B
Okay,
good
good
morning,
can
everybody
hear
me?
Yes,
can
you
I
can't
hear
myself
there,
but
if
you
have
fun
projecting
it's.
Okay,
welcome
to
the
monday
december
6
2021
board
called
it
works
in.
C
B
Sign
that
motion
in
the
discussion-
all
favorite,
please
say
hi
hi,
I'm
opposed.
Thank
you
all
right.
Moving
through
no
adjustments
finished
business
new
business.
We
have
quite
a
few
approvals
for
pace
so
I'll,
introduce
our
director
of
building
and
planning
cold
shell
go
through
the
pace.
D
Okay,
first
application
is
for
marcus
gray
at
124
e
street.
His
request
is
for
25
000.
he's
going
to
be
doing
partial
demo
foundation,
repair,
rebuild
and
working
in
windows
door,
sighting.
B
Cold
as
we
go
through
these,
I
don't
know
if
this
is
on
your
agenda,
but
identify
the
amount
of
the
grant
that's
being
requested.
E
D
The
second
application
is
a
georgia
hall
of
506
jefferson
street
she's,
requesting
5
000
45,
going
to
be
doing
tuck
pointing
and
paint
on
this
structure.
D
It's
the
entire
instructor
yeah.
Actually
she
just
owns
that
car.
F
Nicole,
can
we
back
up
to
the
first,
the
e
street
is
you
say,
there's
demolition.
D
Yes,
partial
demo,
so
this
is
like
you
know,
back
shotgun,
they're
gonna,
be
removing
the
front
single
story
portion
and
then
rebuilding
it.
B
So
our
grant
program
as
a
relationship
to
demolition
does
have
the
requirement
that
they
provide
a
plan
for
reconstruction
and
this
one.
This
plan
has
already
been
through
historic
board.
Is
that
correct?
Yes,.
E
D
D
Yeah,
you
have
it
in
your
pocket.
This
one
shows
the
roof
has
collapsed
inside
and
he's
asking
for
five
thousand
seven
hundred
fifty
dollars.
B
D
Last
application
is
812
walnut
street
cynthia
stewart
she's
requesting
25
000
she's,
also
doing
a
slight
demo
of
rebuild
repairs
to
this
masonry
building,
and
you
have
more
photos
of
this
one
also.
B
Yeah
again,
at
the
pace
meeting
the
other
night,
there
were
a
lot
of
pictures
that
you
have
in
your
book
here
that
that
represent
the
deterioration
of
this
building,
that
you
really
can't
see
from
the
front
street
elevation
and
definitely
the
interior
as
well,
and
what
what
condition
it's
in.
So
it's
all
of
these
projects,
in
my
opinion,
are
three
of
them,
are
in
our
targeted
revitalization
area,
which
is
great
and
they'll,
go
a
long
way
to
improving
improving
the
neighborhood.
C
I
make
a
motion
that
we
approve
the
pace:
applications
for
1.4,
east
506,
jefferson,
street
707
long
enough
and
812
long
enough.
F
C
D
For
707
east
main
street
phil
mullins,
you
have
a
letter
outlining
the
reasoning.
Why
he's
wanting
an
amendment?
But
it's
not
changing
his
grant
dollar
amount,
he's
just
asking
for
a
change
on
where
they're
allocated.
Originally
he
had
funds
allocated
towards
his
retaining
wall,
he's
still
working
with
indot
on
having
that
repaired.
D
B
D
I
have
finals
for
you.
The
first
is
a
522
mulberry
street
richard
and
michelle
peake.
They
are
requesting
the
final
payment
of
11
825.
D
D
The
next
final
I
have
for
you
is
707
east
main
street
phil
mullins
for
the
full
grant
amount
of
7500..
D
D
Next
final
is
for
jim
pruitt,
205,
east,
first
or
sorry
west
first
street,
for
the
full
amount
of
7500
he's
done
a
ton
of
work
on
this
property,
everything
from
sighting
painting
windows
and
has
worked
on
the
fortunes.
B
B
D
F
B
In
the
very
near
future,
all
that
whole
block
will
have
overviews
yeah.
That's
because
of
the
the
work
that's
being
done
near
the
riverfront
behind
those
properties
is
going
to
be
great
yeah.
C
E
B
Nicole,
I
just
want
to
thank
you
for
all
of
the
work.
That's
been
done
on
pace
and
2021
was
a
record
year
for
a
number
of
properties
that
have
taken
advantage
of
the
program,
the
amount
of
match
money
that's
been
provided,
but,
more
importantly,
almost
four
to
one
private
investment
to
the
match.
That's
been
provided
relative
to
private
investment,
to
preserve
these
properties
across
not
only
downtown,
but
we
had
our
first
completed
property
on
the
hilltop
too,
mr
cream's
former
house
on
wilson
avenue
so
program's
going
great
and
we
just
approved
another.
F
D
If
we're
taking
applications
for
next
year
today
is
the
deadline
for
their
january
meeting,
so
we're
looking
forward
to
the
improvements
next
year,
we.
