the

of
Tennessee.
Now

The

Day

A
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker
I
am
pleased
and
proud
to
introduce,
as
our
pastor
of
the
day
my
pastor
from
First
United
Methodist
Church
in
Tullahoma
Reverend,
Ricky,
Wade
Reverend.
What
group
Wade
native
Tennessean
born
and
raised
in
Giles
County
County
grandson
of
a
sharecropper
graduated
from
Richland
High
School
in
1989
upon
graduation.
He
joined
the
Navy.
A
A
Also
during
this
I
think
year
around
that
time,
as
he
says,
he
got
what
he's
called
he's
often
said
from
the
pulpit.
It's
a
smack
upside
the
head
from
God
and
decided
that
it
God
had
called
him
to
the
ministry.
So
he
went
to
the
University
of
South
in
Swanee
and
got
his
master
of
divinity
degree
and
began
serving
the
Methodist
churches
in
Tennessee,
mostly
along.
A
A
For
six
years,
I've
certainly
just
come
to
know
him
he's.
Certainly
a
man
of
God
he's
been
my
spiritual,
mentor
and
and
and
I'm
looking
forward
to
hearing
him
give
a
word
of
God
to
each
of
you,
please
Pastor
Ricky
Waite.
D
We
ask
that
you
would
sow
God
and
bless
the
general
assembly
of
the
great
state
of
Tennessee
that
they
may
serve
the
people
of
this
state
with
faithfulness
and
integrity
that
they
may
have
the
strength
and
the
courage
to
lead
us
forward
and
that
they
would
enact
those
laws,
as
shall
be
pleasing
in
your
sight,
build
a
hedge
of
protection
about
this
honorable
assembly,
keep
them
and
their
families
safe
and
guard
them
from
Evil.
On
every
front.
A
C
B
F
G
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker
members,
I
do
have
an
announcement.
I
I
want
to
welcome
someone
you're
you're,
going
to
get
upset
at
this
at
first,
but
let
me
explain
to
you:
I
actually
have
the
very
best
intern
that
anybody
has
in
the
house
chamber
this
year.
No
don't
be
sad
well
when
I
sat
down
and
talked
to
her
I
realized
why
she's,
probably
the
best
that
anybody
has
she's
actually
from
Kelly
keys
in
District.
This
is
little
Jalen
up
here.
Y'all
make
her
feel
welcome.
B
H
I
Thank
you,
Mr.
Thank
you.
Mr
Speaker,
this
week
we
my
class
my
high
school
class.
We
lost
one
of
our
really
special
classmates
to
a
heart
ailment
and
her
name
was
Amber
Carr
Amber
a
couple
years
ago
she
lost
her
sister.
Her
sister
name
was
Atiana
Jefferson
who
went
to
school
graduated
with
my
brother.
I
Atiana
was
watching
Amber's
child
and
she
saw
a
flashlight
shining
through
the
window,
and
so
she
got
up
to
go
look
to
see
what
was
flashing
through
her
window.
Many
of
you
may
remember
this
story,
and
so
she
looks
out
the
window
and
was
a
police
officer
who
shot
through
the
window
and
shot
her
because
he
was
doing
a
welfare
check
and
thought
it
was.
I
He
was
at
the
wrong
house,
and
so
she
lost
her
sister,
her
mother
passed
away
last
year
and
they
considered
it
from
heartache,
and
then
she
passed
away
this
year
and
so
Amber's
two
children
now
have
no
immediate
family
living
that
they
know
of
so
just
keep
these
young
children
in
your
thoughts
and
prayers
and
as
they
prepare
to
lay
my
classmate
Amber
Carr
to
rest
on
this
weekend.
Thank
you.

