Description
Live broadcast of the 06-01-23 District 1 Town Hall Meeting
A
A
A
I
want
to
welcome
all
of
you
here
to
the
first
town
hall
meeting
for
me
as
your
councilwoman.
Thank
you
so
much
and
it's
it
is
so
heartwarming
to
see
so
many
people
who
came
out
and
so
I'm,
just
very
appreciative
that
you
are
here.
This
town
hall
is
really
designed
to
inform
and
to
hear
from
you
to
inform
you
about
our
city
government,
meaning
Inglewood
City,
so
I've
invited
many
of
the
department
heads
and
those
who
are
responsible
for
our
city
services.
A
And
I'm
going
to
introduce
my
colleagues
in
just
a
minute,
they're
ones,
making
a
little
noise
over
there,
but
they're
good
and
they're.
My
team
they're
we're
all
part
of
a
team,
so
we
work
together.
But
again,
this
town
hall
is
really
designed
to
inform
the
community
district,
one
of
the
different
services
that
are
provided
to
you
as
part
of
Inglewood
City
and
also
to
hear
from
the
residents.
A
Thank
you,
Alex,
and,
and
each
of
them
have
just
welcomed
me
and
I,
appreciate
everything
that
you
have
extended
to
me
and
we
also
have
councilwoman
Deon
fog
come
up
Dion,
step
out.
C
A
I
want
to
thank
both
of
them.
I
know:
councilman
elore
Morales
is
due
to
come
at
some
point.
Dion
councilwoman
Faulk
represents
the
fourth
district
right
and
councilman.
Elor
Morales
represents
the
Third
District
third
right
yeah.
Thank
you,
so
he
will
be
on
his
way.
So
thank
you
so
much
for
both
of
you
being
here.
Did
you
want
to
make
any
comments?
Are
you
good
or
what
would
you
like
to
do?
I'll.
E
Good
evening,
everyone
I,
thank
you
so
much
for
that
wonderful
introduction,
I
just
want
to
say,
welcome
to
all
of
you.
This
is
her
first
official
town
hall
and
I
know
that
she's
gonna
knock
it
out
the
park
tonight.
Let's
give
her
a
big
round
of
applause.
E
I
am
so
looking
forward
to
working
with
my
new
councilwoman
on
the
council.
We
have
so
much
to
learn
from
each
other.
She
has
a
very
successful
career.
I
know
that
she's
going
to
be
the
best
councilwoman
that
you
guys
could
possibly
ever
have
right
so
I'm,
looking
forward
to
supporting
her
on
the
council-
and
you
guys
have
a
wonderful
evening
and
a
great
meeting
tonight,
Alex.
F
Coming
up
all
right,
first
off
I
just
want
to
say
thank
you
thank
you
to
each
and
every
one
of
you
as
always,
because
we
wouldn't
get
done
what
we've
done
in
this
beautiful
city
of
Inglewood,
if
it
wasn't
for
our
residents,
the
folks
that
live
and
work
in
the
city
of
Inglewood.
That
believed
in
all
the
changes
that
we
have
made
and
want
to
continue
to
make
to
improve
Inglewood
and
continue
to
make
ingwood
the
Jewel
of
the
South
Bay,
because
we
are
the
Jeweler
of
the
South
Bay
and
also
the
city
of
Champions.
F
So
we
hold
those
two
titles
because
we
earn
them
and
that's
when
I
say
we
that's
all
of
us
and
so
again,
thank
you.
Thank
you
for
being
here
tonight
and
I
want
to
congratulate
councilwoman
Gray
on
being
the
representative
for
district
one,
and
it
certainly
has
been
a
pleasure
to
work
alongside
her
and
I'm
looking
forward
to
working
with
her
for
many
years.
So
with
that,
thank
you.
May
God
bless
you
and
one
more
thing
if
you
like
pancakes-
and
you
want
to
show
your
appreciation
to
our
firefighters
I'm
having
a
firefighter
appreciation.
F
Pancake
breakfast
at
station
172
on
Centinela
for
our
firefighters
and
it's
free
so
come
on
out
we're
going
to
have
raffle
prizes,
we're
going
to
have
a
amazing
time,
a
bunch
of
little
games
to
play
and
you're
gonna
have
a
some
delicious
pancakes,
sausages
and
just
a
good
time.
So
that's
on
June
the
10th
June
10th
from
19
11
30.,
look
forward
to
seeing
you
thank
you.
God
bless!
You.
A
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
You
know,
and
a
lot
of
folks
in
this
room
know
me
very
well,
and
you
know
that
I'm
very
inclusive,
so
I
you
know,
gave
the
opportunity
for
my
team
members
part
of
the
team
to
speak.
So
I
do
appreciate
them
being
here,
and
so.
Thank
you
again.
I
do
see
someone
in
the
audience
that
I'd
like
to
bring
up
and
she
has
been
a
part
of
this
community
in
her
capacity
in
the
role
of
City,
Treasurer
Wanda
Brown.
Please
come
forward.
Wanda
Brown
Wanda.
Please
come
forward.
A
G
A
To
mention
that
you
know
our
city
runs
efficiently
and
every
system
needs
Improvement
right,
but
there's
a
person
in
the
lead
role,
as
you
look
at
the
kind
of
services
that
is
provided
to
the
residents
and
that
person
has
been
extremely
helpful
to
me,
not
only
since
I've
been
on
the
city
council,
but
before
and
so
I'd
like
him
to
stand
up
and
be
acknowledged,
and
that
is
Mr
Arty
fills
our
city
manager,
city
manager,
foreign.
A
Thank
you
for
what
you
do.
The
city
clerk
is
not
here.
Aisha
Thompson
is
not
here.
No
okay,
City,
commissioners,
very
important
to
Steve.
A
Before
I
go
to
the
City
commissioners,
I
just
heard
that
we
have
another
important
person
in
the
room.
He's
part
of
our
state
government
he's
our
state
representative
as
our
senator
for
this
district
and
he's
also
a
friend
I've
known
Steve,
for
a
long
time
and
I'd
like
to
acknowledge
and
see
if
he
wants
to
come
forward.
Senator
Steve,
Bradford.
I
Thank
you
good
evening,
how's,
everyone.
Let's
give
Gloria
gray
Council
in
a
great
Round
of
Applause,
for
pulling
this
fantastic
crowd
together
and
just
really
wanna,
say
hey
how
much
we
support
our
seniors
and
I
see.
My
staff
has
probably
passed
around
a
legislative
Bill
sheet
and
one
of
the
issues
that
we're
working
on
and
we
just
got
it
out
to
Senate.
Just
yesterday
was
a
bill
on
prescription
drugs.
We
all
know
the
challenges
I'm
buying
our
prescription
drugs,
especially
for
our
seniors
in
a
high
price.
I
This
bill
will
allow
the
rebate
to
go
directly
to
you
if
it's
passed
currently
right
now,
the
discounts
on
on
pharmaceutical
drugs
go
back
to
the
insurers
or
the
provider,
and
you,
as
the
customer,
the
consumer
never
see
that
benefit.
So
we
want
to
make
sure
that
90
percent
of
that
discount
goes
back
to
senior
seniors,
so
we're
excited
about
that.
But,
more
importantly,
just
give
Gloria
a
round
of
applause
for
her
tremendous
leadership,
and
thank
you
for
inviting
me
to
be
here
and
say
a
few
words.
Thank
you
you're
more
than
welcome.
Thank.
A
Let's
see
we
have
in
the
room,
the
other
part
of
the
team,
the
council
team
and
a
great
colleague
on
the
on
the
council.
He
embraced
me
and
has
been
very
helpful
to
me
since
I've
been
councilwoman,
so
I'd
like
to
introduce
the
councilman
from
the
Third
District
councilman
e
Lord
Morales.
A
J
We
go,
you
have
fun
meeting
fun
meetings,
how's
everybody
doing
I'm
sure
everybody
said
hello
already
but
I'm
here,
because
Gloria
said
we
had
free
food,
just
kidding,
Gloria,
no,
listen!
The
the
the
great
thing
about
having
colleagues
is.
We
can
disagree,
but
we
truly
do
support
each
other
and
I'll.
Tell
you
that
you
know
we
may
not
be
at
every
meeting,
but
I
I
thought
it
was
real
good
that
she
invited
us
to
the
first
meeting.
J
J
K
You
guys
are
all
my
neighbors.
You
know
that
right
district,
one
District
One
Forever,
all
right
so
do
two
things
for
first
I
want
to
welcome
you
here
to
this
Senior.
Center
I,
don't
know
how
many
of
you
have
been
here,
but
this
is
the
finest
senior
center
in
the
state
of
California.
Okay,
it's
the
largest
senior
center
in
the
state
of
California.
K
K
Thank
you
now
you
notice.
When
you
sit
in
this
multi-purpose
room
and
you
look
out
there
right,
you
could
be
in
Redondo,
Beach,
Manhattan
Beach,
you
don't
know
where
you
are
right.
Well,
you're
in
Inglewood,
California,
so
I'm
going
to
show
you
a
brief,
maybe
four
and
a
half
minute
video
about
you
know
where
we've
come
and
I'm
gonna
say
a
few
more
words
and
I'm
gonna
turn
it
back
over
to
the
newest
council
person
in
the
city
of
ingua,
Gloria
gray,
who's
here
for
Gloria.
K
Okay,
wait
a
minute
time:
a
sound
won't
play
okay.
Well,
then,
you're
gonna,
we're
gonna,
show
it
at
a
different
time,
but
it's
a
it's
a
from
from
back
in
2011
when
I
took
office,
when
we
were
like
nine
months
away
from
cash
flow
bankruptcy,
meaning
we
wouldn't
have
made
payroll.
K
We
had
to
do
a
lot
of
tough
things.
We
had
to
cut
129
positions
in
the
city.
We
had
to
get
rid
of
a
Lifetime,
Medical
and
substitute
a
stipend
for
retirees.
We
did
a
lot
of
tough
things
when
I
left
Englewood
in
1991
to
go
to
Santa
Monica
to
be
the
chief
of
police.
We
had
the
Lakers,
the
Kings,
the
racetrack
was
doing
43
000
people
six
days
a
week.
You
remember
that
racetrack,
remember
racetrack
we
had
Airport
Park
Hotel.
K
K
When
Santa
Monica,
we
police,
chief
for
15
years,
then
I
went
to
work
for
the
Los
Angeles
airport
system
as
an
assistant,
general
manager
in
charge
of
Public,
Safety,
counter-terrorism
traffic
and
security,
and
then
I
came
back
and
I
ran
in
2010
in
four
elections,
two
for
the
temporary
seat,
two
for
the
permanent
seat,
didn't
win
until
the
runoff
for
the
permanency
and
then
so
now,
I'm
back,
remember
the
Lakers,
the
Kings
racetrack
Airport,
Park,
Hotel
Sizzler,
and
the
big
donut.
All
that
was
left
was
a
Sizzler
and
a
big
donut,
18
million
structural
deficit.
K
Now
we
have
over
100
million
in
cash
in
the
bank
in
Inglewood.
Our
property
values
come
about
average
about
seven,
fifty
eight
hundred
thousand
when
they
sell
properties
in
Westchester,
View
Park
their
heights,
Baldwin
Hills,
Limerick
Park.
You
know
what
they
put
in
real
estate,
Flyers,
they
put
ingwood
adjacent.
K
So
you
know,
we've
done
a
lot.
I
guess
Sabrina's
going
to
talk
as
later
on
today.
Are
you
in
the
speakers?
So
you
make
sure
you
tell
them
about
our
low
cost
for
low-income
families,
tennis
program
for
35
a
month
your
child
can
be
taught
tutored
by
former
Olympic
competitors
right
over
here
in
Edward
Vincent
Park.
K
We've
done
so
much
to
our
Parks
I'm,
going
to
leave
that
to
Sabrina
we've
come
such
a
long
ways
and
before
I
leave
I
want
to
acknowledge
that
Dr
Jim
Morris
is
here.
The
the
County
Administrator
for
the
school
district
he's
got
a
tough
job.
His
job
is
as
tough
as
mine
was
when
I
came
back
in
2011.,
and
so
people
thought
that
we
would
never
fix
Inglewood,
they
thought
we'd
never
reopen
the
form.
Then
we'd
never
get
a
football
team.
Well,
we've
done
so
much
more
than
that.
K
K
K
A
A
A
And
I
also
want
to
acknowledge
I'm,
I'm
sure,
you've
already
received
information.
We
have
two
tables
set
up
from
the
office
of
emergency
services.
So
thank
you
guys
for
being
here.
Please
get
all
the
information
very
important
to
be
prepared
for
emergencies.
So
thank
you
for
being
here
also.
We
have
a
table
set
up
for
information
about
the
Intuit
stadium
and
the
ITC
connector.
So
thank
you
all
of
you
for
being
here.
Thank
you.
So
much
so
please
get
the
information
and
I
want
to
acknowledge
upfront
before
I
forget.
A
Is
that
nothing
like
this
happens
without
people
putting
it
together,
right
and
so
I
want
to
acknowledge.
My
assistant,
Deputy
assistant,
believe
that
your
title
I'm
still
trying
to
figure
things
out
in
terms
of
the
title,
but
Alicia
Alicia
say
thank
you
for
just
the
work
you
do
and
also
I
want
to
acknowledge.
Gwen,
Goodman,
where's,
Gwen,
Gwen.
A
And
all
many
of
you
in
this
room
know
that
I
have
a
terrific
terrific
support
system
and
so
grateful
I
have
a
lot
of
people
support
me
and
just
volunteers
to
help
do
the
right
thing,
and
so
I
want
to
acknowledge
a
few
of
them
in
the
room
tonight
and
that
is
Joyce
Garner
sitting
at
the
table.
There
Audrey
Robinson,
Katie
Fuller
Trish
is
someplace
Joyce,
Joy,
Nelson,
Joyce
Nelson
and
her
husband
and
all
the
seniors
from
Osage
Village.
Thank
you
guys
all
for
being
here.
They
are
wonderful.
A
So
thank
you
and
I'm
sure
I've,
forgotten
someone,
but
the
mayor
mentioned
Dr
Morris,
but
he's
on
the
program.
So
we're
going
to
wait
and
let
him
speak
all
right
and
there
are
others
who
are
and
oh
Gerard
McCallum.
Please
stand
up.
This
guy
has
been
in
the
this.
Gerard
has
been
in
the
community
for
many
many
years,
doing
good
things
to
Wilson
and
Manny.
So
we
appreciate
that
I'm
sure
and
please,
if
I
forgot,
someone
in
the
room
that
is
here
representing
the
organization
just
stand
up.
Please
anybody
representing
organization!
A
Tracy
Tracy
is
the
new
president
right.
What
chairwoman
of
the
board
halima's?
Not
here?
Okay,
all
right
and
let's
give
Tracy
a
round
of
applause.
She
just
became
the
new
chairperson
and
I
know.
There
are
some
businesses
in
this
here
owners
in
this
room,
but
there's
one
who's
been
here
for
a
long
time
supporting
this
community
and
that's
Billy,
Campbell
where's,
Billy,
Campbell,
Allstate,
Billy,
Billy,
Campbell,
Allstate,
all
right
so
City
commissioners
are
very
important
to
what
happens
in
the
city
and
what
comes
before
the
council.
So
they
play
an
important
role.
A
Charles
Braggs
name
Castillo.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
So
much.
Thank
you.
So
much
so
and
let's
see
Alicia
already
introduced
her.
Everyone
has
your
number,
so
you
don't
need
to
repeat
it
right
now
and
and
Gwen
did
you
want
to
talk
about
briefly
the
hours
that
you're
there
and
because
the
icop
center
has
reopened
Omari
Morales?
Thank
you
Mari
for
being
here.
I
just
saw
you
great
so
I
want
to
briefly
just
talk
about
the
hours
because
it
has
reopened
in.
L
A
Thank
you
Gwen.
Thank
you.
So
much
the
one
other
comment
about
the
I
cop
sitter
I
plan
on
being
there
once
a
month,
rather
than
at
City
Hall,
it's
kind
of
like
an
Open
Door
meeting
and
I
haven't
set
the
times
yet,
but
it
will
probably
stagger
between
maybe
12
to
2
and
and
four
to
six
to
give
folks
an
opportunity
to
come
by
and
see
me
and
and
talk
about
whatever
issues
they
like
to
engage
with
me
on.
But
that's
my
plan.
A
M
A
And
now
we
will
get
to
the
presentations
and
just
to
kind
of
manage
the
time
and
I
know
we
kind
of
passed
the
times
right
now,
but
I'm
asking
folks.
If
you
have
questions,
please
go
to
the
mic
over
there
I
believe
right
there
after
each
person
makes
a
presentation.
If
you
have
some
comments
regarding
that
particular
area.
So
if
we
will
start
with
the
police
department,
Lieutenant
Nicole
Loudermilk
has
been
with
Inglewood
Police
Department
for
over
20
years.
A
She
started
as
a
patrol
officer
and
has
held
several
assignments,
such
as
anti-crime
team,
member
senior,
lead
officer,
housing
investigator
sergeant
and
is
currently
serves
as
the
Watch
Commander
for
Dave
watch,
B
Lieutenant,
a
lot
of
milk
oversees
the
Jail
Division
canine
unit
and
juvenile
division
program.
She
hosts
a
master's
in
public
administration
from
California
State
University
in
Northridge
Nicole.
N
A
O
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
Thank
you
for
having
me.
It
is
great
to
see
so
many
people
here.
This
is
a
testament
to
how
you
guys
care
about
your
community.
We
can't
do
the
police,
without
you
guys
helping
us
so
I
appreciate
each
and
every
one
of
you
guys
because
you're
saying
we
care
about
B3,
which
is
district
one.
We
call
it
a
b,
but
you
guys
call
it
a
district,
but
you
guys
being
here
taking
the
time
to
come
and
sit
down
and
listen
to
what
everybody
has
to
say.
