In addition to being made available on Primetime for internal Red Hat audiences, the [What's New] OpenShift release update and the [What's Next] OpenShift roadmap briefing will simultaneously be made available to the general public (including customers and partners) through OpenShift.tv.
Why are the [What’s New] and [What’s Next] briefings being broadcast on OpenShift.tv for customers and partners?
Making this information live and available to partners and customers will drive further engagement with our developer and technical communities, and will contribute to our open culture by engaging target audiences in our latest product developments. OpenShift.tv may be leveraged to build advocacy for our portfolio within customer accounts.
What does this mean for the field regarding these timely updates from the BU?
New information on OpenShift releases and updates to the OpenShift roadmap will be made available to customers through OpenShift.tv at the same time it is made available to our internal field audiences. Red Hatters are encouraged to attend through the internal Primetime invitation for access to secure Q&A with the product team.

In this video we will look at different ways to scale the worker nodes of an IPI based cluster up and down. We will see how easy it is to scale up and scale down a cluster manually. We will understand the architecture concepts behind the scaling. Next we will look at the concepts of auto scaling and create the necessary OpenShift components, generate workload and autoscale the cluster. In this video we focus on a Serverless workflow within Kubernetes, specifically Knative running within OpenShift 4. We begin the workflow by building our application with Knative's build component. utilizing a CICD pipeline and OpenShift's native build system. We then run our application using Knative Serving, which will dynamically scale our application based on current load. We then check out Knaitve eventing to capture emited message bus events through our subscription. Later in the video we find a bug within our application and we inspect how to best roll out the fix using a canary release which allows us to slowly validate the fix. Finally, we stop the traffic flow to our KService and show our application scaling down to zero, actively waiting for traffic to come to it.

In this video we will explore configuring OAuth to specify an identity provider with OpenShift 4. We will also walk through creating a Custom Resource (CR) that describes the identity provider. We will continue to show how users authenticate against the API and access their OpenShift Cluster.

Through custom definitions, OpenShift can be enhanced with first class resources that can be manipulated through the OpenShift API. Operators use this technique to allow users to deploy and manage applications using their domain specific concepts at the OpenShift level. This video demonstrates the AMQ Streams operator and its use of resources to deploy and use a Kafka cluster.
