In the second installment of Let's Chat with City Clerk Aisha Thompson, the City Clerks holds conversation with District 2 Councilman Alex Padilla, District 3 Councilman Eloy Morales, IUSD County Administration Dr. James Morris and Owner of 1500 Sound Academy, Grammy Award-winning Producer, Larrance Dopson.

Great food, great people, and a wonderful park create the perfect trifecta for a great day in Inglewood. Looking back at the 8th Annual District 2 Picnic and Chili Cook-Off, we're reminded of the fantastic moments we shared as a community. A heartfelt thank you to all of our sponsors, community partners and volunteers who made this moment possible.

Over 1000 backpacks were assembled and gifted to Inglewood students this past weekend. Special thanks to all of our community partners and Councilman Alex Padilla for putting this incredible event together.

Making sure our four-legged friends are healthy and happy today at the annual Pet Wellness Clinic in District 2! Hosted by Councilman Alex Padilla with the support of LA County Animal Care Control, LA County Animal Care Foundation, and Wallis Annenberg Pet Space, our pets received free exams, vaccines, microchips, and more!

Councilman Alex Padilla in partnership with Kids in Need Foundation, Inglewood Unified School District, The Los Angeles Clippers, and Gifts For Good gathered to build backpacks for Inglewood students as they prepare for the upcoming school year. The City will be giving away these backpacks Saturday August 05, 2023 at Centinela Elementary from 9am to Noon. See you there!
