it's
very
important
that
we
get
that
be
up
front
for
no
reason
like
prestige
or
anything
just
because
it's
a
good
place
to
then
be
able
to
turn
around
walk
back
and
see
the
craig.
F

A
C
C
A
That's
ready
to
go
all
right.
Any
other
comments
all
right.
Thank
you
very
much.
Okay.
Do
we
have
any
new
business?
Does
anyone
have
any
issues
they'd
like
to
raise
yeah
all
right?
What
yes
I'll
burn
homes.
