However, for a brand new welder, this gives a good representation of what your early welds may look like...with a little bit of why. They can be fairly ugly and unimpressive. Have fun with it. Play with the machines settings and adjustments. With time and practice you will become more experienced, confident and your welds much cleaner. Welding is an acquired skill and there is a lot to learn. Very few people out there, including the critics, ever picked up a torch for the first time and laid perfect beads, so don't get discouraged.

Welcome to mig welding for beginners, there are several ways to learn: the basics of welding I checked out some books in the library watched online videos and take a five hour MIG welding workshop. The best way to learn is by actually welding. I am also a beginner, so the wells in this video will not be perfect, but they may be close to what you can expect when starting out once you are familiar with the process start practicing by properly adjusting the settings on your welder and don't forget your personal protective equipment.
