From YouTube: City of Madison Parks Board Meeting - January 4, 2023
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
A
A
D
And
we're
here
we
asked
for
this
meeting
just
to
make
the
Parks
Board
where
that
and
understand
of
our
interest
in
John
Paul
Park
Dar
is
committed
to
a
long-term
investment
in
the
park.
We
are
hoping
that
working
together
we
can
get
more
accomplished
to
improve
the
park
and
what
I
want
to
explain
to
you
a
little
bit
about
the
John
Paul
perk.
D
We
were
notified
that
we
had
no
idea
that
we
were
to
that
money
was
coming
to
us
yearly
and
we
were
to
use
that
money
to
invest
in
John
Paul
Park.
Now
it's
not
in
a
large
amount
of
money
on
we've
been
receiving
it
for
five
years
and
it's
averaged
about
840
a
year.
So
it's
not
like
lots
and
lots
when
we
found
out
about
this
the
first
year.
You
know
we
had
no
idea.
We,
we
formed
a
committee.
D
We
went
to
one
of
the
board
members
who
had
stored
all
the
information
in
his
garage
and
house,
and
we
took
all
this
down
to
the
History
Center
and
went
through
it,
and
it
was
everything
from
supplies
paper
to
things
about
the
conservancy
and
we
got
that
compiled
into
a
box
which
we
left
at
the
History
Center.
So
it's
available
for
anyone
interested
in
looking
at
that
history
of
that
Conservancy
it's
down
there.
D
D
First
of
all,
when
we
got
this,
we
started
meeting
that
Damon
Welch
was
mayor
at
the
time
and
we
met
with
the
Parks
Board
people
and
we
met
with
the
mayor,
and
we
talked
about
some
of
the
things
that
we
would
like
to
do
to
improve
the
park
and
under
Mr
Welch.
We
he
repaired
the
roof
of
the
tool
shed,
which
was
a
slate
roof.
D
D
So
after
we've
accomplished
this,
then
we
looked
to
what
do
we
want
to
do
in
the
future?
So
we
polled
our
committee
because
they
have
more
knowledge
of
what's
been
going
on
in
the
park
than
the
club
in
general,
and
we
came
up
with
a
huge
list,
anything
from
planting
grass,
seeds
and
Landscaping
to
waste
cans
and
dog
bag
dispensers
just
enormous
list.
So
from
this
list
we
picked
three
things
that
we
would
like
to
accomplish.
The
first
of
those
is
the
fountain
base.
D
If
you
go
to
John
Paul
Park,
it's
a
lovely
park
as
it
is,
but
the
fountain
is
just
an
eyesore.
So
what
we
would
like
are
going
to
plan
to
do
is
we're
going
to
have
the
dirt
taken
out
of
the
fountain,
we're
going
to
have
the
fountain
power
washed
and
repaired
and
then
made
as
close
to
as
it
can
be
with
the
original
base
and
then
the
dirt
put
back
in
and
we've.
D
The
second
thing
we'd
like
to
focus
on
are
the
trees
they're
original
trees
that
were
in
the
park.
We
will
be
contacting
the
tree
board
and
talking
to
them,
but
we
would
like
to
identify
the
trees.
We
would
like
to
Mark
the
trees
in
some
way.
We
would
like
to
the
canopy
looked
at
to
see.
Do
we
need
to
remove
trees?
Do
we
need
to
add
trees,
what's
involved
with
trees,
and
there
are
also
stumps
in
the
park
that
we
would
like
to
be
removed?
D
So
this
would
be
again
a
cooperation
between
the
city
and
dar
to
try
to
get
some
of
these
things
done.
The
third
thing
is
a
biggie.
We
would
really
like
water
brought
to
that
Park.
When
we
went
in
this
fall
to
clean
the
the
stones,
we
had
to
bring
water
and
buckets
just
to
wash
those
stones
and
to
do
any
work.
Plus
you
know
the
things
we
could
power
wash
the
Gazebo.
D
We
could
do
things
there
if
you
had
access
to
water
and
Steve
land
told
us
that
even
to
do
what
he's
going
to
do
he's
going
to
have
to
rent
some
pay
an
enormous
amount
to
rent
something
that
hooks
to
a
hydrant
in
order
to
power
wash
the
fountain
now
I
know
that
can't
be
done
immediately,
but
we
really
would
appreciate
getting
water
now.
This
does
not
mean
we
don't
necessarily
want
another
Fountain
there.
D
We
don't
necessarily
want
the
public
to
have
access
to
water,
we're
hoping
it
can
be
something
like
the
Garden
Club
has
with
the
parking
lot
area
that
they
take
care
of
across
from
the
post
office
in
that
area,
where
they
have
a
key,
they
can
get
to
the
water.
The
city
can
get
to
the
water,
but
it's
not
just
available
to
anyone.
So
in
2023
we're
going
to
be
working
on
those
three
things:
the
fountain
base,
trees
and
then,
hopefully
getting
water
to
the
park.
D
We
have
met
with
Matthew
Woolard
many
times
he's
been
lovely
he's
made.
Many
suggestions,
he's
helped
us
with
the
pass
and
the
benches
Tony
Sorel
in
the
street
department
have
been
wonderful.
Tony
has
suggesting
materials
when
we
got
ready
to
do
the
path.
He
suggests
people
that
will
do
the
work
for
us
and
Steve
land
has
worked
on.
The
pool
he's
worked
on
the
fountain
he's
done,
other
jobs
for
the
city
and
he's
just
been
lovely
and
he's
also
recommended
materials
and
people.
So
we
appreciate
all
the
city
has
done.
D
D
Sometimes,
when
AI
or
some
people
were
really
interested
in
things,
they
will
leave
money
to
us,
and
so
that
also
will
be
designated
for
the
park.
