A
Hello
welcome
everybody.
Hopefully
you
can
hear
us
all,
okay,
a
few
technical
issues.
This
end,
we
think
it's
the
heat,
it's
probably
about
31
degrees
here
in
england
today,
which
I
know
for
many
of
you
watching.
You
go.
That's
not
warm,
but
just
me
for
england.
It's
pretty
warm!
So
welcome
to
everybody
and
hello
aparna.
How
are
you.
A
So
look
we're
gonna
we're
gonna
crack
straight
on.
It's
it's
been
a
very
very
busy
month
for
for
the
for
all
the
team.
Really
we
really
wanted
to
bring
an
update
with
the
very
latest.
Obviously,
we've
got
the
virtual
summit
coming
up
very
soon,
so
expect
loads,
more
content
there,
but
we
really
wanted
to
bring
you
the
the
freshest
stuff
today
so
partner
how's,
your
how's
your
month
been
going.
What
you've
been
up
to.
B
So,
besides
being
hot
well,
actually
it's
kind
of
like
our
road
map,
our
road
map's
been
heating
up
as
well,
which
is
a
good
thing
for
for
all,
so
hello
community
hope
everybody's
had
a
great
june
and
we've
had
a
very
busy
june.
Just
from
a
high
level
standpoint.
B
I've
been
getting
from
the
community
around
gogan
just
to
just
to
provide
context
here,
so
creating
or
being
able
to
to
forge
native
tokens
is
kind
of
a
shorter
term
milestone
that
we
can
use
to
test
relevant
benchmarks,
like
maybe
on
cost
or
maybe
on
speed
of
the
transaction.
That
kind
of
thing
and
a
more
advanced
use
case
would
be
maybe
how
to
exchange
it
or
wrap
value
for
this
transact
for
transaction
fees
or
even
for
staking
rewards
in
the
future.
B
And,
of
course,
when
you
get
into
that
you
get
into
you
know
what
you're
going
to
be
looking
like
for
decentralized
exchanges
and
and
so
on
and
so
forth.
Now,
discussions
like
this
happen
every
day
with
all
different
elements
of
cardano,
not
just
gogen
and
that's
a
part
of
building
a
road
map.
It's
it's
really
exciting
stuff,
but
we
really
do
also
want
to
focus
on
like
the
delivery
aspect,
which
is
the
number
two
thing
I
wanted
to
talk
about.
Is
our
delivery
process
being
agile,
but
it's
one
thing
to
be
agile.
B
As
bugs,
for
instance,
not
only
are
these
bugs
so
quickly
going
to
resolution,
but
the
severity
level
of
them
they're
all
kind
of
low,
a
majority
of
them
are
low,
which
to
me,
is
a
really
good
proof
point
of
of
the
process
that
we've
been
following
so
far
so
great
great
job
to
the
team
in
doing
this,
and
then
the
value
proposition
I
spoke
about,
that's
the
third
thing
that
we're
thinking
about
is
brand
awareness
right,
so
we're
getting
to
the
shelly
finish
line
here,
but
that
doesn't
mean
it's
cardano's
finish
line
the
brand
awareness.
B
Who
are
we?
How
are
we
relevant?
What
are
we
able
to
leave
in
the
world
like?
What
are?
How
are
we
going
to
make
an
impact
in
the
market?
What
are
those?
What
are
those
use
cases?
So
the
brand
awareness
piece
is
huge.
We
do
have
a
commercial
team
here
at
at
iohk
and
a
lot
of
the
things
that
we're
doing
around
market
use.
Cases
has
been
driven
by
that
team
and,
of
course,
product
helps.
Technology
helps
all
the
other
other
elements
to
do.
B
Help
in
and
you'll
see
a
lot
of
this
in
the
virtual
summit
as
well,
so
we're
very
excited
about
that
so
where
which
use
cases
which
markets
are
going
to
benefit
from
decentralized
solutions
of
trust,
could
it
be
supply
chain
in
certain
geographic
areas?
Could
it
be
authentication
of
valued
goods?
Could
it
be
digital
identity
solutions?