O
You're
telling
me
and
all
these
other
Representatives
that
you
care
about
the
city
of
Inglewood,
I've,
known
Gloria
for
quite
some
time.
10
15
years
ago,
I
was
one
of
the
representatives
for
the
Englewood
police
activities
league,
and
we
didn't
have
any
money
and
I
would
come
to
glory
and
say
hey.
Could
you
give
us
a
couple
of
you
know
100
here
and
there
and
she'd
write
a
check
from
the
water
company
with
no
problem,
so
she's
always
supported
the
kids
in
the
city
of
Inglewood,
so
I
want
to
tell
her.
O
I'm
not
going
to
talk
along
I'm
gonna,
introduce
myself
I've
already
got
an
introduction.
I
brought
here
with
you,
some
officers
who
actually
and
I'm
going
to
have
him
just
come
they're
going
to
just
say
their
names
and
what
times
they
work.
But
these
are
the
actual
officers
that
work
your
area.
They
don't
work
any
other
area
in
the
city,
but
your
area,
they
work
B3
district,
one
up.
O
P
R
N
Good
evening
I'm
Matthew
Rodriguez
I
am
Wednesday
through
Friday
from
10
a.m,
to
9
30
p.m,
and
that's
every
other
Tuesday
as
well.
S
Gary's
Gary
siddle,
sorry
about
that
I
work
day,
watch
Monday
through
Wednesday,
every
Thursday
6
a.m,
to
about
5
p.m.
So
I'm
always
at
the
beach
Center
hanging
out
with
Gwen.
We
have
a
good
time
there
so
come
visit.
Us
you
see.
A
patrol
car
is
going
to
be
mine.
Okay,.
O
These
officers
actually
work
your
area,
they
don't
work,
the
North
End,
they
don't
work,
the
South
End
they
work,
B3
district,
one
so
I
wanted
you
guys
to
see
their
face,
know
their
names
flag
them
down,
get
to
know
them,
because
that's
the
way
that
we
connect
with
you
guys
to
get
to
know
have
a
conversation
with
them.
If
they're,
if
seals
at
the
B3
Center
ask
them
what's
going
on
in
the
community,
ask
him:
what
is
he
doing
today?
O
Ask
him:
is
the
city
busy
I
want
you
guys
to
know
my
officers
I'm,
going
to
leave
you
with
some
telephone
numbers
and
then
we're
going
to
take
some
questions,
but
I
want
you
guys
to
understand
that
we
are
here
to
serve
you.
So
if
there's
an
issue,
if
there's
a
concern,
you
should
have
our
email,
you
should
have
my
email
address.
You
have
my
phone
number
Gloria.
Has
my
cell
phone
number
she'll
call
me
at
any
time
if
something
is
wrong
and
I
need
to
address
it
and
there's
other
City
officials?
O
O
310-412-8771
I
know,
if
you're
aware
of
this,
but
when
you
call
9-1-1
and
that's
the
case
of
emergency,
it
has
to
go
through
CHP
if
you're
calling
on
your
cell
phone.
So
they
got
to
get
the
story,
and
then
they
got
to
call
that
number
that
I
just
gave
you
and
then
they
got
to
get
the
story
again
to
give
out
to
the
officers.
So
if
you
can,
you
can
dial
that
number
directly
and
that
goes
directly
to
dispatch
from
your
landline.
O
So
that
should
be
in
your
cell
phones,
and
you
can
also
call
that
from
your
landline,
another
number
I'm
gonna
give
you
is
my
number
directly
and
if
you're
ever
not
satisfied
with
the
level
of
service
that
we
have
provided
you.
That
is
the
number
that
you
call
to
talk
to
me.
The
numbers
310
-412
-5206-310.
O
D-E-R-M-I-L-K
just
like
it
sounds
louder
and
milk
and
put
it
together
real
simple,
so
I
know
you
guys
have
some
questions,
some
concerns
or
just
want
to
voice
your
opinion,
I'm
all
ears.
I
know
we
got
a
lot
of
presenters.
I
only
have
a
certain
amount
of
time.
I
am
more
than
welcome
to
take
questions,
comments
or
concerns.
Yes,
ma'am.
T
Our
church
Inglewood
First
United
Methodist.
We
have
people
who
have
been
asking
to
to
go,
but
now
I
have
faces
to
I'm
in
the
in
the
council
that
they
have
attend
outside
no
matter
what
we
ask
to
leave
doesn't
leave.
How
can
you
guide
me
and
the
committee
for
the
church
to
do
that?
It's
a
304,
East
Spruce
Avenue
by
the
Inglewood
of
Social
Security
that
building
okay.
O
Mic:
okay,
so
what
I
can
do
is
I
can
give
you
my
telephone
number
and
I
can
give
you
the
guidance
and
who
you
need
to
call
you
her.
Actually,
her
name
is
cindereller
she's,
our
community
liaison,
but
I'll
give
you
her
information
before
I
leave
or
I
can
give
it
to
you
guys.
Now
her
name
is
cindereller.
O
412-5530
and
she
helps
with
the
homeless
population
within
the
city
of
Inglewood.
She
helps
with
community
events
she
puts
on
the
cert
program
throughout
the
city
and
the
police
academies
for
the
citizens,
academies
for
the
citizens
through
the
police
department.
Those
are
all
the
things
that
Cinder
does
so
she's
a
wealth
of
information,
and
she
can
assist
you
with
that
and
once
again
her
name
is
cindereller.
The
number
is
310.
V
N
C
O
Okay,
so
handicap
should
only
be
for
the
handicap,
so
whoever's
running
this
Osage
Senior
Center
should
have
some
type
of
rules
and
regulations,
and
there
should
they
should
be
enforced
because
those
handicapped
parking
is
supposed
to
be
for
you.
So
maybe
I
need
to
schedule
an
appointment
with
the
manager
or
whoever's
running
this
program
or
this
place
where
you
guys
are
staying
at
and
explain
to
them
that
you
guys
need
your
handicap
parking
and
it's
not
just
for
their.
O
V
O
V
Also
resident
of
Osage
senior
Villa,
we
have
a
problem
with
people
breaking
our
doors
coming
in
trying
to
get
in
the
building.
So
is
there
any
type
of
Patrol
that
you
guys
do.
O
Yes,
so
a
couple
of
things
that
we
can
do,
there's
an
extra
Patrol
slip
that
you
can
fill
out
online.
You
go
to
inglewoodpd.org
and
it
says
extra
Patrol,
you
request
an
extra
Patrol,
it'll
drop
down
and
you
put
in
all
the
information
and
it'll.
Ask
you
what
time
and
where
the
problem
is
at
and
what
is
the
problem
and
that
actually
goes
directly
to
our
briefing.
So
we
brief
the
extra
patrols
on
a
daily
basis.
O
So
that's
something
that
you
can
actually
do
go
and
request
an
action
for
Charleston
officer
will
come
and
then
also
once
we
meet
with
the
management
company
there
we
can
do
a
set
report
and
that's
something
that
I
do.
Subtit
is
crime
prevention
through
environmental
design,
so
I'll
take
a
building
and
I'll
do
a
walk
throughout
the
building
and
tell
them
you
need
lighting
here.
You
need
this
kind
of
lock
there.
You
need
strips
on
this
on
the
ground
here.
O
You
need
this
amount
for
parking
and
those
things
are
something
that
I
can
do
that
I
recommend
I
can't
force
them
to
do
it,
but
if
I
recommend
it
and
it's
a
safety
caution-
and
you
know
you
don't
abide
by
it-
then
you'll
be
liable
for
it
and
I'll
explain
that
to
them.
So
they
will
take
heed
and
actually
make
the
changes
as
I
recommended,
but
yeah.
We
can
conduct
a
Septa
report
for
that
building.
No.
V
O
When
you
got
people
walking
there,
who
should
not
be
there,
that
is
the
reason
why
you
would
call
the
police
that
non-emergency
number
that
I
gave
you
and
I'll
mention
it.
Gwen
that
number
that
I
gave
you
the
8771,
that
is
for
non-emergencies.
You
can
go
ahead
and
call
them
and
say:
hey,
there's
some
people
here
who
are
not
here:
I
just
want
you
to
contact
them.
O
I
just
want
you
to
see
who
they
are
doesn't
mean
we're
going
to
come
and
take
anybody
to
jail,
but
that
gives
us
the
rights
to
at
least
have
a
legal
standing
to
contact
these
people
find
out
who
they
are
and
get
their
identification
Gwen.
You
said
you
had
some
information.
You
could
help
her
with
yeah.
O
W
Thank
you
lieutenant
and
congratulations.
Gloria
gray
for
your
first
town
hall
meeting.
W
W
When
we
deal
with
our
new
I
guess
you
could
say:
basketball
team,
the
Clippers
coming
in
so
far
football
stadium
and
the
Forum
and
we're
noticing
that
there
are
indications
that
there
are
events
happening,
but
I
feel
as
though
those
event
awarenesses
or
signs
should
be
a
little
further
out
so
that
we
don't
come
into
that
particular
problem
that
we're
facing
when
it
comes
to
parking
in
our
various
residences.
So
is
there
something
that
you
can
do
to
circumvent
that
situation,
especially
when
we
know
that
the
Clippers
are
coming
to
town?
So.
O
W
O
X
Y
O
So
I'll
exchange
information
with
you,
I'll
I'll,
give
that
information
to
our
narcotics
team
and
more
even
before
I
even
get
to
their
narcissotics
I'll,
get
some
officers
out
there
immediately
so
that
they
can
at
least
contact
these
people
and
who
they
are
ask
for
enterprise.
We
can
go
and
talk
to
them
and
ask:
are
they
just
leaving
their
cars?
Are
they
not
cleaning.
X
O
O
O
412-5206
I'm
one
of
four
watch
commanders.
We
work
basically
24
hours
a
day
around
seven
days
a
week.
We
split
the
ship
up
and
we
split
the
beats
up.
So
there's
a
Watch
Commander
for
every
beat
I.
Am
your
B3
Watch
Commander?
Does
anybody
else
have
any
well?
We
already
took
questions
once
again.
I
will
tell
you
I'll
talk
to
you.
I'll
stay
here
a
little
while
oh
I
just
want
to
say
thank
you.
You
just
don't
know
how
many
meetings
I've
been
and
it's
empty.
You
guys
are
here
saying
I
care.
A
My
grandkids
I
mean
I,
love,
Inglewood
is
I'm
sure
all
of
you
do
and
we
are
concerned
about
the
quality
of
life
right,
that's
what
it's
all
about
the
quality
of
life,
and
so
thank
you
for
all
the
questions,
and
this
is
just
the
first
town
hall
meeting
I
plan
on
doing
this
in
another
two
or
three
months.
So,
if
your
question's
not
answered
now
or
you
have
the
information,
you
know
how
to
call
my
office,
but
we
will
do
this
again.
So
just
remember.
A
This
is
not
the
only
one
so
with
that
I'm
going
to
introduce
the
next
person
and
if
you
can
and
and
thank
you
big
money,
because
I
know
that
you
can
kind
of
expand
on
your
questions.
So
you
are
great
so
kind
of
keep
your
questions,
concise
and
focus
and
to
the
point.
So
we
get
the
information
all
right.
So
the
next
person
is
the
deputy
director
of
housing
protection
known
this
young
lady
for
many
years
very
capable
and
yo.
Her
name
is
Yakima
Decatur
right
all
right.
A
Z
Good
evening,
everyone
why
Nicole
was
happy
to
see
a
whole
bunch
of
faces.
I
have
the
Jitters,
because
I
hate
speaking
so
I'm
going
to
try
to
get
through
this.
The
councilwoman
gave
me
a
quick
out
I,
get
like
real
nervous
with
public
speaking
I'm
working
on
it,
but
I
had
a
whole
presentation
stayed
here.
Late
and
I
was
like
oh
my
God,
and
she
was
like
no
five
minutes.
Z
So
I'm
gonna
give
you
a
brief
overview
of
housing
protection
and
then,
if
you
have
questions
I'm
better
with
q
a
anyway,
so
in
2019
March
of
2019,
the
mayor
and
council
members
adopted
a
moratorium,
limiting
rent
increases
and
when
and
then
in
October
2019
the
state
of
California
adopted
assembly,
Bill
1482,
which
placed
the
whole
state
of
California
under
in
control
they
gave.
Z
Ab1482
is
known
as
the
tenant
protections
act
and
it
basically
limits
the
amount
owners
can
raise
rents.
How
often
they
can
raise
rents,
which
is
once
every
12
months,
and
if
a
tenant
has
completed
12
months
of
tenancy.
You
need
a
justifiable
reason
to
terminate
their
tendency
or
to
evict
them.
Z
The
the
bill
1482
also
gave
municipality
cities,
counties
the
right
to
adopt
their
own
laws,
and
that
way
we
can
enforce
the
laws
that
happen
in
the
city.
So
the
city
council,
in
November
2019,
adopted
the
housing
protection
ordinance
May
of
2020
they
created
and
developed
the
department,
and
then
I
was
later
promoted
as
a
deputy
director
to
govern
and
enforce
the
city's
housing
protection
laws.
Z
In
so
with
that
said,
two,
there
are
two
units
single
family
homes
as
long
as
they're
owned
by
a
single
person
or
I
mean
a
natural
person
or
Family
Trust.
They
are
not
under
rent
control.
However,
you
have
to
give
your
tenant
a
notice
that
they're
not
under
in
control
and
then
once
you
do,
that
your
exempt
from
rent
control
laws
in
the
cities,
two
units
or
more
there's
a
mandatory
registration
that
has
to
happen
and
for
two
units.
Z
If
the
owner
owned
the
own
the
property
and
lived
there
before
his
tenant
he's
exempt
from
rent
control
laws.
Again,
he
has
to
provide
the
tenant
with
notice
three
units
or
more
underwent
control
unless
it's
a
new
development,
15
years
or
less
and
then,
like,
unfortunately,
senior
centers
or
affordable
housing
developments.
Those
properties
are
not
under
rent
control.
Z
We
did,
however,
put
Section
8
under
rent
control,
so
it's
it's
basically
whatever
type
of
property
you
live
in.
So
if
you're,
a
Section
8
tenant
and
you
decide
to
move
into
a
single
family
home
you're,
not
under
rent
control.
But
if
you
move
into
a
five
unit
building,
you
would
be
underring
control.
Z
In
2020,
the
city
council
adopted
short-term
the
short-term
rental
ordinance
so
for
four
units
or
less
owner
occupied
the
owner
has
to
have
owned
the
property
for
five
years,
be
a
resident
for
five
years
for
them
to
be
allowed
to
do
short-term
rentals
like
Airbnb
or
VRBO
or
booking.com
or
net.
So
the
the
city
council
did
adopt
that
so
I
oversee
those
two
divisions
in
the
city
and
they
make
up
the
housing
protection
Department.
Z
W
T,
you
know:
I
visited
your
office,
we're
talking
about
fair
market
value,
I
live
in
a
bachelor
apartment,
I
was
charged
10
and
everybody
in
my
complex
has
one
bedroom
but
mid
and
one
other
right,
I'm
trying
to
rationalize
how
there
is
fair
market
value
when
I
do
not
have
one
bedroom,
I
have
no
bedroom,
but
I'm
told
by
you
and
others
that
this
is
fair
market
value.
Can
you
explain
to
us
how
that
is
fair
market
value?
Absolutely.
Z
W
Let
me
just
say
this
in
closing
that
I,
maybe
attempt
to
email
the
housing
HUD
I
have
yet
to
receive
any
return
phone
call.
As
of
the
date
that
I
came
in
to
talk
with
you
personally
got.
Z
It
so
let
me
let
me
say:
I
am
super
big
on
customer
service
and
returning
calls
and
meeting
with
the
constituency.
I
have
no
control
over
federal
government.
I
can
only
oversee
my
office
with
that
said,
as
I
was
explaining
to
big
money
Griff,
because
we
go
back
a
ways
as
I
was
explaining
to
him
the
Department
of
Housing
and
Urban
Development,
they
have
every
year
they
publish
fair
market
rents
for
the
area.
Z
It
includes
singles
one
bedrooms,
two
bedrooms,
three
bedrooms,
four
bedrooms
Etc
and
they
attach
a
certain
rent
amount
based
on
the
area
we
live
in
for
those
types
of
units.
What
our
Council
allows
for
is
if
rents
are
less
than
80
percent
of
fair
market,
as
established
by
Hud
owners,
can
request
a
slightly
larger
rent
increase.
So
last,
as
of
last
May
2022
after
covet
inflation,
Rose,
like
I,
think
people
complained
about
the
price
of
eggs,
inflation
Rose
for
everything
and
the
CPI,
which
is
the
inflation
that
we
use
for
our
rent
increases,
was
7.9.
Z
But
if
your
rent
was
less
than
80
percent.
Of
that
fair
market
number,
the
owner
could
get
an
additional
percentage
which
brought
it
up
to
10.
Rent
increase.
Rent
increases
will
never
be
over
10
percent,
so
it
it.
It
is
I
I
hear
you
I
and
I
agree.
I'm,
a
renter,
so
I
understand,
but
as
I
was
explaining
is
not
my
office
and
you
understood
it's
not
my
office
that
sets
Fair
markets.
It's
the
federal
government
have
no
control
over
that,
but
I
will
give
you
the
email
and
not
the
email.
Z
Z
Okay,
hello,
so
I
love
those
gentrification
and
laws
of
the
city.
I,
don't
sit
on
the
dice
I'm
Not
Elected
I'm,
an
Inglewood
resident
that
is
not
my
Forte
I'm
no
authority
over
it
I'm
here
to
provide
a
service
to
the
city,
as
the
people
you
elected
said.
This
is
what
it
is.
That's
why
I'm
here?
That's
it!
That's
all
and
I
care.
AA
AB
AA
No,
no
look
here
when
somebody
wins
somebody
said
because
they
lost
and
the
landlords
are
losing
on
this
side
and
I
hear
you
through
a
lot
of
things
for
the
tenant,
but
I
heard
one
thing
for
the
landlord
hello,
Governor
Newson
started
all
of
this.
