C
B
D
D
Okay,
I'm
Mike,
Sisco
and
I'm,
the
chairman
of
our
village,
fest
Ford,
welcome
all
of
you
on
this
muggy
afternoon,
I
feel
like
I'm
back
home
in
Washington
DC.
Why
did
we
move
out
here?
I
thought
there
was
no
humidity,
that's
what
the
real
estate
people
say:
there's
no
humidity
for
the
meeting
on
July
10th,
calling
it
to
order
a.
C
B
B
D
E
F
G
G
All
right,
so
you
guys
know
me
from
wabi-sabi
Japan
living
and
anyhow.
So
I
came
to
you
guys
over
two
years
ago
and
we've
been
doing
great
at
the
street
fair.
We
of
course
had
the
bones
eyes
and
the
kanji
calligraphy
and
on
pendants
and
and
on
art
pieces
and
doing
exceptionally
well
there,
and
we
continue
to
enjoy
the
the
street
fair.
We
then
opened
a
business
and
so
what
I
opened?
G
So
developing
strategies
for
companies
developing
category
products
for
companies
really
just
beautiful
brands
and
so
product
has
been
my
life,
so
it
was
a
natural
transition
to
open
the
store.
We
also
have
a
skincare
line
in
the
store
as
well.
So
if
I
come
into,
if
I
were
able
to
come
to
the
board,
would
I
be
able
to
bring?
Is
oh
yeah
make
a
statement?
G
What
I'd
be
able
to
bring
is
the
my
background,
of
course,
in
product,
my
background
being
at
the
at
the
village
fest
for
two
years,
absolutely
enjoying
it
and
my
background
now
being
a
business
owner
for
almost
a
year
in
Palm
Springs.
So
if
the
opportunity
comes
up,
I
would
love
to
serve
serve
on
the
board
with
you
guys,
I
would
love
to
be
able
to
to
help
with
whatever
projects
you're
working
on
and
help
to
move
the
the
village
fest
to
it
is
a
wonderful
festival
and
continue
to
be
a
wonderful
festival.
D
B
D
B
D
D
H
H
Secondly,
is
why
I'm
not
I'm
on
vacation
right
now,
so
I've
been
watching
a
lot
of
board
meetings
and
see
council
meetings
and
so
forth
and
I
noticed
that
parts
of
Recreation,
one
of
the
they're
very
controversial
issue,
is
pickleball
and
Hills
board
has
CBD
oil,
so
I
wanted
to
just
review
some
of
the
things
that
happened
when
I
was
on
the
board
with
CBT.
When
village
fest
started
interviewing
CBD
vendors,
we
felt
a
bit
uncomfortable
when
we
learned
that
CBD
is
extracted
from
the
cannabis
we
initially
felt.
H
Uncomfortable
approving,
CBD,
vendors,
village,
fete,
marijuana
and
hemp
are
both
excellent
sources
of
CBD,
as
well
as
vitamins
and
minerals.
Village
has
learned
that
CBD
extracts
from
the
marijuana
plant
contains
five
to
thirty
percent
THC.
The
THC
has
a
psycho
active
properties
that
causes
effects
ovulation
and
relaxation.
H
The
village
has
learned
that
CBD
extract
from
the
cannabis
contains
minimal,
TCH
and
by
law
only
can
contained
0.03
percent
to
be
considered
him.
In
fact,
the
TCH
levels
in
cannabis
are
what
differentiates
hemp
for
marijuana
village,
fest
line
that
US
farm
built
that
from
the
US
farm
bill
in
the
California
farm
bill
legislation,
Industries,
hemp,
industrial
hemp
can
now
be
farmed
in
California
legally,
and
this
is
something
I
just
learned
the
other
day.
If
a
hemp
is
planted
too
close
to
a
