me
or
my
family.
For
that
reason,
I
withdraw

from

proceedings.

and

with

of
my
family,

I,
just
gonna,
take
a
minute

I,
probably
won't

anywhere
near
five
minutes.
Just
to
give
you
an
update
on
our
day
of
service.
That's
coming
up
this
Saturday,
so
we
have
just
a
put
together
a
great
team
of
volunteers
this
year.
As
you
know,
we
did
the
neighborhood
rehab
project
where
we
serve
elderly,
low-income
and
disabled
homeowners
to
help
them
with
their
safe
dry.
I
Warm
and
quality
of
life
needs,
and
we
got
225
volunteers
signed
up
so
far
this
year,
which
is
way
more
than
I
was
expecting
and
actually
had.
I
known
we'd
have
that
many
I
would
have
lined
up
a
few
more
projects
but
I'm
just
blown
away
because
it's
the
same
day
as
the
block
party
and
so
I
was
expecting
a
little
lower
attendance
to
our
day
of
service.
I
So
I'm
just
really
excited
that
the
city
has
this
kind
of
energy
to
put
into
volunteering
on
the
day
of
service,
we're
gonna
be
helping
out
15
homeowners
with
a
whole
variety
of
different
kinds
of
projects
and
really
excited
about
it
and
I
just
want
to
just
brag
on
our
city
for
showing
up
in
force
like
this,
and
just
thank
you
as
City
Council
for
the
work
you've
put
into
it.
A
number
of
you
have
suggested
homes
to
me
or
talked
to
talked
about
the
project
in
a
variety
of
ways.
I
I
know
several
of
you
are
coming
to
volunteer.
I
really
appreciate,
appreciate
the
city
manager's
office
and
all
the
work
that's
gone
into
it
from
there,
and
this
is
a
huge
deal
and
I'm
just
excited
to
be
in
a
city.

hopefully

really
wanted
to

to
talk
to
you

guess
with
what
I
have
written
down
I
wanted
to
give
you
a
little
bit
of
personal
history
about
me,
I'm,
not
looking
for
a
sob
story.
I,
don't
normally
share
this
with
people.
I
was
a
corporate
general
manager
for
12
years.
I
was
responsible
for
over
400
employees,
and
it
was
my
job
to
hire
and
fire
train
and
manage
and
give
job
performance
reviews
and
set
budgets
and
ensure
everybody
was
part
of
the
team.

expected
accountability
for
everyone
to
do
their
jobs
effectively
and
sometimes
I
had
to
let
people
go
everyone's
opinions
and
ideas
were
valued
as
a
manager.
I
was
also
faced
with
self-reflection
of
how
it
could
be
more
effective.
I
also
encouraged
and
promoted
my
staff
to
get
out
of
the
box
and
come
up
with
new
solution
as
if
the
old
ones
weren't
effective.
We
we
were
a
team.
I
am
all
about
results
and
resolutions,
after
that,
my
husband
and
I
were
self-employed
for
17
years.

So,
for
me,
asking
for
help
in
my
mind,
is
a
sign
of
weakness.
I
wanted
to
give
you
a
little
bit
of
my
history
over
the
last
couple
of
years
and
then
I'll
get
to
my
point.
In
2013
my
mom
was
very
ill.
My
daughter
was
in
Arapahoe
high
school
shooting
and
in
January
2013
my
husband
was
in
a
serious
car
accident
and
I
fought
and
fought
for
his
health,
because
I
had
a
bunch
of
workmen's
comp
doctors,
I
told
me
he
was
malingering,
turns
out.

Almost
killed
him
I
was
trying
to
help
our
daughter
through
the
shooting,
take
care
of
my
mom
and
my
husband
and,
at
the
same
time,
trying
to
run
our
business
I
got
about
two
to
four
hours
of
sleep
a
day
my
mom
passed
away
in
2015.
At
the
same
time,
my
father-in-law
was
on
a
ventilator,
my
father-in-law
passed
away
last
summer
in
our
residence
and
three
days
later,
I
had
to
put
our
16
year-old
cat
down.
Now
this
isn't
a
sob
story.