On
the
blockchain
I
mean
those
are
all
really
really
good
use
cases,
and
we
are
very
excited
to
be
talking
to
you
about
it
next
week
and
then.
B
Finally,
none
of
this
can
happen
without
what
I
call
voc
voice
of
customer
voice
of
community
the
users.
You
know
we
start
this
process
with
byron
of
bringing
you
guys
in
we're
doing
this
with
shelley,
with
all
the
different
test
nets
and
how
we're
testing
with
our
pioneers
and
going
forward.
But
the
key
here
is
effectiveness
and
it's
not
only
having
you
test
our
alphas
and
betas.
But
how
do
we
test
our
early
stage
concepts
without
being
disruptive
to
the
delivery
trains
that
we've
already
set
up
now?
B
These
early,
these
early
concepts
can
be
they
they
can
either
survive,
or
they
might
just
be
early
concepts
and
and
just
sit
around
for
a
little
while,
and
you
don't
want
to
take
your
core
teams
and
and
kind
of
put
them
on
on
those
until
a
certain
level's
been
tested
and
which
segues
really
nicely
into
what
what
everybody's
been
talking
about
in
the
past
couple
of
days,
right
tim
on
to
a
test
chain
that
we
already
have
sitting
around,
that
could
be
repurposed
for,
for
something
like
that.
A
Yeah
yeah,
absolutely
I
mean
a
big
part
of
my
month's,
obviously
been
tracking
the
communications
along
with
the
role
of
shelly
on
the
main
net,
I
mean,
that's,
obviously
been
the
significant
focus
and
trying
to
make
sure
that
the
community
is
kept
involved
with
every
every
new
step.
But
yes,
of
course,
in
the
last
week,
of
course,
this
the
idea
around
the
itn.
You
know
we
we've
built
this
incredible
thing
with
the
community
and
maybe
there's
a
way.
A
We
can
extract
a
little
bit
more
value
from
it
from
the
short
term,
at
least
reward
people
for
a
little
bit
longer,
and
then,
ultimately,
you
know
try
some
more
stuff
out.
Now.
We've
put
a
couple
of
blog
posts
out
about
this
and
I
think
charles
is
going
to
try
and
do
a
whiteboard,
maybe
tonight
or
maybe
tomorrow,
to
try
and
explain
it
all
a
little
bit
more.
So
we're
not
going
to
go
into
too
much
depth
on
that
today,
but
obviously
that's
you
know,
potentially
a
very
exciting
thing.
We
could
do
that.
A
We,
you
know,
we
really
want
to
make
sure
we
get
the
community
behind
us.
If
we,
if
we
choose
to
go
down
that
route,
I
guess
for
for
me
and
the
team,
the
other
big
thing
for
us
you
mentioned
brand
earlier.
We
kicked
off
some
work
with
mccann
at
the
beginning
of
the
year.
As
everybody
knows,
a
brand
refresh
around
cardano
really
to
try
and
establish
some
of
the
principles
of
where
we
want
to
go
next
as
a
brand,
it's
cardona's
evolved
very
organically
and
I
think
it's
changing
very
rapidly.
A
It's
moving
from
a
project
into
something
that
is
much
closer
to
a
product
as
we
get
closer
to
try
and
drive
adoption.
So
we
really
felt
we
needed
to
take
a
fresh
look,
not
necessarily
to
completely
reinvent
things,
because
there's
so
much
of
value
that's
been
built
up
there,
we
kind
of
recognize
cardano,
but
we
never
quite
bottled
it.
So
we
tried
to
get
the
essence
of
it
inject
a
bit
more
freshness,
a
bit
more
life
into
that
and
you'll
have
seen.
A
Maybe
a
few
sneak
peeks
in
some
of
the
work
we've
done
around
the
summit
and
promoting
the
summit
as
well.
But
we'll
do
the
full
reveal
just
before
the
summit,
so
you'll
see
a
new
cardano.org
website,
which
really
is
the
foundation
for
the
new
era
and
the
new
identity
that
we
want
to
kind
of
take
forward
there.
So
that's
been
pretty
intense,
but
a
lot
of
fun
as
well.