marijuana
crop.
H
On
a
personal
note,
with
all
this
discussion
regarding
CBD
I
started
more
research
on
CBD
for
the
village
fete
support
I
even
went
to
these
cannabis
summit
that
was
held
at
the
Camelot
theater
I
now
can
say,
I
think
I'm,
very
knowledgeable
about
CBD
and
its
benefits,
its
challenges,
its
properties
and
its
financial
gains.
I'm,
not
an
expert
yet
but
I'm
working
on
that,
in
fact,
I
hope
to
be
presenting
a
application
to
village
fest
2019
again
a
little
bit
more
about
CBD
in
the
1980's.
H
The
Reagan
administration
spent
a
lot
of
money
trying
to
verify
that
marijuana
causes
brain
damage
when
these
suspicions
were
proven.
False
the
administration
found
several
studies
that
lead
researchers
to
the
discovery
of
the
endocrine
system
in
the
human
body.
We
really
didn't
talk
too
much
about
that
in
regards
to,
and
that's
really
part
of
the
main
part
of
the
benefits
of
CBD.
H
H
It
real,
quick,
okay,
I
have
I,
would
like
to
sometime
meet
with
the
your
subcommittee
to
review
recommendations
that
I
have
because
of
the
research
I
have
in
with
my
former
experience
and
again
it's
with
all
the
uncertainties.
You
have
to
really
start
doing.
Research
I'm
glad
you
continue
with
your
subcommittee.
Thank.
D
You
very
much
that's
terrific.
Let
the
record
show
that
if,
if
the
subcommittee
would
like
to
invite
former
member
King
to
provide
input
as
a
citizen,
they
are
welcome
to
do
so
and
I
appreciate
you
coming
by,
for
your
still
shouldn't
see
your
phone
okay.
Are
there
any
other
public
comments?
Anybody
will
yell
at
us
today
we're
not
getting
yelled
at
today.
Okay,
board
comments:
okay,
I.
A
C
B
D
All
right,
that's
it
for
board
comments.
We
have
no
correspondence,
correct.
Okay,
the
consent
calendar
can
be
approved.
These
they're
two
items
on
it.
One
is
the
approval,
the
posting
of
the
agenda,
the
other,
is
approval
of
the
minutes
of
our
last
meeting.
And
if
you
recall,
we
skipped,
we
didn't
have
a
meeting
last
time.
So
can
I
get
a
motion
to
approve
the
consent
calendar
or
do
we
need
to
break
them
off
and
whoever
moves
that
can't
vote
on
it
if
they
weren't
here
at
the
meeting,
the.
D
Second,
please:
okay
Chris
seconds
all
in
favor
it
carries
okay,
okay,
legislative
actions.
This
is
where
all
of
you
come
in,
and
we're
very
grateful
that
you're
here
today
and
we're
gonna
try
and
keep
this
on
on
pace,
so
you'll
be
able
to
go
home
and
eat
dinner
before
eight
o'clock.
These
are
vendor
applications
and
the
first
one
is
primetime
Philly.
It's
Derek
pine
food
service,
hi,
Derek,
yeah
steak
sandwich
he's
a
current
vendor
and
he's
going
to
add
chicken,
Caesar,
salad
and
chicken
fajita,
tacos
and
I
say
you
have
helpers
today.
B
I
Grade
down
there,
but
what
I
did
notice
I'm
only
getting
like,
maybe
a
third
of
the
crowd,
because
I
only
do
Philly's
in
chicken,
so
I
feel
I
need
to
add
something
else
to
the
menu
with
utilizing.
The
stuff
I
already
have
keep
the
overhead
down
so
I
kind
of
walk
in
with
the
steaks
and
in
the
chicken
I
think.