We
still
needed
help
for
our
community.
We
still
need
help
and
support,
and
once
in
a
while,
a
shoulder
to
lean
on
I
am
grateful
for
the
wonderful
people.
I
have
met
during
these
dark
days
and
very
appreciative
for
the
help
I
will
be
receiving
I.
Believe
that,
because
of
this
tragedy,
is
time
to
get
out
of
our
box
and
put
our
heads
together
as
a
community
to
ensure
this
never
happens
again,
it's
time
to
expect
excellence,
roll
up
our
sleeves
and
let's
get
to
work.

I
moved
to
Englewood
in
2007
with
my
family.
At
the
time
it
seemed
to
be
the
kind
of
place
that,
depending
on
how
you
looked
at,
it
was
either
on
the
decline
or
on
its
way
back
up
truly
a
neighborhood
in
transition.
In
the
last
11
years,
we've
seen
it
change
tremendously
and
mostly
for
the
better,
with
properties
being
spruced
up
the
downtown
corridor
coming
back
to
life
and
more
families.

Moving
in
one
of
my
favorite
things
about
living
in
such
a
small
city
is
that
people
can
have
a
real
voice
and
what
happens
in
their
community
I
started
listening
to
meetings
around
the
time
of
the
depot
sale
and
what
started
watching
them
online.
Shortly
after
the
meeting
portal
and
livestream
council
meetings
became
available,
this
was
a
major
win
in
terms
of
increasing
transparency
and
made
it
so
much
easier
for
everyone
to
be
informed
whether
they
watched
in
person
or
from
the
comfort
of
their
own
homes.

My
preference
I
rarely
come
to
meetings
but
felt
the
need
to
come
tonight.
I've
been
dismayed
by
the
ever-increasing
attacks
on
council
and
staff,
the
problems
that
our
city
face
are
complex
and
must
be
dealt
with
with
long-term
planning,
limited
funds,
critical
thinking
and
very
thoughtful
decision
making.
We
have
a
council
with
caring
and
hardworking
individuals.
We
have
a
city
manager
who
is
dedicated
and
innovative,
yet
we
also
have
a
lot
of
division,
distractions
and
disruptions.

At
the
last
City
Council
meeting,
we
heard
from
several
individuals
who
expressed
their
anger
at
council
and
staff.
They
were
mostly
angry
about
the
storm
and
the
subsequent
flooding
people
are
upset
by
what
happened
and
what
didn't
happen.
There
were
calls
for
council
members
to
step
down
or
face
a
mass
recall,
and
tonight
I
mean
there's
a
member
missing
because
of
threats.
There
were
demands
that
the
city
manager
be
fired.
What
happened
in
Englewood
was
very
unfortunate,
to
say
the
least,
and
a
lot
of
people
sustained
serious
damage,
including
a
death.

None
of
us
are
perfect
in
our
communities,
certainly
suffers
from
its
fair
share
of
problems
and
challenges.
This
and
other
incidents
provide
us
with
an
opportunity
to
learn,
plan,
grow
and
move
forward
with
new
insight
and
greater
awareness.
It's
essential
that
people
work
together,
I
prefer
to
contact
my
representatives
privately,
but
came
here
tonight
to
add
my
voice
to
the
public
record
I'm,
a
citizen
who
does
not
agree
that
the
city
manager
should
be
fired.

Who
does
not
agree
with
a
mass
recall
of
council
or
support
the
chaos
and
divisive
tactics
that
we
are
seeing
more
and
more
frequently
at
meetings.
We
need
respectful
communication,
critical
thinking,
honesty
concerning
the
complexity
of
the
issues
and
challenges
that
face
our
city.
We
need
thoughtful
decision-making,
and
that
includes
disagreement.
I
would
be
shocked
if
you
all
disagree
or
agree
all
the
time
or,
if
I
agreed
with
you
all
the
time.
Just
thank
you
to
Council
and
staff
and
everyone
in
the
community
who
puts
Inglewood
first.