A
So
that's
been
another
another
big
focus
but,
as
I
say,
main
thing
has
been
shelley
trying
to
ensure
that
the
communication
train
keeps
on
running
alongside
the
the
rollout
train.
So
we
thought
let's
get
straight
to
it
and
let's
get
the
man
himself.
Let's
get
kevin
onto
the
show.
A
Kevin
has
obviously
been
communicating
quite
regularly
he's
been
joining
our
ama
developer
hangouts
and
we
felt
that
no
one
better
really
than
kevin
to
maybe
give
us
a
little
bit
of
a
walk
through
the
road
map
where
we
are
now
and
where
we
go
next
and
to
to
have
a
look
at
how
things
are
going.
So,
let's
see
if
we
can
get
kevin
on
now
there
we
go
he's
just
on
his
way.
B
While
we're
pulling
kevin
in
just
give,
you
give
you
guys
a
couple
of
statistics
on
on
the
test
net
so
far,
so
with
the
shelley
test
net,
we
have
about
1861
connections
and
we're
looking
at
you
know
what
portion
of
that
are
different
different
locations
and
different,
just
to
understand
more
of
our
community
and
more
where,
where
you
guys
are
coming
from,
and
also
how
many
pools
we've
got
345
different
registered
pools
on
here
gives
us
a
lot
of
insight
into
how
well
this
thing
has
been
growing,
and
the
sentiment
has
been
incredibly
positive
from
the
community
polls
that
we've
been
doing
and
kevin's
been
on
telegram
and
he's
been
a
very
heavy
presence
with
with
all
of
you.
A
A
C
It's
been
great
well,
we've
we've
been
having
a
lot
of
fun
tim,
obviously
engaging
with
community.
The
pool
operators
are
fantastic.
It's
great
to
chat
to
them.
They've
been
really
constructive,
really
helpful,
pointing
out
things
to
us
where
we
can
make
improvements
pointing
out
fixes
to
us,
and
this
is
going
to
make
a
great
experience
for
absolutely
everybody,
as
we
roll
into
the
shell
era,
which
is
going
to
happen
really.
B
A
So
why
don't
you
just
give
a
quick
whip
through
the
road
map
and
maybe
a
couple
of
the
highlights
of
the
last
week
and
what
we
expect
to
be
happening
in
the
weekend.
I
think
you've
got
the
the
road
map
somewhere
lurking
behind
you
there.
Maybe
you
pull
that
on
the
screen
and
we'll
have
a
quick
walkthrough.
Is
that
good.
B
I
was
going
to
stay.
Why
don't
we
tell
the
community
about
what's
coming
up
this
this
month,.
C
Yeah,
there's
lots
coming
up
this
month,
so
this
week
we
have
rolled
out
the
hard
fork
combinator
on
time.
As
I
hope
people
have
noticed,
we've
been
busy
testing
it
in
the
background
and
we're
going
to
make
that
live
for
everyone
to
test
and
see
our
cr
testing
in
public
really
really
soon.
Now,.
B
A
B
All
right,
so
so,
let's,
let's
talk
about
what's
upcoming,
so
this
this
week
we
actually
released
the
mainnet
candidate
internal
release,
which
is
not
public
as
of
yet,
and
what
that's
going
to
do
is
help
us
test,
not
only
the
balance
check,
but
we're
also
testing
the
hard
four
combinator
we're
testing
that
in
multiple
different
private
networks,
so
that
we
get
a
good
sense
of
where
it
breaks
and
where
it
potentially
fails,
and
once
we're
comfortable,
we
spin
that
up
into
a
public
maintenance
candidate
release,
so
everybody
can
test
that
out,
along
with
the
with
the
wallet
which
shows
the
balance
check
from
the
itn.
B
So
all
of
that's
upcoming
we're
still
on
target
for
that
june,
30th
date.
As
of
now,
I
think
we
made
it
very
clear
last
month
that
the
that
that
is
the
first
date
if
there
was
any
bad
weather
conditions,
the
backup
was
july
7th
and
those
bad
weather
conditions
are
really
going
to
be
tested
via
the
hard
fork
combinator.