When
he
taught
the
tenants
they
didn't
have
to
pay
me
rent.
AA
So
so
I
just
want
to
know
with
all
the
Endeavors
and
efforts
you
have
done
on
the
behalf
of
the
tenant.
What
have
you
done?
Absolutely
hang
on
hang
on
for
the
landlord
for
number
one.
It's
been
tough.
We
can't
get
loans,
I
think
that
we
need
some
things
to
help
us
like
for
developing
our
properties,
and
we
have
a
lot
of
restrictions.
You
can't
do
this.
You
can't
do
that.
Listen
I
got
a
five
unit
in
one
place.
AA
Z
Appreciate
your
question
and
my
intent,
my
team's
intent
I,
don't
like
to
do
the
boss
thing
so
me
and
my
team.
Our
intent
was
to
be
as
fair
and
as
serviceable
to
landlords
as
well
as
tenants.
For
instance,
I
know
that
landlords
with
the
laws
that
were
going
on
during
covet
tenants,
not
gonna,
say
all
because
I
paid
my
rent,
so
some
tenants
were
not
paying
rent,
but
all
I
had
to
do
was
sign
a
piece
of
paper
and
just
say:
I've
been
affected
by
covid
and
I.
Z
Don't
have
to
pay
rent
when
the
tenants
would
call
us
we
would
encourage
them
to
pay
something
and
there's
a
rule
that
says.
If
you
don't
register
your
property,
you
can't
evict.
You
can't
collect
rent.
You
can't
do
this
that
in
the
third
I
make
sure
that
when
a
tenant
calls
me
and
I
see,
the
property
is
not
registered.
I.
Take
that
opportunity
to
educate
my
landlords.
One
of
the
things
is
I
want
just
like
rent
control.
I
know
it's
not
favorable
for
owners,
but
just
like
tenants
are
empowered
because
of
these
new
laws.
Z
Z
They
understand
that
I
didn't
make
the
law
and
it
wouldn't
matter
because
the
state
of
California
is
under
rent
control
anyway,
but
because
of
the
service
we
provide
and
we
listen
99
of
them
leave
happy
because,
usually
when
you
call
a
government
office,
you
can't
get
a
person.
They
send
you
the
12
different
extensions.
No
one
knows
anything:
we
really
try
to
go
above
and
beyond
to
help
and
I
care
I'm
a
caring
person.
You
probably
can't
see
it,
but
I
appreciate.
Z
AC
I
manage
about
350
apartments
in
Inglewood,
including
district
one.
Yes,
sir,
my
lawyer
told
me
that,
for
three-day
notices
for
people
that
haven't
paid
rent
for
for
years,
I
can
only
go
back
from
April,
May
and
June
of
2023
to
give
them
a
three-day
notice
to
collect
that
rent.
Would
you
explain
what
the
eviction
process
is?
Absolutely
we're
back.
I
can
go
to
collect
back.
Z
Rent,
absolutely
so
for
as
of
April
1st,
if
you
have
a
tenant
that
has
not
paid
rent,
you
give
them
the
regular
three-day
notice
for
rent
that
was
owed
before
April
1st
you
give
them
a
30-day
notice.
I
believe
what
the
courts
are
wanting
is
for
landlord
and
tenant
to
probably
come
up
with
some
type
of
payment
plan
before
it
gets
to
court.
But
I
can't
speak
to
that,
but
if
it's
rent,
that's
old
before
April
1st
30
day
notice,
30-day
notice
to
pay.
Thank
you.
You're
welcome.
A
You
know
this
is
not
only
an
informative
meeting.
This
is
a
fun
meeting.
Town
Hall!
That's
what
you
did
a
great
job,
Yakima
great
job,
great
job,
all
right.
Next
we
have
Public
Works
this
person,
I've
known
for
a
very
long
time.
It
seems
like
I've
known
so
many
people
for
a
while
in
Inglewood,
but
but
Lewis
is
a
friend
he's
a
great
civil
servant
for
the
city
of
Inglewood
he's
the
assistant
City
Manager
for
Public
Works
director
did
I.
Give
you
the
right
title.
A
AD
Thank
you
councilwoman.
Yes,
I've
known
you
for
about
going
on
about
13
years.
We
met
because
I
actually
ran
for
the
West
Basin
at
one
time.
I
wanted
to
make
a
difference.
I
tell
people
if
you
want
to
make
a
difference
in
government
run,
hopefully
their
Council
people
aren't
here
and
they're
listening
to
me,
but
that's
how
you
do
it
and
sorry
and
I'd
like
to
say
something
else:
Yakima
you
did
a
great
job
wherever
you
went,
I
I
got
to
take
lessons
from
you
actually,
so
thank
you
anyway.
AD
I
work
for
the
public
works
department,
I'm
also
the
assistant
city
manager,
so
I
have
two
roles:
I've
been
in
government
now
for
over
23
years
and
10
years
in
private.
So
since
I
graduated
from
college,
I
have
33
years
of
public
infrastructure.
Experience
and
I
came
to
the
city
of
Inglewood
11
years
ago
before
that
I
was
with
the
city
of
Downey
and
the
city
of
Los
Angeles.
So
I've
done
some
stints
in
my
time
and
I
do
color
my
beard.
It
would
be
gray
if
I
didn't
do
it.
AD
So
there
you
go
anyway.
I
was
expecting
something
to
hold
the
mic,
but
I'll
hold
it
and
I'll
go
ahead
and
just
read
off
if
I
could
up
the
teleprompter.
AD
So
this
public
works
department.
We
have
several
divisions
within
the
public
works
department,
but
we're
primarily
in
charge
or
responsible
for
the
public
right
away,
so
the
streets,
the
sidewalks,
the
trees,
the
waste
hauler,
anything
that
has
to
do
with
work
within
the
public
right-of-way.
It
could
be
Edison
that
comes
into
town
or
could
be
Charter
Communication,
that's
doing
work
in
the
public
right
away.
They
come
to
the
city
of
Inglewood
for
a
permit
because
we
want
to
make
sure
whatever
they
do
within
the
public.
AD
Right-Of-Way
is
done
according
to
the
green
book,
which
is
the
Public
Works
code.
Oh
and
I'd
like
to
mention
I
have
a
couple
people
in
the
back
that
work
with
me.
We
have
Harry
frisbee,
he's
our
chief
superintendent
of
field
operations
and
we
have
Bill
Thompson
he's
parking
in
traffic
enforcement,
so
they're
they're
here
to
support
me
because
I'm
not
as
good
as
Yakima
I,
can't
remember
anything
and
I
have
this
to
help
me
out.
AD
And
our
core
Services
are
up
here
as
well
and
we're
also,
we
also
do
water
sewer
and
storm
drain
as
well,
and
also
mapping
so
recently
completed
projects.
We've
done
plenty
within
the
district.
Within
the
last
couple
years.
You
can
see
the
streets
that
we
perform
some
kind
of
improvements
on
whether
they
be
grinding
overlay
or
slurry
seal,
but
we've
improved
these
streets
within
the
past
couple
years.
I
won't
name
them
off
there's
so
many
and
I
only
have
a
few
minutes,
but
here
they
are,
and
also
alleys
as
well.
AD
So
we've
improved
33
000
square
feet
of
sidewalk
about
1700
feet
of
carbon
gutter,
4
200
square
feet
of
driveway
25
000
feet
of.
Actually
this
is
on
Manchester,
but
going
back.
Let
me
see
if
I
have
it
760
000
square
feet
of
streets.
That's
almost
a
million
square
feet
of
Street!
That's
16
Lane
miles
of
street
that
we've
done
over
the
past
couple
years
and
I
I
mean
we
have
180
miles
in
this
city
of
total
streets.
AD
So
you
may
not
see
your
street
on
here
yet,
but
I
can
guarantee
you
before
coming
here
the
city.
There
wasn't
very
much
that
was
done
in
the
city.
To
be
quite
honest
with
you
in
the
last
10
years,
we've
done
more
than
in
the
previous
20
years.
We've
done
double
than
we
did
in
the
previous
20
years
in
the
last
10
years,
and
so
it
may
not
seem
like
it,
because
we
have
a
lot
of
ketchup
to
do,
but
we'll
eventually
get
there.
I
promise
you
that,
especially
with
the
councilwoman
on
our
side,.
AD
AD
So
and
what's
really
cool,
is
we
redid
the
medians?
Those
old
medians
were
horrible,
so
we
added
in
the
decomposed
granite
and
some
Landscaping
touch,
not
the
boring.
You
know
you
can
see
it
right
there,
foreign
and
then
Morningside
Library
I'm,
not
a
huge
project,
but
it
does
make
a
huge
difference.
AD
Some
pictures
we
did
the
parking
lot
and
then,
of
course,
we
really
care
about
what
we're
going
to
be
doing
right,
because
what
we've
already
done
is
there.
We
want
to
talk
about
what
we're
going
to
be
doing
and
what
we're
currently
doing
and
we're
actually
out
there
right
now
doing
quite
a
bit
and
you're
going
to
see
it
because
so
far,
we've
just
done
the
concrete
improvements,
but
we're
going
to
be
doing
the
paving
improvements.
AD
And
so
this
is
where
that's
currently
under
construction,
and
these
are
the
streets
that
are
currently
under
construction
or
will
be
in
construction
within
the
next
couple
weeks
or
so,
and
so
you
may
have
seen
some
concrete
work
going
on.
But
these
are
the
roadway
resurfacing
that
is
going
on
in
these
areas
and
you
will
see
more
in
the
following
year
as
well.
So
this
is
an
annual
program.
AD
We
do
the
northern
part
of
the
city
one
year
and
we
do
the
southern
part
of
the
city
the
next
year,
and
we
do
that.
So
our
costs
come
in
more
efficiently,
they're
more
feasible
because
the
projects
are
bigger.
So
we
will
be
back
next
year
as
well.
We
won't
do
as
much
but
the
year
after
that,
we'll
hit
it
really
hard
like
we
did
this
past
year,
and
then
here
are
some
of
the
alleys
that
we're
doing
as
well
and
we're
expecting
to
finish
this
project.
July
2023.
L
AD
This
is
a
grinding
overlay.
This
is
where
we
take
off
the
top
two
inches
of
asphalt.
That's
usually
where
you
see
the
alligator
cracking
the
crack
in
the
asphalt
when
it
rains.
Those
are
usually
where
your
potholes
are.
We
we
strip
that
top
layer
off.
This
is
what
you
get
I
know
we've
all
driven
that
before.
But
then,
when
we're
done,
we
put
the
new
asphalt
on
a
lot
of
times.
People
go.
When
are
you
going
to
finish
it?
Are
you
going
to
leave
it
like
this?
We
we
do
and
then
Crenshaw
Boulevard.
AD
That
is
our
latest
biggest
project.
As
you
everybody
knows
in
here,
we've
done
Manchester
a
while
back,
but
we
did
Century
Boulevard
a
few
years
ago.
It
turned
out
beautiful.
It
was
a
40
million
dollar
project,
I'm
glad
we
did
it
before
the
big
inflation
hit.
We
also
did
Imperial.
We
did
Prairie
and
crunch
Crenshaw
is
really
our
last
project.
AD
I'm
sorry
hurry
up.
Is
that
what
you
said?
Oh,
oh,
that's,
not
good!
Okay!
So
anyway,
there's
Crenshaw!
Okay,
let's
have
a
raise
of
hands,
am
I
taking
too
long;
okay,
okay,
oh
hurry
up
and
do
Crenshaw
I
got
you
I.
Okay,
I
thought
it
was
just
me:
okay,
okay,
thank
you!
Yeah!
So
Crenshaw
we've
got
Federal
money
for
this
project,
so
we
have
to
go
through
a
federal
process
which
actually
takes
a
little
bit
longer.
AD
AE
AE
Oh
boy,
maybe
it
needs
to
go
higher.
Okay,
Vanetta
Nickerson
Campbell
on

I've,
been
trying
to
reach
out
to
your
office
to
fix
an
opening
between
the
city
side
and
the
curbside
about
six
of
your
people,
or
your
members
of
your
team
came
out.
They
figured
it
was
a
tree,
so
they
fixed
the
tree.
They
were
supposed
to
come
out
and
put
dirt
in
this
hole.
That's
about
this
long,
almost
two
feet
deep,
but
no
one's
done
anything
about
it.

Thank
you
guys.
I
I
have
a
small
problem,
I'm
sure
that
the
city
have
taken
care
of
it.
I
haven't
really
addressed
anyone,
so
it's
not
like
something:
I've
been
going
back
and
forth,
calling
people
about,
but
I
figured.
This
was
a
good
opportunity
because
I
read
there
and
it
said
something
about
a
street
cleaning
or
what
have
you
or
something
similar
to
that?
What
happens
is
that
now
that
we
have
the
new
Nile
bar,
which
I
love
a
lot?
AF
It's
very
busy
and
people
Park
a
lot
on
Manchester.
Now
the
city
never
cleans
Manchester
over
there
I
mean
they
probably
once
every
four
months
you
will
see
a
guy
out
there
with
blowers
so
which
means
every
morning
when
we
wake
up,
we
have
to
get
BC
powder,
Hennessy
bottles
and
everything
it's
like
every
day.
Well,
the
knob
bar
isn't
every
day,
but
it's
very
popular
now
and
again:
I
love
the
Nile
bar
I'm,
glad
that
they're
there
they
bring
a
lot
to
the
city
and
I
love
the
owners.
AF
The
fact
of
the
matter
is
that
we
just
need
to
get
you
know.
Late
night
people
drink
and
they
do
a
lot
of
things,
and
you
know
I,
don't
know
if
it's
necessarily
our
problem
in
terms
of
business
owners
to
have
to
clean
up
behind
with
that,
but
I
do
know
for
a
fact
that
the
city
does
a
really
good
job
at
cleaning
Market
Street
like
morning
every
morning
you
know
I
see
it.
AF
We've
been
there
now
about
eight
years,
so
I
kind
of
know
and
see
a
lot
in
terms
of
the
cleaning
and
I
know,
in
fact,
that
they
do
a
great
job
of
cleaning,
marketing
and
I.
Just
ask
that
we
could
possibly
come
down
Manchester
at
least
up
to
La
Brea,
because
people
Park
on
both
sides
all
night
long,
because
the
Nile
bar
is
here
it's
popular.
The
wood
is
here.
It's
probably
you
know.
Inglewood
is
growing,
so
I
think
that
our
cleaning
crew
needs
to
grow
as
well.
AD
That's
a
great
point,
and
actually
we
you're
right
about
Market
Street.
We
we
focused
on
Market
quite
a
bit
and
we
also
Focus
after
the
Sofi
and
Forum
events.
We
have
Crews
that
are
out
there,
that
night
and
in
the
morning
and
those
Crews
work
for
Harry
frisbee
as
well
so
yeah.
So
that
could
be
an
area
that
we
focus
on.
Maybe
we
also
reach
out
to
the
now
bar
and
see
if
there's
anything
that
they
can
do
I.
C
AD
You
yeah
you're
welcome,
give
your
information
to
Harry
if
you
could.
As
far
as
the
address.
Oh
okay,.
B
B
AD
Okay,
so
what
we
can
do
definitely
is
take
a
look
at
that
and
see
how
what
the
impact
is
and
work
with
you
on
that
and
if
we
need
to
relocate
it
we'll
relocate
it.
Okay,
you
again
talk
to
Harry
frisbee
in
the
back,
give
a
little
bit
more
information
and
we'll
make
sure
we
talk
to
you
about
it.
Okay,
all.
AB
I
live
on
Fifth
Avenue
and
the
previous
administration
for
the
first
district
had
indicated
to
us
that
we
need
to
have
a
petition
signed
by
the
residents
at
least
70
percent
of
the
residents
on
our
block
to
have
a
speed
bumps
installed
on
our
street
now.
The
reason
for
that
is
that,
as
you
well
know,
century
was
completed
and
Fifth
Avenue
is
the
only
street
that
you
can
go
north
on
if
you're
going
eastbound
on
Century.
AB
AB
Fifth
Avenue
from
Century
to
Hardy
was
repaved,
but
from
Hardy
to
Manchester
it
was
not
I,
see
that
you
have
8th,
Avenue
and
8th
Avenue
is
not
even
a
through
street
I'm,
not
understanding
how
Fifth
Avenue
was
overlooked.
At
one
point,
Fifth
Avenue
had
RTD
going
down
the
street,
so
now
we
are
overlooked.
We
are
the
main
street
from
century
to
Manchester,
and
actually
it
goes
beyond
Manchester
all
the
way
to
Florence.
So
we
on
Fifth
Avenue
would
like
something
done.
AD
AB
AB
AD
AG
AG
AG
They
zoom
up
and
down
78th
Place,
all
the
way
to
Van
Ness,
speeding,
speeding,
speeding
now
the
petitions
for
the
speed
bumps
it
takes
a
long
time,
but
why
does
it
have
to
have
a
person
who's
going
to
get
injured,
Susan
City
for
lack
of
a
time
frame
to
put
these
speed
bumps
in
place?
That's.
AD
So,
but
what
we
can
do
is
if
there's
a
petition-
and
it's
signed
you-
you
turn
it
in
and
then
what
we
do
is
we'll
do
a
speed
survey
and
then,
based
on
the
speed
survey
and
the
thresholds
that
need
to
be
met,
that's
set
by
Council,
then
we
can
either
put
them
in
or
there's
cost
sharing
involved
between
the
people
that
live
on
the
street
and
the
speed
humps.
Depending
on
the
speeds
that
are
found
by
the
speed
survey.
AG
AD
Sir
you're
absolutely
right:
when
I
first
came
here,
there
was
somebody
that
was
killed
there,
and
so
what
we're
doing
is
we're
actually
going
to
put
in
a
pedestrian
signal
there.
A
real
signal
it'll
be
look
like
a
regular
signal,
but
it's
for
pedestrians.
