From YouTube: City Council Meeting (2/6/2023) Part 1
Description
Due to technical difficulties this meeting was recorded in 2 parts and a portion of the meeting was not recorded
A
Let
us
pray
good
and
gracious
assembly
father
that
the
tragedies
that
are
happening
across
the
world
this
day
it
would
be
with
the
families
that
are
suffering
Lord,
would
just
ask
you,
let
you
give
him
the
peace
and
the
comfort
that
that
surpasses
all
understanding
Lord.
We
also
thank
you
for
the
gift
of
life
and
for
those
newborns
that
are
coming
into
the
world
and
have
to
face
the
trials
and
tribulations
of
this
world
Lord
be
with
him
and
guide
them
Lord.
A
C
We've
emotion
and
a
second,
a
new
discussion,
seeing
that
on
paper
signified
by
saying
any
of
those
motion
carries
city
council
announcements,
that's
golden.
Thank.
B
You
mayor
first
and
foremost,
I
want
to
congratulate
the
Donna,
the
26.2
Madonna
National
marathon
and
half
marathon,
which
was
held
this
past
weekend.
But
the
marathon
and
half
marathon
was
held
here
in
Jax.
Beach
I
had
the.
B
And
I
say
that,
in
with
a
with
a
little
smirk
of
running
the
half
marathon,
I
I'm,
not
very
fast
but
I
finished,
and
it
was
a
wonderful
event.
I
have
to
say
our
three
beaches.
Communities
are
amazing
to
I.
You
know
when
you're,
when
you're
miserable
mild
over
12
and
people
are
cheering
and
saying
you
can
do
it.
B
It's
it
helps
push
you
over
the
finish
line,
but
I
I
wanted
to
mention
that
I
spoke
to
the
executive
director
of
the
Donna
foundation
and
she
said
that
more
than
5
000
participants
from
all
50
states
and
10
countries
were
part
of
the
event
this
weekend
and
the
fundraising
has
generated
250
000
so
far,
I
think,
there's
still
fundraising
and
next
year
the
17th
event
will
be
February,
2nd
through
the
4th
so
mark
your
calendars.
They
loved
doing
the
event
here
in
Jax,
Beach
and
I.
B
I
just
want
to
mention
one
thing:
when
I
was
running
in
Atlantic
Beach,
somebody
had
something
set
up
alongside
the
road
with
some
statistics
about
breast
cancer,
because
this
benefits
breast
cancer
patients
and
the
one
that
really
stood
out
to
me
is
85
percent.
Of
women
who
are
diagnosed
with
breast
cancer,
don't
have
family
history,
breast
cancer
so
get
your
mammograms
and
then
the
other.
A
couple
of
other
announcements.
B
I
want
to
encourage
you
to
mark
your
calendars
for
Wednesday
February
22nd
at
7
pm,
beaches,
watches
hosting
at
Jacksonville
mayoral
candidate
Forum,
with
all
the
Jacksonville
mayor
candidates
and
yes,
they
were
S2
and
the
Forum
will
be
at
The
Vineyard
Church,
which,
which
is
the
Old
Atlantic
theater
on
Atlantic
Boulevard,
and
the
focus
of
the
Forum
is
going
to
be
asking
them
about
issues
that
are
important
to
the
beaches.
We
hear
them.
B
We
hear
the
candidates
talk
a
lot
about
Jacksonville
issues,
but
we
want
to
hear
about
their
thoughts
on
beaches,
issues
and
then
last,
but
certainly
not
least,
just
wanted
to
mention
that
one
of
our
council
members,
former
council
members,
leap
up
his
wife
Darla
passed
away
recently
and
just
want
to
ask
you
all
to
keep
Lee
in
your
thoughts
and
prayers
because
they
were
married.
I
I
should
have
looked
this
up,
I
think
it
was
over
60
years
and
I.
B
D
Just
a
couple
good
evening:
everyone
Jacksonville
Beach
Police
Department.
He
continues
to
gentleman
Jefferson
job,
taking
legal
guns
off
the
street
criminals
and
dogs
which
are
not
needed
here
at
the
beach
or
kudos
to
them,
and
then
I
do
want
to
highlight
one
of
the
shopping
centers
here
here
in
Jacksonville
Beach.
That
was
built
right
around
the
last
market
crash
in
2008
and
it's
been
busy
and
I
think
all
the
parcels
in
there
are
completely
booked.
When
you
wrestle.
D
Two
new
restaurants
just
went
in
the
Cuban
Bistro
and
Lone
Wolf,
who
is
a
dear
friend
of
mine,
who's
the
owner.
But
if
you
do
go
make
sure
you
go
with
an
empty
stomach,
you
know
you
get
a
food
come
on,
but
kudos
to
that
shopping
center
is
thriving.
Finally,
because
it
was
empty
for
a
while.
So
congratulations
to
them.
C
And
everyone
in
there.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
I
just
wanted
to
add
something
just
watch
for
and
also
me
far.
We
hope
you
just
watch
on
one
night,
followed
by
lunch
with
me
far
for
the
opportunity
to
be
alongside
the
other
two
beaches
Mayors
to
present
the
state
of
the
Cities.
We
have
a
chamber
one
coming
up,
it's
not
until
April,
though,
but
it's
always
a
good
time
to
touch
base
with
our
citizens
and
I
know
the
beaches
watched.
D
C
Like
she
just
run
a
half
marathon,
so
that
was
really
impressive.
This
was
a
new
route
for
them.
They
went
ran
the
same.
If
you
were
doing
the
full
Marathon,
you
basically
say
ran
the
same
route
twice.
So
basically
you
had
to
run
to
the
finish
line
and
then
turn
around
and
run
away
from
the
finish
line
and.
C
Lot
of
mental
and
physical
stamina
involving
running
in
Marathon,
but
to
turn
around
and
run
away
from
the
Finish
line.
I
do
not
think
I
can
relate
to
that
so
kudos
to
everyone
who
did
that
and
I
think
it
by
all
accounts
was
a
really
positive
event
in
our
community.
We
are
moving
on
to
any
other
nations.