B
So
we're
being
extremely
transparent
here,
because
this
is
activating
the
hard
fork,
which
is
the
most
important
piece
of
technical
architecture
to
get
the
shelly
maynet
going
and
right
now
the
team
is
very
positive
with
us
and
how
how
it's
looking
so
far,
so
we
are
pretty
confident
as
a
leadership
team
to
say
that
it's
it's
june
30th.
A
So
you
know
what
upon:
why
did
we?
Why
did
we
let
kevin
switch
his
switch,
his
internet
off
and
and
come
back?
Maybe
we'll,
maybe
we'll
just
flip
onto
the
next
item,
which
I
know
from
the
from
the
tweets
out
there
at
the
moment
has
also
got
a
lot
of
interest,
so
I'm
going
to
invite
lars
on
to
onto
the
show
now
so
lars
brunia
again,
some
of
you
may
be
familiar
with
bran
is
his
work
on
the
on
the
the
heirlooms
of
rewards
and
parameters.
A
So,
let's
get
rid
of
let's
get
rid
of
the
road
map
for
now.
We'll
come
back
to
that
later.
If
we
can
retrieve
if
we
can
retrieve
kevin
so
lars
welcome.
A
So
lars
we've,
we've
literally
just
published
a
long-awaited
blog
post.
I
think
it's
probably
fair
to
say
that
you've
been
working
on
with
kevin
and
also
with
alexa,
we'll
get
onto
the
get
onto
the
show
in
just
a
moment
all
about
parameters
for
those
people
who
haven't
actually
seen
the
blog
post.
Yet
maybe
just
explain
briefly
what
are
parameters
in
the
context
of
cardano,
and
why
does
this
matter.
D
Well,
we
have
quite
a
lot
of
them
20,
I
think
or
19,
and
some
of
them
are
quite
esoteric
and
probably
only
of
concern
for
the
cryptographers
and
the
developers.
I
mean
things
like
that
have
to
do
with
network
latency
and
so
on,
but
then,
of
course,
there
are
at
least
five
that
are
of
much
more
general
interest,
I
believe,
because
they
directly
affect
how
how
attractive,
for
example,
staking
on
cardano
will
be.
That's
like
the
number
of
stake
pools
that
we
expect
and
the
monetary
expansion
parameters
like
that.
D
So
we
work
very
hard
to
to
find
good
initial
proposed
values
for
these
parameters,
for
the
others.
E
A
And
this
obviously
isn't
work,
what
you've
you've
done
in
an
ivory
tower.
This
is
something
I
think
we've
been
very
much
trying
to
talk
to
the
community
and
and
get
some
feedback
and
feeding
that
into
the
process,
so
alex.
Welcome,
alex
you've
also
been
working
with
kevin
and
trying
to
nail
down
some
of
these
parameters.
How
have
how
have
you
found
the
process?
Because
it's
been
a?
It's
been
taken
a
little
bit
of
work
to
get
to
this
point.
Hasn't
it.
F
Yeah,
it's
been,
it's
been
quite
a
bit
of
work
to
to
get
to
this
point
and
try
to
sort
of
understand
and
learn
from
from
from
other
chains
that
are
obviously
also
incentivizing
their
operators.
So
we
we
basically
set
out
to
to
achieve
three
three
potential
goals,
so
the
first
one
is
to
sort
of
you
know,
get
decentralization
and
decentralization
basically
also
means
stability
in
our
system.
So
we
picked.
We
specifically
picked
a
low
value
of
k
to
start
with
and
then
upload
that
parameter
along
the
way.
F
So
that's
specifically
intended
to
support
both
big
pools
and
and
and
smaller
pools
in
order
to
sort
of
get
equal
equal
incentive.
So
that
also
comes
back
to
to
to
the
second
part
which
is
which
is
around
you
know,
incentivizing
the
operators
of
our
network.
So
what
we?
What
we
wanted
to
make
sure
is
that
you
know
if
you
either
have
a
smaller
pool
or
you
have
a
larger
pool,
you
wouldn't
get
any
disproportionate
amount
of
the
of
the
incentives.
