A
Hi
everybody-
this
is
Mike
linkovich
talking
and
thank
you
very
much
for
the
the
opportunity
to
kind
of
give
a
very
quick
overview
of
some
of
the
accomplishments.
That's
happened
in
jakarti
ee
over
the
last
year.
For
those
who
don't
know
me
I'm
the
executive
director
of
the
eclipse
Foundation,
which
basically
makes
me
the
the
cheerleader
in
Chief.
A
A
A
A
But
there's
been
a
lot
of
people
from
the
community
that
have
really
rallied
around
this
and
made
this
made
these
releases
possible
and
the
original
promise
when
we
started
five
years
ago,
was
that
we
would
get
ee
moving
forward
again
and
that's
really
the
accomplishment
that
happened
with
with
ee10
and
we'll
talk
a
little
bit
more
about
the
specifics
of
that
later,
with
in
terms
of
some
of
the
major
marketing
accomplishments
in
in
the
last
year.
Of
course,
here
we
are
with
your
Jakarta
one
live
stream.
A
Today,
I
heard
earlier
that
we
have
over
600
attendees
so
far,
maybe
that
number's
even
gone
up,
but
that's
that's
fantastic.
A
The
tech
talks
have
been
a
really
consistent
success
throughout
the
year
and
the
the
regional
Jakarta
one
live.
Streams
have
been
a
huge
success,
offering
Jakarta
one
content
in
German,
Chinese,
Japanese
and
Portuguese.
That's
something
that
we're
very
proud
about
and
and
the
the
the
staff
of
the
coast.
A
Foundation
has
spent
a
lot
of
time
working
on
in
terms
of
supporting
this
through
through
the
past
year
and,
of
course,
we've
gone
to
other
events
as
well,
there's
at
eclipsecon,
but
then
also
others
like
Jay,
conf
and
J,
nation,
jvcn
and
others.
So
the
team
has
been
very
busy
and
very
active
and
something
that
I
think
that
we've
really
been
working
hard
to
get
the
message
out
in
terms
of
growth.
A
Overall
we've
seen
60
growth
in
the
in
the
member
organizations
growing
the
29
organizations,
we've
had
a
hundred
and
35
project
committers
in
total,
but
that's
an
eight
percent
growth
year
over
year,
we've
had
a
three
percent
growth
in
the
E
for
J
committers,
a
33
growth
in
the
lines
of
code,
that's
going
into
the
total
of
jakarti
specifications,
but
also
the
tck
and
the
reference
in
the
the
compatible
implementation,
glass
fish
and
we've
seen
steady
growth
in
the
number
of
Open
Source
projects
throughout
ee
for
Jay
and
jakarti
e
as
well.
A
And,
of
course,
we
wouldn't
be
here
without
the
support
of
our
members,
so
really
want
to
call
out
and
say
thanks
in
particular
to
our
strategic
members,
pyera
Tommy
tribe
and
then
some
of
the
big
players,
Oracle
IBM
and
Fujitsu.
Thank
you
so
much
for
that.
A
All
that
you've
done
both
in
supporting
the
the
staff
and
the
finances
of
and
the
marketing
of
the
jakarti
E
working
group,
but
also
in
supporting
and
investing
in
developers
throughout
throughout
this
journey,
and
this
this
has
been
I,
think
the
the
key
success
that
we've
seen
in
reinvigorating
the
the
the
what
was
known
as
the
Java
ee
ecosystem
is:
we've
seen
growth
in
the
products
that
are
compatible
with
the
jacarity
specifications
and
that's
something
I
think
that
we're
particularly
proud
about
it's.
A
If
you
looked
at
the
history
of
Javi
e,
you
know
the
list
of
vendors
that
were
supporting
the
specifications
had
been
steadily
declining
for
quite
a
few
years,
and
we've
really
changed
the
slope
of
that
line
completely
and
with
so
with
a
number
of
new
products
seeking
jakarti
compatibility.
A
So
we
have
a
total
of
39
platform,
implementations,
17
web
profiles
and
three
core
profiles
in
2022.
So
far
already
and
core
profile
is
brand
brand
new
I
mean
I,
think
that
really
speaks
to
a
reinvigoration
of
the
ecosystem
around
the
Enterprise
Java.
