Hi, my name is farah luther. I'm a senior data analyst on the data team, I'm located in detroit michigan and I've been with git lab for a little over a year. Now I love working in the people space because it allows me to think about the story that data tells us we create strategies and set our company goals.

One of the things that's super important for me is every team member should be able to come into a space and feel like they're working with the smartest people are getting exciting challenges and they're constantly being pushed, and sometimes as organizations were amazing at this, sometimes we fall short, and this is really where data can help out.

One of the coolest things about working at gate lab is that we are global, so I'm not just working with people in the us, but I'm exposed to different nationalities and races and cultures, which is great because it helps me bring in these various viewpoints into the solutions that I build out to help improve the journey for team members.

I love gitlab's transparency about our team member metrics, including diversity, inclusion and belonging, and that our leadership team is constantly asking questions about what do we need to improve, and what should I be looking at to get there? One of the projects that I've collaborated with our div team on is the creation of the div analytics dashboard. This has been key in providing that data real time and strategies to support our company goals.

This is only the initial phase of what data has done to support and guide dib in its efforts here at gitlab, I'm really excited to see how div will continue to grow and how data will enable it so see you all. On the other side of this.
