I
am
wanting
linking
fields
to
work
and
I
have
been
scrounging
around
in
bugzilla,
which
is
a
very
dangerous
and
scary
place
to
go
I
found
out
and
tried
to
compile
things
that
are
related
to
linking
but
linking
fields
and
how
they
work
and
how
we
can
make
them
work.
So
I
created
I,
originally
created
one
doc
thinking.
Oh,
this
will
help
and
then
I
realized
I
needed
two,
so
I'm
gonna
put
them
in
the
chat.

been
fun
separating
all
of
our
online
resources
and
putting
them
in
the
776,
which
is
for
different
formats,
so
that
now
it'll
say
for
print
version.

place

check

edit
the

also
get
that

smart
validator
is

reports,
and
you
can
do
that.
I
can't
remember
what
validate
Rook
record
structure
means,
but
if
you
don't
click
that
group
results
by
error,
you
get
this
yeah.

times

you
would
want
it
that
way
and
they're
so
like
if
you,

they
were
all
together-

you
have
a
lot
where,
like
oh,
it
looks

year,

could
export
it
out,
but
Mark
edit
I've
edited
files
that
had
I
think
the
largest
was
like

records
and
it
handled
it.

problem,
but
I
do
have
a
fast
computer.

I
have

remember

I

that,

only
thing

will
not
tell
you
is
if
your
records
have
problems
with
the
item
record,
like
you
forgot
to
put
the
library
code
and
koha
won't
take
it
because
it
needs
an
item
record.
The
first
time
you
import
and
you
forgot
to
mat,
or
you
spelled
out
the
library
name
in
Mark,
edit
and
koha.
It
wants
the
code
or
you
spelled
out
the
item
type
in
Mark,
edit
and
KOA
wants
the
code
or
the
collection
group.

Exactly
that
is
the
spirit
of
KOA
at
koha
in
Maori
means
gift,
but
a
gift
with
an
obligation
to
share

give
back

I
think
all

us

have
received
even

little
too
complex
for
me
to
find
it
right
now,

if
anybody
ever
runs
across
difficulties
with
this,
there
are
ways
to
code
your
encoding
level
for
your
record
as
more
of
a
minimal
level,
even
if
it's
not
and
then
the
cataloging
source
won't
turn
up
as
an
error.

validating
in
a
higher
level
like
Mark
edit,
you
can
kind
of
trick.

library
is
in
Germany
and
the
rest
of
our
libraries
are
around
the
world,

I
import
a
lot
of
records
from
the
German
National
Library,
which
uses
a
hierarchical
record
structures
a
lot
and
they
use
the
linking
on
the
on
the
W
field
I'm
using
which
works
with
use
control
number
in
koha.

throw
out
that
having
a
Serial
record
for
an
entire
monographic
series
is
quite
common
because
it
might
be
a
monographic
series,
but
it's
open-ended,
which
makes
it
serial-ish
and
oftentimes.
That
is
a
real,
necessary
thing
for
libraries
to
have
for
Acquisitions
for
how,
because
they
subscribe
to
the
monographic
series
and
they're
receiving
them
as
serial
issues.
They
just
simply
then
go
into
a
cataloging
workflow
for
a
monographic
cataloging
record,
which
will
have
a
parent-child
relationship
to
the
serial
record.
