Greetings all my name is jason collier, I'm the support operations manager here at git lab and today we're going to go over creating a macro in the zendesk ui.

So traditionally, you start here: you're going to need to click the admin icon and then you'll need to locate the macro script, which tint the macros page. Sorry, which tends to be the third in the third section here the manage section then there's macros after clicking on this you'll get this page, which will list every macro, both active and inactive, their basic usage who they're for um to create one you're, basically just going to go over here to this white button that will turn blue when you hover over it and click.

Add macro now from here you're going to go ahead and give it a name. So we're going to call this test macro and we'll go ahead and call take the description test macro for training um for who we want to do it. We're going to do me only in this case, but basically you can select group and then from here you can type out the groups you can support and bring up every support related. One we're gonna! Do me only just for the sake of making this easier.

Now from there you're gonna add your actions. So, let's just say: we're gonna have this at the status depending and we'll make the comment mode public and the comment description.

Reading.

That makes more sense for the message you're sending after that you're going to click the blue create button and from there you'll get a saving notification. You'll get a little notification up in the top right once this is done, saying that it has saved and created your macro.

And then from there you can, you know, go back and edit the macro whatever it is. You need to do. That's all there really is to creating a macro in the zendesk ui. I hope you found this educational. I look forward to seeing in the next video.
