Hey team welcome to a demo to Showcase observability features that our team has been building. We will showcase these features on a basic demo. App called tanoke. Inc first step is to confirm that the integrated observability tab has been enabled for the group. At the moment. This tab is behind a feature flag.

As we can see, the UI is usable and the corresponding backend has been provisioned. Now, let's go to the app it's a it's a very basic application, with only a couple of buttons. Let's try to generate errors.

We can also confirm that these errors are being sent to gitlab obserability backend as visible here now, let's go to the UI in order to see the errors choose, grid lab error tracking, as from the list of data sources, choose issues as the credit type and download game as the project.

These are the errors that we just sent. You will notice that a lot of fields are empty. At the moment we will be iterating upon these to get full variety with the Sentry backend.

Now, let's go back to the app and try to generate traces.

These are the specific Trace IDs that we just sent, let's copy one of them and choose tracing from the list of data sources.

Paste Chase ID also note that it might take some time for the traces to appear on the back end.

This is the specific place that we just sent note that this tries to imitate a real work done by a real application.

It's also possible to see all this traces that has been sent so far from the list of drop downs.

The details of the instrumentation itself can be seen on the app itself. It might prove helpful for an app that has been developed. Similarly, in JavaScript.