know
it's
an
important
thing,
sometimes
to
clap,
but
I'm
gonna
ask
that
we
not
be
clapping
after
everyone
because
it
doesn't
help
and
it
also
puts
some
people
against
the
other.
Fortunately,
these
have
been
positive,
so
I
appreciate
that,
but
let's
refrain
from
it
as
a
matter
of
decorum.

first
of
all,
the
Day

Saturday,
what
a
marvelous
report
from
Joe
and
an
invitation
to
all
of
you
who
are
going
to
be
working
during
the
first
part
of
the

At
the
study
session
last
week,
I
saw
two
charts
that
I
had
never
seen
before.
One
was
presented
by
manager
Kent
and
it
had
to
do
with
the
what
was
called
the
Consumer
Price
Index,
and
it's
just
that.
It's
just
a
chart
out
of
the
study
session
packet
and
the
thing
that
caught
my
attention
was
the
amount
of
inflation
that
we've
had
the
the
baseline
year
was
1982
and
in
1982
$100
about
a
certain
amount
of
stuff
in
July
of
2018.
It
takes
two
hundred
and
fifty
two
dollars
to
buy
the
same
amount
of
stuff.

Changing
the
way
that
we're
spending
the
money
is
a
really
important
thing,
I
know
fixing
the
stuff
that's
broken,
and
there's
a
lot
of
stuff
that
didn't
get
fixed
since
1997
I
just
want

kick

the
staff
for
working
on
patching
a
vast
amount
of
stuff
that
we've
neglected
across
all
those
years,
and
that's

I
have

problems
with
the
B&B
has
caused,

renters.
At
this
point
he
did.

did
make
three
apartments
with
the
bulk
of
the
house,
an
Airbnb
without
a
permit.

motel
next
door

no
one
is
with
that

had

renters

backyard

the
property

the

intends
to
have

many
people

property

no

has

place

neighbor

street

ill

the

long-term

our
town,
I
want
it
to
thrive.

it
to
be
a
place
that
other
people
want
to
live.

Think
one
of
those
things

need
to
look
at
long
term
is
investment
in
our
city.

you
guys

I
appreciate
that
as
a
council
and
as
a
city,
we
voted
to
approve
the
building
of
the
new
Englewood
schools
and
of
our
new
police
building.
Even
the
biogas
wastewater
treatment
plan
is
an
awesome
contribution
to
our
city.

want
to
lead

do
think.
We
still
need
to
continue
to
invest
in
our
stormwater
infrastructure.
Obviously
we
have
lots
of
people
in
the
community
that
are
concerned
about
that
and
I
think
that
is
a
valid
issue.
It's
something
that
needs
to
be
dealt
with.

think
we
also
need
to
keep
looking
at
business
development
as
well
as
transit,
oriented
living
and
housing
development
as
well.
I
also
wanted
to
voice
my
backing
for
the
city
of
Englewood
staff.
They
are
awesome,
I'm,
really
impressed
with
my
city
manager,
Keck
with
city
attorney
Brown
with
city
clerk
Carlisle.
They
always
exceptionally
answer
questions
of
count
from
Council
and
they
also
come
extremely
well
prepared.

know
that,
under
the
circumstances,
the
flood
is
not
a
predictable
thing
and
I
know
that
our
city
workers
and
our
city
staff
were
working
around
the
clock
and
I
wanted
to.

guys
know
that
I
appreciate

appreciated
their
responses
as

the

could
have
burned
the
methane

wasn't
the
end
result.
People
wanted
they
wanted
a
partner
with
Excel
for
the
small
community
group
for
sustainable
energy.
They
liked
that
they
partner
with
Excel

projects,

statement
is
untrue.

has
the

thing

forty
seven
thousand
four
hundred
dollars,
so
we
broke
it
out.

went
ahead
and
just
awarded
the
design
phase
of
it
all
to
get
us
going
and
what
that
did
for
us
by
doing
that,

it
allowed
acuity
to
kind
of
work
through
the
project
through
the
design,
see
what
happened
here
and
then
probably
reduce
their
risk
so
that
when
we
asked
them
them
to
give
us
a
new
proposal
for
the
construction
we
asked
them.

ended
up
with
a
proposal
for
the
15,000
450,
which
saved
us

$4,800
from
their
original
quote,
so
we
felt
very
good
they've
been
involved
in
it
since
day
one.
So

like

them
finish

project

They

the
best.
You
know
they.
They
got
it
through
the
original
RFP,
but
you
would
want
to
keep
that
same
person
all
the
way
through
the
project
to
get
it
finished
out
because
they
understand
it.

