Why is it important to have a plan we're playing a plan just why it's important to know where you're going with just a plan that framework we should be lost? We don't know what you doing yeah make the lie on your life. Better too. You gotta clean.

So you can plan for the future food trip to restaurant future, for my kids for my family and everything else, so I have to have a plan every day. What I'm going to do to be successful in the future.

The last comprehensive plan we did was in 1977.

Some of you were around them, but 1977 is a long long time ago, and the Oklahoma City of 2013 looks nothing like 1977.

That's an important that's an exciting time to live in Oklahoma City right now, a lot of changes going on and I love living in the city of the city for 17 years and I'm just excited about it. We.

Forget sometimes just how important these comprehensive plans can be. Cities are created and then they evolve and, of course, our city was created in a matter.

None like any city in the nation's history, with growing from zero to ten thousand in a single day, but it evolved like many other 20th century cities with rivers and lakes and wooded areas and streets that went sideways and streetcars and trains and trying to intersect all of that with a with a with a plan that that ultimately seemed, probably by 1950, very urban, very cosmopolitan we're going to make some significant changes to this city's comprehensive plan, a plan that we hope will become a living document that the next generation will look back at us and say you know what they had their act together.