F
So
that's
why
we
select
the
monetary
expansion,
the
way
that
we
did
and
then
I
think
the
final
one,
which
is,
which
I
think
is
an
important
one.
If
you're
a
staple
operator,
you
you
own
a
business
on
cardano
and
if
you
own
a
business
in
cardano
or
actually
in
in
any
in
any
circumstances,
you
don't
want
any
sort
of
like
certain
changes
on
your
income.
So
that's
that's!
F
That's
the
third
one
that
we
picked
as
an
important
goal
and
and
the
selection
around
all
these
parameters
have
been
based
on
that
so
yeah.
That's
that's
how
we
got
there.
A
D
Yes,
so
just
as
a
very
brief
recap,
we
have
this
pledge
mechanism
that
is
to
prevent
civil
attacks
or
the
civil
attack
problem
is
if
some
attacker
sets
up
hundreds
of
pools
and
claims
that
he
has
very
low
cost,
makes
him
very
attractive,
and
then
people
would
delegate
to
his
pools
and
could
and
then
he
could
basically
take
over
the
network
and
in
order
to
prevent
that
you
have
this
pledge
influence
factor,
which
means
you
it's
basically,
the
pool
owner's
own
stake
that
sits
in
the
pool.
D
So
the
idea
is
that
put
your
money
where
your
mouth
is.
If
you
run
a
pool,
put
your
own
money
into
it,
and
this
is
not
a
hard
limit,
so
there
is
no
minimal
pledge,
but
there
is
this
influence
factor
which
determines
how
much
for
the
pool
reward
calculation,
the
this
pledge
counts
compared
to
the
costs
and
the
other
parameters
of
the
pool,
and
that
is
very
difficult
to
to
actually
come
up
with
the
value
for
it,
because
there
are
so
many
things
to
consider.
D
I
mean
you,
don't
want
to
make
it
too
high,
so
that
people
can
actually
afford
setting
up
a
stake
pool.
But
if
you
set
it
to
low,
then
there's
this
risk
of
civil
attacks
so
kevin
ran.
I
think
millions
of
simulations
with
models
and,
of
course,
it's
difficult
to
get
realistic
data,
but
we
have,
of
course
the
itn
and
we
have
mathematical
models.
A
And
I
think
that's
that's
an
important
point
to
make
that
really.
This
is
kind
of
a
starting
point
very
much.
We
do
expect
these
to
move,
but
we've
hopefully
landed
a
space
to
start
with
that,
we'll
get
things
off
to
a
good
start
and
give
us
that
opportunity
and
that
feedback
now
now
lars.
When
I
was
reading
the
piece,
one
of
the
phrases
I
saw
mentioned
was
was
this
concept
of
half-life
now
to
me,
half-life
is
either
something
to
do
with
chernobyl
or
my
favorite
video
games.
D
Well,
for
me,
as
a
mathematician,
it's
exactly
the
same
as
with
with
chernobyl,
I
mean
they
are
in
chernobyl,
the
radioactive
material
deteriorates
and
radiates
away,
and
in
our
case
the
reserves
radiate
away.
So
we
have
this
fixed
number
fixed
amount
of
reserve,
something
like
14
billion
ada
and
each
epoch.
We
take
a
certain
percentage
out
of
that
to
to
use
it
for
rewards
and
for
the
treasury.
D
So
it's
I
mean
mathematically,
it's
exactly
the
same
as
with
radioactive
material,
so
a
certain
percentage
gets
reduced
every
time
and
because
it's
a
percentage
and
not
an
absolute
value,
it
gets
more.
I
mean
less
and
less
over
time
I
mean
one
percent
of
14
billion
is
less
than
one
percent
of
10
billion.
D
D
That
turns
out
to
be
four
point
something
years,
so,
every
four
and
a
bit
years,
the
remaining
reserves
will
be
half
so
in
four
years.
It's
seven
billion
another
four
years,
it's
three
and
a
half
billion,
and
so
on.
So
that's
the
half-life.
A
And
and
alex
before,
people
have
to
start
getting
their
calculators
out
and
trying
to
to
manually
work
all
this
stuff
out.
I
understand
we're
working
on
a
on
a
smoking
calculator
behind
the
scenes
to
give
some
indications
to
people.