Council,
as
you
know,
the
last
couple
of
years
we've
been
working
on
some
new
programs
for
sealing
our
streets
alternatives
when
I
took
over
the
right
away
services.
What
we
determined
quickly
and
I've
kind
of
highlighted
this,
even
in
the
last
study
session,
that
we
really
didn't
have
anything
but
I
had
a
stack
of
paper
about
that
thick
with
all
the
streets
and
a
year
we
had,
we
hired
a
company
I
work
systems.
They
came
in
and
gave
us
a
pavement
evaluation.

Since
then,
that's
what
we've
been
working
on
towards
using
that
pavement
evaluation
to
help
us
determine
what
streets
we
need
to
be
working
on.
What
they
basically
submit
summarizes
that
our
streets
are
well
below
what
we
should
be
doing.
We
have
it.
We
they
use
a
process
called
RSL
remaining
service
lies
service
life
on
the
streets
about
twenty
years
on
the
asphalt
sixty
six
percent
of
our
streets
were
lower
than
ten,
which
means
we're
there
less
than
half
life.

So
for
almost
twenty
years
we
used
the
product,
and
probably
the
only
console
person
that
would
remember
it
would
be.
Barrentine
is
what
we
called
micro
surfacing
and
for
over
20
years,
we
used
that
product
and
that's
how
we
kind
of
kept
up
with
all
of
this
and
2008
was
the
last
year
we
used
the
micro
surfacing
product,
which
is
we
needed
to
find,
which
is
our
product
that
allows
us
to
a
larger
number
of
blocks.

It's
not
as
good
as
a
roto
melon
overlay,
but
it
still
gives
us
a
surface
over
at
the
top
of
it,
which
does
extend
it,
and
it's
about
five
to
eight
years.
Five
to
seven
years
is
what
they
thing
is.
We
still
have
a
few
streets
that
still
have
micro
surfacing
on
it's
in
pretty
poor
shape,
but
it's
still
there.

So
we
have
been
continuously
looking
for
a
new
products,
new
products
to
work
towards
giving
us
helping
us
the
extend
our
SL
on
the
streets
without
having
to
do
rebuilds
and
rotor
Mills
on
overlays
the
two
products
we
did
as
I've
highlighted
in
here.
We
one
of
the
products
that's
fairly
well
used
was
our
chip
seal
product,
the
feedback
we
got
and
I
think
a
number
of
you
also
heard
about
it
too.
Was
the
residents
really
didn't
care
for
the
chip
seal?
They
felt
it
was
rough.

The
problem
with
chip
seals
it
needs
about
six
months
to
set
in
to
kind
of
embed
itself
and
then
it
kind
of
works.
Then
it
kind
of
settles
down
and
it
gets
a
little
smoother.
It
gets
a
little
better,
but
it
was
very
clear
to
us
that
the
citizens
were
just
not
happy
with
chips
in
front
of
other
residential
streets,
so
we
have
since
then
we're
this
year,
we're
not
planning
on
using
any
chip
sale.

The
two
products
that
we
are
going
to
use
is
a
slurry
seal
and
that
slurry
seal
is
going
to
be,
which
is
a
thin
quarter-inch
layer
of
basically
an
asphalt
product.
We're
gonna
put
that
over
the
chip
seal
streets.
We
are
gonna,
give
the
people
what
they
want,
which
is
a
smooth
surface.
That
was
one
of
the
challenges
with
micro
surfacing
all
those
years.
It
gave
us
a
very
smooth
surface
and
everybody
loved
it
that
way.
The
second
product
we're
going
to
use,
which
is
a
little
more
expensive,
is
a
Cape
seal
product.

