a
relatively
new
development
in
the
Downsview
neighborhood

the
full
background
with
respect
to
the
approvals
and
the
construction,
but
from
transportations
perspective,
the
garages
that
were
built
were
substandard,
so
people
could
not
physically
that
their
personal
vehicles
in
their
garages
and
they
had
to
resort
to
parking
on
stream.

on
street,
ideally
through
public
consultation,
there
would
be
an
introduction
of
the
overnight
permit
parking
program.
So
last
year,
former
councillor
Alger
Mary
had
introduced
a
motion
to
allow
the
introduction
of
permit
parking
in
that
Ward,
so
that
has
been
approved
and
it
laid
the
way
for
the
introduction
of
overnight
permit
parking,
there's
a
polling
process
that
has
not
been
done
yet.
So
this
is
an
interim
remedy.
That's
why
there's
time
limits
associated
with
the
12
hour
time
limit
parking.

went
to
the
community
adjustment
for
several
of
the
homes
that
had
undersized
parking
spaces
that
community
justification
was
approved,
so
those
are
approved
undersized
spaces
for
which
you
can
still
park
a
car,
but

certain

larger
truck
for
example,
then
you
wouldn't
be
able
to
park
it
in
that

moved

over
two
years

We
love
the
neighborhood.
We
love
the
backyard
space
and
it's
perfect
for
two
young
boys
who
spend
a
lot
of
their
time
back
there.
The
fence
was
there
when
we
moved.

been
there
for
about

years.

maintain
the
fence.
We
maintain
the
grass
on
both
sides,
there's

lot
of
space
between
the
fence
and
the
street.
We've
never
had
any
complaints,
we
actually
never
didn't
even
know,

encroaching
on
city
property
until
we
got
the
Notice
of
Violation.

we
got
the
notice,
we
immediately
contacted
the
city
staff
and
they
were
really
helpful.
They

helped
us
ensure
that
the
fence
was
safe,
wasn't
in
any
sight
lines,
they
assist
us
in
contacting
Ontario
one
call,
so
we
got
clearance
from
hydro,
Bell
Umbridge
in
those
places,
so
we're
really
thankful
for
them.
But
another
reason
why
we
wanted
to
keep
the
fence
in
its
current
location
is
because
all
defenses
along
Clyde
Street
is
along
that
same
line.
It's
the
same
height
and
we
didn't
want
our
property
to
look
awkward.

an

with

current
neighbor,
which

behind
the
driver,
is
actually
located
behind

back
fence

concern
was
about
visibility
of
coming

is
a
few
homes
with
this
exactly
same
matter
on
the
street,

went
building
the
fence
based
on
their
current

hours
of

day,

easily
taken
pictures
and
diagrams

the
whole
thing,

this

thing
could
have
been
resolved
there
just
knock
on

door.

happy
to
accommodate
his
request.

and

stressful
feeling
as
an
owner
and
as

visitor's
is
completely
unacceptable

we
just
had
enough
now,
so
my
question
is:
does
someone
need
to
get
hurt
before
any
action
is
taken
because
it's
we
saw
the
pictures

it's
unacceptable.

a

landscaper,
came

recommended
all
this
stuff
because
it
takes
what
is
essentially
a
pretty
monster
home
and
tries
to
somehow
bring
it
into
proportion
with
everything
else
by
putting

bunch

vegetation
around
the
front
of
it
and
all
its
doing
is
floating
our
bylaws
and
creating
a
safety
hazard.
So
if
the
counselor
wants
to
defer
it,
I
won't
be
looking
for
a
compromise.

adherence
with
our
bylaws
when
it
comes
back.

flank