So
it's
called
the
hawk
system
and
when
somebody
presses
the
button
there
will
be
actually
flashing
red
light
similar
if
you've
been
to
Hermosa
Beach
on
PCH.
It's
similar
to
that
so
it'll
be
a
very
safe
and
effective
way
of
pedestrians
to
cross
right.
There.
Y
My
name
is
Donald
Charles
and
I
live
on
83rd
and
8th
Avenue
I
heard
the
man
say
it
a
while
ago
seemed
like
his
sleep
was
neglected,
but
I
think
I
might
actually
seemed
like
being
neglected
between
7th
Avenue
and
8th
Avenue
I
live
near
8th,
Avenue
and
I've
been
complaining
about
a
hump
in
the
sidewalk
that
the
tree
The
Roots
have
pushed
up.
Y
They
came
by
and
put
some
black
tar,
you
know,
and
naturally
the
wear
and
tear
is
gonna,
get
rid
of
the
the
the
black
towel
that
they
put.
There
I've
been
complaining
that
tree
for
years
nothing
had
been
done
now.
Y
The
tree
is
so
tall
during
this
rainy
season
that
we
had
I
got
a
flat
roll,
the
leaves
on
my
room
and
it
stopped
up
my
drain
in
the
back.
My
back
room,
my
bedroom
now
I
got
a
big
leak
because
the
dream
is
stopping
the
water
set
down
until
it
seeped
through
the
ceiling
is
bad,
the
insurance
company
say
is
wear
and
tear
so
I've
asked
the
last
time
to
trim
that
tree.
I
asked
them
to
top
it
off,
so
the
leaves
wouldn't
fall
on
the
roof.
Y
AD
AC
A
A
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
So
much
Lewis
great.
Thank
you.
You
know
it's
obvious
that
there
are
a
lot
of
information
and
questions
that
people
in
this
community
have
and
need
a
dress.
So
I'm
very
appreciative
of
not
only
the
questions
but
staff
being
here
and
remember.
This
is
just
the
first
one
and
if
you
don't
get
your
question
answered
now,
staff
is
in
the
back.
A
Lewis
is
there,
and
everyone
who
has
spoken
I
believe
is
still
here
so
feel
free
to
go
and
talk
to
them,
while
you're
here
I
want
to
make
sure
that
everyone
has
phone
numbers
for
the
different
department
heads
who
are
presenting
Lewis.
Did
you
give
your
phone
number?
Where
are
you
miss
that
one
yeah,
if
they
can
hear
you.
A
All
right
all
right
and
if
you
didn't
I,
think
everyone
else
gave
you
their
their
information,
because
it's
important
that
your
issues
are
addressed.
It's
not
only
is
it
important
to
you,
but
it's
important
to
me
so
remember
that
right
and
you
know
my
office
number,
you
know
my
staff
person
and
you
know
me
so
that's
important.
Next,
we
have
well
before
I
go
there.
I
know
Bill
Thompson,
who
is
Lewis's
staff
person
and
laws
are
in
the
back,
so
make
sure
you
guys
go
to
them.
A
If
you
have
questions
still
still
more
questions,
but
right
now,
I'm
going
to
ask
the
Inglewood
Transit
connector
consultant,
her
name
is
Lisa
trivelletti
from
triviality
counts,
consulting
company,
you've
probably
seen
her
throughout
the
community.
Making
presentations.
I,
know
she's
committed
to
making
sure
this
project
works,
and
so
I'm
happy
to
have
her
here
to
talk
about
it.
A
I
know
it's
a
lot
of
information
to
learn
about
it
and
she's,
given
a
lot
of
information
in
the
past,
but
she's
going
to
briefly
talk
about
it
now
and
answer
your
question,
please
be
precise
because
we
want
to
get
everybody
on
the
program
and
anything
you
have
left
you
could
Lisa
can
answer
it
afterwards.
So
thank
you,
Lisa.
Thank
you.
Well,.
AH
I
know
it's
already
been
a
long
evening,
so
I'll
work
to
try
to
be
brief
and
I
see
a
number
of
people
that
were
at
the
Town
Hall
last
night
that
council
member
Falk
had,
and
so
you
might
be
able
to
give
this
presentation
yourself
after
a
while
just
by
way
of
background
I,
don't
think
people
realize,
but
my
mom
grew
up
on
521
North
Market.
She
graduated
Inglewood,
High
1967
and
her
first
job
was
at
the
Sears
working
every
department
so
and
my
father
who's
a
cute.
Yes,.
A
AI
AH
When
I
worked
for
the
city
of
Los
Angeles,
which
was
for
11
years
seven
out
of
the
11
years,
I
was
at
the
Los
Angeles
World
airports.
In
that
position,
there
I
was
in
charge
of
early
environmental
programming
group
and
I
helped
LAX
come
up
with
a
plan
where
they
finally
have
a
train
being
built,
which
is
amazing
to
see
from
the
terminals
to
the
Metro
Crenshaw
line.
AH
In
that
role,
I
also
got
to
work
with
Inglewood
and
I,
see
Betty
Griffith
here,
because
in
2015
they
made
me
in
charge
of
the
sound
insulation
program
and
we
worked
with
the
city
of
Inglewood.
We
gave
a
hundred
million
dollars
to
the
city
to
get
2
700
homes
insulated
in
one
year,
and
we
reinstituted
the
sound
insulation
program
to
Inglewood
schools.
AH
When
we
did
the
people
mover
project
at
LAX,
we
also
did
a
part
A
partnership
and
I
got
to
know
Lewis
Atwell,
where
we
gave
another
25
million
dollars
to
the
city
of
Inglewood
to
work
on
a
program
called
I
ride
about
40
000
people
who
work
at
LAX.
35
of
them
live
in
Inglewood,
Hawthorne
and
Lennox,
and
so
it
was
taking
them
a
long
time
to
get
to
their
work,
and
so
we
started
a
Transit
microtransit
program
where
people
could
get
out
of
their
cars
and
work
there.
AH
AH
So
right
now
the
Inglewood
is
very
Transit,
rich
with
the
Crenshaw
line.
For
the
first
time
you
have
multiple
Transit
stations
here
and
when
I
first
got
in
2016
working
here,
there
wasn't
even
a
bus,
a
network
of
buses
coming
on
the
nights
and
the
weekends,
and
we
sat
down
with
Santa
Monica
big
blue,
with
Torrance
Transit,
with
Gardena
Transit,
with
Metro
to
figure
out
how
we
could
bring
more
Transit
here
in
2017.
AH
Mayor
butts
worked
with
other
members
of
the
Metro
board
and
asked
the
question:
why
can't
that
yellow
line
the
Crenshaw
line
come
directly
into
the
city
center?
Why
can't
we
just
extend
the
Crenshaw
line
directly
to
the
Hollywood
Park
area.
Metro
took
that
seriously
they
did
a
very
important
study
and
they
said
you
know
what
there's
a
lot
of
people
that
would
write
that
they
see
that.
AH
But
they
also
said
they
could
not
extend
the
Crenshaw
line
directly
here,
because
it
would
cause
significant
impacts
on
the
rest
of
their
line,
because
that
system
could
not
handle
what
happens
during
events
before
and
after
an
event,
and
this
is
an
event-based
area
that
said
they
couldn't
handle
it.
So
they
told
the
city
of
Inglewood
in
this
report.
That's
all
public,
do
what
law
do
what
LAX
is
doing,
and
you
could
see
that
little
Gray
Line
over
here
that
great
line
that's
connecting
to
the
yellow
line?
AH
They
said
do
that,
because
that
system
would
work
so
the
hand
of
the
report
back
to
the
city
and
I
am
confident
that
when
they
did
that
they
figured
that
was
the
end
of
it.
Little
did
they
know
that
when
the
city
determines
to
do
something,
they
do
it,
and
so
here
we
are.
We
now
have
a
project
that
is
designed
to
serve
the
community.
AH
Yes,
it
does
have
a
benefit
to
you
know
a
visitor
to
an
event,
clearly
we're
trying
to
get
visitors
and
and
fans
to
use
transit
to
those
events,
but
that
whole
intent
was
to
relieve
traffic
congestion
during
events
and
help
the
city
grow,
because
you
have
a
world-class
City.
It
deserves
world-class
Transportation
infrastructure
and
that's
exactly
what
the
state
is
looking
to
fund.
AH
That's
exactly
what
the
federal
government
is
looking
to
fund
and
even
your
South
Bay,
Region
and
Metro
is
looking
to
look
for
projects
that
are
winners
that
serve
communities
that
have
been
underserved
by
transit.
Now
we're
trying
to
do
this
to
get
it
done
by
the
Olympics,
but
this
is
not
just
for
the
Olympics.
It's
just
that
you
happen
to
be
on
the
world
stage,
with
opening
and
closing
ceremonies.
AH
You're
going
to
have
people
from
all
over
the
world
that
have
very
Transit,
developed
programs
and
they're,
going
to
come
they're
going
to
take
that
people
mover
out
of
LAX
they're
going
to
connect
to
the
Crenshaw
line,
and
if
they
can,
they
don't
even
have
to
get
into
a
car.
They
could
actually
get
onto
the
transits
the
People
Mover
that
we're
planning.
For
so
that's
that's!
The
goal
is
to
be
able
to
also
with
the
Sofi
stadium
and
with
the
Clippers
Arena.
AH
You've
had
35
percent
local
higher
the
jobs
created
here
once
that
Clippers
Arena
opens
and
it's
an
Intuit
Dome
opens
in
2024.
That's
when
construction
is
slated
to
start
on
this
project,
so
we
have
a
whole
Workforce
here
able
to
keep
working
in
this
community,
and
so
that's
that's
the.
Why
I
think
you
know
on
event
day
then,
with
more
and
more
events
coming
and
it's
such
a
popular
place
to
be
that
that
really
we're
trying
to
relieve
traffic
and
get
make
it
so
that
people
can
get
in
and
around
the
community.
AH
On
an
event,
and
not
be,
you
know
having
to
have
again
a
long
extended,
wait
time
getting
on
and
off
the
stadium
and
the
whole
goal
is
to
reduce
greenhouse
gas
emissions.
Improve
air
quality
is
here
in
a
community
in
the
shadow
of
LAX
under
the
flight
path,
and
so
we're
always
looking
at
air
quality
improvements
and
improving
quality
of
life.
As
your
council
member
said,
this
system
is
designed
to
achieve
11
to
12
000
people
during
the
peak
hour,
and
it
is
a
elevated,
automated
system.
AH
Very
much
like
you
see
at
airports
where
you
know
the
headways
can
go
from
two
to
three
minutes.
You
can
go
from
one
terminal
to
the
rental
car
facility
into
the
terminals
and
back
it's
designed
to
fluctuate
in
its
ability
to
serve.
You
know
large
events
or
people
that
are,
you
know,
trying
to
get
in
and
out.
The
whole
system
can
be
modulated
to
the
demand
and
it's
elevated
because
to
be
at
grade
to
be
on
the
ground,
you're
taking
out
precious
Lanes
of
traffic
to
make
the
turns
on
the
ground.
AH
You
end
up
being
in
a
trench,
because
you
can't
make
the
turns
and
you
have
greater
property
impacts
and
obviously
we
would
have
loved
to
be
underground.
But
if
that's
cost
prohibitive,
and
so
when
you're
above
just
like
that,
LAX
that
they're
going
to
be
above
we're
going
to
be
able
to
not
really
reduce
any
travel
capacity
on
the
roads
and
get
people
in
and
out.
So
if
even
if
they
were
taking
buses
today
right
now,
those
buses
that
stuck
in
the
same
traffic-
and
so
this
is
really
going
to
encourage
people.
AH
And
we
have
three
stations,
one
station
right
across
the
street
from
the
downtown
Inglewood
station,
and
then
it
would
go
down.
Market
Street
turn
on
Manchester.
We
already
and
I'll
talk
about
the
Vons.
We
are
not
affecting
the
Vons,
and
so
we'll
talk
through
about
that,
and
we
heard
you
loud
and
clear
and
from
day
one
when
we
thought
about
this
project,
we
thought
about
how
we
could
design
it
in
a
way
to
never
ever
touch
a
residential
home
of
any
kind.
And
so
this
does
not
impact
any
residential
home.
It
doesn't
take
any
property.
AH
I
know,
there's
a
lot
of
you
know
rumor
or
misinformation,
and
there's
none
of
that,
and
it
would
go
to
the
next
station
right
across
the
street
from
the
Forum
there's
the
land
that
has
already
been
acquired,
Raising
Cane's
fast
food
restaurant
was
looking
to
go
there.
We
were
collaborating
with
them,
but
then
it
turned
out
that
that
they
said
you
know
what
this
is
a
bigger
need.
AH
Let's
have
the
station
there
get
it
out
of
the
street,
get
it
away
a
from
Inglewood
Unified
and
put
a
station
there,
and
then
the
next
station
would
be
right
across
the
street
from
at
Hardy
Street
and
we
would
design
the
last
station
so
as
somebody
later
down
the
line,
if
they
ever
wanted
to
take
the
system
all
the
way
down
to
the
green
line.
It
will
not
be
me,
it
will
be.
Somebody.
AH
AH
You
know
where
repairs
could
could
take
place
on
the
vehicles,
and
this
is
fully
enclosed
facility
and
when
we
looked
originally
at
doing
it,
we
didn't
realize
the
sizing
of
it
and
we
thought
we
needed
to
be
co-located
with
the
Vons
and
we
started
working
with
them
so
that
they
could
rebuild
and
stay
right
where
they
are,
but
too
much
complication.
We
figured
out
how
to
work
with
the
three
different
technologies
that
are
bidding
on
this,
how
to
how
to
integrate
it
into
the
first
station.
AH
So
it's
a
totally
well
designed
first
station,
a
new
front
door
that
when
people
get
off
that
Crenshaw
line
and
they
come
to
Inglewood
and
they
see
an
amazing
first
station
right
at
Market
Street
that
can
have
retail
and
kiosks
and
really
amenitize
it
and
welcome
people
into
Market
Street.
That
station
can
integrate
the
the
ma
the
maintenance
facility
and
the
Vons
can
stay
exactly
as
it
is,
and
we're
very
happy
about
that.
AH
So
we
have
a
commitment
to
local
hire,
just
like
we've
seen
in
your
major
projects
and
I
see
Gerard
McCallum
here
who
helped
spearhead
a
lot
of
that
we
have
35
percent
local
hire.
We
worked
with
the
federal
government
to
understand
that
we
have
another
16
percent
commitment
to
disadvantaged
business
enterprises,
so
we're
going
to
start
working
with
the
Building
Trades
on
apprenticeship
programs
here
working
with
the
Inglewood
Unified
School
District
and
the
youth
I
was
very
lucky
to
work
on
a
project.
That's
now
opening
up
at
Vermont
and
Manchester.
AH
It
is
a
new
infrastructure,
Transportation
boarding
school
that
they're.
Finally,
opening
and
Metro
is
looking
to
develop
a
curriculum
to
help
our
youth
in
Los
Angeles
learn
how
to
get
involved
in
infrastructure,
and
you
know
that
the
city
of
La
and
the
County
of
LA
is
building
Transit
because
we
need
to
build
Transit
and
so
to
create.
That
pipeline
is
some
that's
a
program
that
we're
going
look
to
partner
with,
so
that
we
can
directly
benefit
not
just
our
local
Workforce
but
the
local
youth.
AH
We
also
went
above
and
beyond,
and
we
have
a
30
requirement
for
small
local
minority,
women-owned
and
veteran-owned
businesses
and
we're
demanding
as
part
of
the
contract,
that
all
those
bidders
actually
achieve
that
and
you're
going
to
start,
seeing
it
assuming
and
hoping
that
we
get
Federal
funding,
because
it's
all
Rises
and
falls
on
whether
we
get
Federal
funding
on
this
project.
You're
going
to
see
a
lot
of
events
happening,
inviting
you
and
inviting
the
community
to
get
involved
in
this
project
on
local
hire,
excluding
local
art
and
local
art
opportunities.
AH
Downtown
Market
Street
is
important
and
we
want
to
make
sure
that
this
is
not
a
program
and
a
system
that
whizzes
right
by
you
know
the
Market
Street
and
forgets
about
it.
So
we
started
already
having
a
conversation.
I
see
Chris
Jackson's
here
with
and
the
mayor
about
how
we
can
create
what
they
call
parking
districts.
AH
So
just
like
you
see
like
in
Pasadena
or
third
street,
or
you
know
other
cities
where
you
have
like
parking
structures,
sort
of
you
know
at
the
end
and
in
the
middle,
because
a
lot
of
people
want
to
reinvest
in
Market
Street,
but
they
have
a
hard
time
figuring
out
their
parking.
And
even
though
we
want
everybody
to
use
the
Metro
System,
we
recognize
that
some
people
are
still
going
to
be
driving
here.
But
could
they
drive
to
Market
Street?
AH
Make
this
the
place
where
people
dine
shop
play
come
before
and
after
events
really
enjoy
the
local
Artistry
and
the
and
the
local
vendors
and
restaurants,
and
also
make
a
shopping
Market
District
as
well.
So
we
have
that
in
mind.
Senator
Brown
effort
with
here.
He
gave
us
8.5
million
dollars
with
his
colleagues
at
the
state
to
do
tenant,
facade
improvements.
AH
We
set
aside
two
million
of
that
right
now
to
help
the
Fox
Theater
as
they're
thinking
about
re,
bringing
that
back
and
help
the
Fox
Theater
bring
back
that
historic,
theater
facade
and
we
have
more
monies
coming
in
to
help
improve
the
streetscape,
the
walkability
and
we're
obviously
working
with
Lewis
looking
at
bike
plans
and
pedestrian
plans
all
around.
So
it's
truly
multimodal.
AH
We
do,
unfortunately,
have
businesses
some
businesses
unless
now
because
we're
not
moving
the
bonds,
but
that
we
would
need
to
relocate.