The
Cape
seal
product
is
a
layer
of
chip
seal
with
a
slurry
seal
over
the
top.
It's
basically
believe
it
or
not.
The
residential
czar
gonna
end
up
with
a
Cape
seal,
just
not
on
purpose.
It
was
just
kind
of
it's
working
that
way,
but
we
just
really
felt
like
we
heard
the
complaints
very
clearly
and
we
just
felt
like
we
want
to
give.
We
want
to
give
them
what
they
want.
We
didn't
blame
them.
I
mean
you've,
got
kids
out
there
with
a
bike.

I'm,
sorry
3/8
inch
rock,
is
not
something
you
want
to
be
following
on.
So
we're
very
appreciative
of
that
comment.
So
anyway,
we
are
going
to
use
on
some
of
the
streets,
and
you
can
see
this
in
the
maps.
The
heavier
you
streets,
clark's
and
Inka.
Some
of
those
types
of
roads
is
where
we
feel
that
Cape
Seal
gives
us
a
better
wearing
surface
because
they're
much
heavier
used
and
it
does
cost
two
and
a
half
times
as
much,
but
it
is
twice
the
product.

Basically,
the
second
thing
is
most
of
those
roads
also
have
striping
and
pavement
markings.
So
in
there
the
price.
This
also,
that
price
also
includes
restoration.
All
of
those
historically
we've
just
kind
of
done.
Those
on
you
know
with
our
own
internal
crews,
but
this
company
we
had
to
include
that.
So
it's
a
little
more
of
a
complete
price
this
time.
So
we
would
like
to
recommend
to
get
we'd
like
to
approval
to
go
forward
with
that
and
conclusion.

guess
is
kind
of
use
it
there
and
you've
seen
in
a
lot
of
other
things.

look
at
so
many
streets
in
so
many
driveways
with
a
project
before
and
so
I
share
your
concern
and
I
know
that
was
well
intentioned,
but
there
were
a
lot
of
complaints
about
it.

hearing

still
hearing
complain
about
the
chip
seal
streets,
are
you
saying
that
the
ones
that
were
chip
sealed
are
going
to
be
done
back
over
or
with.

construction
alone,

like

ability

as
we
get
into
something
if
we
need
to
add
a
block
for
some
reason.
Maybe
we
reevaluate
something
we
just
like
to
have
that
ability
without

oh,
we
need
you
know
because
we're
in
the
middle
of
the
project,
so
we
use
10%,
that's
just
an
engineering
standard
that
we've
been
using
for
four
years
early
on
in
a
project.
At
this
point,
it's
ten
percent.
When
we
first
develop
our
initial
estimates,
we're
usually
25
to
30
percent.

this

those
projects
that
it's

most
people
have
no
idea

you're
talking
about,

I've
known
more
about
streets
through
this
project
and
the
serve
others.

what's
slurry
and
when
slurry
goes
over,
it
makes
it
a
cape,
it's
pretty
phenomenal.

festival
they're
expecting
hundreds
of
thousands
of
people,
it's
gonna,
be
at
the
Overland
golf
course,
and
so
I
know
that
the
areas
around
Ruby,
Hill
Platte
Park,

affected

traffic

know
that
the
city
of
Denver
has
asked
the
police
to
just
not
allow
any
parking
in
those
neighborhoods
during
those
times
since
it
is
pretty
close
to
portions
of
Inglewood,
mostly
I'm.
Guessing
the
parts
that
are
going
to
be
affected.
Most
are
gonna,
be
west
of
Santa
Fe
south
of
Evans.

Haven't
looked
at
that
yet
councilmember,
but
one
of
the
things
that
I
know
we
will
be
doing
is
be
marketing
parking
at
the
Riverrun
park,
as
well
as
the
golf
course
for
only
golf
patrons
I
mean
you're
right.
This
is
a
humongous
deal
and
some
people
might
try
to
ride
their
bikes
to
the
festival
and
park
down
in
our
parks
and
facilities,
and
so
we'll
be
having
a
discussion
about
other
areas
of
Inglewood
where
we
have
parking
to
ensure
that
that's
not
being
overrun
by
festival
goers,
as
this
is
a
tremendous
event,
I
think.