B
There's
anybody
out
in
the
community
who
would
like
to
volunteer
pace
is
a
an
excellent
one
that
you
can
truly
see
remarkable
results.
C
B
Vegetation
remediation
a
couple
weeks
ago
in
that
area,
there's
a
historic
stone,
culvert
that
goes
adjacent
to
the
property
and
they
are
there
they've
already
mobilized
the
site,
they're
reframing,
the
rear,
end
of
the
property
that
had
been
or
the
north
side
of
the
property
that
had
been
deteriorated.
C
C
F
C
B
Nicole
might
and
ask
you,
I
know
on
the
next
item
on
the
event
is
unsafe
structure
at
1202
wells
drive
may
ask
scott
and
you
to
give
an
overview
to
the
board
on.
Why
we're
here
today,
and
I
know
the
property
owner
is
here
and
we
can
introduce
her,
but
if
you
could
give
an
overview
about
the
property
to
the
board
and
we'll
get
into
discussion.
Sure.
D
So
this
property
caught
fire
at
the
beginning
of
this
year
december
19th
end
of
last
year,
corrected
by
the
property
owner.
She
would
know.
We've
sent
a
couple
of
unsafe
building
letters
to
her
first
being
october
26th.
D
G
D
Yeah
so
fire
in
december
19.
Our
first
letter
went
to
her
in
july
of
this
year,
citing
the
nuisance
issues
of
the
debris
on
the
exterior
that
had
not
been
cleaned
up.
That
debris
was
not
taken
care
of
by
the
owner,
so
we
dispatched
at
the
end
of
july
the
city's
contractor.
We
did
clean
it
up
and
then
the
first
unsafe
building
letter
went
to
her
in
october
october
26,
to
be
exact
with
the
second
unsafe
building
letter
asking
her
to
appear
here,
went
out
in
november
22nd.
B
B
B
B
D
B
Another
letter
was
sent
in
november
that
then
reiterated
the
earlier
letter
and
asked
her
to
appear
here
today.
Yes,
okay,.
E
B
Okay,
let's
go
ahead
and
invite
the
owner
up
to
the
private.
Please
identify
yourself
name
address
and
football.
A
Hi,
my
name
is
bonnie
cox.
My
address
is
1156
debbie
lane,
which
nicole
had
and
I
have
been
getting
notices
at
1202
wells
drive,
which
don't
always
come
to
me,
because
the
mail
sometimes
gets
taken,
and
that's
why
I
haven't
responded,
but
I
did
clean
up
the
property
a
couple
times
and
also
the
demolition
will
be
taking
place
in
the
next
two
weeks
where
the
property
I'm
getting
a
dumpster
delivered
today
and
having
a
track
hoe
delivered
a
week
from
friday
and
have
someone
that
is
going
to
run
it
and
finish
them.
A
You
know
finish
the
demolition
form.
As
far
as
I
know
the
city
might
have
mowed
once,
but
that's
it.
I
have
done
all
the
cleanup.
I
have
had
dumpsters
up
there
three
different
times.
B
Well,
I
appreciate
you
being
here
today.
Thank
you.
B
Being
here
today,
because
what
we
want
to
do
is
find
a
good
solution
here,
relative
to
to
abating
the
unsafe
structure,
and
certainly
you
know,
eliminating
blight,
it's
a
beautiful
neighborhood
and
that's
how
we
want
to
keep
it
and
with
this
structure,
in
the
condition
that
it's
in.
A
Been
working
on
it,
but
I
was
also
under
the
impression
that
I
was
in
the
running
for
pace
grant,
which
kind
of
in
september.
A
A
B
Okay,
well,
we
certainly
appreciate
that,
so
you
have
a
contractor
that
you've
indicated
you've
already
agreed
on
terms
with
for
the
demolition
of
the
property
and
you're
saying
that'll
be
done
by
the
end
of.
A
And
I'm
going
to
seal
the
basement
off
and
then
eventually
probably
set.
You
know,
house,
on
top
of
the
existing
structure.
I'll
probably
use
the
basement
for
storage,
but
I
gotta
get
it.
You
know
garage
doors
up
and
get
the
base
the
get
everything
coated
and
sealed
where
it
can't
leak
and
won't
be
a
further
nuisance.
B
Okay,
we
certainly
appreciate
that,
and
we
can
give
you
time
to
the
end
of
the
month
to
do
to
take
care
of
what
you
just
indicated
you
would,
which
is
the
demolition
of
the
property,
and
please
keep
us
informed
along
the
progress.
If
your
plans
change
if
timing
changes,
communication
is
really
important.
I
think
that's
kind
of
sort
of
why
we're
here
today
and
asking
to
appear
for
us
so
that
we
could
accelerate
some
progress
bonnie
on
on
the
property.
Okay,
is
there
anything
else
bored
any
questions?
You
have
scott
nicole
anything
else.