Where
are
we
on
we're
not
far
off
from
being
able
to
push
that
out
now?
Aren't
we.
F
No,
no
we're
actually
we're
actually
pretty
close
to
to
get
this
out.
So
we
have.
We
have
two
intentions
with
the
with
the
rewards
calculator,
so
the
first
one
is
obviously
so
you
can
calculate
how
much
rewards
you
can
expect,
based
on
the
on
the
current
set
parameters,
but
the
other.
The
other
part
of
it
is
that
you
can
also
play
with
the
parameters
themselves
and
try
to
figure
out
what
what
you
would
suggest
to
be
the
optimal
scenario.
The
optimal
situation.
A
Yeah,
okay,
fantastic,
look
guys!
Thank
you
very
much
for
for
joining
us.
As
I
say,
the
the
the
link
to
the
blog
post
is.
Is
there
we
might
have
time
to
take
a
couple
more
questions
at
the
end
around
this,
we'll
we'll
have
a
little
bit
of
a
look
in
a
while,
but
I'll
I'll
say
farewell
to
you
both
for
now,
and
we
maybe
see
you
a
bit
later.
So
thanks
very
much.
Thank.
A
Cheers
thanks
thanks,
alex
okay,
great
well,
hopefully,
that
that
blog
post
will.
You
know,
if
not
give
all
the
information.
Everybody
is,
after
at
least
set
the
debate
within
certain
certain
parameters,
no
no
pun
intended
so
that
we
can
move
forwards
on
that.
Okay,
so
I
think
now,
let's,
let's
maybe
see
if
we
can
get
kevin
back
in
for
the
for
the
road
map
and
and
if
we
can
we'll
go
back
to
that.
A
And
I'll
tell
you
what
I'll
invite
rod
at
the
same
time
and
whoever
gets
here
first
wins
the
prize.
A
It
was
a
great,
it
was
a
great
road
map,
but
we
could
we
can't
do
it
justice
kevin.
So
let
me
let
me
see
if
I
can
fire
that
up
again
and
and
we
can,
we
can
pick
up
where
we
left
off
yeah.
So
there
we
go,
can
yeah
it's.
F
F
B
C
We
were
saying
how
great
it's
going
to
be
and
how
it's
how
exciting
the
road
map
is.
So
what
I
was
saying
is
that
the
hartford
combinator
we
ran
the
first
tests
this
week,
we're
all
extremely
excited
by
that
and
in
the
next
few
days
we'll
be
opening
up
the
tests.
The
community
will
be
able
to
see
the
results.
C
The
hard
fork
combination
test
to
be
able
to
go
through
the
experience
with
us
and
the
plan
is
to
go
through
several
transitions
over
a
short
period
of
time
initially,
and
then,
when
we've
we're
happy
that
everything
is
working
absolutely
perfectly
we'll,
do
it
a
live
like
test.
C
So
we'll
start
off
in
the
bar
bayern
era,
we'll
we'll
run
for
a
full
epoch,
we'll
have
daedalus
running
people
will
be
able
to
participate
as
pool
operators
and
we'll
then
see
the
transition
happen
and
you'll
see
us
go
through
the
hard
fork,
and
that
will
give
everyone
a
huge
amount
of
confidence
that
we'll
be
able
to
do
it
for
real
a
few
weeks
later
in
july.
C
So
then,
in
addition,
we're
going
to
be
rolling
out
a
new
version
of
the
node
114
has
just
been
tagged.
That's
going
to
be
going
live
very
very
soon
now
and
that's
going
to
let
you
see
the
basis
for
your
rewards
from
the
itn,
so
you'll
be
able
to
login
to
the
test
snatch
using
daedalus
or
the
wallet
cli
and
see
what
what
balances
of
the
rewards
that
you've
earned
over
the
last
six
months.
A
And
that'll
be
that'll,
be
a
fully
featured
wallet,
kevin
that'll,
be
a
that'll,
be
a
kind
of
a
maybe
not
all
the
functionality
be
switched
on,
but,
broadly
speaking,
experience
will
be
will
be
a
full
shelley
experience.
