new
business
policy
and
administration.
The
human
resources
department
is
asking
to
extend
the
eligibility
list
for
evidence
technician.
The
current
list
expires
march,
2nd
2022,
and
they
would
like
to
extend
the
list
to
june
1
2022.

the
director
of
business
partner
solutions,
a
division

hr

we
work
we're
responsible
for
recruiting
and
hiring
throughout
the
city,
and
we
work
very
closely
with
all
of
our
departments
and
hiring
managers
in
those
departments
to
recruit
and
hire
in
a
fair
and
equitable
way.

agenda
the
extension
of
this
eligible
list,
so
I
would
like
to
just
introduce
a
new
hr
business
partner
to
my
team,
rich
parocha,
he's
going
to
talk
about
this
agenda
item.
Mr
parocha
supports
the
minneapolis
police
department
and
with
that
I'll,
welcome
him
and
turn
the
floor
over

hrbp
for
the
mpd.
I
stated
earlier
I'm
here
to
request
an
extension
of
that
eligibility
list
for
the
evidence
technician
position.
It
is
scheduled
to
expire
on
march,
2nd,
which
is
next
wednesday,
and
I'd
like
to
extend
that
to
june
1st.

This
list
includes
many
qualified
candidates,
51
to
be
exact,
of
which
53
percent
are
women
and
29
are
people
of
color.
There
are
expected
vacancies
in
the
coming
months
for
this
position,
and
the
opportunity
to
extend
rather
than
create
a
new
list
with
a
set
of
qualified
candidates
would
be
beneficial
in
mitigating.

I
do
want
to
say
that
our
commissioner
wheeler
has
served
the
commission
for
15
years
and
we
would
like
to
just
mention
that
service
and
thank
her
for
it.
I
met
I
met
macy
wheeler,
probably
about
20
years
ago,
when
she
was
serving
as
a
board
member
on
a
community
development
organization
in
north
minneapolis
that
I
was
working
with,
and
I
was
impressed
with
her
dedication
to
her
community
and
and
her
her
commitment
to
to
public
service
through
her
non-profit
board
service.

found
out
later
that
she
has
really
made
a
life
commitment
to
non-profit
board
service
nonprofit
work
and
then
now,
through
the
commission
public
service
to
her
city
and
she's,
always
in
my
experience,
has
had
a
a
passion
for
ensuring
that
employees
of
the
city
are
treated
fairly
and
with
dignity,
which
is
really
the
commission's
mission.
