the
board

zoning
appeals,

first
thing
I
want

acknowledge
the
hard
work
of
my
fellow
board
members.

christian

my
board
members

here

I
miss
anybody
else
who
came
along,
but
I
appreciate
all
their
hard
work
we
met
yesterday
and
as
one
as
our
part
of
our
regular
meeting
cycle.

want

acknowledge
missy
lueck
staff
member
who's

want
to
be
sure

staff

report

the
first
six
months.
I'm
not
going
to
go
through
it
in
detail,
be
happy
to
address
questions
about
any
matter
that
we
considered
to
the
extent
I
can
discuss
anything.

do
want
to
point
out
that
we
did
consider
three
variances,
no
appeals,
no
exceptions
during
that
six-month
time
period.
Of
course,
we've
been
busy
since
then,
but
we
also
receive
monthly
reports
on
waivers
granted
by
staff,
and
we
have
shared
that
information
with
the
planning
commission
and
with
the
town
council
to
consider
whether
or
not
any
amendments
should
be
made
to
the
land
management
ordinance
lmo
as
a
result
of
the
waivers
being
granted,
that's
not
for
us
to
decide,
but
for
us
to
pass
along.

Secondly,
the
bca
had
made
a
recommendation
for
amendments
to
the
lmo
based
on
cases
that
we
had
heard.
That
seems
to
be
stuck
in
the
process
as
well
as
other
lmo
amendments.
We
understand
that
perhaps
those
amendments
might
be
moving
forward
at
least
amendments
to
the
lmo.
We
hope
that
our
suggestions
at
least
make
the
cut
for
consideration,
but
I
hope
that
the
town
staff
will
break
that
log
jam
so
that
the
amendments
can
proceed.

Speaking
of
log
jams
being
broken,
we
have
been
asking
for
amendments
to
our
rules
of
procedure
for
nearly
a
year
and
a
special
thanks
to
town
manager
mark
orlando
for
breaking
that
log
jam
so
that
we
could
have
those
before
us.
Yesterday
we
considered
those
amendments.
I
suggested
some
revisions
and
those
will
come
back
before
us
at
our
march
board
meeting
and
because
of
the
way
our
rules
read
now
we
have
to
wait
until
april
to
adopt
them.

one
of
the
amendments
is
to
streamline
that
process,
so
we
still
have
careful
consideration
of
the
written
language
and
adequate
time
to
discuss
them,
but
so
we
don't
have
to
wait
a
couple
of
months
before
we
actually
take
action
on
something
we've
already
decided
on.
So
that's
my
report
I'll
be
happy
to
address
any
questions
that
you
might
have
and
appreciate
being
able
to
serve
you
and
this
community
in
this
role.

like
I
said
I
didn't
come
here
with
any
favorites,
although,
let's
see
several
members
of
my
husband's
family
are
vanderbilt
graduates,
his
nephew
is
an
attorney
and
works
in
their
sports
compliance
area.
So
you
know,
but,
as
a
sister
said,
when
she
was
a
senior
at
vanderbilt
to
the
football
team,
two
four
six
eight
score
before
we
graduate.

know

director
for

mitchellville
freedom
park
and
he's
here

an
update
on
all
the
goings-on
out
at
mitchellville
freedom
park.