If
that's
their
wish.
So
we
we
will
never
have
thousands
and
thousands
of
dollars,
but
you
know
we're
hoping
we
have
access
to
be
writing
lots
of
Grants.
D
Many
of
us
in
a
chapter
have
taken
the
community
foundations
class
in
writing
grants,
and
so
we
would
be
talking
about
matching
grants.
The
city,
the
John
Paul
Park
committee,
a
Dar
and
the
Community
Foundation
as
well
as
Dar,
has
many
grants
that
we
can
apply
for.
So
when
we
finally
decide.
We
just
want
that.
C
D
C
D
D
A
D
E
I
just
want
to
Echo
that
and
Phyllis
Hillary.
Thank
you,
you
and
all
the
daughters
of
American
Revolution
group
for
your
dedication
continually
for
this
park
and
just
kind
of
throughout
the
city.
We
really
couldn't
do
half
of
what
we
do
without
these
kind
of
public-private
Partnerships,
so
we're
we're
very
elated
to
be
in
business
with
you
with
that
and
just
to
speak
on
behalf
of
the
water
access.
E
That's
something
Carla
and
I
have
been
on
a
couple
shared
emails
with
something
that
we're
actually
in
context
right
now
with
the
damns
about
that,
because
the
because
there
was
a
fountain
at
one
point
in
time
there
was
water
access,
but
no
longer
there
is.
That
essentially,
is
eroded
away.
So
we
have
spoke
with
some
people
on
getting
that
all
basically
laid
out
so
that
we
know
where
we
can
maneuver
there,
because,
as
you
know,
that
was
a
former
Cemetery.
E
So
we
want
to
make
sure
we
don't
encroach
on
anything
that
we
shouldn't,
and
so
we
are
working
through
that
process
right
now
with
sedans.
So
that
is
something
that
we
want
to
bring
there.
It's
just
going
to
make
everyone's
life
easier
so
that
we
can
beautify
that
area
more
and
take
care
of
it
and
one
other
thing.
I
thought
was
very
cool.
Just
yesterday,
I
received
an
email.
E
E
B
A
A
You
know
we,
everyone
that
uses
the
brown
gym,
whether
it
be
for
a
sports
team
or
a
city
sponsored
activity,
does
pay
a
fee
to
use
it
except
the
exercise.
People
I
know.
Some
of
you
have
some
very
strong
feelings
about
that,
and
we
want
you
to
have
the
opportunity
to
express
that
so
I'm
going
to
open
it
up,
I'm
going
to
open
up
the
mic
at
this
time.
For
anyone
who
would
like
to
come
is
that
right?
Is
it.
E
A
Okay,
so
what
we're
proposing
is
the
the
people
who
walk
at
the
brown
gym
have
a
fee
schedule
that
says
one
dollar
a
day
or
twenty
dollars
for
six
months,
and
we
put
that
in
specifically
for
the
snowbirds
that
go
away
for
the
winter
that
didn't
want
to
pay
for
a
whole
year
or
35
dollars
for
the
year.
So
it'd
be
the
same
as
the
walkers.
The
fee
would
be
for
all
of
the
exercise
classes.
A
A
F
I
know
they're
I'm,
Jan,
vaters
I
know,
there's
some
other
people
that
have
sent
you
some
information
on
stuff
and
I
believe
that
the
fee
they
were
looking
at
was
45
dollars.
F
But
whatever
can
I
ask
why
walking
and
exercise
classes
would
be
considered
separate?
Maybe
maybe
the
fee
would
include
Walkers
and
exercise
as
one.
F
F
Sometimes
seniors
are
on
very
fixed
incomes,
and
this
is
a
very
important,
not
just
socialization,
but
exercise
for
for
senior
folks
that
live
here.
It's
not
as
glamorous
as
pickleball,
but.
F
Don't
and
the
I
guess
my
other
ongoing
thing
is:
please
let
the
community
know
that
this
is
available.
You
guys
don't
promote
what
you
offer
the.
F
E
G
Hi
I'm
Margaret,
nowling
I
lead
the
Monday,
Thursday
exercise
class
for
seniors
and,
while
Patty
Trimble
is
out
recovering
from
surgery,
I
also
lead
her
class.
As
Jan
said,
our
people
are
seniors,
especially
the
Monday
Thursday
class.
We've
got
people
in
their
80s
and
90s
and
sometimes
they're
on
fixed
incomes,
and
so
any
increase
or
any
fee
that
they
didn't
have
to
pay
before,
but
they
have
to
pay
now
can
be
a
hardship
for
them.
G
I
I'm
not
speaker,
but
anyway,
just
make
sure
that
the
that
the
rate
that
the
pickleball
people
pay
is
Equitable
with
what
we're
paying,
because
it
looks
like
we're.
Paying
more
I
mean
we're
only
there
for
an
hour
five
days
a
week.
But
please
check
out.
A
And
I
want
to
make
it
clear
that
if
our
exercise
class
program
grows
and
we
need
to
add
more
hours
to
that
to
you
know,
the
classes
are
too
big.
We're
happy
to
accommodate
that.
Just
like
you
did
with
the
people
ball
as
the
pickleball
grew,
and
we
had
you
know
50
150
people
signed
up.
You
know
we.
We
felt
the
need
to
open
it
up
more
because
of
the
numbers.
A
H
I
Hi,
my
name
is
Charlie
Ferguson,
718,
East,
2nd,
Street
and
first
of
all,
I
want
to
say
thanks
for
giving
us
the
extra
hour.
It
has
helped
tremendously
when-
and
this
is
what
the
exercise
group
might
not
understand.
