permit

awning

a
supportive
columns
located
at
the
southeast
corner
of
East,
Passyunk,
Avenue
and
Moore
Street.
The
awning
covers
the
entirety
of
the
sidewalk
at
1801,
East,
Passyunk,
Avenue,
fronting
on
Passyunk
Avenue
and
Moore
Street
and
encompasses
a
street
light
and
exhaust
fan
vents.

City
Planning
Commission
reviewed
this
bill
at
this
meeting
on
February
17
2022
with
the
following
concerns.
This
encroachment
is
not
consistent
with
the
complete
Street
policy.
It
says
a
bad
precedence
for
development,
as
it
was
done
hastily
with
a
little
time
for
review
the
view
of
The
Pedestrian
Crossing
light
is
partially
obstructed
by
the
Omni.
The
sidewalk
will
be
dark
at
night
and
the
second
floor.
Apartment
of
the
building
will
not
be
able
to
open
this
window
on
Moore
Street
due
to
the
commercial
kitchen
exhaust
Hood
venting
through
the
awning
and
underneath
their
Windows.

proposed

be
stricken

used

traffic.
It
right
away
for
sewer
and
drainage
purposes
will

reserved
within
the
portion
of
Swanson
Street

stricken

accommodate
the
existing
intercepting
sewer
running
through
Swanson.

changes
proposed
for
response
in
the
street
have
been
coordinating
with
the
Sharice
Department
Plan
Swanson
Street
Improvement
project
to
ensure
the
city's
proposed
roadway
and
streetscape's
improvements
are
accomplished
or
accommodated
as

further
condition
of
this
proposed
Street.
Striking
certain
portions
of
Swanson
Street,
which
are
currently
shown
is
not
legally
open
per
the
Streets
Department
Records
will
be
dedicated
to
the
city
as
a
public
right-of-way
by
the
abutting
property
owner.
These
actions
will
facilitate
the
Redevelopment
of
the
adjacent
former
industrial
site
into
a
commercial
shopping
center.

as
to
replace
all

existing
Ballers
on
17th
Street,
Art,
Street
and
JFK
Boulevard.

Ballers
will
be
located
within
the
Furnishing
zone
of
these
streets,
except
at
the
intersection
of
17th
and
JFK
Boulevard.
All
the
all
of
the
Ballers
will
be
five
feet
apart
and
will
be
matching
the
Ballers
constructed
on
the
1800
block
of
Art
Street.
The
the
purpose
to
construct
updated
security
Ballers
is
to
prevent
unauthorized,
Motor,
Vehicles
intrusion
into
the
unprotected
pedestrian
Plaza
and
the
sidewalks
around
the
Comcast
Center
buildings.

Commission
had

previously
approved
bill
number
070237,
which
was
to
allow
for
the
construction
of
the
current
security
Ballers
and
Planters
in
the
right-of-way
the
bill.
The
current
bill
is
consistent
with
the
previous
approval.

city's
art
commission
has
also
approved
this
encroachment
and
the
design
of
the
Ballers.
Therefore,
the
Planning
Commission
at
its
meeting
on
November
17
2022,
recommended
a
bill
number
220904
for
approval
as
item
inequa

accord
with
previous
policy

Street
will
be
reduced
from
100
feet
to
80
feet.

in
December
of
2021
for
this
site.