We
have
the
experts
first
class
experts
that
know
how
to
do
that,
and
we
are
working
with.
We
have
everybody
assigned
to
all
those
small
businesses
and
really
trying
to
relocate
them
within
the
city
to
meet
their
demand.
I,
don't
know
if
any
of
you
guys
saw
the
wave
article
today.
AH
That
was
a
really
wonderful
article
about
the
sweet
red
Peach
and
we've
worked
really
closely
with
Carolyn
Plummer
she's,
exactly
the
kind
of
person
who,
when
I
talk
to
her
on
day
one
she
said
she
was
ready
to
move
for
multiple
reasons,
but
wanted
to
stay
in
Inglewood.
And
how
can
we
work
together
and
that's
the
idea
is:
how
do
we
create
something?
AH
That's
a
win-win-win,
keep
her
here
and
have
programs
that
are
even
you
know
more
than
what
we
can
get
on
federal
funds,
we're
getting
pots
of
funds
from
Senator
Feinstein
assembly
member
Tina
McKinney
gave
us
another
nine
million
dollars.
So
when
we
do
do
this
relocation,
how
can
we
do
this
in
a
way
that
they
stay
here?
Maybe
they
populate
Market
Street,
just
talk
to
a
property
owner
right
now,
who
has
a
bunch
of
storefronts,
they
can
come
back,
bring
it
back
and
really
start
to
really
start
to
invigorate
that
area.
AH
So
I
just
want
you
to
know
it's
not
easy.
We
cannot
make
an
offer
to
a
business
owner
to
move
until
we
actually
make
the
own
the
offer
to
the
land
owner.
We
have
to
go
through
a
whole
appraisal
process
and
it's
all
very
prescribed
by
federal
law,
but
I
just
want
you
to
know.
We
have
a
lot
of
support
to
be
able
to
do
this
and
I
know.
People
are
nervous
because
they
just
want
to
know
when
how,
when
now
and
it's
their
small
business
and
I
can
appreciate
that.
AH
So
we
have
done
all
the
environmental
clearances.
I
want
to
say
thank
you
to
the
city
because
they
helped
us
and
the
City.
The
the
community
at
large
wrote
letters
of
support.
We
have
a
governance
structure,
partnering
with
the
County
of
Los,
Angeles
and
metro
metro
runs
buses,
they
run
Transit
they're,
the
subject
matter,
expert
and
they're
helping
us
every
step
of
the
way
we
have
achieved:
765
million
dollars
of
other
people's
money.
AH
Every
dollar
that
we
spent
today
on
this
project
has
been
paid
for
by
other
by
by
Grant,
and
the
city
has
been
reimbursed
completely
by
the
state,
and
we
also
have
a
procurement
team,
and
we
also
have
you
know
a
real
estate
team
underway.
Here
are
the
three
bidders
three
different
qualified
teams
that
build
these
systems
across
the
world
want
to
build
here
in
Inglewood
you
have
the
people
that
are
building
at
LAX.
AH
You
have
the
people
that
did
the
BART
Oakland
system
and
you
have
people
that
have
done
other
airports
across
the
country
that
you
know
that
that
are
looking
to
build
here.
So
there's
three
teams.
They
have
they've
been
having
a
lot
of
conversation.
They
all
said
it's
getting
tight,
but
they
can
make
the
Olympics,
but
we
have
to
get
out
the
procurement
documents
in
the
summer
sometime
in
July,
for
them
to
be
able
to
make
the
Olympics
one
is
the
best.
I
can't
tell
you
because
they
don't
have.
AH
We
don't
have
all
the
bids
and
we
have
to
see
where
they
come
on
cost
so
I
they
all
are
qualified.
They
wouldn't
have
made
it
this
far
if
they
weren't
pre-qualified,
so
we're
going
to
have
to
see
once
they
put
in
their
bids.
Who
can
give
us
the
best
design?
Who
can
give
us
the
best
price
who
can
meet
all
of
our
program
requirements?
AH
But
right
now
we're
pretty
blessed
that
we
have
a
lot
of
competition,
but
well
we
won't
know
yet
we
right
now
we're
hoping
to
release
the
RFP
sometime
in
July
again
how
how
do
we
know
we're
going
to
release
this
in
July?
Well,
we've
gotten,
as
I
said,
765
million,
really
it's
865
million
that
we've
been
able
to
achieve
from
all
of
these
grants.
One
thing
you
should
know:
well,
it
looks
like
a
small
number,
which
is
the
15
million
dollars
that
we
just
got
from
the
usdot.
AH
That's
you,
Inglewood
was
number
one
of
15
awardees
out
of
755
applicants
across
the
country.
That
means
people
believe
in
you
at
the
highest
levels
of
government
and
they're.
Looking
for
this
project
to
be
successful,
you
have
a
lot
of
support.
Nobody's
support
means
more
than
your
support
and
here's
where
we
are
so
I'm
happy
to
answer
any
questions,
but
I
can
see,
there's
a
lot
more
people
that
need
to
present
so
I'm
happy
to
to
you
know
to
take
questions
also
at
another
time.
AH
A
A
What
is
really
important,
I,
think
to
to
me
and
to
many,
is
that
it
does
have
35
percent
local
hiring
it
will
it
can
if
it
goes
through
it
can
create
jobs,
jobs
for
this
community
and
remember
we
talked
about
the
quality
of
life,
and
that
is
really
important.
So
just
remember
that
that
point
yes.
A
Okay,
we're
going
to
ask
you
quickly,
go
to
the
mic
or
come
up
here,
real,
quick!
That's
a
good
question
and
Lisa
I
want
you
to
answer
that
question.
AJ
Thanks
for
that,
Pernell
Jones
Second
Avenue
question
was
really
about
30
local
hiring,
I.
Think
that's
great.
What
about
businesses
corporations
locally
to
the
city
that
can
act
as
a
trade
or
a
contractor?
Thank
you.
AH
35
percent
local
hire
means
that
all
of
these
contractors,
35
percent,
could
be
the
sub.
They
have
to
be
the
subs
that
are
local
and
so
I'm
happy
to
have
you
meet
somebody
on
my
team
and
I'll,
get
you
the
the
agreements
and
the
requirements
and
we're
going
to
have
a
whole
bunch
of
Outreach
to
get
people
to
come
so
I
want
to
make
sure
we
get
your
contact
information.
A
AH
AH
A
A
Thank
you
all
right.
Just
a
few
announcements,
I
I
saw
a
City
Commissioner
come
in
Lee
Denman,
Where,
Are,
You
Lead
stand
up
stand
up
important
to
see
commissioners.
C
A
Also
another
person
in
the
house,
Charisse
Nicholson
she's,
the
executive
director
stand
up
Charisse
for
the
CEO
of
Centinela
Hospital
Cherise.
Are
you
still
here
wave
your
hand?
Thank
you
Cherise
for
being
here.
You
know,
I
just
want
to
mention
you
know.
There's
always
great
people
in
the
community
do
a
lot
of
things.
A
So
but
a
lot
said
and
a
lot
of
questions
about
what's
happening
to
school
closures
here
in
the
city
and
I
know
in
my
district
I
believe
at
least
two
schools
have
closed,
and
so
it's
a
concern
of
mine,
I
know
the
mayor
mentioned
some
comments,
but
I've
met
with
Dr
Barnes
he's
come
to
my
office.
He's
explained
a
lot
of
what
is
happening
and
to
me
it's
really
important
for
the
community
to
have
the
correct
information
that
is
important.
So
they
know
exactly
what's
going
on
and
so
Dr
Morris
please
come
I'm
up.
A
A
Understand
that,
because
we
want
the
best
for
our
kids
and
certainly
the
quality
education,
but
this
person
I
want
you
to
hear
from
and
and
we
will
work
together,
I
know
I'm
separate
from
the
school
district,
but
I
served
on
the
board
for
many
years.
My
heart
is
still
there.
I
will
do
everything
I
can
to
help
whatever
the
issues
are
here
in
this
in
the
city
regarding
schools,
the
doctor,
Dr
Morris.
AK
Okay,
thank
you.
Thank
you.
So
much
council
member
and
it
truly
is
a
pleasure
to
be
here
this
evening,
I'm
just
going
to
start
by
sharing
with
you.
This
is
actually
my
43rd
year
as
an
educator
and
my
claim
to
fame
is
43
years.
I
have
never
taken
a
sick
day,
43
years,
because
I've
been
blessed
with
good
health
and
and
I
love.
What
I
do
I
love?
AK
What
I
do
and
I
am
committed,
I
think,
as
the
mayor
said,
I'm
going
to
share
with
you
tonight
kind
of
the
good
news
and
the
reality
of
what
is
happening
and
needs
to
happen
in
our
school
district,
because
this
is
an
amazing
School
District.
My
first
encounter
with
Inglewood
Unified
was
actually
in
1999.
AK
I
was
the
assistant
superintendent
of
instruction
in
La,
unified
and
I,
came
to
Inglewood
and
I
stole
people
right
and
left
to
get
them
to
come
to
work
for
us
in
La
unified,
because
at
that
time
Inglewood
was
The,
Shining
Light
of
the
State
of
California.
This
was
the
district
that
taught
kids
how
to
read
and
do
math
better
than
anybody
else
in
the
state.
AK
The
front
page
of
the
LA
times
at
that
time
said
the
Inglewood
miracle
and
that's
what
it
was
called
because
Inglewood
School
had
the
highest
test
scores
in
the
state,
18
000
students
in
our
schools
and
a
waiting
list
at
every
school.
So
that's
where
we're
going
to
get
this
District
back
to
and
I
believe
it
wholeheartedly.
I
want
to
just
some
folks,
ask
me
hey:
why
is
the
school
district
in
receivership
and
so
I
just
want
to
briefly
go
through
some
slides
that
kind
of
show
what
happened
about
10
years
ago?
AK
The
school
district
leadership
at
that
time
made
some
unwise
financial
decisions
and
ended
up
having
to
borrow
money
from
the
state
to
make
payroll
and
because
of
that,
the
district
was
put
into
receivership
and
in
order
to
get
out
of
receivership,
there's
a
list
of
standards
that
the
district
has
to
meet.
There's
a
155
standards
that
the
district
has
to
meet
and
get
a
score.
AK
A
minimum
score
of
4
out
of
10
in
all
155
areas
to
exit
receivership
and
I
want
to
tell
you
the
good
news
is
that
there's
only
36
areas
where
we
haven't
achieved
that
minimum
standard?
Yet
so
the
district
has
made
some
terrific
progress.
The
state
comes
once
a
year
audits,
The
District
in
these
five
areas:
community
relations
and
governance,
personnel
management,
pupil,
achievement,
financial
management
and
Facilities,
Management
and
I
listed
here.
How
many
standards
there
are
in
each
area
and
how
many
we
still
have
to
achieve.
AK
AK
So
let
me
kind
of
show
you
the
school
district's
report
card.
Is
you
look
at
this
chart
you'll,
see
kind
of
the
orange
or
red
dots
on
the
left.
That's
where
the
district
started
the
first
year
under
receivership,
and
what
you
see
in
the
blue.
Dots
are
kind
of
the
last
two
years.
You'll
see
the
progress
that
has
been
made
to
get
to
that
standard,
where
we
can
exit
receivership
and
and
you'll,
see
the
area
of
community
relations
and
governance
governance.
The
district
has
met
the
standard
good.
Now
we
have
four
areas
left
to
meet.
AK
AK
So
let
me
let
me
tell
you
folks
and
council
member
gray
quiz.
She
said
we
met,
but
she
quizzed
me.
She
asked
me
all
the
tough
questions,
particularly
in
this
area
of
what's
happening
with
school
closures,
and
this
is
kind
of
the
story.
This
chart
kind
of
lays
it
out
what
I've
provided
for
you
here
is.
AK
AK
What
are
the
largest
number
of
unmet
standards
in
the
area
of
facilities?
I
mean
I'm,
sorry
in
the
area
of
Finance
in
the
area
of
budget,
because
I'm
spending
too
much
money
on
buildings
that
we
just
can't
can't
maintain,
and
that
gets
us
to
the
next
problem,
which
is
this
just
shows
you
in
order
to
address
immediate
needs
at
our
schools.
It's
going
to
take
about
113
million
dollars
just
to
do
basic
repairs.
Last
night
we
had
somebody
in
the
community
drove
into
the
water
main
at
Woodworth.
AK
Monroe
K-8
school
water
was
out
at
the
school.
Our
plumbers
got
over
there.
They
fixed
the
water
main
problem,
replaced
the
back
flow
valve,
turned
the
water
back
on
and
guess
what
the
infrastructure
at
our
school
is
so
old
when
they
repressurized
the
system.
We
ended
up
with
two
more
leaks
throughout
the
campus
Because.
The
pipes
couldn't
handle
the
new
water
that
was
coming
through.
That's
what
happened
at
Morningside
High
School.
Many
of
you
know.
AK
Over
the
month
of
January,
we
had
to
close
the
school
because
the
gas
line
ruptured
because
we
haven't
maintained
what's
inside,
of
the
walls,
our
custodial
staff
are
amazing.
They
make
the
schools
look
the
best
that
they
can
with
the
staff
that
we
have,
but
it's
the
things
inside
the
walls,
the
pipes,
the
gas
lines,
the
roofs
that
haven't
been
maintained,
and
so
that's
what
this
last
slide
shows
you
it's
about.
113
million
of
immediate
repairs.
The
people
of
this
community
have
been
incredible
to
the
school.
AK
They
passed
a
240
million
dollar
bond
to
begin
to
fix
some
of
these
things.
Now,
if
I
look
at
what's
the
need
to
get
every
school?
Well,
not
just
immediate
repairs,
but
up
to
a
good
standard,
it's
about
a
half,
a
billion
dollars,
which
means
I,
have
about
half
as
much
as
I
need
and
I
have
too
many
schools
to
invest
that
money
in
so
fast
forward
from
there
some
of
the
projects
that
we
have
to
do
immediately,
because
it's
in
in
this
Council
District
Kelso
Elementary,
is
a
great
example.
AK
Folks,
tell
me
all
the
time
how
unpleasant
Kelso
looks
right
now
on
the
exterior.
We
have
to
do
something
about
Kelso
Elementary
overall
Kelso
Elementary
needs
about
40
million
dollars
of
repairs.
There's
a
state
standard
and
the
state
says
if
the
repairs
cost
less
than
50
percent
of
the
replacement
cost.
You
should
just
tear
it
down
and
rebuild
it.
Well,
that's
what
I
have
to
do
long
term
I
think
is
tear
down
Kelso
it'll
cost
us
about
55
million
to
rebuild
the
school.
Many
of
our
schools
are
old,
close
to
100
years
old.
AK
If
anybody
is
have
it
has
a
day
when
you're
feeling
like
super
super
happy.
Just
call
me
up
make
an
appointment
come
over
with
me
and
look
at
Kelso
or
look
at
Inglewood,
High
School,
and
you
look
at
some
of
our
schools
and
and
and
the
children
of
our
community
deserve
better.
We
are
going
to
get
there.
We
have
so
that's
kind
of
the
sad
story.
The
good
news
is
I've
met
with
our
teachers
and
said
we
have
to
begin
to
implement.
Instructional
programs
like
this
District
had
in
1999.
AK
AK
no
problem
give
us
all
the
materials
we
need.
We
want
to
do
it.
The
staff
the
teachers
in
this
can
be
in
this
school
district
are
anxious.
They're
saying
give
us
some
materials.
Give
us
the
training,
give
us
the
coaches.
We
need
give
us
assessments
every
six
weeks,
so
we
can
measure
student
learning
and
we
will
get
back
there
so
we're
starting
with
a
new
reading
program
and
a
new
math
program
at
all
of
our
schools.
AK
At
the
beginning
of
next
year,
I
say
that,
because
when
mayor
butts
talked
about
the
Renaissance
of
Inglewood,
this
school
district
was
known
throughout
the
state
as
the
very
very
very
best
and
we
are
going
to
get
there
again
I.
Thank
you.
So
much
I'd
be
happy
to
respond
to
any
questions
and
I
know.
Councilmember
gray
is
going
to
call
me
when
there's
questions
about
the
school
and
quiz
me
and
she
will
hold
me
accountable.
So
thank
you,
council,
member.
A
Thank
you,
Dr
Morris.
Don't
leave
us
here
a
couple
of
people.
We
are
going
to
take
a
couple
of
courses
because
it's
so
important.
The
first
person,
if
you
can
be
precise,
is
you
can
please.
AL
Yeah,
so
my
name
is
Richard
overturf
and
I.
Just
got
only
one
thing:
I
want
to
ask:
can
Warren
Lane
via
school
again.
AK
So
the
the
the
realistic
answer,
sir
sir,
is
very
unlikely
and
here's
why
I
have
met
with
this
Economic
Development
folks
in
the
city
of
Inglewood
and
I've
looked
we
went
from
18
000
students
back
down
where
now
we
have
less
than
8
000
about
7
600.
met
with
the
the
economic
development
folks
from
the
city
of
Inglewood.
AK
We
know
that,
what's
on
the
books
to
be
built
over
the
next
five
to
ten
years,
is
a
lot
of
Transit
oriented,
multi
story,
developments
that
have
singles
one
and
two
bedrooms:
that's
not
going
to
generate
students
for
me,
so
I
know
looking
forward,
at
least
for
the
next
10
years.
I
have
to
build
the
school
district
for
about
8
000
students.
So,
while
I
I
would
love
to
do
that,
folks,
look
at
the
chart
and
they
say
you're
using
less
than
50
percent
of
your
capacity
I
get
it
I
get
it
I
understand.
AK
You
cannot
continue
that
way.
You
have
to
close
schools,
but
as
soon
as
I
say,
this
is
the
one
I'm
going
to
close
man.
Folks
get
upset
with
me
and-
and
you
know
and
I,
keep
saying:
hey.