Is
you
all
are
on
the
floor
for
an
hour
and
you
don't
come
off.
Do
you
you
exercise
for
one
hour?
I
Okay,
we
had
so
many
people
at
pickleball
that
we
were
playing
one
game
which
lasts
about
15
minutes
for
about
every
30
to
45
minutes,
because
we
only
get
12
people
on
the
court
at
a
time
and
you
all
would
have
25
30
40,
whatever
you
want,
so
we're
not
playing
four
hours
of
pickleball.
Okay,
we're
playing
15
30
minutes
every
45,
maybe
and
nobody
stays
there
for
four
hours.
I
We
might
have
a
couple:
crazies
I'm,
not
one
of
them,
but
we
might
have
a
couple
that
stay
for
the
four
hours
so
breaking
I
know
y'all
tried
to
break
it
down
compared
you
know
per
hour.
Okay,
all
right
I
did
some
of
that.
Okay
and
we
paid
10
cents
an
hour
for
four
hours.
Okay,
you
all
would
pay
13
cents
an
hour
for
four
for
for
each
hour
we
would
pay
10
cents
an
hour
for
each
other,
but
we're
only
playing
half
the
time
so
actually
we're
playing
20
cents
per
hour
compared
to
year.
I
13.
I,
don't
know
if
that
makes
sense
or
okay,
but
just
something
that
you
know
we're
not
down
to
playing
for
four
hours
straight
people
come
for
two
hours
they
leave,
so
the
extra
R
gave
us
a
a
time
span
to
fit
in
35
and
40.
People
and
we'd
have
never
been
able
to
do
that
before
and
that's
why
we
got
the
why
we
got
the
XR
and
I
think
Matt
said.
Last
time
we
had
130
people
signed
up
for
pickleball,
it's
thirteen
thousand
dollars
a
year.
We
are
paying
for
pickleball.
I
Okay,
if
you
all
have
50
people
signed
up
for
exercise
class
you're
going
to
bring
in
1750
dollars,
okay,
so
I
I'm,
just
here
to
defend
pickleball.
Okay
I
know
some
of
it's
a
misunderstanding:
okay,
but
when
they
gave
us
that
XR
it
just
helped
tremendously
so
that
we
could
space
people
out
some
of
them
are
there.
I
The
first
two
hours,
some
of
them
they're
the
second
two
hours
and
that's
we're
not
there
for
four
hours
and
getting
by
on
a
hundred
dollars
and
I've
been
here
four
years
and
we
played
twice
a
week
if
he
was
forty
dollars,
we
increased,
we
went
to
three
times
a
week.
The
fee
went
to
fifty
dollars,
we
increased,
we
went
to
five
days
a
week,
seventy
five
dollars.
Now
we
got
extra
time
we're
paying
a
hundred
dollars.
We've
paid
our
way,
the
whole
time.
I
Okay
and
like
I,
said
10
cents,
then
per
hour,
13
cents
per
hour.
I,
don't
think
anybody
I
think
the
city
is
doing
a
fantastic
job,
giving
us
a
facility
like
that
to
be
able
to
come
and
pickleball
exercise
whatever
it
is.
We
have
seven
people
coming
from
North
Vernon,
North
Vernon,
four
from
Versailles
three
from
VV,
because
they
have
no
place
to
play
and
I
just
wanted
to
defend,
pickleball
and
defend
the
city
for
giving
us
a
really
really
good
opportunity
for
the
price
that
that
we
are
paying
so.
I
I,
don't
you
know,
get
anybody
Disturbed
or
anything
I
wanted
to
explain
a
little
bit.
I
love,
I
love,
seeing
the
brown
gym
use
when
I
walk
in
and
I
see
their
big
group,
I
love,
seeing
it
okay
and
I
love,
seeing
the
pickleball
grow
and
I
hope
everybody
can
grow
and
they
are
very
good
about.
You
need
extra
time,
they'll
give
it
to
you.
A
J
I,
don't
I
don't
want
to
argue
about
the
money,
but
I,
don't
think
the
community
realizes
what
little
opportunities
there
are
for
senior
exercises,
class
and
Madison
I
know
I
passed
the
senior
facility
on
Main,
Street
and
I,
see
on
the
door,
Euchre
and
ping
pong,
and
this
seems
to
be
the
only
opportunity
for
those
ages,
70
and
90
to
have
this
opportunity
and
I
appreciate
the
brand
gym.
Having
and
I
think
they've
been
down
there
for
15
or
20
years.
J
A
Okay,
so
honestly,
I'd
like
to
put
it
off
one
more
month,
so
that
I
can
talk
to
the
board
members
before
we
vote
on.
This
is
that
okay
do.
K
E
If
there's
further
things
that
you
think
of
between
now
and
then
you're
welcome
to
stop
by
City,
Hall
call
the
parks,
department,
email
us
and,
of
course
anybody
that
sends
information
and
asks
me
to
share
with
the
board
I
do
send
that
to
them
just
so
that
they
can
see.
So
if
there
is
anything
you
can
think
of
afterwards,
you
are
welcome
to
do
so.
A
Okay,
so
we're
going
to
move
on
to
our
report
from
our
Park
officials,
so
Mr
Ison,
you're
up.
L
Hello
board
we'll
get
started
with
youth
programming.
As
we
touched
on
last
board.
Meeting
all
of
our
programs
for
the
year
so
far
have
gone,
live
on
Rec
desk
every
two
weeks
we
will
be
sending
out
updates
to
the
people
that
have
signed
up
just
to
kind
of
let
them
know
where
we're
at
during
that
kind
of
gray
period
of
the
sign
up
time.
We'll
just
let
them
know
you
know,
hey
we've
got
this
coach
is
coaching:
we've
got.