A
A
A
A
A
Yeah,
as
far
as
I
know
that
said,
the
contractor
that
I
have
that's
about
bedford
kentucky
told
me
that
he
would
not
be
available
until
it
will
be
from
this
friday,
which
I've
looked
at
the
weather
reports
it's
supposed
to
rain,
so
I'm
just
kind
of
playing
it
by
ear
there.
I
guess,
but
that's
the
plan
and
I'm
waiting
now
in
a
dumpster.
Okay.
B
Debbie
we
have
our
bonnie.
We
have
one
more
meeting
this
year,
two
weeks
from
today
and
normally
on
our
agendas.
We'll
have
just
recurring
businesses
that
we'll
talk
about.
If.
B
Next
up
is
our
retiring.
I
should
say
stewart
of
everything
tree
related
in
madison,
cathy
rolfing.
H
To
discuss
some
street
treat
plantings
or
just
actually
one
planting
that
involves
five
trees.
It's
at
the
corner,
and
I
thought
I'm
gonna
hand
it
out
to
you,
so
you
can
kind
of
get
a
feel.
That's
a
plan
view
so
you're.
Looking
down,
you
see
jefferson
street,
you
see
the
little
people's
store
store
there.
So
there's
that
and
then
I
also
wanted
to
kind
of
give
you
just
an
idea
of
what
we're
trying
to
do
there.
You
can
see
that
we've
got
three
trees.
That
would
be
large
shape,
trees.
H
There
we
go
okay,
so
this
is
just
right.
This
is
where
main
sidewalk
and
wings
there.
So
we
are,
we
would
be
starting
here,
which
is
at
the
end,
basically
a
little
people
or
that
huge
building-
and
these
are
these-
are
the
little
sidewalks
I
measured
them
all
just
so
I
knew
exactly
what
we
had
and
then
this
would
stop
up
here
and.
H
H
There
will
be
some
concrete
work
that
would
have
to
be
done
and
but
you
know,
you're
getting
it,
it's
gonna
be
look
really
good.
When
it
happens.
You
know.
I
don't
know
if
this
is
the
best
timing
in
the
world
for
this,
but
that's
you
know,
you
know,
that's
what
I
would
want
to
hear
from
you
guys
if
you
think
come
you
know
you
guys
can
give
me
some
feedback
on
this.
Any
questions.
Do
you
have
what.
B
Type
of
what
type
of
tree
is
that
you're
proposing
again
and
maybe
talk
about,
because
I
know
the
issue
we
always
have
with.
We
love
our
trees
and
the
canopies
that
they
provide.
They
also
create
some
sidewalk
damage,
so
maybe
talk
to
talk
about
what
we
discussed
during
the
tree
board
meeting
when
I
attended.
H
Okay,
we
are,
we
are
going
to
use
the
these
elm
trees,
triumph,
elm,
trees,
there'll,
be
shea
trees,
no
berries,
no
nuts,
it's
not
easy
to
do.
You
know
to
come
up
with
that,
and
I
promised
no
berries
for
rhonda,
because
she
she
just
says
we
have
a
crazy
barking.
There,
too,.
H
It
good
for
everybody
there.
As
far
I.
E
H
Much,
but
we
could
definitely
do
those
root
barriers
which
would
go
down
between
like
it
would
we
this
this
planting
place
will
be
right
on
a
curve,
and
then
we
would
take
the
barrier
it
goes
down
into
the
ground
and
as
the
trees
run
into
it,
they'll
go
a
different,
different
direction,
and
so
tim's
been
doing.
That
he's
had
pretty
good
he's
doing
pretty.
Well
with
that.
H
It's
it's
one
of
the
easiest,
and
one
of
the
there
are
lots
of
different
things
you
can
do.
Some
of
them
are
very
complex.
E
H
B
H
H
And
you
know-
and
we
have
been
talking
about
this
for
a
couple
of
years
just
trying
to
you
know
what
do
we
want
to
do
here
and
you
know
typically,
we
just
you
know
plant
trees
here,
maybe
two
or
three
there.
You
know
almost
all
these
sidewalk
trees.
So
this
one
was
we
like
every
once
in
a
while
we'd
like
to
do
something,
that's
kind
of
a
project.
B
We
through
our
budget
every
year
fund
money
to
the
tree
board
and
they
do
a
lot
of
planning
throughout
the
community
on
planting
new
trees,
but
also
maintenance
on
existing
trees.
Sometimes
it
it's
tree
removal
that
is
that
that
evolved
involves
that's
part
of
our
part
of
our
budgeting
process.
B
E
H
E
B
And
tony,
do
you
have
any
thoughts
guidance
on
this.
H
E
H
H
F
E
B
I
think
you
gave
a
report
to
council
about
all
the
tree
plantings
and
work
you've
done
across
the
community.
Again
I
want
to
thank
you
for
your
25
years
of
service
to
the
tree
board.
I'm
sorry
to
see
you
go.
I've
already
invited
you
to
join
another
board.
B
H
Parking
lot
on
main
street,
we
planted
those
trees
there.
