A
A
B
National
League
of
Cities
is
an
outstanding
organization.
I've
been
fortunate
to
be
elected
to
the
board
of
directors
of
the
National
ATIS.
It
ease
and
it's
an
organization
that
represents
cities
all
over
the
country,
from
very
small
villages
to
large
cities
like
city
of
Philadelphia.
So
it's
a
great
opportunity
to
network
with
my
colleagues
from
all
around
the
country
and
really
talk
about
a
lot
of
the
common
issues
that
we
all
share
regardless.
A
B
A
goal
the
task
force
was
to
come
up
with
some
common
themes
that
were
addressed
all
the
issues
that
we
have
in
cities,
issues
like
reducing
gun,
violence,
trying
to
address
homelessness
and
housing
instability,
as
well
as
creating
a
skilled
workforce
and
really
addressing
our
infrastructure.
These
are
issues
that
cities
in
rural
parts
of
America
urban
areas
like
City
of
anafi,
all
have
challenges,
and
so
we
came
together
in
a
bipartisan
way.
B
A
Mentioned
some
of
the
the
issues
that
you
are
working
to
address
since
building
infrastructure
addressing
homelessness,
addressing
gun
violence.
These
are
just
part
of
the
platform,
the
agenda
that
you're
putting
forward.
Why
is
important,
though,
to
work
as
part
of
this
organization?
Does
it
help
you
to
have
more
of
a
collective
voice?
Well,.
B
It
helps
us
because
we
were
able
to
lobby
our
members
of
Congress.
Not
only
do
we
have
our
National
Conference
normally
in
the
fall,
the
air,
we
also
do
a
March
conference
in
DC
and
the
last
day
that
count
that
conference
we
actually
Lobby
our
members
of
Congress
and
talk
about
the
issues
that
are
important
from
us
for
issues
like
the
Community
Development
Block
Grant,
which
provides
funding
to
our
cities
to
a
whole
host
of
issues.
B
I'm
part
of
the
large
City
Council,
and
so
we're
always
looking
at
different
ideas
and
things
I
can
bring
back
to
the
city
of
Philadelphia
and
learn
from
our
sister
cities
from
cities
like
San,
Antonio
or
Los
Angeles
or
New
York,
or
even
smaller
cities
I'm
trying
to
get
different
ideas
that
can
help
us
in
the
city
of
photography
to
really
improve
the
quality
of
life
for
our
residents.
Thanks.
