From YouTube: Support Ops - Zendesk - Deactivating a macro
Description
Jason Colyer, Support Operations Manager, takes us through how to deactivate a macro in the Zendesk UI
A
Greetings
all
my
name
is
jason
collier,
I'm
the
support
operations
manager
here
at
gitlab
and
today
we're
going
to
go
over
deactivating
and
activating
a
macro
in
zendesk.
So
let
me
share
my
screen
and
we
will
get
started
so
you're
going
to
go
ahead
and
access
your
admin
panel
and
then
go
to
macros.
Again,
it's
under
manage
start
from
the
top
section
and
then
from
there
you're
going
to
locate
your
macro.
So
this
is
a
personal
macro.
We're
working
with
there's
actually
two
ways
to
deactivate
a
macro
and
activate
it.
A
You
know
the
easiest
way
in
my
opinion
is
to
locate
your
macro
and
click,
these
three
dots
and
then
just
go
to
deactivate
after
doing
so
it'll
deactivate.
If
we
go
to
inactive
there's
our
inactive
deactivated
macro,
how
to
activate
it
same
kind
of
thing,
click,
the
dots,
click
activate
and
it
will
activate
the
macro.
A
A
We
tend
to
not
delete
macros,
we
tend
to
focus
on
deactivation
instead
and
then
at
some
point
in
the
future.
We
can
decide
if
we
want
to
go
ahead
and
delete
a
macro
and
remove
it
completely.
We
do
that
because,
once
it's
deleted,
it's
gone,
the
id
value
is
gone.
We
can't
really
revert
that
way.
Usage
data
and
anything
that
could
have
come
from
that
is
pretty
much
gone.