Initially
the
group
that's
doing.
This
AEG
actually
asked
to
utilize
some
of
our
parking
for
that
for
this
purpose,
and-
and
we
told
them
that
we
weren't
interested
in
that,
as
as
it
wasn't
going
to
be
fortuitous
to
our
residents
and
our
guests
and
our
clients
of
our
facilities,
so
we'll
be
working
on
a
plan.
I
think
you
hit
the
nail
on
the
head.
This
is
a
it's
a
big
deal
and
and
we're
trying
to
be
as
proactive
as
we
can
with
it
all.

just
think
it's
a
great
great
thing
for
the
city
of
Englewood
and
I
guess.
Lastly,
the
the
the
last
thing
I
want
to
mention
here
tonight
is
obviously
I'm.
Sorry

hear
that
councilmember

Obviously
she
has
her
reasons,
and
you
know
I
can't
tell
her
how
to
feel
about
some
news
that
came
regarding
just
safety,
so
I
could

understand

she
feels
that
she
didn't
have
to
be
here
tonight.

just
want
to
say
here
is
that
you
know
there's
a
lot
of
people
that
go
through
a
lot
and
I
just
want

thank
everybody

the
work
they're
doing
here
for
the
city
code
enforcement
does
a
lot

they
you

it's
it's
it's
two-sided
right.
There
there's
people
that
want
something
that
happened
to
improve
the
neighborhood,
but
then
the
people
that
are
receiving
the
message
don't
want
to
receive
that
message.

they're
gaining
it
from
both
sides,
one
that
they're
not
being
proactive
enough
and
then,
secondly,
that
they
may
that
you
know
what
you
know.

I
just
think
that
they
go
through

I

to
voice
my
appreciation
for
all
the
work
everybody's
doing
and
for
everything
that
you
do
for
the
city,
because
I
know
you

deep
love

we

credible

we
don't
put
out
there

this
community
that
we
don't
and
give
a
false
impression.

tend
to
tried
very
lightly
on
those

impressions
that
we
give
to
our
community
and
outside
of
our

door-to-door

talks
to
citizens
that
in
any
way
that
we
have
any
problem

handling
confrontation
or
issues
or
disagreement,

that
we
shy
away
from
that
so
I'm
glad

maybe
I'll
feel
differently
about
it,
but
I
was
a
little
surprised
by
it.

appreciate
your

and
grace
on
that
and
that's
all

would
look
forward

unity
and

find
it
to

know
other
things

exchanged
there
in
a
good

our
Inglewood
areas
that

involved
in
it

be
careful
about
how
they
talk

safety
is
really

important

never

might
be
behind
certain

know
we're

run

office

dedicated
yourself
to
improving
this
community
that
we
all
live
in
and
we
all
love
four
years
ago
when
I
came,
I
was
dedicated
that
same
thing
as
well
and
have
been
so
right
to
this
moment,
dedicated
and
committed
to
this
community
dedicated
and
committed
to
leaving
Inglewood
better
than
the
way
I
found
it,
and
that's
how
I've
approached
this
particular
role
at
this
point
in
time.
What
I
want
to
say
to
the
City
Council
is
that
I'm
gonna
be
tendering.

resignation
this
evening,
I'm
giving
you,
according
to
my
contract,
the
one-month
notice,
that's
required,
but
I
want
to
digress
a
little
bit
and
just
say
a
few
things
about
the
community
say
a
few
things
about
the
staff,
because
it's
important
to
me
as
I
mentioned.
You
know
my
family
and
I
moved
here
for
one
reason,
and
that
was
to
improve
the
the
social
fabric
of
this
community
while
at
the
same
time
honoring
my
wife
who
needs
honor
her
mother
and
father,
who
were
dealing
with
some
terrible
illness
during
that
time.