We
got
that
looking
good
that-
and
that
was
I
don't
know-
probably
12
15
years
ago
and
then
down
here
on
second
street.
We
put
those
trees
in
there.
H
That's
you
know
that
was,
there
was
a.
B
H
H
Just
recently,
we
started
taking
these
they're
plastic
guards
and
they
wrap
around
the
bottom
of
the
tree.
So
there's
not
lawnmower
problems
and
things
like
that,
so
that
should
help
us
a
lot,
because,
typically
that's
what
makes
you
know
we
have
more
trees
die
from
that
from
all
when
the
bark
is
all
the
way
gone.
So
that's
working
out
real
well
and,
like
I
said,
also
parks.
H
We
are
now
doing
the
park
as
parks
as
well
and
sometimes
in
the
parks
we'll
plant
trees
that
we
wouldn't
want
to
plant
on
the
street
because
it
would
be
you
know
it
would
be
a
problem.
It
would
have
nuts
or
things
like
that.
So
it's
always
fun
to
do
some
stuff
in
the
parks
and
do
some
different
trees
and
just
other
than
that
you
know
all
downtown
is,
is
our
jurisdiction
so
and
also
all
the
parks
on
the
hilltop.
H
B
And
madison
is
a
tree
city.
We
have
a
tree
city
designation,
which
in
which
we
need
to
foster,
continue
to
foster
our
investment
in
trees.
In
order
to
maintain
that
designation,
so
I
think
you
guys
have
done
a
great
job.
Thank
you
just
ask
that,
as
you
indicated,
perhaps
tim
coordinate
with
tony
on
the
exact
location
where
they
would
be,
would.
E
B
F
H
Care
of
well,
we
we
every
once
in
a
while
some
you
know
it
used
to
be.
We
got
a
lot
of
people
wanting
trees
down
and
it
really
hasn't
happened
that
much
lately,
but
we
tell
them.
You
know
somebody
calls
us.
We
say
well,
we'd
like
to
come
to
the
tree
board
and
we'll
talk
about
it,
and
you
can
tell
us
what
you
think
and
we
talk
to
those
people
and
then
we'll
have
folks,
and
you
know
among
the
tree
board
members
and
typically
if
the
tree
is
dangerous.
H
Well,
the
first
thing
we
do
is
ask
tim.
If
it's
dangerous,
if
it's
dangerous,
it's
you
know,
tim
takes
care
of
it.
He
decides.
He
makes
the
decision
there,
because
you
know
that's
not
what
we
should
be
doing.
If
the
tree
is
not
dangerous,
then
you
know
some
people
just
you
know
they
don't
like
leaves.
So
we.
H
Pretty
hard
you
know
about
cutting
trees
down
so
we're
pretty.
We
don't
do
it
very
often.
Oh,
I
know
what
it
was
the
other
day
there
was
a
family.
H
A
tree
on
on
2nd
street
and
they
didn't
like
this
tree
that
was
in
front
of
them.
It
was
it's
a
ash
tree
actually
and
it's
still
alive
and
it
looks
beautiful
and
they
were
just.
We
don't
want
that.
That's
not
what
we
want
our
house
to
look
like
it,
and
so
we
talked
and
we
talked.
And
finally
somebody
suggested
well
what,
if
tim,
just
prunes
it
up
a
little
bit
and
sees
what
you
think
and
tim
went
the
next
day
pruned
it
up
and
they
were
like.
Oh
my
gosh,
that's
a
beautiful
tree.
E
B
While
we're
still
in
discussion
on
the
motion
and
second
there's
also
a
restaurant
down
there,
is
it.
B
Okay,
we
have
a
motion
in
a
second
any
additional
discussion.
You
know
all
favorite,
please
say
hi
opposed.
Thank
you
for
bringing
this
to
the
board
too.
I
appreciate
it.
I
know
that
probably
was
a
little
change
in
process
for
you,
but
it
does
help
us
with
the
planning,
the
communication
and
also
in
this
community.
You
know
what
you're.
H
B
All
right,
nicole,
you
know
talk
about
blind
elimination,
crystal
beat
updates
and
she
provided
a
report
you
should
have.
I.
B
D
D
G
D
On
unsafe
structures,
we
just
ran
rough
numbers.
32
buildings
have
been
deemed
unsafe
since
2016.,
that's
as
far
back
as
I
went
on
the
letters,
so
there's
probably
more
than
that,
but
that's
as
far
as
I
got
before.
The
meeting
construction
has
occurred
on
six
of
those
to
stabilize
them
and
three
have
been
demolished
and
two
outside
of
that
have
been
approved
to
be
demolished
but
have
not
been
demolished.
D
Eight
of
those
have
received
pace,
grants
and
are
under
construction.
One
has
already
addressed
the
structural
issues
and
one
has
received
approval
from
the
historic
board
for
demolition,
so
we're
working
through
the
unsafe
properties
and
trying
to
clean
those
up
around
our
community
and
the
mayor
mentioned
earlier.
I
worked
we're
in
the
process
of
converting
all
of
our
systems
onto
an
online
platform.
