From YouTube: Special City Council Meeting 2-7-2022
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
It
is
now
6
30
p.m,
and
so
the
february
7th
special
meeting
of
the
evanston
city
council
shall
come
to
order.
Will
the
clerk
please
call
the
rule.
A
Thank
you.
We
have
a
quorum
president
and
are
therefore
able
to
do
our
work,
and
we
begin
by
recognizing
council
member
newsmen
for
a
motion.
C
Pursuant
to
five
illinois
compiled
statutes
120-2a,
I
move
that
the
city
council
convene
into
executive
session
to
discuss
an
agenda
item
regarding
personnel.
This
agenda
item
is
a
permitted
subject
to
be
considered
an
executive
session
and
is
an
enumerated
exception
under
the
open
meetings
act
as
set
forth
in
five
ilcs
120-2a
section
c1.
D
A
Well,
the
so
just
quickly
glancing
at
the
list,
not
everyone
signed
up
for
public
comment-
is
in
the
zoom
right
now,
which
I
think
makes
sense,
because
the
agenda
had
it
listed
the
other
order.
So
I
think
out
of
okay
be
honest
to
them.
Let's,
let's
stick
with
the
order
of
the
agenda,
but
for
for
anyone
in
the
public
watching
right
now,
presuming
this
motion
passes
we'll
go
into
executive
session
and
then
return
to
this
same
open
session.
Zoom
link
for
those
who
wish
to
get
a
public
comment.
A
So
council
member
newsman
moves
that
we
move
into
executive
session
conference
number
read
seconds:
is
there
any
discussion
seeing
none
with
the
clerk?
Please
call
the
role.
B
Thank
you
so
much
word
of
the
year
council,
member
braithwaite.
E
B
Is
councilmember
burns
here
yet
yep,
bye,
okay,
council,
member
suffering,
council
member
bill,
aye
council,
member
reed,
aye,
council
member
flemming,
hi
and
councilmember
kelly
oops?
Sorry,
I.
A
With
I
believe,
eight
voting
in
favor
and
none
voting
against
the
motion
passes,
we
moved
to
executive
session
so
for
the
relevant
individuals.
There's
a
you,
have
a
separate
link
to
go
to
executive
session
for
everyone
else.
We'll
return
to
this
link
at
the
conclusion
of
that
discussion,
for
both
public
comment
and
and
call
of
awards
see
everybody
momentarily.
A
So
at
8
29
pm,
we
return
to
the
right
the
ordinary,
open
set
portion
of
our
special
counsel
meeting,
just
as
a
note
to
the
public
in
order
to
give
those
who
seek
to
give
public
comment
time
to
become
aware
that
we've
returned
from
executive
session,
we're
going
to
invert
the
agenda
and
move
directly
to
call
of
the
awards,
after
which
we'll
go
to
public
comment.
And
so
we
begin
with
call
of
awards,
beginning
with
councilmember
braithwaite.
C
Office
hours
this
saturday
10
to
noon
at,
I
believe
it's
reprise
roasters.
G
D
I
feel
almost
obligated
to
talk
just
to
create
time
for
folks
to
the
public
to
get
back
to
me.
If
anyone,
I
guess
I'll,
announce
a
monthly
ward
meeting
on
the
last
thursday
we've
got
a
google
meet
link,
it
should
be
up
on
the
calendar
now.
E
I
want
to
thank
all
the
residents,
so
many
who
came
out
last
week
to
participate
in
the
community
meeting
about
the
proposed
development
at
1621,
chicago
avenue,
was
really
wonderful
to
have
that
here.
Have
those
voices
and
participation
and
I'd
also
like
to
encourage
everybody
to
also
join
us
this
thursday
for
another
community
meeting
regarding
the
link
2.0
at
emerson
and
sherman
this
thursday
at
seven
o'clock
and
the
link
for
that
can
be
found
on
the
city
website.
Thank
you.
A
Thank
you.
This
concludes
our
call
of
the
awards.
We
now
move
to
public
comment.
The
individuals
requesting
to
get
public
comment
are
nicole,
dylan,
mary
rozinski,
mike
vasilco
and
dorian
price.
I
will
begin
with
ms
price
who's.
The
first
person
present
go
ahead.
Ms
price.
A
I'm
not
sure
this
price
is
yes.
F
I'm
sorry
there
you
are,
I
muted
it
okay,
this
had
to
do
with
what
was
proposed
to
be
spoke
to
be
discussed,
but
is
forwarded
to
the
next
meeting
from
human
services,
and
it's
the
part
with
regard
to
looking
at
appropriations
of
of
of
funds,
to
help
people
in
crisis
in
emergencies
and
actually
increasing
the
amount,
because
the
cost
of
living
in
evanston
is
higher
than
what
the
tables
are
current
with.
I
thought
that
initiative
was
amazing
and
and
not
seen.
F
At
least
I
haven't
seen
like
that
in
terms
of
taking
the
initiative
and
saying
forget
the
tables
they
don't
really
reflect
our
expenses
here.
So
with
that
in
mind,
I
I
said
that,
with
regard
to
how
general
assistance
is
addressing
everson's
real
cost
of
living,
that
likewise
updating
the
city
of
evanston,
equity
and
arpa,
initiatives
for
real
costs
now
and
obviously
the
future
would
be
much
higher,
which
kind
of
indicates
that
what
we
do
now
is
truly
important
and
shows
why
aging
a
place,
in
other
words,
getting
people
stabilized
in
their
homes.
F
What
you
hear
bobby
burns
council
member
brooms
talk
about
as
well
staying
in
place
or
something
like
that
that
that
kind
of
initiative
shows
why
aging
in
place
saves,
lives,
homes
and
community
assets.
So
thank
you.
A
Thank
you
very
much.
I
just
want
to
reiterate
the
other
people
who
signed
up
to
give
a
public
comment
are
nicole,
dillon,
mary
rozinski
and
mike
basilco.
A
I
don't
see
any
of
the
three
of
those
in
the
zoom,
but
just
once
more
nicole
dillon
mary
rozinski
mike
basilica,
seeing
seeing
that
no
one
currently
present
is
requested
to
give
public
comment,
there's
no
more
business
to
come
before
us
and
the
february
7th
special
meeting
of
the
episode
city
council
stands
adjourned
thanks.
Everybody.