I'm
old
and
I'm,
tough
and
I
am
committed
to
turning
this
District
around,
and
so
when
I
have
to
give
the
hard
answers
and
say
maybe
maybe
20
years
from
now,
we
might
need
to
reopen
Warren
Lane,
but
from
what
we
see
on
the
horizon,
I
I.
Just
don't
think
that
it's
going
to
happen.
Q
Good
evening,
Dr
Morris
good
to
see
you
again,
Maya
Walker
district
one.
My
question
to
you
again
is:
will
you
stay?
We
have
had
eight
or
nine
administrators
over
the
last
decade
and
the
one
thing
that
we
need
the
most
in
our
district
to
help
with
these
schools
is
stability,
and
so
I
put
that
out
there
again
are
you
staying
so.
AK
I
I
I,
I,
I
I
could
have
paid
you
to
ask
that
question
because
folks
say
to
me:
hey
Morris,
you're
64
years
old.
Why
would
you
want
to
take
this
job
and
why
would
you
sign
a
five-year
contract
I'm
telling
you
because
I
love
what
I
do
and
so
Miss
Walker
five
years
from
now
you're
going
to
come
up
to
me
and
say:
I
challenged
you
at
councilmember
Gray's
meeting,
and
here
you
are
69
years
old
and
you're
still
going
strong.
W
Well,
Morris
from
Mars
to
Morris,
I'm,
73
years
old,
so
I'm
going
to
make
sure
that
you
stay
I
was
looking
for
the
category
that
was
dealing
with
home
training
home
school
training.
I
was
looking
for
that,
because
I
know
we
lost
a
lot
through
the
covet.
But
my
question
to
you
is
the
reason
why
I
have
such
a
passion
for
education
is
because
I'm
hearing
that
a
lot
of
our
students
are
coming
out,
graduating
from
high
school,
not
being
able
to
read,
write
and
do
arithmetic,
let
alone
be
ahead
of
the
curve.
W
When
we
talk
about
engineering
when
we
talk
about
computer-
and
so
it
bothers
me
to
hear
that
and
I
would
hope
that
Inglewood
isn't
falling
into
those
particular
shortfalls.
So
that
being
said
to
not
be
misled,
I
was
able
to
find
proposition
30
proposition
55.,
which
is
good
from
2011
to
2031.
W
billions
of
dollars
for
public
education
and
charter
schools.
I
would
like
for
you
to
look
at
that
and
see
if
you
can
find
some
money
there
from
this
state,
I
was
hoping
that
Carolyn
Fowler
was
still
his
Carolyn
Fowler
still
here.
Oh
okay!
Well,
anyway,
that
would
have
been
your
key
to
see
how
we
could
be
better
off
tomorrow
than
we
are
today
and
that's
it.
Thank
you.
Thank.
AK
You
and
I
just
want
to
make
one
brief
comment,
because
you're
gonna
see
beginning
the
actually
beginning
in
about
a
week.
You
know
we're
going
to
put
up
the
banners
of
our
high
school
graduates
around
the
three
High
School
City,
honors,
Inglewood
and
Morningside,
and
on
each
of
those
banners
you
will
see
where
our
students
are
attending
college
next
year.
I
I
am
so
impressed
the
number
of
our
kids
who
are
going
to
Stanford
and
the
UCS
and
the
CSUS,
because
we
do
have
brilliant,
brilliant
young
people
in
this
District.
AK
So
look
at
look
at
those
banners
and
you'll
see
you
don't
get
into
Stanford
unless
you're
really
super
smart,
you
don't
get
into
well,
I,
have
to
say
at
UCLA
because
that's
in
my
opinion,
the
best
but
so
yeah
so
I
got
a
couple
of
folks
with
me
in
the
audience,
but
anyway
thank
you.
I
am
so
sorry.
AM
Is
Dr
Morris
and
councilman
gray?
My
name
is
Hilda
Higgins
I'm
happy
to
hear
of
all
the
wonderful
plans
for
the
city
of
Inglewood
and
having
the
world
come
to
our
city,
blah
blah
blah
I
am
concerned
about
the
education
that
the
children
are
receiving.
AM
AM
April
the
applications
were
due.
The
end
of
April
April
1st,
like
it
was
six
schools
that
I
worked
with
given
scholarships
the
beginning
of
April
I
contacted
all
the
counselors,
reminding
them
the
applications
are
going
to
be
due
at
the
end
of
the
month
and
again,
the
last
week
of
April
I
reminded
them.
The
applications
are
going
to
be
due.
AM
This
Friday
Friday
came
I
had
nothing
from
Inglewood
High
and
I
called
the
counselor
and
said
am
I
going
to
get
anything
from
your
school
I
haven't
received
anything
yet,
and
she
said
oh
I'll
remind
the
students
next
week,
I
said
they
were
due
today
and
she
said.
Oh,
let
me
have
some
students
complete
the
application
in
the
field.
Excuse
me
in
my
fifth
period
seriously
and
the
fifth
period
she's,
going
to
give
the
application
here
fill
out.
AM
This
application
write
an
essay
and
see
if
you
get
fifteen
hundred
dollars,
because
I
had
two
scholarships
for
Inglewood
High
and
they
were
supposed
to
be
for
low-income
students.
The
obligation
she
gave
me
the
mom
was
the
teacher
and
the
father
was
a
teacher
that
does
not
qualify
for
low
income.
In
my
opinion,
yeah
yeah,
so
I
was
very
disappointed.
AM
I,
you
know
we
work
hard
in
raising
the
funds
to
give
these
scholarships
and
I
was
very
disappointed.
That
Inglewood
did
not
pull
through
and
do
what
they
were
supposed
to
do,
because
they
have
wonderful
students
that
qualified
and
they
served
this
money
to
go
to
college
and
there
was
nobody
there
to
help
them
to
do
what
they
needed
to
do.
AK
Thank
you
number
one
I
apologize.
It
shouldn't
happen
that
way,
I'm
going
to
give
you
my
card
and
then
next
time,
we'll
we'll
work
together
to
make
sure
it's
done
right.
I
would
be
remiss
if
I
didn't
also
mention
Mr
Ernesto
Castillo,
one
of
our
board
members
and
our
community
liaison
Sabrina
Miller,
who
are
two
amazing
advocates
for
the
school
district.
So
now
you
have
three
folks.
Mr
Castillo
actually
represents
that
board
area
of
Inglewood
High
School.
So
now
you
have
three
folks
who
are
going
to
give
you
their
commitment.
A
Thank
you,
Dr
Morris.
Thank
you.
Thank
you
for
the
questions.
Would
you
too
too
Community
folks
stand
up?
Please
so
folks
can
see
this
Sabrina
and
Mr
Castillo
stand
up.
Please
can
we
have
phone
numbers?
Can
we
have
phone
numbers
Dr
Morris
of
staff?
Can
you
give
some
numbers
so
folks
can
contact.
A
D
A
Thank
you
Sabrina
and
thank
you
for
being
in
again.
Thank
you,
Mr
Castillo
for
being
here
I
know
you're
a
board
member.
So
thank
you
for
what
you
do.
Dr
Morris.
Thank
you
for
that
presentation.
It
was
extremely
informative.
You
know
like
I
said
information.
Real
information
is
important.
Facts
are
important.
So
thank
you
and
please
note.
This
is
not
the
last
time
that
Dr
Morris
will
be
coming
back
so
I'm
committed.
A
When
I
have
the
next
town
hall
meeting,
he
will
come
back
with
an
update
and
update
a
status
of
where
we
are
so
just
remember
that.
So
thank
you
for
what
you're
doing
and
one
thing
that
you
said
in
your
presentation
that
our
kids
deserve
better
right.
Our
kids
deserve
better.
Whatever
is
going
on.
I
know
it's
complicated,
but
our
kids
deserve
better.
So
thank
you
again
right.
Just
one
brief
announcement,
then
we're
going
to
ask
Chris
Jackson
to
come
up
and
do
his
presentation.
A
Let's
see,
Lisa
talked
about
the
I.T
project
connector
project
and
there
is
a
business
watch
meeting
on
June
6th
at
12
P.M
at
the
creative
house.
Art
gallery
is
one
two:
two
North
Market
Street
again:
that's
it's
a
business
watch
community
business
watch,
meeting,
June
6
at
12
pm
at
the
creative
house,
Art
Gallery.
The
address
is
122
North,
Market
Street,
it's
for
all
businesses
on
Market
Street
in
surrounding
area.
Please
call
Cinder,
who
is
the
Community
Affairs
person
and
her
phone
number
is
310.
A
And
that
and
I
think
there
are
about
14
businesses
that
are
impacted
by
the
ITC
project.
In
my
in
District
One,
my
district,
all
right,
can
you
turn
the
lights
back
on,
or
is
that
that
doesn't
mean
we
have
to
leave?
Is
it.
A
All
right,
Chris
Jackson,
please
come
up
Chris
I've
known
him
for
a
long
time.
Also
he's
another
dedicated
civil
servant.
He
is
the
director
of
academic
and
Community
Development.
So
he's
going
to
give
you
a
brief
presentation,
all
the
great
projects
happening
in
this
city,
all
right,
good,
seeing.
AN
You
good
seeing
you
thank
you,
everybody
for
for
staying
hanging
in
there,
I'm
gonna,
try
and
move
quickly.
I
think
we
got
our
little
pointer
thing.
First
of
all,
let
me
I
love
my
wonderful
technology
that
corrects
my
spelling
that
should
be
g-r-a-y,
not
g.
It
just
wants
to
go
to
You
Know
The
Pastels
I'm,
Chris,
Jackson
I'm,
the
director
of
Economic
and
Community
Development
for
the
city
of
Inglewood.
AN
Many
of
you
have
seen
me
around
town,
because
I
live
here
locally
and
I'm
really
excited
about
serving
that
capacity,
certainly
excited
about
my
good
friend
prior
to
her
being
a
councilwoman
as
she
served
with
water
board
and
we
spent
a
lot
of
time
traveling
and
hanging
out
with
each
other.
So
it's
a
wonderful
opportunity.
We've
had
to
see
her
in
this
capacity
and
for
me
to
be
able
to
help
her
help.
You
do
all
the
things
you
need
to
do
as
a
as
a
district.
AN
AN
-412-5672,
so
if
you
want
to
reach
me,
that's
the
number
that
you're
going
to
be
kind
contacting
I
oversee
three
divisions.
Let
me
see
if
I
can
get
this
right,
which
button
or
there
it
is
so
I
want
you
to
be
able
to
kind
of
see
some
of
my
staff
that
work
in
in
my
department.
We
have
our
planning
manager,
Miss,
Mindy
Wilcox.
She
handles
the
planning
in
the
land
use
entitlement,
part
of
the
city.
AN
We
have
our
our
building
safety,
building,
official
Mr,
mandir
Singh,
who
handles
safe
constructions
of
structures,
and
then
we
have
Jerry
Tucker.
You
hear
Jerry's
name
be
before
you'll
hear
about
him.
A
lot
as
time
goes
along,
obviously,
because
he's
dealing
in
the
area
of
use
of
property
and
Property
Maintenance
and
he's
my
code
enforcement
manager.
AN
These
are
some
of
the
folks
that
work
in
my
department
we
get
together
quite
often,
and
we
we
really
celebrate
the
activities
that
are
going
on
in
this
city.
So
I
just
want
you
to
see
some
of
their
faces,
all
right.
What's
going
on
in
the
city,
what's
a
lot
going
on
this?
You
guys
are
on
all
that.
So
I'm
gonna
kind
of
cut
through
just
so.
You
know
some
of
the
exciting
things
who
was
here
when
the
last
time
we
had
a
theater
in
the
city.
Anybody
here
y'all
remember
some
of
y'all
man.
AN
It
was
a
drive-throughs
drive-through,
theater
and
yeah
yeah,
some
of
y'all
remember
to
drive
through
and
the
century
yeah
yeah
I
had
it
all.
You
know,
y'all
remember
that
that
was
a
long
time.
I've
been
here
for
15
years
going
on
16
years
and
there
has
not
been
a
theater
we're.
Finally,
gonna
have
our
own
theater
in
our
city,
all
right,
all
right,
we're
gonna
be
and
not
just
any
theater,
but
a
luxury
theater
you're
gonna
be
able
to
kick
your
feet
up
and
you're
gonna
order.
Folks
and
you're
gonna
be
telling
them
come
bring.
AN
My
popcorn
and
I
want
my
drink.
You
don't
have
to
stand
in
line.
They'll
come
to
you,
you're
gonna
pay
for
it,
though
you
know
you're
gonna
you're
gonna
pay
for
it.
It's
not
cheap,
but
but
but
let
me
tell
you
the
Comfort
somebody
Comforts
of
your
home,
so
it's
really
exciting
12
screens,
one
IMAX
screen,
which
is
amazing
over
1200
seats.
So
now
you'll
be
able
to
invite
your
friends.
You
know
you
don't
have
to
go
to
Torrance,
you
don't
have
to
go
to
Culver
City,
you
don't
have
to
go.
AN
You
can
actually
drive
or
even
walk
right
in
your
own
in
and
around
your
neighborhood
and
go
to
a
theater
and
then
all
the
other
amenities
that
are
coming
as
well.
So
that's
really
exciting.
That's
going
to
be
opening
this
year
this
year,
we'll
have
before
the
end
of
the
year,
we'll
have
a
theater
that
we'll
be
able
to
call
our
very
own
in
the
city
of
Inglewood.
AN
You
guys
may
have
seen
some
of
these
projects.
This
is
over
in
Hollywood
Park
as
well
in
the
theaters
in
Hollywood
Park.
This
is
the
new
Wesley
101
luxury
homes.
These
homes
are
going
anywhere
from
three
thousand
six
thousand
dollars
a
month
to
energy.
AN
They
ain't
cheap,
but
let
me
tell
you:
I'm
stood
on
the
roof,
some
amazing
views.
So
if
you
want
to
take
a
free
without
even
having
to
do
a
rental
agreement
here,
you
can
take
a
free
go
in
and
they'll
actually
show
you
around
the
facility.
You
go
up
to
the
top
and
look
and
see
do
all
that
because
it
doesn't
cost
you
anything.
Take
your
little
snack
with
you
and
stuff
it's
and
then,
like
me,
steal
some
of
their
ideas
and
take
it
to
your
house.
AN
You
know
put
that
color
palette
in
there
and
some
I'm,
not
the
only
one
that
steal
these
ideas.
Now
I
go
and
I'm
a
lucky
Lou
and
then
I
go
go
to
Home
Depot
and
buy
the
paint,
and
do
it
myself
all
right
too
fast,
cosm,
immersing
experiences
again
at
Hollywood
Park,
you
see
if
you,
if
you're
on
going
down
either
Prairie
or
you're,
going
down
Century
near
where
the
Intuit
Dome
is
you'll,
see
these
large
steel
members
sticking
up.
AN
That's
this
project
now
this
project
right
here
is
an
amazing
project,
don't
be
like
most
folks
and
live
in
the
community
and
don't
go
to
stuff
you
in
the
community
go
to
this
stuff.
Just
save
up
like
I.
Do
get
you'll,
recycle,
recycle
and
put
your
canned
money
together
and
stuff.
My
kids
have
piggy
banks
and
I
do
all
of
that
right
so
and
then
and
then
and
then
you
go
and
you
have
an
experience
in
there
this
this
is
going
to
be
amazing.
It's
one!
AN
It's
the
only
one
in
the
country
right,
so
you're
gonna
get
the
this
is.
This
will
be
a
one-off
now,
you'll
see
them
come
in
other
locations,
but
this
is
where
it
is
really
starting
right.
So
you
want
to
go
there,
and
this
is
like
huge
screen.
It's
like
being
an
IMAX,
it's
curved,
you
feel
like
you're
in
the
middle
of
it.
It's
absolutely
amazing.
So
when,
when
they
start
doing
the
grand
opening
and
tours
and
stuff
make
sure
you
make
your
way
down,
there
don't
miss
out
on
that
make
sure
you're
on
the
newsletter.
AN
So
when
the
councilwoman
is
sending
you
those
things
so
you
show
up,
and
especially
for
the
free
stuff,
y'all
go,
get
the
free
stuff
right,
because
after
the
free
stuff,
you're
gonna
have
to
pay
right,
I'm,
just
saying
I'm,
just
saying:
hey
anybody
know
that
property
right
there,
yeah
I,
know
that
property
right
there.
What's
up,
what's
a
bowling
alley
at
one.
W
AN
I
heard
the
bowling
alley
has
been,
it
was
when
that
what
was
in
a
it
was
a
club.
It
was
a
bowling
alley
at
one
time
way
back
in
the
younger
days
right
well.
Well,
we
got
that
coming
now,
so
we
got
Crown
Hops
Brewery,
one
of
the
Premier
black
owned
crab
Brewery
locations-
that's
coming
here
and
if
you
happen
to
be
a
connoisseur
of
craft
you've
heard
of
three
Weavers,
which
is
in
the
city
as
well.
AN
Now
we're
gonna
have
something
local,
that's
produced
by
brown
and
black,
and
it
has
a
flavor
to
it,
which
is
absolutely
amazing.
It's
amazing!
Now
one
of
the
things
we
talk
about
a
whole
lot
of
gentrification.
We
talk
about
gentrification,
a
lot
that
word
comes
up
so
now,
when
we
do
have
our
businesses
that
locate
in
our
city
and
develop,
and
we
got
to
support
our
Brands.
We
have
to
support
these
businesses
that
come
into
you.
You
understand
what
I'm
saying
Tracy
gets.
He
knows
what
you're
talking
about
right,
make
sure
we're
supporting
these.
AN
So
that
is
a
fantastic
opportunity.
Now,
there's
a
whole
bunch
just
stuff
going
on
y'all
we
got
Hollywood
Park
Studios
coming
we
have
a
new
300
room,
Hotel
coming
that's
going
to
be
absolutely
phenomenal.
I've
already
got
my
name
on
it.
I
already
got
my
name
on
it.