It
my
pleasure
being
in
front
of
you
in
person
for
the
first
time
in
a
long
time.
It
feels
like
great
to
see
your
faces,
mr
mayor
counselors,
mr
town
manchester.
Thank
you
for
the
opportunity
we
want
to
give
you
a
quick
update
about
where
we
are
with
historic,
mitchellville
freedom
park.
Even
though
we
haven't
been
in
front
of
you,
we've
been
working
and
trying
to
get
some
things
in
place,
and
so
we
are
engaged
in
well.
I
We
actually
finished
engaging
with
the
feasibility
study
for
our
capital
campaign,
so
we
kind
of
have
the
blueprint
now
to
move
forward
to
try
to
reach
23
million
dollars,
and
so
I
can
I'm
happy
to
report
at
this
point.
We
have
several
high-level
national
targets
that
we
are
making
overtures
to
right
now,
which
makes
us
feel
pretty
good
we're
talking,
six
or
seven
figure
gifts
that
can
get
us
started
in
the
appropriate
direction
to
get
where
we
need
to
go,
and
so
we
are
feeling
pretty
confident
about
those
things.
I
If
you
didn't
anything
about
fundraising,
you
know
if
you
got
a
if
you
had
coin
flip
chance,
you're
doing
pretty
good.
So
I
think
couple
those
are
coin
flips
for
us
and
we're
hopeful
that
they
will
materialize
as
early
as
this
year
to
help
push
us
near
the
finish
line
so
real
quickly.
I
want
to
run
through
a
few
slides
to
show
you
what
we've
been
up
to.
I
This
is
one
of
the
coolest
things
that
I
can
say
happened
last
month,
but
we
were
designated
as
one
of
the
19
black
history
month
destination.
You
should
visit
by
hgtv.com
and
we
were
in
there
with
some
pretty
high
companies.
So
you
can
go
check
that
out.
We
felt
really
good
about
that
and
we
think
we
did
see
a
bump
from
that
promotion.
I
In
addition
to
that,
there
was
a
super
bowl
preview
that
came
out.
It
was
a
big
game
like
a
month
ago,
you
might
have
might
have
seen
it.
We
were
in
the
usa
today
super
bowl
preview.
This
periodical
has
circulation
with
roughly
five
million
people,
and
so
again
we
are
able
to
do
these
things
through
a
tax
funds
and
things
of
that
nature,
so
we're
getting
the
word
out
as
much
as
we
humanly
can
to
people
across
the
country.
I
So
we
like
to
be
able
to
unveil
them
mid-year.
So
we're
excited
about
that
and
we've
sent
designs
to
the
town
planning
to
look
at
make
sure
we
have
all
the
appropriate
pools
in
place
and
just
be
one
step
along
the
lines
of
trying
to
instill
even
more
interpretation
to
add
more
physical
items
to
the
park
itself.

And
so
we've
been
in
conversation
with
the
town
in
the
county
about
some
parcels
on
beach
city
road
that
is
jointly
owned
by
town
in
the
county.
For
a
while,
now
personal
conversations,
there's
been
some
opportunities
to
have
some
parcels
on
bcd
road.
We
are
really
concerned
with
the
two
that
are
in
our
area
that
are
in
the
master
plan,
particularly
obviously
we
want
to
have
access
to
all
the
parcels,
but
right
now
the
two
that
are
implicated
in
the
actual
plan
are
important
to
us,
because
we
have
some
proposals
that
are
going
out.
I
That
may
reflect
some
movement
on
those
two
parcels
in
particular
not
to
go
back
deep
into
this
situation.
But
you
know
this
kind
of
started
with
some
conversations
about
moving
st
james
baptist
church,
approximately
maybe
almost
four
years
ago
now
that
started
there
was
about
an
18-month
period
work
through
plan
and
of
course
the
church
has
now
moved
to
another
area.
But
in
the
middle
of
our
master
planning
process,
we
made
a
switch
to
to
move
some
land
from
our
area
and
to
accommodate
us.
I
There
was
a
conversation
of
putting
some
parcels
on
beach
city,
road
for
our
parking
area
and
also
our
classroom
and
lab
situation.
You
see
those
circle
on
our
map
right
there,
and
so
as
we're
moving
forward
in
this
process
to
raise
funds.
These
parcels
are
going
to
be
really
important
for
us
to
secure,
and
so
I
am
available
to
answer
any
questions
about
these
parcels
as
we
move
forward
in
this
process
so
that
when
we
get
these
things
to
land,
we
can
move
forward
with
the
town's
blessing
on
making
some
implementation
happen
at
the
site.

We've
got
a
couple
things
coming
up

our
mitchville
blues
and
barbecue.
Fundraiser
is
march
26
actually
in
the
park.
Tickets

our

right

This
is
the
first
time
we'll
actually
do
it
on
the
park
site
so
we'll
be
in
the
park.
This
will
be
three
to
seven
on
march
26th,
that
is
the
last
saturday
of
the
month.
You
do
not
have
to
dress
up
for
this
situation,
so
you
know
jeans
t-shirts
cowboy
boots,
whatever
you
want
to
do
is
good.
I
Chris
williams,
who
is
south
carolina's,
almost
poor
laureate
for
barbecue,
is
doing
the
food,
so
we
have
him
lined
up
the
upscale
party
band
from
georgia
and
marlena
smalls
will
be
providing
entertainment.
It's
going
to
be
a
great
day.

at
the
park
for

really
pleased
with
that
outcome.

assume
that
more
will
come
now
that
people
are
feeling
a
little
bit
more
comfortable
being
around
each
other
outside.
In
addition,
we
also
will
be
doing
our
virtual
juneteen
partnership
on
blkfreedom.org.

previous
years
of

Last
year
we
had
10
african-american
museums
from
across
the
country,
including
ourselves
that
put
on
a
presentation
for
juneteenth.
We
had
153
thousand
people
watch
that

that
weekend
and
even
more
have
seen
it
since
then,
so
by
all
means,
take
a
look
at
that,
and,
as
always,
this
is

I

a
report
on
the
saint
james
church.
I
think
everyone
knows
that
the
saint
james
church
is
located
at
the
end
of
the
airport
runway
until
it
was
extended.
The
church
was
not
interested
in
moving
once
it
was
extended
and
the
regional
jets
started
coming
over.
They
realized
that
they
needed
to
move
so
the
town
and
the
county
have
been
cooperating
with
each
other
to
try
to
promote
another
site.