D
That's
called
iworks.
You
approve
the
contract
to
go
forward
with
that
we've,
given
the
data
to
their
implementation
team
and
have
started
training
on
that.
We're
planning
to
activate
that
program
in
january
we're
already
starting
to
use
some
of
those
elements
in
house,
but
it'll
give
the
community
an
opportunity
to
put
in
nuisance
violations.
Let
us
know
where
they're
at
but
also
track
to
see
where
they're
at
in
the
process.
B
Cole,
thanks
for
this
report
shows
a
lot
of
progress
and
a
lot
of
progress
still
to
come.
Yes
adopting
iwork,
I
think,
is
going
to
again
just
help
us
manage
manage
the
process
better
and
have
a
cloud-based
platform
rather
than
paper-driven
like
we
are
now
and,
as
we
saw
earlier
today,
you
know
we're
taking
our
blight
elimination
strategy
very
seriously.
B
The
first
step
in
the
process
is
to
have
a
plan,
a
plan
on
how
we're
going
to
deal
with
it
and
then
that
plan
can
then
translate
down
to
working
with
property
owners.
I
think
it's
great,
on
the
nuisance
side,
for
example,
to
see
that
58
were
58
of
the
77
nuisances
were
baited
by
the
owner
and,
as
we
are
working
through
unsafe
structures,
part
of
the
investment
we're
continuing
to
make
in
that.
The
importance
of
that
is
the
hiring
of
additional
code
enforcement
resources
for
2022..
B
F
D
Yes,
so
when
a
property
is
cleaned
up
by
the
city,
they
receive
a
letter,
letting
them
know
that
it
has
been
cleaned
by
the
city.
It
includes
the
cost
of
that
amount
that
and
they're
given
20
days
opportunity
to
pay
just
that
amount,
but
it
also
lays
out
the
process
following
that.
If
they
don't
pay
that,
then
it
goes
as
a
loan
against
the
property
and
they
pay
not
only
our
costs
but
a
fine
and
then
any
recording
fees.
That's
required.
D
Yes,
yep
most
of
the
time
people
come
in
and
pay
the
costs
that
we
occurred
from
the
contractor.
But
if
they
don't,
then
it
goes
against
the
problem.
F
And
another
question:
I
guess
when
I
was
looking
at
the
going
around
looking
at
the
pace:
applications
the
one
on
west
or
one
on
each
street.
I
know
just
below
that
at
1,
12
and
114
e
street
there's
two
residences.
There
know
we
dealt
with
them
several
years
ago
when
I
was
on
the
board-
and
you
know
we
just
really
never
got
anywhere
with
them.
E
D
F
B
This
is
really
part
of
what
we
described
a
couple
months
ago
when
we
rolled
out
our
new
glide
elimination
policy
and
practice,
which
is
to
create
that
accountability
for
the
city
that
it
has
to
the
community
and
a
reporting
mechanism
to
come
to
board
department
work.
B
So
we
can
continue
to
amplify
the
progress
we're
making,
but
yet
the
things
that
we
still
need
to
do
and
invest
in
in
order
to
make
a
difference,
and
that's
why
we
started
with
literally
researching
the
entire
community
and
coming
up
with
what
is
our
universe
of
properties
that
should
that
fall
into
our
nuisance
or
unsafe.
And
then
we
went
through
a
raiding
process
with
them
to
to
determine
which
ones
were
the
highest
priorities.
B
F
I
know
that
that
area
of
west
street
100
block
and
200
block
of
e
street
a
lot
of
work's
been
done
in
that
area.
It's
it's
attractive
and
then
you've
got
these
two
places
side
by
side.
I
mean
it.
Just
really
stands
out,
really
stand
out,
just
drags
the
whole
name
right.
There.
B
F
D
D
So
the
next
meeting
I
can
have
a
much
better
update
for
you,
they're,
also
working
with
our
engineer
to
kind
of
re-plan
the
changes
in
the
locker
rooms,
not
necessarily
the
layout,
but
how
the
floor
repairs
is
going
to
go
still
to
be
ada
accessibility
but
save
the
city.
Some
money
on
that
construction,
which
we're
looking
forward
to
but
happy
to
answer
questions
as
I
can
for
that
project.
B
Yeah
I've
been
by
there
lately
the
demolition
that
they've
done
on
the
property
already
looks
like
a
tremendous
improvement.
F
F
D
It
would
fall
under
their
slash
the
city's
liability,
so
I
wouldn't
recommend
going
on
the
site
since
it
is
active,
but
if
you
guys
wanna
go
through
just
let
me
know,
I
can
help
coordinate
something.
B
I
B
J
E
J
Bit
over
the
weekend
and
watched
it
because
we
had
so
much
pedestrian
traffic
this
weekend
and
I
think
people
were
paying
attention.
I
actually
saw
two
cars
stop
and
let
people
cross
the
road
which
I've
never
seen.