You
know
these
coaches.
Here
we've
got
three
weeks
left
to
sign.
L
Ups,
you
know
spread
the
word
all
those
all
those
kind
of
updates,
as
far
as
as
those
go,
and
so
basketball
and
cheerleading,
as
of
now
are
operating
per
usual
regular
season,
four-hour,
basketball,
leagues
are
are
scheduled
to
end
last
weekend
in
January
and
then
we'll
move
on
to
the
tournament.
After
that,
I
encourage
all
board
members,
staff
and
volunteers.
To
start,
you
know,
building
up
the
talk
for
our
baseball
and
softball
Seasons.
L
Those
are
are
some
of
our
most
popular
programs
and
I.
Think
you
know
now
that
this
administration's
had
two
years
of
baseball
Seasons
to
get
ready.
I
think
you
know
last
year,
I
thought
we
made
Leaps
and
Bounds
as
far
as
improvements
go
and
I
think
this
year,
we're
going
to
continue
on
that.
So
please,
if
you
all,
would
get
get
the
word
out
about
that
and
let
everybody
know
they
can
sign
up
now
and
that's
that
really
is
for
for
any
sport
they
can
sign
up
with,
but
especially
since.
L
That's
our
that's
our
newest,
our
upcoming
season.
We
definitely
want
to
get
the
word
out
about
that.
With
adult
programming,
we
were
able
to
reserve
pickle
spots
for
pickleball
all
throughout
the
year,
2023
and
I.
Think
that's
great
because,
as
you
we've
all
heard
tonight,
that
is
a
growing
program
and
and
it's
a
it's
a
great
program
for
our
community
and
then
we're
we're
very,
very
happy
to
see
this
program
along
with
our
exercise
and
and
walking,
classes,
grow
and-
and
you
know
be
popular
throughout
throughout
our
community
here.
L
So
thank
you
to
everybody.
Who's
involved
with
those
programs
and
and
of
who
you
know
who
spread
the
word
and
built
the
programs
up.
Senior
programming
dance
schedule
is
set
for
all
of
2023,
and
by
that
we
we
have
dates
and
musical
guests.
That
will
be
there
for
pretty
much
every
every
single
Friday
of
of
this
this
year
and
I,
just
I
want
to
thank
Gary,
Hewitt
I.
L
Think
he's
done
a
great
job
of
being
our
facilitator
for
that
senior
citizens,
Center
and,
and
the
people
involved
with
with
the
senior
dances
and
just
some
additional
information
to
close
out
my
report.
We
know
it's
ambitious,
but
our
our
parks,
department,
Matt
and
I.
We
have
we've
decided
that
that
our
goal
for
2023
is
to
again
increase
all
programming
by
2020
or
by
20.
E
I
just
want
to
say,
Chad
Zone,
an
excellent
job,
just
he's
going
through
everything
that
we've
we've
accomplished
and
that
we've
got
coming
up
here
for
this
upcoming
year.
But
this
goal
that
we
set
for
2023
of
doing
20,
increase
participation
again
is
a
bit
lofty
and
we
kind
of
went
back
and
forth
on
it,
but
ultimately
decided.
We
didn't
want
to
lower
that
bar
to
something
we
knew
we
could
achieve.
We
wanted
to
reach
for
something
that's
going
to
be
a
little
bit
more
difficult
because
to
us
being
competitive.
E
E
It
doesn't
matter
what
sport
just
anything
like
that
to
get
involved
and
so
Chad's
doing
a
great
job.
We're
excited
that
everything
is
now
open.
So
we
don't
want
I'm,
not
going
to
say
as
an
excuse,
but
we
want
to
make
sure
it's
accessible
for
all
that.
Basically,
throughout
the
year,
you
can
do
a
One-Stop
shop.
That
Mr
Shockley
knows
that
he's
got
a
child.
What
grade,
and
he
knows
what
sports
he's
going
to
play.
E
He
can
just
go
on
one
time,
sign
him
up
for
the
whole
year
and
then
you'll
receive
those
email
notifications
about
when
those
sports
are
coming
up
and
such
so
all
we
want
to
do
is
make
this
accessible
make.
It
just
continue
to
build
the
success
on
these
programs
and
make
sure
that
everyone
is
is
on
the
same
page
with
our
Communications.
So
thank
you
Chad
and
thank
you
to
everyone.
That's
helping
us
with
this.
A
The
City
and
the
senior
center
are
doing
a
fraud,
prevention,
seminar
and
they're
bringing
in
the
State
Attorney
General
to
put
it
on,
and
it
is
on
January
24th
at
one
o'clock
here
at
City
Hall
in
the
chamber.
So
if
you
would
pass
the
word
for
us,
that
would
be
amazing
that
we'll
have
an
expert
here.
You
know,
like
those
scam
calls
you
get
or
the
things
in
the
mail
that
just
show
up,
that
you've
won
a
car
or
whatever
so
yeah,
so
fraud
prevention,
January,
24th,
okay,
Mr,
Willard,
you're
on.
E
Thank
you
Madam
president,
and
quickly
I
wanted
to
say,
congratulations,
Miss,
Krebs
I'm
being
announced
to
the
city
council
president.
Oh
coming.
F
H
E
A
E
So
what
I
wanted
to
do
so?
We
kind
of
embarked
on
this
similar
kind
of
report
last
year,
but
we've
got
an
all-new
board
this
year.
So
I
thought
it
was
prudent
that
we
kind
of
take
a
step
back
and
look
at
where
we've
gone,
because
that's
kind
of
going
to
show
us
where
we're
headed
for
2023.
E
So,
looking
at
your
parks,
department,
I
know
we
preach
on
this.
