You
can
think
about
all
the
different
kinds
of
opposites
that
you
know.
Well
today
we
have
books
about
children
who
had
big
dreams
of
things
that
they
wanted
to
achieve
in
their
lives,
and
they
had
to
persevere.
That's
a
big
word
for
me
and
they
for
meaning
that
they
had
to
try
very
hard
over
and
over
again
to
achieve
their
dreams.
B
You
have
to
do
you
have
to
work
really
hard
to
achieve
your
dreams,
so
let's
learn
about
them
and
all
of
our
books
are
about
real
people
and
their
dreams.
Our
first
book
today
is
called
drum
dream
girl.
Well
there.
She
is
dreaming
of
a
drum
look
up
in
the
moon,
drum
dream
girl
how
one
girl's
courage
changed
music
by
margarita
engel
and
illustrated.

B
This
poem
was
inspired
by
the
childhood
of
a
chinese
african
cuban
girl
who
broke
cuba's
traditional
taboo
against
female
drummers
in
1932
at
the
age
of
10,
milo
castro,
zadariaga
performed
with
her
older
sisters
as
anacuana
cuba's
first
all-girl
dance
band,
milo
became
a
world
famous
musician
playing
alongside
all
the
american
jazz
greats
of
the
era
at
age
15.
She
played
her
bongo
drums
at
a
new
york
birthday
celebration
for
u.s
president
franklin
delano,
roosevelt,
where
she
was
enthusiastically
cheered
by
first
lady
eleanor
roosevelt.

And
here's
a
picture
of
a
picture
of
her
as
a
grown-up
lady.
She
has
a
message
for
us.
Each
one
of
us
makes
a
difference.
We
cannot
live
through
a
single
day
without
making
an
impact
on
the
world
around
us
and
we
have
a
choice
as
to
what
sort
of
difference
we
make
the
life
of
each
one
of
us
matters
in
the
scheme
of
things,
and
I
encourage
everyone,
especially
young
people,
to
make
the
world
a
better
place
for
people,
animals
and
the
environment.
B
B
There's
lots
of
different
things
that
you
can
do
to
make
this
world
a
better
place
all
right.
Let's
do
some
monkey
songs
together.
Do
you
remember?
Last
week
we
learned
the
sign
from
monkey
arms
just
like
this.
There
you
go
so
we're
gonna
have
three
little
monkeys
sitting
in
a
tree,
so
put
your
arm
flat
and
your
other
arm
like
this
there's
the
tree
growing
out
of
the
ground
sitting
in
a
tree.
A
A
A
All
right
here
we
go
the
itsy
bitsy
monkey,
climbed
up
the
coconut
tree
down,
came
a
coconut
and
hit
her
on
her
knee
out
came
a
lion
shaking
his
mighty
mane
and
the
itsy
bitsy
monkey
climbed
up
the
tree
again:
good
job,
everybody.
Okay,
let's
try
it
again.
Are
you
ready
the
itsy
bitsy
monkey
climbed
up
the
coconut
tree
down?
Came
a
coconut
and
hit
her
on
her
knee
ow
out
came
a
lion
shaking
his
mighty
mane
and
the
itsy
bitsy
monkey
climbed
up
the
tree
again
good
job.

See
some
worms
and
caterpillars
and
butterflies,
and
it
said
she
was
a
bug
hunter.

So
she
did
the
next
best
thing
and
trained
as
a
canine
nurse,
a
dog
nurse
hoping
the
veterinary
college
would
open
to
women.
After
a
few
years,
evelyn
cared
for
sick
greyhounds,
bulldogs
and
terriers.
She
fed
the
dogs,
took
their
temperature
and
gave
them
medicine,
but
in
her
heart
she
still
wanted
to
be
a
vet.

Hours
of
climbing
evelyn
was
rewarded
with
buzzing
bees
and
wasps
beetles
and
grasshoppers.
However,
she
soon
realized
she'd
made
a
terrible
mistake.
She
had
forgotten
the
fresh
limes
that
she
planned
to
squeeze
and
drink
as
evelyn
hunted
for
a
stream.
She
slipped.
She
grasped
at
plants
as
she
kept
tumbling.

her
name
is
dr

threat,
and
if
you
check
this

out,
you
can
read
all
of
these
questions.
It's
an
interview
with
her
and
you'll
be
able
to
find
out
what
is
her
favorite
insect
why
she
loves
insects?
What's
her
favorite
insect
fact,
how
do
you
get
to
be
an
entomologist
all
kinds
of
cool
things
that
you
can
read
about
a
present
day,
entomologist,
all

of