It's
going
to
be
amazing,
some
of
the
things
that
are
coming.
AN
We
have
hotels
that
are
coming
in
the
city,
new
businesses
that
are
coming
to
the
city,
we're
using
a
lot
of
the
existing
businesses
and
growing
them
as
well
within
my
department,
we're
looking
at
Street
vending
anybody
know
about
Street
vending,
a
little
Street
vending
problems
and
hot
dogs
and
all
that
stuff
we're
doing
a
new
ordinance
on
that
too.
To
try
and
curb
it
and
I
I
had
a
I
did
District
I
had
district
four.
Yesterday
you
don't
solve
all
these
problems
right.
You
don't
just
wave
your
with
legislation
and
solve
it.
AN
You
solve
it.
You
have
to
be
sensitive
to
people
who
are
struggling
and
you
have
to
educate
them.
You
have
to
give
them
Alternatives.
You
have
to
give
them
all
turns
we
talk
about.
You
know
the
pipeline
the
jail,
because
you
don't
have
an
alternative.
I
was
I,
grew
up
in
a
Ceda
program.
You
know:
I
grew
up
in
Nixon
Gardens
housing
projects.
Y'all
can't
probably
know
that
in
Nixon
Gardens
they
have
to
see
the
program
and
I
used
to
put
folks.
AN
You
know
you
work
during
the
summer
and
I
worked
at
the
senior
center
in
in
watts
and
did
all
this
kind
of
stuff
and
they
took
that
program
away.
You
know
what
all
those
guys
became.
These
are
my
my
brothers.
They
became
drug
dealers
and
yeah
and
they
broke
in
your
houses
and
stole
stuff
right.
So
you
need
to
have
Alternatives
so
be
sensitive
to
these
things
that
are
going
on
with
other
cultures.
AN
As
we
want
people
to
be
sensitive
to
our
culture,
we
need
to
be
sensitive
to
them,
so
you
don't
just
regulate
everything
away,
right,
housing
element
we're
looking
at
that
coming
approved
by
the
state
New
restrictive
fat.
How
many?
How
many
y'all
just
love
to
go
to
another
Jack
in
the
Box?
Well,
I!
Just
want
me
to
Jack
In
The
Box,
another
McDonald's,
another.
What
what?
What
at?
AN
What
y'all
don't
want
to
know
that
we
can
put
a
whole
row
of
no
so
we're
putting
some
regulations
in
there
to
put
distance
requirements,
we're
going
to
put
separation
in
there,
we're
gonna
and
we're
gonna.
Do
it
all
without
having
to
kill
local
businesses
right?
So
we
want
our
homegrown
businesses
to
have
those
opportunities,
but
we
don't
want
every
Kentucky,
Fried
Chicken
yeah
Jack
in
the
Box
y'all
know
what
I'm
talking
about
right.
We
have
we
pop
out
pop
out
now
now
I
see
some
of
y'all
in
that
pop
out
line.
AN
You
know,
let
me
see
I
see
some
of
y'all
okay,
so
online
permitting.
So
you
can
get
your
permitting
done.
Some
of
y'all
are
redoing
your
houses
and
you
don't
want
to
come
down
to
City
Hall.
You
want
to
baby
doing
on
we're
working
on
that
solar
online.
You
know
solar's
big,
a
lot
of
money
out
there
for
yo
for
those
who
don't
have
solar,
try
and
take
advantage
of
these
programs
when
you
get
stuff
for
free,
free
free,
because
you're
going
to
pay
for
it
in
the
long
term.
AN
So
right
now
take
advantage
of
those
programs.
You
could
you
could
talk
to
our
we'll
make
sure
we
get
that
stuff
over
to
you,
Gwen,
we'll
make
sure
we
get
it
to
the
councilwoman.
So
you
guys
can
see
some
of
these
programs
they're,
not
City
programs
and
state
programs,
County
programs
that
you
can
take
advantage
of
and
and
the
ones
I'm
referring
to
are
the
free
programs,
not
not
the
one,
not
the
ones
where
they
kind
of
get
you.
You
know
you
pay
80
million
dollars
for
some
silver.
That's
eight
thousand
dollars.
AN
AN
A
You
so
thank
you
Chris,
so
much
hey.
You
know
it's
great
to
give
out
good
information,
but
when
you
give
it
out
in
the
way
that
Chris
did
it's
always
really
really
interesting.
So
I
appreciate
it.
I
appreciate
everyone's
presentation,
but
thank
you
Chris.
We
have
one
question
right.
One
question
two
brief
because
I
appreciate
everybody's
thing:
it's
a
little
after
eight.
We
have
two
more
presenters,
so
please
stay
I,
appreciate
it
so
quickly.
One
question
yep.
AJ
Actually,
a
quick
comment
on
Shri
vending.
One
thing
that
I
really
love
about
our
city
here
is
the
the
cleanliness
of
it
and
Street
vending
to
me
presents
just
another
challenge,
so
I
appreciate
the
Alternatives
being
made
if
they
can
be
clustered
in
one.
D
Listen,
our
district
is
promoting
Health
Wellness
as
well,
and
so
some
of
the
staff
decided
to
start
walking.
Oh
excellent
and
walking
around
the
form.
Oh
excellent,
but
then
a
concert
was
about
to
happen.
D
There
were
tents,
oh
yeah,
there
was
trash
correct,
there
were
people
correct
and
we
had
to
start
walking
in
the
street
I
see
and
we
almost
got
hit
by
a
car.
That's
not
good!
So
I
I
don't
have
a
problem
with
the.
We
don't
have
a
problem
with
the
the
concert
component
or
anything
like
that,
but
they
were
covering
the
sidewalks
correct
and
we
couldn't
walk.
So
is
there
a
way?
I
mean.
AN
We
want
all
of
this
to
happen,
we're
already
on
it.
Actually,
we
we
have
worked
with
the
form.
They
now
have
a
different
system
that
they're
implementing
to
prioritize
access
to
the
form
and
that
minimizes
it's
going
to
even
reduce
so
probably
will
even
eliminate
the
tints
all
together
the
problem
with
the
tips
couple
things
one.
AN
They
were
on
our
property
right,
so
that
was
the
first
thing
so
and
and
the
form
did
one
of
them
on
their
propagating
with
the
liability
of
it,
and
then
we
don't
want
them
our
property
because
they
block
everything,
and
so
these
folks,
you
know,
and
they
want
the
tickets.
You
know
they're
waiting
to
the
last
minute,
try
and
get
in
there
and
stuff
and
I.
Don't
know
if
you've
ever
done
it.
Anybody
ever
do.
What
was
it?
Was
it
called
Black,
Friday
y'all
ever
stand
in
line?
Did
anybody
ever
do
that?
AN
I
did
right.
You
know
what
I
mean.
That's
kind
of
the
version.
That's
happening
at
the
Forum
for
tickets
right,
so
I
want
you
to
understand.
What's
going
on,
it's
not
homeless
issue.
It's
an
issue
of
folks
just
trying
to
get.
First,
preference
and
tickets,
so
they've
created
a
new
system
where
they're
going
to
do
it
through
the
phone
and
then
they'll
just
contact
you
and
you
got
it
and
you
won't
have
to
camp
out
all
night
and
do
that
kind
of
that
type
of
situation.
So
we
we
really
appreciate.
AN
A
You
know
I'm
so
glad
that
that
was
a
question
because
that's
a
real
big
concern
with
folks,
because
when
you
pass
a
form,
you
see
all
these
tents.
But
then,
when
you
look
at
the
folks
who
come
out,
you
know
they're,
not
homeless,
they're,
not
homeless.
So
you
really,
you
know,
figure
out
that
they're
there
to
get
early
tickets,
but
I'm
glad
that
city
is
addressing
that,
and
so,
when
we
do,
the
update
want
to
make
sure
that
is
enforced
and
we
don't
want
to
see
any
more
tents
on
the
outside
on
a
city,
property.
A
A
Right,
thank
you,
Chris
all
right,
everybody
in
this
room
probably
know
we
still
have
airplanes
flying
over
our
homes
right
all
right.
So
we
have
a.
We
have
a
young
lady,
I've
known
her
too
a
great
woman,
and
she
is
the
project
manager
for
residential,
sound
insulation,
so
Betty
Griffin,
please
come
up.
Thank
you.
Betty.
AI
Good
evening,
everyone
thank
you
for
staying.
It's
been
a
long
evening.
I'll
try
to
make
this
short,
but
I
really
do
want
to
talk
about
sound
proofing
is
what
we
do
in
my
department.
It's
called
residential,
sound
insulation,
we're
actually
the
only
Department,
that's
dealing
with
your
house
and
sound,
and
we
know
we
have
a
lot
of
noise
coming
into
Inglewood
with
all
the
great
things
we're
doing.
It
does
bring
in
an
element
of
noise,
so
I'm
concerned
that
we
don't
have
as
many
people
that
are
eligible
applying
and
in
district.
AI
I
have
108
188
residents
that
have
code
issues
that
will
not
allow
us
to
do
their
home
because
they
have
code
issues.
We
have
another
400
homeowners
that
have
not
even
responded
to
the
call
there's
another
60
that
declined
the
service.
Now
we're
talking
about
55
000
free
to
come
in
and
give
you
soundproof
windows.
So
you
don't
hear
the
noise
it
buckles
the
sound
we're
putting
in
solid
cord
wood
doors,
you're,
giving
you
free
brand
new
Air
Conditioning
Heating.
AI
I'm
appalled,
because
I've
been
here
now
20
years
than
RSI
and
I
for
the
first
few
years
it
was
going
really
really
good
and
then
in
2016,
through
18,
we
did
over
3
000
homes.
We
became
number
one
in
the
nation
of
RSI
programs
in
doing
that
many
homes
in
that
length
of
time.
So
we
were
doing
really
good
I'm
concerned
in
district,
one
which
I'm
a
member
of
district.
AI
One
I've
been
a
homeowner
in
district
one
for
38
years,
so
I'm
concerned
about
district
one,
not
having
the
support
that
we
need
to
get
all
these
homes
sound
fruit,
so
I
don't
want
to
bore
and
go
over
a
whole
lot
of
stuff
about
something
I'm
just
going
to
give
you
the
bear
facts
that
we're
the
ones
that
are
coming
in
giving
you
free
service
to
get
your
home
insulated.
Now,
if
you
have
code
issues,
get
it
fixed
if
you're,
not
in
the
Contour
I,
can't
help
you.
AI
AI
I
can't
swap
it
out
and
so
not
to
take
up
too
much
more
time,
because
the
hour
is
late
and
I
do
appreciate
you
guys
staying
this
long,
but
I
will
want
anybody
that
want
to
know
where
you
are.
What
you're
doing
I
will
tell
you
this
there's
about
a
hundred
units
that
will
be
completed
in
your
District
by
the
first
of
the
year
and
if
you
know
the
property
over
there
right
behind
the
99
cent
store
that
big
Farm
Park
we're
doing
136
units
over
there.
AI
We
have
already
completed
probably
about
70
of
them
and
it's
going
to
and
then
they
went
on
and
built
35
more
units
they
put
in
a
swimming
pool.
They
upgraded
the
property.
It
really
is
beautiful
over
there.
So
I'm
encouraged
that
we
have
something
going
on
in
district.
One,
that's
very
positive,
so
I
would
just
encourage
you
if
you
know
neighbors
that
haven't
gotten
their
home
done.
Please
encourage
them
to
call
us,
it's
all
free,
here's,
the
ad
and
my
phone
number
and
you
cannot
have
joy
on
which
stand
up
Joy.
AI
So
you
can
see
her
too
after
this
after
this
little
meeting.
But
the
number
here
is
310
412
-5289,
so
I'll
take
some
questions.
I
don't
want
to
take
the
hour
up
too
much.
I
just
wanted
to
kind
of
give
you
an
overview.
Most
of
you
hear
how
many
here,
just
by
a
show
of
hands,
have
had
your
home
done,
amen
all
right.
AI
We
did
something
right
so
tell
your
neighbors
about
it
and
if
you're
not
in
the
Contour
I,
can't
really
do
anything
about
that,
but
the
ones
that
are
in
the
Contour
that
has
not
gotten
it
done.
Please
see
me.
Maybe
we
can
work
on
something
that
you
may
not
know
we
can
do,
but
maybe
we
can
okay,
so
I'm
gonna
kind
of
cut
it
off.
If
you
have
questions
you
can,
if
anybody
have
a
question
that
you
want
to
ask
me,
you
can.
Q
Thank
you,
Miss
Betty,
for
being
here.
My
name
is
Maya
Walker
I'm
on
Third
Avenue
I
have
measured
the
decibels
of
the
airplanes
flying
over
my
house.
They
are
through
the
charts
they
meet.
The
standard
I've
been
told
four
times
that
my
house
doesn't
qualify
by
one
block
right,
I,
don't
believe
well
and
then
lawa
says
that
they
redrew
the
lines
I
think
sometime
in
2020
and
my
house
still
doesn't
qualify
so
I'm
not
really
sure
what
the
rest
of
the
folks
are
waiting
on
to
get
their
house
done.
Q
But
my
house
is
desperately
in
need
and
if
we're
talking
about
truly
helping
the
residents
at
some
point,
we
need
to
start
renegotiating
with
lawa
to
draw
the
lines
in
a
way
that
allow
all
of
us
to
have
some
Equitable
service
in
our
area,
because
at
two
o'clock
in
the
morning
I
hear
the
747s.
Q
AI
You
for
that,
and
and
I'll
just
say
this
on
that
subject
matter
today,
we
have
to
follow
their
guidelines
because
they're
footing
the
bill
and
if
they
say
it's
not
in
the
Contour,
it's
not
in
the
counter.
I
can't
change
the
contour
line,
but
what
we
can
do
is
petition
to
them
to
re,
go
out
and
read
redo
this.
Let's
look
at
this
again
in
a
different
manner.
AI
If
I
had
my
way,
everybody
in
the
whole
city
of
Inglewood,
because
it's
a
it's
only
a
non-nine
radius
City
everybody
in
here
should
be
able
to
get
it
because
when
the
weather
gets
inclement
like
it
can
get,
the
pilot
has
the
ability
to
fly
wherever
he
needs
to
fly
and
so
sometime
it
comes
over
areas
that
are
not
in
the
Contour,
but
they
hear
the
plane.
So
I
I
feel
your
pain.
AI
I
understand
what
you're
talking
about
when
you
say
I'm
only
one
block
how
I
feel
really
bad
when
I
have
to
tell
someone
someone
across
the
street
got
it,
but
I
can't
get
it
and
let's
not
talk
about
the
people.
That's
at
the
end
of
the
block
and
this
house
gets
it
in
the
next
door.
Neighbor
cannot
get
it
so
I
understand
that
and
I'm
working
on
some
things
to
try
to
alleviate
some
of
that,
but
just
kind
of
be
patient,
supported
and
when
I
need
you
I'm
gonna
need
you,
okay,
if.
AJ
You
have
questions
just
no,
yes
and
I
I
think
you
were
just
talking
to
my
situation
when
you
just
said
that
last
item
again
similar
situation
out
of
the
contour
line,
but
directly
across
the
street,
somehow
they're
in
it,
even
though
they're
not
in
it,
but
I.
Guess
it's
on
the
corner
anyway,
if
there's
any
other
ways,
we
can
really
look
at
this
open
it
up
to
other
members
of
the
city,
particularly
in
district.
One
really
appreciate
that
I've
been
talking
to
all
levels
of
government
I
have
no
support.
AJ
Y
I
think
that
the
gentleman
here
and
the
young
lady
said
exactly
what
I
wanted
to
say.
So
I
won't
take
up
your
time
talking
anymore
because
seem
like
I'm
out
of
the
lane,
so
I.
AO
A
AP

AI
Call
the
office
and
let
me
look
at
it,
I
can't
just
off
the
top.
Tell
you
but
I
can
look
at
the
map
and
see
where
you
are.
We
can
look
right
here
and
I
can
tell
you
tonight.
Can
you
give
your
phone
numbers?
The
number
again
is
area
code,
310,
412
-5289,
and
anyone
that
answered
the
phone
will
be
able
to
tell
you
if
you're
eligible
I.
Thank
you
guys
for
all
the
oh.
Have
one
more
go
ahead.
H
Hi
Betty
just
want
to
ask
you
putting
in
all
these
windows.
We
can't
find
a
window
cleaner.
Nobody
takes
out
double
pane
windows,
so
my
husband
and
I
remember
how
they
put
it.
We
took
one
out
and
God
forbid.
It
took
us
like
two
hours
to
try
to
get
it
back
in
I
have
called
like
10
window
cleaners
and
no
no
one
cleans
them.
AI
Call
my
office
and
I'll
give
you
who
to
contact
to
clean
your
windows,
also
we'll
be
sending
out
a
newsletter
on
a
quarterly
basis
and
we're
going
to
list
companies
that
we
know
that
can
do
those
windows
and
do
it
properly.
You
want
it
done
it
properly,
and
I
would
suggest
that
you
get
a
maintenance
contract
that
comes
in
twice
a
year
to
clean
your
windows
and
everything
and
your.
AI
A
A
A
A
-5289
any
other
questions
please
call
Betty
I
do
want
to
mention
that
there
I
have
a
newsletter.
That's
coming
out.
Gwen
is
grading
the
newsletter
in
that
newsletter.
We
need
to
have
the
phone
numbers
of
the
different
departments
that
were
here
tonight
so
stay
tuned
for
the
newsletter.
It
will
have
other
information
in
it
also
all
right.
AQ
Good
evening,
first
and
foremost,
heartfelt
thank
you
for
staying,
because
I
am
usually
the
one
that
has
to
speak
to
two
people
in
the
chair.
It's
the
church
exit,
so
my
name
is
Sabrina
Barnes
I'm,
the
director
of
parks,
recreation
and
Community,
Services
I
get
the
pleasure
of
leading
the
parks.
Recreation
community
Department,
which
consists
of
three
divisions.