If
the
faa
approves
the
project,
the
local
governments
assist
in
building
it
and
then
in
the
future,
the
local
governments
get
reimbursed
90
of
the
investment
that
the
town
and
county
may
have
made.
Another
five
percent
will
come
from
the
state
on
that,
but
that
project
was
submitted
to
the
faa
and
the
faa
has
sent
it
back.
They
have
said
what
we
do.
Is
we
replace
with
a
like
structure?
It
doesn't
mean
an
oil
structure,
but
it
means
like
in
terms
of
size
and
facilities,
so
that
puts
us
back
pretty
much
to
ground
zero.

There's
going
to
be
a
lot
of
discussion
back
and
forth
with
the
church.
They
are
aware
of
this.
We
are
trying
to
work
cooperatively
with
them
to
promote
this
project,
which
we
see
is
very
worthy
for
the
benefit
of
this
vital
aspect
of
the
community,
so
stay
tuned,
no
further
developments
on
it
at
this
point.

county
along

the
airport
saying
this

they

come
back

not
surprised
at
that.
Frankly,
we
had
detailed
discussions
with
the
church
representatives
about
what
like
for
like
means,
but
they
had
a
dream
and
they
thought
they
could
get
this
done.
They
still
may
be
able
to
get
it
done
because
they
have.

town

get
this
done,

I
think
is
what
got
the
faa
off
of
the
dime.

think
they've
been
sitting
on
this
thing
for
a
year

so
federal
government
doesn't
move
very
much,

member

a
senior
member
of
congress,
says
get
moving,
it
happened
and
so
they've
come
back
with
an
answer.

not
the
answer
that
anyone
wanted,
but
it
is
the
answer

this

plans

they

mid
island

discussions

spoke

are
going
to

church

county

trying
to
get
up
the
speed
as
to
how
we're
deliberating
here.

we

ad
hoc
committee.

members

the
town
staff
attend

three
people

county,
including
a
town
councilman
attend
the
lawyer
for

church
attends

representatives
from
the
church
attend
on
a
regular
basis,
all
are
invited

there
have
been
a
series
of
meetings.

cooperative
communication
between
the
ad
hoc
committee
of
the
government
and
the
church
itself,
but
they

a
big
dream
and
what
the
faa
has
said.

build

facilities,

raise

money

another

that's
possible
or
not,

to
be

The
airport
board
met
last
thursday
february
24th,
the
airport
manager's
update,
included
existing
terminal
bathroom
upgrades,
the
commercial
apron
for
planes.
That's
the
area
that
the
park
planes
sit
on.
That's
been
expanded
fairly
substantially
to
accommodate
the
increase
in
service,
but
he
also
noted
that
for
this
upcoming
summer,
the
expectations
for
the
same
flight
schedule
that
we
had
last
year
has
changed
and
it
should
be
less
hectic
than
it
was
last
year,
and
that
is
my
report.

The
product
of
those
four
workshops
was
six
maps

the

committee
was
to
review
the
content
of
those
six
maps
and
select
a
preferred
alternative
to
recommend
to
town
council.

found
guilty

ethics
violations

employ

mccann
used
tax
money
flying
first
class
to
italy
with
steve
reilly,

orlando
caught
lying

illegally

funds

town's
employees
in
bluffton,
with
lisa
sulka
and
lawyer
finger
lawyer,
stanford
past
president
of
the
secret,
greater
underground
island
council,
and
he
will
not
even
tell
who
who's
behind
it.

lennox
and
mccann
all
committed
fraud
and
lied,
saying
they
saw
the
legal
chamber
of
tax
accounting
lawyers
coltrane
gruber
bush,
all
committed
fraud
and
scheme,
the
legal
tax
funded
chamber

with
no
accounting
provision
with
that
man
behind
it.
Lennox
and
ames
committed
fraud
on
scheming,
the
chamber
contract
with
bluffton
lawyer
finger.

silent

chamber,