B
B
D
B
B
J
Okay,
thank
you.
My
name
is
Jim
kidney,
and
this
is
Joe
hollandaise.
We
are
one
of
40
vendors
at
the
antiques
gallery
in
the
south
side
of
downtown
Palm
Springs.
We
were
one
of
the
original
vendors
that
was
that
opened
when
they
opened
up
five
years
ago.
So
we've
been
at
the
gallery
for
a
long
time
or
one
of
40
vendors
that
are
in
that
spot.
J
We
started
out
earlier
by
going
down
to
the
street
fair
and
taking
a
look.
We
had
participated
a
couple
years
ago
through
the
antiques
galleries
and
they
had
set
it
up
on
a
volunteer
basis
and
the
volunteer
basis
became
kind
of
unwieldy
because
you'd
have
to
sign
up
ahead
of
time.
Some
people
would
decide
it
wasn't
convenient
and
they
wouldn't
show
up,
etc,
etc,
and
so
we
went
with
antiques
galleries
and
we
as
a
vendor
are
committed
to
doing
the
street
fair
every
week
with
our
merchandise.
J
So
then
we
went
downtown,
walk
the
street
fair
to
see
if
our
merchandise
was
compatible
or
different
enough
compared
to
what's
downtown,
because
there's
there's
quite
a
bit
of
jewelry,
that's
down
there,
and
so
we
have
three
categories
that
that
we
deal
with.
One
is
custom
jewelry,
which
just
point
out:
okay,.
J
The
other,
the
other
area
that
we
deal
with
is
primarily
in
925
sterling
silver
merchandise,
both
vintage
and
recent
vintage,
which
is
less
than
five
years
old,
and
we
have
a
vendor
that
we
can
buy
from
with
Bali
artisan
jewelry,
and
so
to
give
you
an
idea.
That's
some
of
this
is
some
of
this
is
vintage
silver.
Some
of
these
bracelets
are
from
Bali.
This
is
this
is
an
antique
bracelet
with
a
gold
wash
on
it.
J
Anyway,
that
type
of
stuff-
and
then
the
other
category
that
we
saw
a
complete
void
of
that
we
have
quite
a
bit
in
our
in
our
booth
at
the
gallery
that
we
do
well
with
is
Native
American
jewelry,
and
so
we
have
done
some
research.
We
just
returned
from
a
trip
to
the
Midwest
where
we
went
through
and
so
and
met
some
vendors.
J
We
have
a
couple
of
couple
key
vendors,
one
specializes
in
a
state
jewelry,
which
is
this
more
the
silver
stuff
and
the
other
one
specializes
in
Native
Americans,
so
I've
brought
in
some
of
the
Native
American.
A
lot
of
it
is
rings
and
earrings
Native,
American
and
think
things
like
these
pieces
are
vintage
they're
well
over
50
years
old
and
we
buy
those.
We
shopped
like
50,
go
and
pass
it
around.
What.
D
B
B
J
So,
and
and
our
price
points
range
anywhere
from
maybe
a
low
of
twenty
to
thirty
dollars,
all
the
way
up
to
just
under
three
hundred
dollars.
This
piece
here
is
a
vintage
squash,
blossom
necklace
that
will
retail
for
about
250
but
moat.
The
core
price
points
that
we
have
are
basically
I'd
say:
40
to
100,
120
$25,
something
something
in
that
range.
J
D
J
E
A
A
J
C
So
I
know
there's
two
ways
that
you
could
sell
jewelry
at
village
best
one
is
to
for
it
to
be
actually
vintage,
jewelry,
50
years
old
or
older
I
believe
is
what
it
says,
and
the
rules
or
to
be
the
crafter
of
the
jewelry
yourself,
which
is
generally
what
you
know
most
of
the
people
that
you
see
out
there.
So
those
are
the
two
categories
so
either
it
has
to
be
made
by
your
own
hand
the
hand
of
the
person
at
the
booth,
or
it
has
to
be
vintage.
C
D
J
Wouldn't
say
it
throws
a
monkey
wrench
into
it.
I
think
that
it
really
limits
the
ability
of
us
promoting
the
antiques
galleries,
as
well
as
having
the
right
type
of
product
for
the
downtown
market.
Right
so
I
mean
we
we
have
when
we
were
there
before.
We
did
a
lot
in
costume,
jewelry
right.
I
can't
tell
you
that
it's
50
years
old,
it
could
be
from
general
30.
J
I
mean
I,
don't
know
that
kind
of
stuff
to
throw
to
throw
a
little
bit
in
the
mix.
One
of
the
things
that
we
looked
at
was
we
constantly
get
the
male
customer
wanting
to
buy
rings
and
you
look
at
vintage
rings
and
there
are
a
lot
of
them.
Are
female
rings
correct,
and
so,
when
we
went
to
this
vendor,
you
know
we
bought.
These
are
the
zuni's.
This
is
Zuni
Navajo
and
so
on.
We
look
for
things
that
could
satisfy
that
male
customer.
We
brought
these
in.
J
These
are
a
combination
of
types
of
bracelets
just
to
test
it
to
see
what
it
is.
Bali,
merchandise
I
mean
this
I
can't
say
this
is
50
years
old
or
50
years
old,
but
it's
definitely
vintage.
We
find
it
in
antique
stores
all
over
the
country
well
priced
and
we
bring
it
in
and
we
sell
this
type
of
stuff
very
well.
So
to
answer
your
question:
I
don't
know
if
10
percent
really
right.
J
J
To-
and
that
was
the
problem
before
you'd
have
vendors,
show
up
and
then
they'd
say
well,
I
just
don't
feel
like
bringing
out
lamps
or
furniture
or
things
like
that.
Next
thing,
you
know
that
we
wouldn't
have
anybody
represented
at
the
booth
and
for
us
to
commit
long
term.
That's
what
we're
interested
in
so
I,
don't
know
if
the
10%
throws
well.
A
A
H
D
J
C
That
that
is
a
problem,
because
we
we
are
here
only
to
follow
the
rules
put
forward
in
and
agreed
upon
by
the
City
Council,
and
so
there
are
the
two
things:
either
you
handcrafted
it
yourself
or
it's
50
years
old
and
considered
vintage.
So
if
you
can
present
a
booth
that
is
all
vintage,
then
I
would
personally
support
you
having
a
booth.
If
you
can't
do
that,
then
then
it
just
wouldn't
fit
within
the
rules
and
regulations
of
village
fest.
So.