A
lot
harp
on
it
all
the
time,
because
I
think
it's
so
vital.
Just
the
magnitude
of
the
park
system
that
we
Encompass
starting
at
the
very
top.
We
operate
a
2.2
million
operating
budget
so
how
the
budget
works
for
the
parks
department
is
we're
assigned
a
certain
tax
credit
amount
through
state
tax
levies
and
property
taxes,
and
that
only
encompasses
a
certain
amount.
E
So
that's
what
is
made
up
of
our
general
fund,
but
the
parks
department
also
has
a
separate
fund,
which
is
your
nro
non-reverting
operations
to
where
things
that
we
receive
from
fees
so
Golf
Course,
campgrounds,
Sports,
Complex,
fundraising,
programming
fees,
activity,
fees,
pickleball,
you
name
it
all.
Those
fees
go
towards
the
general
operations,
upkeep
maintenance,
Staffing
of
our
overall
department.
Now
the
big
area,
that's
something
that
I've
been
trying
to
work
on
that
we've
been
harping
on
is
about
the
fiscal
responsibility
of
our
facility.
So
the
golf
course
Campground.
E
E
You
need
to
set
aside
x
amount
of
dollars
so
that
in
20
years
you
have
the
money
to
fund
that
that's
never
been
done
through
the
parks
department,
and
so
those
are
the
little
I
say
little
because
it
sounds
simple,
but
to
actually
accomplish
that
takes
a
lot
of
planning
and
just
organization
responsibility
on
our
end
to
be
able
to
accomplish
that.
So
2.2
million
might
sound
like
a
lot,
but
once
you
break
it
down
to
that
encompasses
220,
Acres
of
parks,
27
different
parks
and
Facilities.
E
We've
got
roughly
90
staff
members
once
everything's
in
full
swing.
So
that's
up
at
your
golf
course
for
maintenance,
also
in
the
Pro
Shop.
Now
that
we've
taken
over
everything
inside
of
the
Pro
Shop,
with
a
concession
Crystal
Beach
when
that's
in
full
swing,
you've
got
30
to
35.
Staff
members
there
between
your
lifeguards
and
front
desk
concession
over
at
Rucker
Chad's
got
another
25
30
between
your
score
keepers.
E
Your
your
score
keepers,
your
officials,
out
on
the
field,
your
coaches,
you
name
it-
you
continue
to
go
through
this
and
you
can
see
how
that
money
just
slowly
starts
to
dwindle.
If
you
don't
take
proper
care
of
it
as
piggybacking
with
Chad.
Here,
we've
had
20
different
programs
and
I'm
going
to
say,
there's
some
programs
that
we
wanted
to
offer
say
women's
softball
and
such
that
didn't
get
off
the
ground.
So
I
didn't
include
that
as
a
program
that
was
offered
I
only
included
the
ones
that
were
successful.
E
E
The
golf
course
and
such
and
basically
come
up
with
a
rough
number
of
how
many
people
tourists
that
we
see
so
that's
actual
people
that
visit
and
then,
if
you
look
at
the
number
of
times
that
they
come
in
on
average,
is
about
six
times
so
that
number
jumps
up
to
close
to
2
million
very
very
quickly.
On
the
number
of
times
people
are
walking
through
our
Park
system
and
such
so.
This
is
just
kind
of
a
quick
look
at
it
snapshot
of
our
entire
park
system.
E
We've
been
working
with
non-profits
on
the
back
side
of
this,
with
all
the
funding
and
with
the
help
for
the
local
youth
summer,
pickup
games
that
we
did
with
the
local
youth
I
know
Carla
got
out
there
and
played
with
the
kids.
She
still
has
a
jump
shot
too
in
case
anyone
wanted
to
know.
We
did
that
at
Kiwanis
at
Rucker,
at
the
brown
gym
out
of
I,
think
the
first
one
we
had
about
47
people
come
out
and
participate
in
that
we
started
up
Sunrise
tournament
series
and
leagues
thanks
to
Roger.
E
At
the
golf
course,
we
implemented
some
mental
toughness
Awards
like
the
Bob
cring
award
back
at
Rucker
sports
complex
and
trying
to
bring
some
of
that
Nostalgia
back
and
then
fundraising.
2
is
another
big
aspect
that
we
want
to
continue
to
hit
on.
So
Chad
did
a
great
job
with
our
Communications
Department
on
getting
all
that
out
there
early
this
year,
so
our
sponsorships
for
we
have
businesses
that
donate
for
banners
for
t-shirts,
but
then
also
to
sponsor
kids.
E
So
whether
it
be
swim,
lessons
baseball
you
name
it
people
donate
and
say
we
want
to
sponsor
x
amount
of
people
for
that.
So
we'd
like
to
continue
to
expand
that,
because
I
don't
think
that
that
should
just
be
on
youth.
Maybe
that
is
something
for
exercise
classes.
Let's
say
just
a
hypothetical
you
get
a
business
to
say:
I
want
to
sponsor
x
amount
of
participants
for
exercise
class.
There's
areas,
I
think
that
we
have
opportunity
to
do
some
of
that
to
Leverage
the
funds
within
our
community.
E
E
So
all
of
your
T
times
all
of
your
Campground
registrations
and,
like
I,
said
all
of
your
programming
stuff,
that's
23,
000
transactions
that
three
four
years
ago
would
have
all
been
processed
by
hand.
So
this
gives
us
quicker
access.
More
accurate
reporting,
just
more
efficient
operations
and
frankly
makes
us
better
in
terms
of
customer
service.
Because
now
people
are
finding
us,
as
Doug
mentioned
I.