Yeah.
C
It's
it's
exactly
the
same
wallet
that
we're
running
on
the
existing
haskell
test
net.
I
just
tuned
slightly
for
the
balance
checks.
It's
a
real
live
wallet.
You
won't
be
able
to
delegate
your
test
data
from
that.
Of
course,
it
doesn't
have
any
real
value
at
this
point
in
time,
but
when
we
get
this
over
to
the
mainnet
then
and
we
go
live
with
the
delegation
features
after
the
hard
fork
at
the
end
of
july,
then
you'll
be
able
to
delegate
that
using
essentially
the
same
wallet.
C
Beyond
the
balance
check
and
the
roll
out
well,
the
main
thing,
of
course,
is
going
to
be
the
hard
fork
10
at
the
end
of
july,
and
we
will
before
we
do,
that
we
have
to
end
of
life.
The
existing
relay
knows
the
sl
relay
nodes
move
over
to
the
pure
byron
shelley.
Our
node
will
have
the
hard
fought
combinator
built
in
this
is
the
hybrid
node
that
can
transition
from
fire
and
into
shelley.
C
So
the
sl
nodes
have
to
be
switched
off
before
that
happens,
then
that
will
allow
us
to
go
through
the
hard
fork
on
july,
the
29th
and
then
on
august,
the
4th
or
august
the
3rd
august,
the
fourth,
because
it's
shelley's
birthday,
I
understand
on
august
4th
we'll
be
going
live
with,
with
the
first
pause,
you'll
be
able
to
delegate
to
the
pools
and
then
during
august
you'll
be
able
to
stake
your
age
and
earn
the
rewards
so
about
the
middle
of
august.
C
A
So
I've
been
I've
been
lobbying
sam
leathers
to
see
if
we
can
put
a
little
birthday
greeting
onto
the
onto
the
shelley
blockchain
on
his
on
his
birthday,
which
would
be
rather
a
nice
thing
to
do.
But
somehow
sam
doesn't
see
that
as
a
priority.
Just
now,
but
that's
fair.
C
A
C
Yeah
we're
looking
we're
looking
very
good
tim,
it's
everything
is
looking
great
as
a
partner
but
saying
the
tests
are
running
smoothly.
We're
only
lining
up
small
glitches
as
we
go
along.
Obviously,
there's
still
a
lot
more
to
do,
but
a
lot
of
a
lot
of
things
we
want
to
do
can
happen
once
we've
gone
to
the
rollout
so
there'll
be
various
improvements
we'll
be
looking
to
deal
with
to
ramp
up
the
performance,
so
it's
even
better
than
it
is
at
the
moment.
C
We
will
be
looking
to
improve
the
cli
to
bring
in
more
features
into
the
explorer
more
features
into
daedalus,
very
exciting
things
going
to
be
happening,
so
it's
all
go,
but
it's
absolutely
fantastic.
A
Being
at
the
moment-
but
I
don't
think
many
of
us
are
but
thank
you
kevin
and
we'll
we'll
speak
to
you
soon.
Thank
you,
okay!
Well,
there
we
go.
You
heard
it
straight
from
from
kevin,
looking
good,
still
confident,
obviously,
always
the
danger
of
icebergs,
let's
be
clear,
but
yeah
we're
making
we're,
making
good
progress.
A
A
Okay,
yeah,
I
think
we've
got
gremlins
in
the
system
today.
Aparna
this
is
there's,
definitely
not
liking.
The
heat
here.
A
Yeah-
let's
just
get
rid
of
this
here-
okay
yeah,
so
I
mean
the
the
other
thing.
We've
obviously
been
working
on
a
lot
and
particularly
the
work
of
rod
who
I'm
trying
to
invite
on
the
screen,
but
we'll
we'll
just
talk
a
little
bit
about
it
now
and
hopefully
we'll
get
him
up
here
soon.
The
virtual
summit
coming
up
on
the
second
and
the
third.
A
Now
I
was
shown
the
agenda
today
which
we're
due
to
be
hopefully
releasing
and
putting
live
on
the
website
within
the
next
working
day,
or
so
I
mean,
we've
got
a
remarkable
amount
of
content
on
there.