A
So
what
do
we
actually
deliver
when
we
talk
about
a
Jakarta
ee
release?
So
there's,
of
course,
there's
specifications.
A
A
It's
it's
a
real
one
of
the
real
important
things
to
to
mention
about
the
success
of
cardi
e
is
the
fact
that
the
tck
is
now
open.
Source
has
made
a
lot
of
things
simpler
in
terms
of
cleaning
compatibility
with
with
with
the
cardi
specifications
and
then
finally
compatible
implementations.
A
So,
unlike
the
JCP,
we
no
longer
have
a
normative
reference
implementation,
so
compatible
implementations
are
a
key
part
of
delivering
on
the
promise
of
the
specifications
in
the
tck
and
I
want
to
call
out
the
the
work.
That's
happened
in
projects
like
glassfish,
but
also
open
Liberty
in
terms
of
providing
the
compatible
implementations
that
help
us
make
these
releases.
Of
course,
all
the
products
that
we
listed
in
the
previous
slide
are
compatible,
but
these
open
source
compatible
implementations
are
really
what
help
us
get
the
releases
out.
The
door.
A
We've
also
seen
growth
in
ee
for
J
new
projects.
So
there's
been
a
number
of
a
number
of
new
projects:
I'm
not
going
to
go
through
the
whole
list
there,
but
a
number
of
new
projects
in
terms
of
helping
provide,
compatible
implementations
of
new
specifications
and
there's
also
been
a
group,
a
real
group
effort
around
moving
the
specifications
forward
and
creating
new
specifications
like
config
RPC
Commons
data
Etc.
So
this
is
really
showing
the
vibrancy
of
the
community
and
the
ecosystem.
I'm.
A
Bringing
this
code
forward
and
again
jakarti
ee10
I,
think,
is
really
the
the
feather
in
the
cap
of
the
whole
community
that
this
year
you
know
this
has
been
a
five-year
Journey
culminating
in
this
release,
where
we
started
we're
finally
starting
to
deliver
new
innovation
to
the
to
the
community,
to
the
platform
to
the
ecosystem
and
starting
to
move
this.
This
technology
forward
and
the
fact
that
we
are
able
to
do
this
in
a
Community
Driven
way
is
I.
A
Think
a
Real
Testament
to
the
hard
work
of
everybody.
That's
been
involved
and
not
only
does
moving
this
forward,
but
also
you
know,
setting
up
the
specification
process
establishing
that
and
turning
it
into
a
repeatable
process
that
allows
us
to
deliver
these
releases.
A
So,
in
terms
of
the
the
main
one
of
one
of
the
major
things
is
the
in
the
jakarti
E10
platform
is
the
the
release
of
the
new
core
profile,
which
is
really
targeting
micro,
microservice
deployments,
or
you
know,
and
lightweight
deployments,
and
the
work
that
went
into
CD
CDI
light
to
make
that
possible,
and
so
some
of
the,
in
addition
to
the
the
ee
core
profile,
some
of
the
other
features
included
CDI
lights,
which
is
which
helped
me
make
the
core
profile
possible,
but
also
adding
open
ID
connect,
support
to
Jakarta
security,
3.0,
moving
forward
with
Jakarta
persistence,
3.1
and
and
the
restful
Services
3.1
as
well.
A
A
So
please
get
involved,
participate
in
the
in
the
open
source
projects,
participate
in
the
specification
process
as
an
individual
or
get
your
organization
involved
by
becoming
an
eclipse,
Foundation
member
and
by
joining
the
the
the
dracardi
working
group
and
getting
directly
involved
in
the
specification
process.
A
So
with
that
I
want
to.
Thank
you.
It's
been.
It's
been
quite
a
journey
over
the
last
couple
years
again.
I
just
want
to
reiterate
that
there's
been
a
lot
of
great
people
that
have
worked
very,
very
hard
to
deliver
to
the
community
on
the
promise
of
Jakarta,
ee
and
I've
been
very
pleased
and
excited
to
be
a
small
part
of
this.
This
community
journey
and
I
just
want
to
congratulate
everybody
involved
in
the
ee-10
release
and
helping
us
get
jakarti
e
to
where
it
is
today.