E
Think
our
last
board
meeting
about
how
many
different
countries
people
have
come
to
just
to
visit
the
campground,
because
we're
more
accessible
now
in
Reserve
America
on
book,
your
site
and
such
so
this
data
component
is
it's
very
powerful
to
me
just
how
far
along
we've
come
in
just
a
few
years,
and
so
these
are
the
kind
of
things
we
need
to
do
a
better
job
of
promoting
and
it
all
kind
of
ties
into
our
goals.
What
we
want
to
do
for
2023,
looking
back
I'll
kind
of
skip
through
this
one.
E
This
is
what
we
presented
last
year.
What
we
did
in
2021,
but
just
something
I,
wanted
to
briefly
hit
on
again
with
all
the
new
data
points
and
stuff
that
we
have.
We
still
have
a
lot
of
I'll
call
new
Personnel,
Chad,
myself
Rogers
our
golf
pro
Doug
is
our
Campground
host
all
been
here
within
the
last
two
or
three
years.
We
have
a
fresh
new
board.
E
Administration,
obviously
has
only
been
here
for
a
few
years,
so
we've
gotten
a
lot
of
things
accomplished
with
all
new
people
in
place
integrated
the
technology
we
created
the
four-person
golf
board.
Thank
you,
Jake
for
sitting
on
that,
as
the
representative
for
the
park
board
began
working
on
our
master
plan
that
we
knew
was
coming
up
reopened.
The
Senior
Center
Post
covid
brought
all
the
dances
back
for
that
did
some
Renovations
at
the
clubhouse
for
the
sunrise,
both
in
the
clubhouse
and
then
out
on
the
course
itself
begin.
E
The
the
which
I
believe
started
in
2017,
the
Crystal
Beach
project
for
the
pool
house,
and
then
we've
been
working
on
the
financials
and
increasing
it's
at
our
major
facilities.
So
that
was
for
2021
and
then
I
thought.
This
was
kind
of
powerful
too,
on
what
we
had
said
this
time
last
year
for
2022..
Now
of
these
eight
bullet
points
that
we
have
right
here,
I'm
proud
to
say
that
we
have
either
accomplished
or
actively
in
the
middle
of
seven
of
these
eight.
E
The
only
one
I'll
say
that
we've
not
completely
done
is
the
exciting
new
adult
leagues
and
we've
tried
to
promote
some
of
those.
We
just
haven't
gotten
those
kind
of
picked
up
off
the
ground,
but
with
Crystal
Beach,
the
pool
house,
which
is
what
initially
was
encumbered
with
that
2.7.
That
will
be
finished
here
soon.
We
are
actively
working
on
upgrades
to
shoot
bathrooms
up
here,
just
off
Maine's
Comfort
station
and
then
our
outdoor
basketball
courts
with
the
exterior
of
crystal
beach
with
Oak
Hill
with
Damon
Wells
park.
E
We
have
upgraded
our
Campground
bath
house
and
accessibility
and
we
still
have
a
little
bit
of
work
left
to
do.
There.
We've
done
phase
one
for
the
upgrades
at
Rucker,
Sports
Complex
we've
increased
our
youth
participation
by
20,
we've
brought
in
some
new
programs
such
as
First,
Tee
and
t-ball,
as
we
said
about
their
new
software
and
then
upgrading
our
community
park.
So,
as
you
heard
from
Dar
talking
about
the
work
there
at
John
Paul
the
work
that
we're
doing
at
Oak
Hill
and
some
of
these
other
facilities.
E
So
that's
basically
what
we're
getting
to
here.
We
did
complete
that
Master
Plan
we've
got
an
all-new
board.
All
these
new
programs
Chad's
been
involved
with
the
senior
center
Coalition
of
Indiana
very
excited
about
the
prospect
of
that
I
had
the
opportunity
to
go
to
a
national
recreation
park,
Association
director
school
and
get
a
lot
of
collaboration
with
those
there.
We
hired
a
new
senior
coordinator
and
we've
set
an
all-time
Revenue
records
both
at
the
campground
and
sunrise,
which
we're
very
proud
about
and,
like
I
said
on
the
the
facility
upgrades.
E
So
it's
a
lot
to
take
in,
but
we're
we're
accomplishing
what
we've
set
out
to
do,
which
kind
of
makes
me
want
to
set
the
bar
higher
and
so
for
2023,
just
overall
quality
of
life
initiatives
that
we're
looking
at
Crystal,
Beach
pool
house
like
I,
said
that's
well
underway.
We
intend
to
have
that
finished
and
then
we're
working
through
all
the
plans.
E
Funding
right
now
with
that
pool,
Oak
Hill,
Park
Board
in
front
of
you
you've
got
a
Gantt
chart
with
that
with
a
schedule
as
of
right
now
we're
attentively
looking
at
mid
to
late
May.
For
that
to
be
completely
finished,
but
that
Park
is
something
that
we
we
began
that
Journey
here
about
three
four
months
ago:
Broadway
beautification
project.
So
by
that
I'm
talking
about
most
of
the
the
real
estate
that
we
have
there
on
Broadway
north
to
south.
E
So
on
the
North
side,
Gaines
Park
is
going
to
be
the
next
Community
Park
the
neighborhood
park
that
we
are
going
to
be
investing
in
the
mayor's
already
committed
certain
Capital
to
that
to
where
we're
going
to
completely
restore
that
Park
and
as
you
move
your
way,
South
kind
of
in
tandem
with
Crystal
Beach.
You
can't
do
all
this
work
to
Crystal
Beach
itself,
the
pool
and
the
pool
house
without
upgrading
the
front
of
it.
E
The
the
beautification
in
terms
of
the
front
we've
taken
out
a
few
of
the
trees
so
that
you
can
see
the
entire
facility
there,
including
like
the
stained
deck
and
such
that,
makes
that
just
more
presentable.