P
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker
I
rise
today
on
at
the
request
of
my
colleague,
Senator
London
Lamar,
the
chairman
of
the
house,
I
mean
the
Senate
Democratic
caucus.
She
is
doing
her
annual
capitals
closet
for
the
female
interns
now
I'm,
not
sure
where
she
got
this
idea
from,
but
the
capitals
closet.
If,
if
you
have
any
female
clothing
for
the
interns,
Senator
Lamar
asks,
did
you
bring
them
by
her
office
on
the
seventh
floor
by
next
Thursday?
Thank
you,
Mr
speaker
thank.
N
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker
members
I'm
pleased
to
announce
that
next
Wednesday
February
8th,
is
University
of
Tennessee
day
on
the
hill
Wednesday
February
8th
I
have
been
told
there
will
be
two
special
guests
I'm,
not
at
Liberty
to
tell
you
who
those
guests
are,
but
they'll
be
two
special
guests
joining
us,
possibly
a
third
and
so
rumors
are
running
rampant.
One
of
those
is
Peyton.
Manning
I
will
not
confirm
or
deny
that
he
will
be
here
on
Wednesday
February
8th.
So
please
wear
your
orange.
J
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker
members,
the
two
Transportation
Omnibus
bills
have
been
filed.
We
are
eagerly
awaiting
your
amendments.
If
you
have
a
bridge
or
a
section
of
roadway
that
you
would
like
to
get
named
in
your
District,
please
get
those
amendments
written
and
to
my
office
as
soon
as
possible.
That
is
House
Bill
138.
The
other
omnibusville
is
House
Bill
137
for
specialty
license
plates.
The
deadline
will
be
here
before
you
know
it
so
ad
quickly
and
please
get
those
amendments
to
my
office.
Thank
you,
Mr
speaker
thank.
Q
Q
R
R
Those
who
almost
didn't
make
it
to
the
tables
for
the
end's
turns
but
they're
going
to
make
it
to
the
table
chairman
dargan,
which
is
the
perfect
segue
for
you.
We
got
this
great
event
coming
up
called
ties
for
turns.
Y'all
heard
of
that.
No
ties
for
turns
ties
for
turns
is
an
annual
event
that
we
do
where
we
take
donations
from
the
members,
especially
for
all
of
our
new
members,
bring
your
ties.
We
make
sure
that
our
interns
get
ties.
They
learn
how
to
tie
ties
if
they
don't
know
how
to
tie
it.
R
It's
a
great
opportunity
to
fellowship
with
our
interns,
both
male
and
female,
so
female
interns,
if
you're
listening,
you're
welcome,
we
will
have
breakfast
also
and
I
will
actually
remember
the
date
on
the
next
announcement.
But
if
you
can't
bring
the
ties
by
4
19
come
visit,
us
in
the
East
Wing
419.
bring
your
ties,
drop
them
off
sit
down,
have
a
glass
of
water
with
us.
Let's
talk,
let's
talk
some
legislation
and,
let's
bond.
R
O
You
representative
himmer,
thank
you,
Mr
Speaker,
apologies
for
being
out
of
order,
but
wanted
to
welcome
our
page
today.
It's
constituent
of
mine,
Audrey,
Talbert
she's,
the
daughter
of
Jill
and
Daniel
Talbert,
and
she
is
a
competitive
dancer
outside
of
school
and
wants
to
be
a
Supreme
Court
Justice
today.
So,
let's
all
welcome
her.
Thank
you.
L
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker
members,
I
wanted
to
say,
happy
Groundhog's,
Day
to
you,
Punxsutawney
Phil
did
see
his
shadow
this
morning,
so
unfortunately
we
do
have
six
more
weeks
of
winter.
More
important
to
note,
though,
is
that
Waffle
House
will
saw
his
shadow
and
he
tried
to
fight
it.
So
he's
got
six
more
weeks
of
probation.
Thank
you
very
much.
S
Thank
you,
Mr
Speaker,
just
to
follow
up
a
little
bit
of
what
representative
camper
carringer
excuse
me
was
sharing
with
us
about
the
Americans
Heart
Association,
my
assistant
Becky
Cantrell,
wanted
me
to
let
you
all
know
that
she
had
had
five
bypasses
when
she
was
46,
two
heart
attacks
and
some
other
heart
situations,
but
she
just
wanted
to
say
appreciation
to
the
American
Heart
Association
for
what
they
do
for
us.
Thank
you.