I
have
some
of
my
staff
here
tonight.
This
is
our
house
and
they
say
when
you
have
guests
you
let
them
go
first,
so
it's
okay,
I'm
excited
to
be
here
to
to
land.
AQ
This
Plane
I
have
Jeffrey
accomodo.
Here
he
actually
is
here
at
the
senior
center.
He
serves
as
our
transportation.
Specialist
I
have
Derek
Ibarra.
Who
is
our
activities
coordinator
here
at
the
senior
center
and
Theresa
Estrada
who's,
my
Recreation
superintendent,
who
I'll
tell
you
more
about
as
I
move
along
here's.
My
contact
information
I
will
put
it
back
on
the
screen
at
the
very
end.
If
there
are
any
questions,
so
you
will
get
to
see
it
again.
AQ
So
our
department
consists
of
three
divisions:
the
Sparks
Administration
Recreation
and
cultural
Human
Services,
and
then
I
also
have
some
Capital
Improvements.
That
I
want
to
tell
you
about.
So
you
know
what's
going
on
in
the
city
of
Inglewood,
with
regards
to
Parks
and
Recreation,
so
first
under
Parks
Administration,
that
includes
our
graffiti
abatement
section
and
park
maintenance.
So
if,
in
your
neighborhoods
you're
driving
down
the
street,
you
happen
to
see
some
graffiti
on
a
utility
box.
It's
on
your
curb.
AQ
It's
not
a
public
building
call
our
office,
the
graffiti
abatement
office
to
report
graffiti
you'll
call
310-412-8739
or
you
can
submit
it
via
email
at
graffiti
cityofinglewood.org.
Now
it's
our
goal
to
get
that
graffiti
down
in
24
hours.
We
usually
make
that
Mark.
If
we
don't
it's
because
there
may
be
something
else
or
upticks
somewhere
else,
but
do
know,
we
will
get
there.
Also.
My
department
is
responsible
for
Park
maintenance,
maintenance
of
our
parks
and
also
the
majority
of
the
Green
Space,
the
medians
and
other
things
that
you
see
throughout
the
city.
AQ
I
then
have
our
Recreation
division.
That
is
all
things:
Recreation,
Leisure
cultural
events
and
enrichment
classes.
Special
Events
sports
and
activities
everything
from
our
early
childhood
development
programs,
where
you
see
our
little
babies
here
on
Friday
we're
going
to
graduate
another
class
of
preschoolers.
We
have
had
our
program
in
place
for
over
40
years
and
we
actually
have
now.
Students
who
have
graduated
from
college
have
families
of
their
own,
who
are
bringing
their
programs
back,
and
it's
really
exciting
to
be
able
to
impact
the
lives
of
our
youngest
special
events.
AQ
If
you've
ever
come
to
our
Martin
Luther
King
Day
celebration
just
this
past
week,
Memorial
Day
that
also
comes
out
of
the
Parks
and
Rec
Department.
Naturally,
when
you
hear
Recreation,
you
may
think
of
bats
and
balls
and
basketballs
and
footballs.
Of
course,
that
is
us
too,
and
then
we
have
Senior
Services
our
Human
Services
Division,
which
is
all
all
things
in
this
building
and
outside
the
building.
As
a
part
of
that,
we
have
our
elderly
nutrition
program.
We're
in
this
very
space
we
serve
daily
for
seniors,
congregate,
slash
hot
meals.
AQ
We
also
have
a
program
that
delivers
meals
to
homebound,
seniors
and
persons
with
disabilities.
During
the
covet
pandemic,
we
shift
totally
to
home,
delivered
meals,
so
every
senior
that
we
would
normally
serve
in
the
building
we
took
their
meals
to
them
in
their
home,
as
well
as
those
that
we
already
serve.
That
program
is
open
to
seniors.
You
would
just
need
to
call
you
would
be
connected
to
our
nutrition
program
office
and
they
would
get
you
signed
up
in
our
senior
programs.
AQ
They
are
funded
by
the
county
with
support
from
the
city,
but
there
are
no
income
requirements,
so
you
don't
have
to
be
a
senior
that
makes
two
dollars
a
month.
You
know
sometimes
seniors
are
property
rich
and
then
are
not
necessarily
able
to
take
care
of
all
of
the
needs
in
their
homes.
You
know
we
can
link
you
to
services
and
help
get
you
a
meal.
We
also
provide
transportation
services.
You
may
see
the
light
blue
shades
of
white
bust
that
drives
throughout
the
city,
that's
our
Paratransit
vehicle,
and
then
we
have
other
programs.
AQ
AQ
I
told
you
just
a
little
bit
about
what
we
do
this
coming
week
or
in
the
week
this
coming
week
or
possibly
the
week
after
our
community
information
guide
will
hit
your
homes,
and
so
this
is
the
book
that
includes
all
things.
There's
a
copy
right
there,
all
things
about
Parks
and
Rec.
We
have
information
about
our
libraries.
There
are
valuable
numbers
in
there
there's
a
who
to
contact
list
in
terms
of
the
various
departments
it's
in
that
book,
but
you
didn't
come
here
for
all
of
that.
You
want
to
know.
AQ
Are
my
pickleball
players
here?
Okay,
so
at
Darby
Park
we
will
be
renovating
the
restrooms.
The
city
council
has
placed
an
emphasis
on
improving
and
upgrading
our
parks.
There
had
been
a
time
when
there
was
no
address
of
infrastructure
and
upgrading
of
facilities,
but
I
hope.
As
you
look
around.
You
are
seeing
improvements
right
now.
We're
concentrating
a
lot
of
our
efforts
at
Vincent
Park,
but
we're
also
spreading
the
love
around
so
shortly.
You
will
see
us
begin
renovation
of
one
of
the
restrooms
at
Darby
Park.
AQ
So
we've
heard
all
of
you.
We
recently
accepted
bids
for
the
replacement
of
the
walking
tracks.
So
we
expect
to
go
to
council
to
award
that
contract
within
the
next
30
to
45
days.
Trust
me.
We
have
the
bids,
we're
vetting
the
vendor.
We
are
developing
the
staff
report
and
then
once
we
go
to
council,
we'll
award
the
contract,
and
then
you
can
look
forward
in
the
coming
months.
AQ
Once
we
get
it
awarded
we'll
be
able
to
announce
the
time
frame
for
it,
but
do
know
that
we
heard
you
and
we're
going
to
completely
replace
it
we're
going
to
deal
with
some
of
the
drainage
issues
that
causes
the
separation
and
the
buckling.
So
we
heard
you
we
also
for
our
pickleball
players,
softball
or
anyone
that
wants
to
be
in
the
park
at
night.
But
right
now
you
cannot.
We
had
an
active
vandalism
which
basically
stripped
our
light
poles.
AQ
So
temporarily
we
have
some
lighting
issues
in
the
park,
but
we
are
partnering
with
our
Public
Works
Department
councilmember
gray
has
told
us,
and
we
know
it
is
a
priority,
so
we're
working
to
get
those
lights
back
up
as
soon
as
possible
because
of
the
age
and
condition
of
the
polls.
It's
not
a
simple
fix,
so
we
have
to
do
a
major
Capital
Improvement
project.
Also
in
district
one
is
now
a
portion
of
Edward
Vincent,
Park,
restrooms,
restrooms,
restrooms
you'll,
hear
us
talk
about
restrooms
a
lot,
because
one
thing
you
can't
enjoy
the
park.
AQ
If
you
haven't
been
to
the
park,
please
stop
by
we've
had
a
number
of
charitable
Partnerships,
our
most
recent
one.
We
celebrated
the
renovation
of
the
ball
diamonds
at
Edward
at
Edward,
Vincent
Parks,
so
the
city
of
Englewood
actually
has
its
own
little
Dodger
Stadium.
So
if
you
go
look
you
can
see
the
SK.
You
can
see
the
scoreboards
when
you
pass
down
Florence
it's
a
beautiful
facility.
We
look
forward
to
programming
for
adults
and
children
high
schoolers,
it's
going
to
be
wonderful.
AQ
The
basketball
courts
were
recently
to
be
done
by
Pepsi
and
we
have
a
pump
track
coming
if
you've
been
in
the
park,
and
you
want
to
know.
What's
been
behind
that
green
fence
for
all
this
time
it's
called
the
pump
track.
We
are
going
to
be
the
only
city
that
has
one
of
this
caliber.
We
actually
will
have
a
family
track
and
the
world
I'll
call
it
the
championship
tracks,
because
we
plan
to
have
competitions
here
in
the
coming
year.
What's
a
pump
track.
AQ
Well,
it's
a
series
of
bumps
and
berms
that
you
ride
your
bike
on
and
you
you
Propel
with
the
motion
of
your
body,
not
necessarily
with
pedaling.
We
already
know
it's
going
to
be
a
great
success
because
we're
not
even
open
yet
and
we
can't
keep
the
kids
out
of
the
fence.
So
that's
our
biggest
charge
right
now
to
keep
them
out
until
we
get
all
the
work
done.
We
hope
to
have
that
completed
by
Late
July
that
will
be
opening
up
there.
AQ
The
mayor
mentioned
earlier
tennis
right
before
the
pandemic,
a
little
bit
we
refurbished
the
tennis
courts
there.
We
have
an
awesome
tennis
program
at
that
Park
tennis,
lessons
are
available.
You
can
find
out
the
details
in
the
community
information
guide
which
talks
about
the
classes
and
activities
how
to
register
on
our
website
if
you're
having
problems
you're,
welcome
to
come
to
our
office
or
we'll
call
and
walk
you
through
the
registration
process.
AQ
So
I
was
intent
on
Landing
the
plan
quickly.
I
know
I
spoke
a
little
fast.
So
if
there's
anything
you
need
me
to
repeat,
I
will
be
here
here
are
my
numbers
again
I
appreciate
you
and,
on
behalf
of
my
team,
we're
so
glad
that
you
got
a
chance
to
visit
our
home.
A
Cheers?
That's
wonderful
all
right
great!
Thank
you,
Sabrina
outstanding
presentation.
Thank
you.
So
much
lots
of
things
going
on
in
this
city
and
I
was
kind
of
walking
through
the
crowd
and
folks
are
saying
great
news,
great
information.
You
know
just
wonderful
what
they're
hearing
tonight,
because
you
really
need
to
know
what's
going
on
in
your
city,
you
know
before
I
forget
this
event
is
being
live
streamed,
so
it
is
on
our
website.
A
Thank
you
to
our
video
team
over
here,
where's
our
video
team,
Carlos,
and
and
and
is
it
names,
Thomas,
Carlos,
Katie
and
Lonnie.
Thank
him
again,
they're
fantastic!
Thank
you
guys.
So
much
and
I'm
sure
it
will
be
a
reoccurring,
information
or
video
that
you
can
go
back
and
re-look
at
it.
So
I
wanted
to
make
sure
one
of
the
things
that
I
said
to
the
community
when
I
was
before
I
became
council
person
is
that
transparency
is
very
important
to
me
and
I.
A
Think
you
know,
bringing
information
to
folks
and
letting
them
know
what's
going
on
in
the
city
is
very
important
because
it
builds
trust
right.
It
builds
trust,
and
so
that's
very
important
to
me.
You've
heard
me
talk
about
the
you're
having
your
voice
and
so
I
think
this
is
a
good
example
hearing
from
what
the
services
are
brought
provided.
Also
hearing
from
you,
your
voice
and
me
representing
you
on
the
city
council,
so
my
voice
on
those
days.
A
Are
there
any
questions
or
comments
before
we
close?
Yes
put
me
to
be
held
here.
A
Her
question
was:
was
such
a
subsequent
meetings
be
held
here?
There
will
be
subsequent
meetings
for
sure
and
hope,
and
hopefully
here
I
think.
The
fact
that
we
had
such
a
large
crowd
is
over
a
hundred
people
here
that
this
is
the
place
we
need
to
have
it.
So
so
thank
you
for
bringing
that
up
and
I'm
committed
to
doing
just
that
couple.
Other
questions.
Yes,.
AR
Popular
sport
that
combines
elements
of
tennis,
badminton
and
ping
pong,
and
it's
one
of
the
fastest
growing
Sports
around
the
nation
Darby
park,
has
received
many
requests
from
pickleball
players
to
update
the
pickleball
experience
at
Darby
Park.
We
want
to
also
thanks
councilman
Padilla,
who
was
very
instrumental
in
getting
North
Park
established
for
us.
We've
been
playing
pickleball
since
2018,
with
one
pickleball
Ambassador
Kelvin
Hodgkins,
who
has
done
a
fabulous
job
on
getting
pickleball
started.
AR
Although
we
continue
to
utilize
North
Park
and
we
still
play
at
our
Darby
Park,
we
have
grown
outgrown
our
resources
and
we
have.
We
are
coming
asking
to
grow
some
more
every
day
that
we
have
to
play.
We
are
hosting
about
60
people
to
play.
We
are
going
outside
or
outside
of
our
community
and
we're
winning
tournaments
everywhere
and
coming
back
to
our
community
to
celebrate.
Well,
why
won't
Inglewood
be
on
The
Cutting
Edge
of
pickleball,
like
everything
else,
we've
on
The
Cutting
Edge
of
football,
we're
on
The,
Cutting
Edge
of
Base
basketball?
AR
AR
For
providing
the
resources
to
do
it,
but
we
need
more
we're.
Looking
for
permanent
courts,
we've
looked
at
the
place
like
the
water
tank
up
on
top
of
90th
and
Crenshaw.
How
about
by
the
stadium?
There's
lots
of
land
and
they've
taken
our
parking,
so
we
don't
have
anywhere
to
park
to
accommodate
the
stadium
and
their
needs,
so
we're
just
asking
for
things
like
net,
and
we
also
want
to
thank
Sabrina.
Who
is
instrumental
in
helping
us
get
this
done,
but
we
need
more
help.
AR
A
You
for
those
comments
and
for
those
that
request
pickleball
is
fast
moving
becoming
extremely
popular.
My
neighbor
plays
it
all
all
the
time
at
Darby
Park.
In
fact,
there
was
an
issue
with
the
lighting
over
there,
which
I
talked
to
Sabrina
about
it
right
because
the
cables
or
something
were
taken
away.
I
hate
the
word
stolen,
but
it's
stolen
and
and
so
I
immediately
called
Sabrina
I
know
it's
a
long-term
process
for
it,
because
it
it
it's
more
than
just
simple
purchasing
wires.
A
M
Quickly,
yes,
I
just
want
to
add
to
that.
Since
the
lighting
is
out-
and
you
said,
it'll
take
a
long
time,
is
it
possible
to
get
a
generator
in?
Let's.
AE
Mike,
the
City
Council
meetings
right
now
are
pretty
much
in
the
evenings,
unlike
our
our
cities
that
are
close
by
like
Torrance
and
Carson,
they
offer
two
separate
meetings.
I
know
we
initially
are
doing
the
meetings
primarily
for
seniors
I
find
that
interesting.
They
only
represent
about
12.6
percent
of
the
community.
64.9
percent
is
everyone
else,
and
so
I'd
like
to
propose
us
doing
meetings
two
meetings
a
day,
so
we
have
meetings
in
the
afternoons
for
the
seniors
and
we
have
meetings
in
the
evenings,
like
our
sister
cities,
all.
AE
Fast
sound,
the
sound
the
sound.
A
Let
me
address
that
first
and
go
to
the
second
one
of
the
things
I
heard
when
I
was
talking
to
the
community
is
that
they
want
evening
meetings
that
was
loud
and
clear
to
me
and
so
I
totally
support
in
at
least
an
evening
meeting
right,
because
we
do
meet
during
the
day
at
two
o'clock:
every
Tuesday,
every
Tuesday
and
we
do
have
people
in
this
community
who
work
right,
and
so
they
should
have
an
opportunity
to
come
and
see
their
city
government
work.
A
Your
elected
officials,
so
I
have
talked
to
at
least
one
of
my
colleagues
because
they
have
to
be
careful
of
the
brown
act,
but
I
totally
support
it.
And
if
that's
the
continue
to
worship
the
community,
it
should
be.
It
should
be
heard
by
the
full
Council
I
would
from
this
community.
If
that's
what
you
believe
right
and
so
but
I
do
support
that,
because
I
do
believe,
you
know
open
access
to
government
and
that's
part
of
it.
Let's.
AE
AE
My
last
thing
is
the
noise
levels
coming
from
the
sofa
stadium
in
the
form
I
was
reading
through
some
of
the
ordinances.
California
is
very
strict,
with
these
ordinances
really
around
our
quiet
and
enjoyment,
and
some
of
the
noise
levels
that
the
council
people
have
decided
on
and
voted
on,
really
are
very
disturbing
and
so
I'd
like
for
us
to
revisit
that
and
kind
of
look
through
it.
There
may
be
some
changes
that
we
need
to
be
made.
AE
Ours
are
very
contrary
to
Los
Angeles,
which
is
the
bigger
city,
they're
they're,
very
one-sided
that
are
that
are
for
the
community
for
the
the
entertainment
complexes,
people
like
the
Pacific,
Amphitheater,
Hollywood
Bowl,
they
were
sued
and
they
lost
so
we
do
have.
We
have
resources
guys
we
don't
have
to
put
up
with
it
put
up
with
the.
A
Noise
all
right,
thank
you
for
the
question,
because
civil
rights
stadium
is
not
in
my
district,
but
the
noise
travels
into
my
district,
so
you're
right,
I
know
that
Larry
is
the
chair
of
the
Planning
Commission.
So
you
certainly
can
talk
to
him
a
little
bit
about
it
to
see
what
that
means.
A
I,
don't
know
if
that's
the
right
area,
but
certainly
I'm
sensitive
to
what
you're,
saying
and
I'll
try
to
see
where
that
fits
into
who
I
will
follow
it
up
with,
but
at
the
moment
talk
to
Larry
about
it
in
Larry
Springs
there
and
I
will
visit
it.
Also
and
again,
when
we
meet
again,
we
can
talk
about