The
sidewalks
and
the
signage
in
the
front
is
all
going
to
be
upgraded
basketball,
courts,
fencing
and
then
on
the
other
side
of
the
street
Kiwanis
Park
as
well.
We're
going
to
do
some
upgrades
of
that
with
the
fencing
and
just
general
landscaping
and
beautification.
E
So
that's
why
I'm
going
to
call
it
Broadway,
because
you've
got
x
amount
of
facilities
there
to
be
receiving
that
attention
here
in
2023
finish
the
bathhouse
upgrades
at
the
campground,
like
I,
said
we
worked
on
some
general
upgrades.
There,
accessibility
and
such
still
have
a
little
bit
of
work
left
to
do,
but
we're
excited
about
that
phase.
Two
of
Rucker
Sports
Complex.
E
So
Chad
worked
a
lot
with
Tony
Sorrels
this
past
year
on
the
different
upgrades
that
we've
got
there
with
basically
getting
more
dirt
in
there,
it's
frankly
what
it
needed,
because
it
needed
to
be
all
regraded
re-leveled
out,
re-edging
everything,
and
so
we've
got
a
lot
more
of
those
kind
of
things
that
just
general
upkeep
that
hasn't
been
done
in
quite
a
while.
The
take
a
little
bit
of
time
continue
upgrading
Community
Parks.
E
So
the
other
things
that
we've
got
on
our
agenda
that
we've
identified
through
the
parks
master
plan,
John
Paul,
Park,
Pearl,
Park,
Damon
Welch-
we're
going
to
continue
to
kind
of
reinvigorate
these
neighborhood
parks
and
continue
to
upgrade
these
facilities.
That's
something
that's
been
lacking
desperately
on
the
park
system
for
a
number
of
years
and
we're
committed
to
to
bringing
that
back.
Like
Chad
said
another
20
increase
in
youth
program,
participation
which
we
do
think
we
can
accomplish
but
board.
E
As
we've
stated
we're
going
to
need
your
help,
expand
the
current
program,
offerings
and
I'm
going
to
say
that
that's
going
to
be
needed
for
all
the
levels,
so
youth,
adult
and
seniors,
whether
that
that
be
Sports
driven
or
not,
and
hopefully
it's
not.
Hopefully
there
are
other
avenues
that
we
can
do
this.
E
E
The
communication
department
is
I'm
going
to
say
mandating
with
us
that
we
are
working
with
them
to
try
to
do
better
on
and
it's
something
that
we've
got
certain
goals
as
we
progress
that
we
want
to
be
posting
x,
amount
of
times
a
week,
cleaning
up
all
of
the
the
websites
and
the
softwares
and
stuff
just
making
things
more
accessible,
so
we're
more
customer
friendly
and
then,
lastly,
just
continuing
to
be
involved
on
the
national
and
state
level
in
terms
of
Parks
and
Recreation,
because
when
I
looked
back,
when
I
got
registered
again
through
irpa
and
RPA
the
last
person
to
do
that
from
my
record
showed
was
Dave
meaner,
which
was
late,
90s
early
2000s,
that's
something
else
that
we
want
to
become
more
involved
in.
E
E
There's
one
great
answer:
I
think:
there's
a
lot
of
things
that
we
can
get
done,
a
lot
of
low
hanging
fruit
of
quick
hitter
things
that
we
can
do
and
then
I
think
there's
also
a
lot
of
medium
long-term
goals
for
the
next
couple
of
years,
that
I've
kind
of
maybe
laid
the
groundwork
for,
but
that
we
need
to
start
progressing
forward.
So
that's
something
that
I'm
going
to
challenge
you
and
I
would
ask
the
community
as
well,
especially
if
it
comes
to
we've,
been
talking
about
programming
tonight.
E
If
there's
something
that
we're
not
offering
that
you
want
offered.
Let
us
know,
let
us
know
what
it
is
you
want.
We
can
talk
about
the
logistics
of
it
who's,
going
to
run
it
safety
insurance,
how
it's
going
to
take
place
who's
going
to
promote
it,
costs
you
name
it.
But
if
you
want
to
see
it
contact
us,
we
may
not
have
all
the
solutions
for
that,
but
that's
something
we
can
work
on
together
and
we're
more
than
happy
to
so
that's
kind
of
a
quick,
quick
recap
on
where
we
stand
and
I
always
love.
E
Seeing
a
few
photos
of
programming.
I'm
sure
Chad's
out
there
in
the
middle,
doing
something
with
the
kids
here,
but
just
to
Rucker
over
at
the
football
field,
in
that
partnership
with
the
the
high
school
and
then
down
at
the
brown
gym,
like
I
said,
are
kind
of
our
Melting
Pot.
That
we've
got
two
different
volleyball
games
going
on
simultaneously
and
then
just
brief
snapshot
at
a
few
different
parts:
Johnson
lake
Bicentennial,
hargan,
Matthews,
Fireman's
Park
in
the
Madison
sport
courts,
because
we
can't
forget
pickleball
but
board.
E
That
is
my
quick
recap
on
2023
and
I
would
just
kind
of
ask
thoughts
on
where
we've
been
where
we're
headed
anything
you'd
like
to
see.
Maybe
you
don't
agree
with
some
of
the
stuff
that
we've
got
in
line
for
2023
I'd,
be
happy
to
share
any
of
that
and,
like
I
said,
this
is
a
kind
of
a
document
that
should
should
be
amended
every
couple
weeks
every
month,
as
you
go
through
the
different
quarters
throughout
the
year,
but
we're
excited
it's
been
a
lot
of
work.
