From YouTube: Adaptive Cards Video Player Bot on Teams
Description
During this 32-minute Developer-focused demo, Alexis Kinzelin sets up an Adaptive Card that plays video content within Teams. Extends “Company Communicator” app and uses SSO authentication, Microsoft Teams “stage view” and deep linking to play full screen video, no redirection to a web-browser. For videos hosted on SPO or public hosted. Video owner configures Adaptive card via personal bot that generates an Adaptive Card with deeplink to send to users. Recipients with permissions to SharePoint site hosting video, open video without having to authenticate. Sample code and Q&A. This demo is taken from the Adaptive Cards community call – February 2022, recorded on February 10, 2022.

adaptive

that
we
are
trying
to
solve
today
is

one:

working

people

the
communication
team.
Basically,
the
the
organization
are
now
adopting
microsoft
team
as
being
the
solution
to
communicate
and
collaborate
and
as
you
move
and
use
teams
more
and
more,
you
want
to
as
well
switch
the
way
you
communicate
on
the
different
microsoft
solutions.

you
want
to
move
from
emails
to
teams,
artists,
you
want
to
expand
your
communication
opportunities
and
channels
into
microsoft
teams,
and
so
one
of
the
main
ask
that
we
receive
from
customer
is
as
a
communication
team.
I
want
to
use
microsoft
teams
to
send
messages
to
various
diverse
and
large
audiences
into
my
organization,
and
so
one
of
the
solutions
that
we
use
a
lot
that
we
advocate
the
solution
very
much,
because
it's
very
convenient
and
very
useful.
The
name
of
this
solution
is
called
company
communicator.

is
an
open
source
project
available
on
github,
and
so
basically,
what
this
solution
does
is
to
let
people
like
I
would
call
martha
marta
is
from
the
communication
team.
She
wants
to
send
a
communication
to
a
group
of
people
in
teams,
so
she
has
an
interface
to
prepare.
The
message
provide
a
title,
an
image,
some
links
and
some
content,
and
this
will
be
sent
to
the
audience
in
the
form
of
this
adaptive
card
right.

solution
provides

as
you

this
is
one
example

it
is
an
open
open
source
solution,
you
can
refactor
this
card
with
any
content
and
as
you
like

no
limitation
there,

the

deployed

solution

solution

we
provide
is
to
say

do
that
you
can
use
a
animative
gif,
so

play

your
video
and
then
you
just
convert
that
to
animated
gif,

then
you
send
a
gif
instead
of
a
jpeg
file
or
anything
like
that.

does
the
trick,
but
it
doesn't
last
very
long.

and

basically
you
don't
have
any
sound
and
basically
it's
very
short
sequences,
so
we
definitely
had
to
find
a
better
answer
to

problem,

so
this
is
how
we
try
to
investigate
different
options
here,
and
so
the
good
thing
with
microsoft
team
is
that
this
is
a
platform,
and
so,
as
a
platform,
you
have
many
ways
to
integrate
your
application
into
teams,
and
so
we
thought
a
bit
out
of
the
box.

with
the
combination
of
adaptive
cards,
supported,
content

channels,
but
basically
the
challenge
we
have
today
that
you
cannot
play
a
video
in
an
attacking
card
in
teams.

running
in
teams,
but
the
combination
of
the
three
does
not
work
as
of
today.

solution

will

today
is
to
do
exactly
what
you

and