J
Yes,
so
many
different
lines
of
crowd
right
right,
so
they
they
are
observing
the
notification
that
there's
a
crosswalk
there.
So
that
was
good
to
see
and
kenny
has
also
pushed
back.
The
speed
limit
signs
expanded
that
30
mile
an
hour
zone
on
the
west
end,
so
those
have
been
pushed
back
now
to
closer
to
dr
kennedy's
office
and
the
30
mile.
J
J
Oak
hill
update-
I
just
wanted
to-
we
talked
a
little
bit
at
council,
the
last
meeting,
but
I
don't
think
I
can
talk
to
this
board
about
our
application,
for
the
community
crossings
matching
grant
for
the
fall
of
2021,
and
I
think
I've
talked
to
you
before
about
how
we
purchased.
We
ordered
a
sidewalk
rating
plan.
J
They
literally
walked
through
every
sidewalk
in
town
and
gave
us
back
a
report
on
condition.
We
asked
them
to
rate
that
similar
to
the
pacer
rating
system,
that
we
do
for
roads
every
year
and
we
took
both
of
those
lists
and
overlaid
them
together,
on
top
of
each
other,
on
a
map
of
the
city
to
find
out
where
there
was
consistency
in
bad
roads,
bad
sidewalks-
and
I
gave
each
of
you
a
copy
of
this,
but
I
just
wanted
you
to
see
how
that
data
comes
out.
J
J
That
area
has
some
issues
that
overlap
as
well,
and
I
actually
tried
to
include
that
in
this
application,
but
it
made
the
cost
more
than
we
could
afford
to
do
so
I
pulled
that
out
we're
going
to
concentrate
on
doing
an
entire
new
neighborhood
for
the
oak
hill
residents
working
on
some
communication
for
them.
It.
A
C
I'll
talk
to
you
before
about
the
mauser
street,
you
know
out
of
that
sidewalk
very
nice
sidewalk,
both
sides
of
the
street
from
cragmont
east,
it's
raw
street
and
there's
no
more
sidewalks
and
miles
of
street
of
course
goes
on.
Commission
road,
no
sidewalks
north
of
south
side
makes
it
very
dangerous
to
walk,
and
just
so
you
know
in
the
future,
you
can
look
into
that.
I
think
that
they
would
let
go
back
contractor
because
of
the
cost
that
says
well,
you've
done
this
part,
so
forget
the
rest
of
it.
B
We
have
a
lot
of
areas
across
the
community
where
there's
should
have
been
sidewalks
from
50
60
years
ago
and
they
planted
it
and
subdivided
it
and
it's
very
expensive
to
come
in
and
install
those.
But
we
need
to
put
sidewalks
where
we
have
a
lot
of
pedestrian
traffic
like
8th
street
up
there
exactly
craig
mountain
school
that
got
kids
off
of
the
off
the
street
walking
to
school.
So
we're
continuing
to
look
at
not
only
our
sidewalk
management
plan,
which
is
about
repairing
remediating
sidewalks,
but
also
putting
these
levels
in
yeah.
J
I
know
that
the
area
I
mentioned
around
harlan
and
highland
there's
some
water
issues
there
as
well.
So
that's
that's
an
area
that
I
intend
to
focus
on
the
next
time.
We
apply
to
see
if
we
can
also
do
some
engineering
in
terms
of
storm
water,
drainage
and
fix
that
water
issue,
so
that
when
we
come
in
and
do
sidewalks
and
streets
it,
it
makes
a
lot
of
sense
and
they'll
be
in
better
condition
longer.
So.
B
G
J
The
board,
please
sure
it
was
the
total,
and
this
was
for
work
that
we
did
in
2020
as
well
fall
2020
and
all
of
2021.
It
was,
I
believe,
mayor
over
825
000
that
we've
invested
in
just
concrete.
J
So
that's
a
big
number
and
part
of
that
is
through
community
crossings,
and
part
of
that
is
just
work.
We've
done
on
our
own
and
we're
going
to
continue
to
do
that.
I
had
a
little
extra
money
in
concrete
left
in
the
budget
for
this
year
and
we
took
a
look
at
that
sidewalk
plan
to
see
where
is
there
an
area
we
could
spend
some
money
and
ended
up
doing
quite
a
bit
of
work.
J
That's
going
on
right
now
between
vaughn
and
main
street,
on
the
east
side
of
east
street
that
had
badly
radiated
sidewalks,
so
that
work
is
going
on
right.
Now
that
was
just
a
year-end
project
with
extra
funds
that
we
thought
we
could
put
to
good
use
and
get
some
work
done
before
the
end
of
the
year,
so
that.
E
B
Don't
gloss
over
that
fact
too
too
fast,
because
what
started
out
as
looking
at
a
sidewalk
that
was
in
disrepair
near
a
residence
turned
out
we're
doing
the
entire
stretch
of
sidewalk
from
main
street
to
bond
street
on
that
east
side.
So
that
is
what
our
strategy
is
rather
than
house
by
house.