C
I
would
like
to
say-
and
we've
talked
about
it
personally
before
so-
and
I
live
in
that
world,
because
you
know
I've
I
have
a
young
son,
so
I
just
know
that
continued
efforts
for
coordination
and
communication
for
our
youth
sports
I
personally
think
baseball
is
the
most
important
one.
So
I
really
I
really
really
think
that
we
need
to
make
sure
that
we
we
get
get
that
right,
continue
to
do
better
and-
and
we
got
another
opportunity
this
summer.
B
I
I
would
just
like
to
say:
I
mean
just
the
time
that
I've
been
on
the
board.
I
appreciate
your
guys's
work
and,
and
and
our
boards,
and
especially
Carla,
in
trying
to
put
money
back
into
specific
areas
and
not
just
throwing
it
into
a
black
hole.
Yeah
I
do
think
the
parks
are
important.
B
I
think
it's
important
for
the
community
to
improve
these
parks
and
so
that
everyone
can
see
it
I
do
think
we
need
to
come
up
with
a
little
bit
better
plan
on
because
I'm
kind
of
nothing
Jan
I'm,
not
I'm,
tired
of
I'm,
not
tired
of
you
I'm,
tired
of
hearing.
You
know
the
communication
thing
as
and
as
a
school
person.
We
you
know
every
school
here
is
that
every
business
here
is
that
you
need
to
communicate
more.
B
You
need
to
so,
let's
figure
out
a
better
way
to
I
wrote
down
consistency
in
multiple
locations,
so
not
only
just
throwing
up
there
once,
but
whether
it's
Facebook
or
social
media
and
the
website.
What
can
we
do
with
the
marketing
and
Communications
Department
to
build
that
consistency?
I
agree
wholeheartedly.
K
M
Hey
Lisa
Ferguson,
718,
East,
2nd
Street
on
a
funny
note,
I'd
like
to
say,
Charlie
didn't
bring
up
that
probably
about
80
percent
of
the
people
who
play
Pickleball
are
senior
citizens,
so
the
other
thing
that
Carla
and
I
were
talking
about.
We
kind
of
had
lunch
today
and
forgot
to
bring
this
up,
but
it
was
a
pipe
dream
of
mine
for
a
parks
to
sponsor
an
Earth
Day
cleanup
day
along
the
riverfront
I'd,
really
like
to
see
that
come
out
of
the
city.
M
You
could
publicize
that
we
could
get
volunteers,
let's
say
on
Earth
Day
I
would
love
I
think
our
biggest
park?
Is
that
riverfront?
You
know
we
think
of
playgrounds
and
that
type
thing,
but
personally
I've
set
meetings
and
told
people
I'd
rather
not
sit
in
meetings,
but
I'd
rather
do
active
things.
That's
why
we're
doing
Pearl
Park
and
loving
it,
but
if
we
could
plan
now,
it's
January
for
Earth
Day,
which
is
April
22nd.
E
M
H
M
Us
to
give
back
and
set
aside
one
day
that
says,
let's
clean
up
our
own
Riverfront,
we're
responsible
for
what
we
have
out
there.
So
I
just
want
to
say
that
now
so
maybe
by
April,
we
can
come
up
with
promoting
that
somehow
and
getting
the
word
out
to
people
to
show
up,
and
if
the
city
would
Supply
the
trash
and
gloves
or
whatever
I
just
think
that'd
be
a
good
Cooperative
thing
to
do
with
the
citizens.
So.
E
N
Along
with
the
schools
and
stuff
ideal
way
to
get
that
all
and
I'm
going
to
put
one
thing
out,
we
need
contractors,
I
need
somebody
to
come
down.
We've
got
a
roof,
we
gotta
put
on
the
bath
out.
We
got
some
other
stuff,
we
need
to
get
done,
I've
been
calling
contractors
trying
to
get
them
to
show
up.
If
you
guys
know
anybody
have
them
get
a
hold
of
me.
I'll
meet
them,
I
mean
I,
don't
care
when,
but
we
got
some
stuff
that
we
need
to
get
done
and
and
stuff
and
I'm.
N
N
How's
it
going
it's
one.
Slow
I
got
a
couple.
Other
programs,
that's
working
working
now
with
with
the
probation
department
here
in
town,
where
some
of
the
the.
N
To
work
their
community
service
off
down
there
clean
it
up
and
doing
that
kind
of
stuff.
So
that's
the
more
hands
the
more
you
know
you
know
helped
out
because
right
now
you
know
you
figure.
We
got
flood
down
there,
so
we're
gonna
have
a
lot
of
cleanup,
so
any
any
Community
or
any
organization
that
wants
to
come
in
and
help
out
where,
where
from
all
the
way
to
Campground
all
the
way
down
to
the
other
end,
that
needs
to
be
needs
to
be
done.
Thank.
A
E
I,
just
if
there's
no
other
public
I
just
want
to
quickly
say
too,
that
all
season
passes,
cart,
stickers,
cart,
Barn
storage
is
now
available
for
the
golf
course
you
can
get
your
passes
here
at
City,
Hall
myself,
Chad
Kim.
We
can
process
that
for
you
and
then
February
15th.
Once
the
Pro
Shop
reopens,
you
can
get
those
up
at
the
pro
shop
as
well
with
Roger
and
then
tomorrow,
at
9
00
a.m.
E
Our
campground
reservations
will
go
live
so
that
is
on
a
first
come
first
serve
basis,
so
if
you're
wanting
Regatta
I
would
suggest
being
on
there
at
nine
o'clock,
but
we
are
three
minutes
last
year.
So
yes,
that's
going
to
be
open
for
our
entire
seven
month
season,
starting
tomorrow
at
9am.