Public
service
is
a
calling
and
when
I
first
interviewed
with
the
city,
one
of
the
interview
questions
the
council
gave
was
how
long
you
gonna
stay,
and
my
answer
at
that
point
in
time
was
I
will
stay
as
long
as
as
I
am
needed,
that
my
leadership
is
functional,
its
engaging
and
it's
improving
the
way
the
city
has
is
and
I
have
never
wavered
from
that
that's
been
my
agenda.
Hadn't
had
any
other
agenda
other
than
to
serve
in
this
community.
My
family
and
I
have
been
rooted
in
this
community.
We
serve
in
this
community.

We
help
our
neighbors,
we
work
with
those
who
need
it,
who
are
in
the
unfortunate
who
need
help.
We
do
that.
I'm
gonna
miss
that,
because
Inglewood
has
some
great
people.
The
community
has
some
really
great
people
that
have
done
great
things
and
continue
to
do
so,
and
my
prayer
for
the
city
of
Inglewood,
as
I
exit
this
organization
and
potentially
exit
the
community,
is
that
there
is
healing
I.
Think
that's
been
a
consistent
theme
this
evening.

know
the
events
that
have
gone
on
over
the
last
two
or
three
months
have
been
very
divisive
and
clearly
have
had
a
adverse
impact
on
a
number
of
people,
their
health,
their
relationships
with
their
neighbors
and
and
I.
Just
really
hope
that
that
will
clear
up.
I
really
hope
that
people
will
join
arms
and
dedicate
themselves
to
improving
this
community,
lend
their
voices
lend
their
backs,
lend
their
minds,
lend
their
resources
to
help
each
other
and
help
this
community.

Having
said
that,
though,
counsel
I
would
exhort
you
to
remember
and
recall
that,
while
this
may
be
a
smaller
community
in
a
larger
metropolitan
area,
you're
a
big
city,
you
have
complex
issues,
the
same
issues
that
impact
Denver,
which
is
20-time
to
say
that
size
of
Englewood
impact
this
city,
and
you
need
to
think
of
it.
That
way,
you
have
to
look
at
resourcing
your
community
for
the
resources
that
are
necessary
to
fix
not
only
storm
drains
but
water
systems,
our
utilities
we're
a
big
city.
We
need
to
act
like
a
big
city.

Not
do
things
on
the
cheap.
We
need
to
invest
and
I
would
hope
that
you
would
continue
with
looking
at
obviously
safety
as
a
concern
or
public
safety
is
concerned,
but
also
just
the
condition
of
our
infrastructure
to
our
employees.
That's
the
toughest
part
about
leaving.
We
have
you
have
some
of
the
best
damn
employees
that
I've
had
to
work
with
in
city,
government
and
I've
worked
in
four
cities
in
several
different
states.

These
people
that
are
here
aren't
here
for
self-aggrandizement
they're,
not
here
for
the
paycheck
they're
here,
because
they
care
about
this
community
I
would
hope
that
this
council
in
this
community
would
continue
to
respect
the
employees
in
listener
will
have
to
rubber-stamp
everything.
I
know,
that's
been
a
concern
of
a
couple
of
you
that
you
feel
like
you're,
a
rubber
stamp
for
staff.
That's
not
what
we're
asking
what
I'm
stating
for
you
to
think
about
tonight.

respect
them
appreciate
them
as
well
as
resource
them
as
well,
so
they
continued
to
provide
the
great
services
to
the
residents
and
the
businesses
and
other
clients
in
this
community.
It's
been
an
honor
and
a
privilege
for
me
to
have
serve
this
community.

clearly
serve
this
community
right
to
my
very
end.
That's
who
I

shirk
my
duties

seriously

charge

that
you've
given
to

as
the

respect

get

work

much

her

try

improve
things,

processes,

improve
the
economic
conditions,

improve

way
in
which
we
do
business,

challenge
ourselves

be
innovative
to
think
differently

miss

team
that
we
formed.

same

with

my

respect

professionals
