Blair
beekman
here
for
the
meeting
yesterday,
my
phone's
acting
all
funny
I
mean
my
microphone
may
be
all
weird,
so
we
cut
out
last
night.
Sorry
about
that
to
speak
to
you,
ordinances
you'll,
be
passing
on
this
upcoming
agenda
can
have
you
know
future
streamlining
of
urban
village
ideas
and
policies.
You
know
I.
I
think
we
have
to
be
really
mindful
that
you
know
urban
villages
is
a
sensitive,
cautious
issue
and
we
need
to
act
accordingly
in
that
way
towards
it.
D
I
don't
think
we
should
just
breeze
through
making
everything
overly
efficient
and
streamlined
for
the
future
of
urban
village
ideas.
I
think
it
has
to
be
a
thought
out,
measured
approach
to
reach
each
urban
village
item
that
will
be
coming
up
in
our
future.
Good
luck
with
that.
I
had
a
few
other
comments,
oh
about
the
the
future
of
the
guadalupe
gardens
area,
a
hopeful
reminder
that
you
know
tow
truck
issues,
help
out
the
people
who
live
there
with
tow
truck
issues
as
much
as
possible.
Good
luck!
How
to
do
that!
D
E
Sure,
thank
you
vice
mayor
and
to
know
we
are
recommending
we
start
closed
session
at
9,
00
a.m
and
open
session
at
11.
E
Everything
on
the
agenda,
with
two
exceptions,
is
required
to
be
heard
before
the
end
of
the
year,
along
with
a
number
of
items
that
will
be
heard
on
the
28th,
so
we're
trying
to
load
those.
The
two
items
that
have
been
council
directed
don't
legally
need
to
be
heard.
E
The
7.1,
the
guadalupe
gardens
encampment
work
plan,
which
was
council
directed
to
come
back
on
this
date,
as
well
as
the
8.6
actions
related
to
quick,
build
emergency
interim
housing.
But
we
do
recommend
the
council
here.
Those
items.

D
Hi
everybody,
I'm
gonna,
try
to
not
use
my
microphone
and
hopefully
it
won't
cut
out
on
me.
I
think
my
microphone
is
at
its
end.
Sorry
about
that.
For
this
I
for
this
agenda,
I
wanted
to
quickly
offer
that
you're
going
to
be
extending
zoom
capabilities
to
the
end
of
july.
With
this
I
don't
know
how
much
longer
you're
going
to
be
doing
that
past
july,
you
worked
on
the
al
fresco
issue
to
to
extend
that
process.
D
I
think
I'm
in
favor
of
the
zoom
meetings
and
what
that
accomplishes
towards
kind
of
a
more
it
just
invites
more
of
the
community
to
the
process.
I
know
it
was
invented
in
the
age
of
kobe.
Then
you
may
want
to
end
it,
but
I
think
it
does
something
interesting
and
important,
and
I
hope
you
can.
It
can
be
a
bit
more
of
a
discussion
and
allow
it
to
continue.
D
There's
a
few
other
items
about
anti-displacement
issues
that
I
in
my
previous
item
about
home
key
stuff.
I
wanted
to
mention
that
you
know,
besides
home
key,
there's
a
real
importance
in
what
our
housing
department
works
on
and
they
have
been
working
on
for
generations
now
that
we
can
house
people
with
more
funding
and
more
subsidy
and
that's
really
important,
and
we
need
to
be
comfortable
to
talk
about
that
with
each
other.
That's
the
way
that
we
can
house
people
more
and
good
luck.
D
B
You
before
we
go
to
the
committee
for
a
motion
lee.
How
are
we
going
to
finish
this
fiscal
year
in
terms
of
that,
this
particular
meeting
anything
we
could
defer
out
to
august.
E
So
we're
doing
that
analysis.
Now
we've
picked
a
number
of
items
into
august
from
this
original
agenda.
As
of
now,
we
do
plan
on
having
a
normal
1
30
start
time
with
this
agenda,
since
it
is
lighter
than
next
week's,
but
we'll
continue
that
work
and
have
more
information
for
you
next
week
that
rolls.
B
C
D
Yeah
for
this,
for
this
consent,
calendar
there's
important
issues
and
my
my
phone
is
acting
all
funny.
I
hope
you
can.
Can
you
hear
me?
Okay,.
C
D
I
guess
I
will
simply
end
at
this
time.
Sorry
for
the
trouble.
B
Thank
you,
councilman
reyes,.
C
B
C
You
roll
call,
please
uranus,
yes,
davis,
yeah
jones,
hi,.
D
Hi
blair
beekman
here
to
quickly
offer
you're
going
to
have
an
upcoming
item
about
going
against
opposing
a
vta
reform
measure
about
how
elections
happen.
How
board
members
are
elected
and
stuff.
I
know
you're
against
it
in
san
jose,
but
I
think
it
offers
some
interesting
reform
ideas
that
we've
we've
really
been
talking
about
for
a
number
of
years.
Now,
good
luck
in
the
efforts
to
negotiate
that
and
what
can
be
a
good
negotiation
process
for
reform
for
the
vta
board
of
directors
process.
D
I
wanted
to
thank
yourselves
for
the
meeting
yesterday.
I
felt
it
was
really
interesting.
D
A
lot
of
interesting
people
were
there
a
public
comment
time
and-
and
my
words
earlier
I
mean
words
were
said
about
you-
know,
housing
and
and
energy-
that
they
they
were
saying
we're,
building
we're
moving
towards
a
future
of
what
is
open
democracy,
community
democracy,
and
that
was
just
so
nice
to
hear
I
mean
there
is
like
actually
hope
in
our
lives
and
our
community
what
we
can
be
working
towards,
and
it's
nice
to
be
reminded
of
that.
D
I
hope
we
can
start
really
doing
that
with
ourselves
and
you
know
to
people
like
whoever
was
did
those
weird
things
to
dev
davis
recently,
you
know
they
don't
have
to
do
those
things.
D
We
can
work
as
a
community
and
build
something
really
important
together,
we're
all
invited
to
the
process
there's
a
set
of
concepts
that
are
just
really
can
invite
everyone,
and
I
think
everyone
would
be
pleased
on
all
sides,
and
you
know
it
works
towards
the
things
I
think
we
all
are
trying
to
work
towards,
and
it's
learning
how
to
do
that
together.
I
think
we
can
do
it
this
time.
That
includes
voting
rights
issues.
D
You
know
health
and
human
services
a
whole
list
of
issues
that
are
just
things
that
we
all
can
agree
upon
and
good
luck.
We
can
bring
it
together
at
the
local
community
level.
Good
luck,
how
we
do
it
and
thanks
for
the
meeting
last
night,
brian.
C
F
Yes,
I
know
we're
not
supposed
to
talk
to
one's
particular
but
miss
davis.
I'm
really
sorry
that
happened
to
you
that
shouldn't
happen
to
any
family.
If
it
makes
any
difference,
I
I
apologize
for
the
putting
your
family
through.
That
was
wrong.
I
know
I
didn't
have
anything.
You
know
what
I'm
saying
I
don't
know.
I
just
felt
really
bad.
You
folks
put
out
a
lot
for
us.