It's
blocked
by
block,
because,
generally
you
don't
just
have
one
bad
sidewalk
in
front
of
someone's
house,
and
you
know
the
methodology
of.
If
you
can
afford
to
pay
for
the
concrete
you
kind
of
get
bumped
to
the
list.
B
That's
not
really
the
best
way
to
manage
your
sidewalk
projects.
That's
why
we
invested
in
the
asset
management
plan.
So
now
we
know
what
our
we
adopted
a
rating
system
for
all
of
our
sidewalks
and
we
can
start
working
on
a
priority
basis
to
target
our
worst
rated
sidewalks.
So
it's
that's
going
to
show
a
lot
of
impact
rather
than
you
know,
a
kind
of
a
tapestry
approach
across
the
community.
J
J
There
are
some
sidewalks
in
there
that
don't
need
to
be
replaced.
There's
a
very
nice
brick.
I
think
it's
a
herringbone
pattern,
brick
in
front
of
one
of
the
houses,
that's
beautiful,
so
we're
not
taking
that
out.
There's
an
aggregate
sidewalk
that
has
a
crack
in
it,
but
other
than
that,
it's
structurally
fine,
so
we're
not
removing
that
we're
doing
the
ones
that
need
to
be
replaced.
J
C
J
Higher,
that's
a
tough
one,
because
that
street
has
a
lot
there's
at
least
two,
maybe
three
large
sycamores
on
that
section,
and
it
has
really
done
a
number
on
the
sidewalks.
So
we've
had
tim
perry
down
there
to
look
at
it
and
advise
you
know:
do
they
need
to
come
out?
Do
the
roots
need
to
be
trimmed?
Can
we
just
pour
around
it?
What
was
the
best
solution
so
we're
trying
to
think
of
everything
and
do
it
the
best
we
can.
B
B
I
Board
very
unfortunate
taxiing
here
at
maine
and
west
pedestrian
was
in
the
right
of
way
going
across
the
crosswalk
on
the
east
side
of
the
intersection
made
in
the
west
going
northbound
on
a
southbound
motorist
was
turning
east
on
the
main
instructor
pedestrian
that
enforcement
completely
ran
over.
I
I
Essentially,
the
driver
statement
was
she
just
didn't,
didn't
see
her,
so
we've
got
a
protocol
with
regards
to
you
know
toxicology
reports
and
information
we're
so
waiting
for
that
to
come
back
that
was
handled
handled
accordingly
and
simply
nothing
appears
to
be
at
this
time,
nothing
more
than
that.
She
just
just
didn't
see
her
for
a
reason.
I
have
no
idea
very
thankful
that
she
survived.
B
I
Of
the
academy
now
yeah
we're
working
yeah.
Actually,
of
course,
the
three
that
been
killed
training
are
now
out
on
their
own
doing
a
great
job
we
have
megan
claus
will
be
graduating
this
thursday
from
the
law
enforcement
academy
I'll
be
attending
her
graduation
thursday
night
I'll
be
glad
to
get
back
in
back.
I
I
think
she's
going
to
be
an
outstanding
addition
to
our
department
and
we're
in
the
process
to
hire
to
replace
we
can't
replace
it,
but
to
fill
a
spot
captain
dan,
stefan
and
and
then
the
two
new
additional
hires
that
we'll
have
from
2022.
So
it
will
be
that
process
now,
but
having
everybody
back
and
becoming
fully
staff.
So
it
certainly
makes
a
difference
in
a
lot
of
the
things
that
that
we
can
do,
which
will
definitely
include
our
our
traffic
division.
I
We'll
definitely
have
that
up
and
running
by
the
first
year,
that'll
be
jordan,
perry
and
cody
lewis
they'll
be
heading
that
up.
One
of
our
main
focuses
will
be
on
main
street,
eliminating
truck
issues
and
in
our
crosswalks
after
to
make
sure
that
pedestrians
are
crossing
across
safely
without
any
traffic
issues.
So
a
lot
of
different
things,
of
course,
we've.
I
Locations
as
well
that
will
need
to
monitor,
but
having
these
two
officers
in
place
and
being
able
to
take
care
of
those
details
will
be
a
tremendous
asset
to
both
the
city
and
the
department
as
well,
so
look
forward
to
getting
them
in
there.
I've
got
a
few
other
items
as
well
that
I'm
going
to
have
them
work
on.
I
look
forward
to
getting
those
two
which
I
think
are
very
good
faces
for
our
department
spending
a
lot
of
time
with
the
boys
and
girls
club.
I
I
I
A
I
Traffic
backups,
I
haven't
seen
any
traffic
issues.
I
think
we've
had
a
few
minor
complaints
of
some
speeding
on
second
and
third
street,
so
you
know
we'll
definitely
address
that.
I
haven't
really
noticed
a
lot
of
additional
traffic
on
second
or
thursday.
I
don't
know
if
you,
gentlemen,
I
have
or
not
I'm
sure,
there's
probably
maybe
a
little
bit
more
but
really
no
concerns
there.
You
know
what
I
said
by
that
people
avoiding
maine
to
go
downstairs.
