From YouTube: How to Export DXF 2D Cutting files from 3D Design in FreeCAD

The procedure is:

First I took these DXF files as an example: File:Trencherdxfs.zip. So, what we need is a 2D drawing for the face to be cut, with DXF format.

These are the steps by Roberto:

"Follow Abe's procedure: DXF_Export_in_FreeCAD (I'd add that to see the DXF options, I had to go to Draft Workbench before). But do not export yet.

1. Open the FreeCAD file to export.
2. Go to Draft Workbench.
3. Select the object to export.
4. Select a standard view (keys 1-6), which shows the face to be cut.
5. Go to Draft menu - Shape 2D view.
6. Select the new object Shape2DView and check it's ok.
7. Export as Autodesk DXF (*.dxf).
8. Open the DXF file and check it's ok.

In this video I'm going to show you how I exported DXF files, the first step is followed before see here from a B.

So we have to disable the automatic clicking in the Preferences frico, so I'm going to start freaking and if we go to preferences, then import/export we can see the XS options. So first we have to have to go to raft workbench and now we can see the the XS options.

These two options are usually marked, so I'll mark those options and then apply. Ok. Now he will to this link and look for your regression. Freak I have the point 16, so I download this file.

Here I have the downloaded files, files and I copy them and put on your free cat folder. You have to show hidden files to see the frickin folder, and here you just paste those files and replaced okay, now I recommend you to restart free cat.

Okay, now you can open the file. You want to export as a DXF file, so you have to go to draft workbench and select the object and which is the proper standard view. This is the right one and go to trust menu and shape to the EPU.

Now, and this is the review you can see, it's just two dimensions, only two dimensions and it looks correct so now we just select this view and export as a DXF file out to desk the XS, and you can open the file. You just exported the XS and you have on the excessive file with 95 shapes.