D
D
No
and
I'll
tell
you
why
yeah
this
stuff
is
gorgeous.
That's
that's
not
the
issue.
The
issue
we
have
is
it
has
to
be
75%
handmade
and
that
whoever
makes
it
needs
to
sell
it.
We
we
go
through
this
all
the
time
with
the
jewelry,
so
it's
I
have
my
own
opinion
on
it,
but
I
want
to
hear
from
from
all
of
you.
Well,
it's.
A

H

I
B
E
C
D
B
B
B
L
L
11
years
now,
going
on
11
years
I
hand
make
my
rings
and
I
design
up
all
of
this
jewelry.
The
only
thing
I
really
have
produced
are
my
beaded
earrings
in
Bali
and
then
I
hand.
My
call
my
feather
earrings
I
put
these
together,
then
I'll
get
like
little
things
from
different
vendors,
like
the
you
know
like
these
little
cactuses
I
also
have
come
up
with
some.
L
I
by
the
chain,
yeah
I
by
the
chain,
I
have
a
vendor
I
work
with
it's
all
a
brass
base
with
a
heavy
heavy
layer
of
real
24
karat
gold.
So
it
doesn't
easily
turn
and
tarnish
it's
actually
the
best
quality
I
symbol.
All
of
it
was
symbol
all
of
these
100%.
It's
all
me,
I,
don't
have
anyone
that
I
wouldn't.
D
L
L
L
C
L
F
B
E
L
I
assemble
it
so
like
these,
you
know
the
stones
are
all
electroform,
but
then,
like
these
I
get
from
a
vendor
the
the
hoops,
but
then
certain
things
I
make
myself
like
I
made
these.

You
mind
if
okay,
my
federal
partners?
Okay,
thank
you
thank
you.
So
we
are
here
to
represent
Joshua
Tree,
National
Park
and
the
Mojave
Desert
Land
Trust,
as
well
as
the
two
national
monuments,
Santa
Rosa
and
San
Jacinto
National
Monument
with
BLM.
We
are
looking
to
provide
informational,
an
informational
table
at
the
fest
looking
to
do
outreach,
letting
people
know
what
our
public
lands
are
also
recruiting
for
volunteers
to
do
both
the
information
great
well.
Thank
you
for
coming
down
the
hill
to
be
with
us.

These
are
pieces
that
I
actually
make
construct
from
parts
they're
made
from
three
or
four
different
types
of
components.
The
gears
are
usually
automotive
gears
that
I
buy
and
I
weld
together,
combined
with
plumbing
pipe,
which
is
actually
new,
off-the-shelf
and
then
other
found
parts
such
as
the
gauges,
the
gauges
and
the
meters
are
vintage.
I
see
that
the
older,
the
better,
in
my
opinion,
because
I
for
the
artwork
on
the
front,
I,
don't
use
anything.
That's
plastic,
I
use,
high
quality
electrical
parts.
Porcelain
saw
that's
real.
These
are
real
bulbs.
D
M
I,
don't
I
don't
refer
to
it
as
steampunk
yeah,
there's,
there's
a
lot
of
confusion
and
I
think
that
there's
a
lot
of
similarities,
so
so
people
don't
quite
understand
the
difference
and
I've
talked
to
steampunk
artists
and
they
agree.
I
think
that
this
is
similar,
but
not
quite
the
same.
This
doesn't
have
the
element
of
Victorian
technology
that
it
would
have
if
it
were
technically
considered.
Steampunk
well.

Seriously,
we
did
actually
it's
in
that
little
bag
right
there
yeah,
really
we
who
are
you
what
we
do
is
we
we've
been
at
the
college
of
the
desert
for
the
past
four
and
a
half
years,
but
we
just
opened
up
a
store
right
down
the
street
from
those
pizza,
so
kind
of
know
what
that's
that,
but
this
is
kind
of
an
informational
thing
that
we
want
to
get
out
because
of
the
health
involved.
With
with
what
we're
doing,
we
saw
mobility
scooters.