I
I
really
don't
see
it.
I
C
I
In
that
area
now
and
getting
out
of
your
vehicle
much
more
safer
than
what
it
was
you're
constantly
opening
your
your
car
door
in
the
length
traffic
just
so
it's
it's
been
a
remarkable
difference
and
I'm
sure
we're
going
to
see
that
in
our
statistics
you
know
for
years
to
come,
but
those
traffic
accidents
and
mishaps
down
there
really
fall
by
the
way
you
know
in
the
right
direction.
I
B
I
Maybe
six
or
eight
arrests.
Last
week
we
just
had
a
couple
of
significant
rest
over
the
weekend
which
getting
out
to
our
friends
in
the
media,
significant
amount
of
methamphetamine
and
cocaine
seeds
along
with
the
gun,
so
the
officers
you
know,
obviously
sees
the
narcotics
taking
weapons
off
the
street
as
well,
so
they're.
I
I
think
it
makes
a
significant
difference
in
our
community.
One
individual
was
from
out
of
town,
and
I
believe
that
the
report
will
show
that
that
he
was
here
to
deal
drugs
in
our
communities,
so
taking
him
off
the
streets
before
he
was
able
to
deal
with
drugs,
which
is
a
big
plus
very
pleased
with
that
on
other
areas
as
well.
I
B
I
To
the
parents
yeah
they
adhered
to
those
those
calls.
I
was
down
there
last
week
and
they
monitored
again
and
yeah
they're
doing
a
really
nice
job,
we're
not
having
that
back
up.
We.
E
I
Get
out
there
on
us,
of
course,
I
explained
to
them
why
and
they
understand
and
they're
working
really
well
actually
they're
able
to
pull
to
the
curbs
and
manage
you
know
some
areas
of
their
find
some
locations
in
there
to
park
until
they
can
get
your
little
ones.
So
it's
yeah.
It's
worked
out
very
well
and
it's
all
thanks
to
the
cooperation
of
the
school
and
the
parents,
which
we
appreciate.
I
B
Good
deal
a
lot
of
progress
and
thank
you,
so
chief
wallace
was
specifically
in
harm's
way
after
the
parade
on
saturday,
with
all
of
that
traffic
directing
traffic
at
the
intersection
on
broadway
and
maine
to
help
get
pedestrians
to
safety
over
there,
where
the
other
part
of
the
festival
is
going
on,
but
also
getting
cars
in
and
out
of
downtown.
There
was
a
lot
of
traffic.
I
Good
to
see
you
guys
out
there,
thank
you,
the
parade
was
really
tremendous
and
the
effort
put
forth
into
that
was
was
very
nice
and
big
thanks
goes
out
to
our
to
our
fire
department
and
the
street
department.
Those
guys
really
stepped
up
helped
us
with
securing
the
craig
route
and
without
them
we
wouldn't
have
the
near
the
success
we
did
with
the
tracking
booth.
So
big,
thank
you
for
our
department.
B
You
guys
were
the
parade.
You
saw
our
officers
on
foot
also
on
bike
in
the
cars
and
we
we
did
a
lot
of
safety
planning
so
that
we
would
not
have
an
incident
like
what
happened
in
wisconsin.
Unfortunately,
a
few
weeks
ago,.
F
F
Can
you
shed
any
light
on
that
situation?
What's
going
on
where
it's
coming
from.
I
B
If
the
process
is
exactly
as
it
would
be,
if
you
want
to
close
the
street,
come
to
city
hall,
there's
an
application,
the
application
get
approved
by
board
of
public
works.
Unless
it's
something
minor,
then
the
street
department
will
go
ahead
and
sign
off
on
it,
but
we
had
a
situation
with
a
lift
on
a
sidewalk
for
a
couple
weeks
that
eventually
had
to
be
told
to
be
moved,
and
we
need
good
communication,
because
it's
all
about
safety,
insurance,
work
zone
access,
all
those
things.
B
We've
been
doing
vegetation
remediation
on
several
culverts
that
were
instrumental
for
drainage,
downtown
and
eventually
we'll
be
doing
the
vegetation
remediation
in
that
section
of
peruvian
creek
that
we
approved,
and
then
lastly,
you
remember
earlier
this
this
spring,
we
signed
an
agreement
with
jefferson
county
to
with
regards
to
their
waste
management,
and
so
far
since
we
signed
that
agreement
with
jefferson
county
with
regards
to
trash
being
processed
through
our
transfer
station
through
the
end
of
october,
we
have
already
processed
958
tons
of
trash
as
part
of
that
contract,
and
it
looks
like
we're
averaging.
B
You
know
around
150
tons
a
month
so
that
I
think
that's
been
a
good
arrangement
for
both
of
us
and
it's
always
good
to
collaborate
with
our
our
county,
other
county
colleagues
and
the
community
across
the
county.
That's
all
I
have
for
today
and
I'll
open
up
to
any
public
comment
or
any
questions
you
all
might
have
with
me.