Haven't
we
partner,
I
mean
what
is
it
five
five
separate
tracks
over
two
days,
something
like
that?
Yes,
oh
there's
the
man
tell
me
about
it.
A
Fantastic
okay
rod,
so
everybody
rod
alexander,
is
io's
media
director,
really
the
driving
force
behind
the
summit
working
with
kerry,
deyoung
who's.
Our
events
manager,
who
unfortunately
can't
be
here
tonight
but
big,
shout
out
to
kerry
and
thank
you
rod
before
we
kind
of
take
a
look
at
some
of
the
tasty
morsels.
We've
got
in
store
at
the
at
the
summit.
Perhaps
you
just
want
to
introduce
yourself
a
little
bit.
Tell
us
what
a
what
a
media
director
does
at
I
o
and
and
how
you
got
here.
E
I'll
take
those
chronologically,
it
was
a
fairly
securities
route
to
iohk,
as
is
the
case
for
most
of
us.
I've
worked
in
media
and
communications
for
about
30
years
since
1990,
initially
as
a
journalist
and
then
primarily
in
government
communications,
also,
director
of
communications
at
the
uk's
national
journalist,
but
in
government
communications.
I
worked
in
an
area
that
was
directly
relevant
to
nascent
industry
sectors.
E
Companies
have
the
advantages
of
economies
of
scale,
manufacturing
expertise,
prototyping
facilities,
but
aren't
as
agile
and
innovative.
We
put
them
together
with
the
smaller
innovative
companies,
because
we
have
this
belief
that
innovation
is
a
contact.
Sport
often
we
put
together
companies
from
entirely
disparate
industry
sectors,
and
so
that
was
a
really
really
interesting
time.
For
me
and
one
of
the
industry
sectors
I
had
responsibility
for
from
2013
was
blockchain
and
the
space
at
that
time
was
very,
very
different
at
that
stage.
E
Blockchain
was
very
very
much
a
solution
looking
for
problems,
whereas
now
there
are
all
sorts
of
fairly
formalized
applications
and
enterprise
applications
for
blockchain
technology
which
we're
just
starting
to
take
advantage
of.
A
I
think,
in
terms
of
you
say
that
you
say
they're
wrong
about
this
idea
of
kind
of
bringing
companies
together.
You
know
this
is
the
cardano
virtual
summit,
but
again
I'm
not
going
to
give
too
much
of
your
agenda
away
right.
Now,
I'm
going
to
ask
you
in
a
moment,
but
that's
been
very
much
about
bringing
people
partners
together,
innovators
from
throughout
the
throughout
the
blockchain
community,
and
beyond
I
mean
we,
we've
announced
that
we've
got
vint
cerf
coming
to
the
show
to
do
one
of
our
one
of
our
sessions.
E
Vincert
is
is
quite
a
bit,
but
there
are
two
things
that
have
driven
me:
people
that
have
accused
me
of
being
lucky
in
the
past.
Two
things
have
driven
me.
Firstly,
the
idea
that
the
world
loves
a
trier
and
secondly,
the
idea
that,
if
you
don't
ask
you
don't
get
beyond
all
of
that,
of
course,
vince
surf's
ambitions
for
the
internet
map
very
very
closely
to
ours.
E
Philosophically
we
really
take
take
the
view
that
value
sapping
intermediaries
do
nothing,
but
that
they
set
value
with
a
strong
belief
in
peer-to-peer
communication,
the
fangs,
the
dominant
technology
companies
around
the
globe
now
responsible
for
very
aggressive
data
harvesting
and
now,
almost
as
a
condition
of
using
most
of
the
main
online
services
giving
away
our
personal
data
is
required,
and
so
our
opposition
to
that
in
certain
opposition.
E
To
that
to
that
idea,
matt
very
very
well,
and
I
can't
tell
you
what
he's
going
to
say,
but
he's
going
to
have
some
very,
very
strong
opinions
to
share
this
summer.
A
One
of
the
fathers
of
the
internet-
hopefully
he
can
be
there
at
the
well,
not
quite
the
birth
of
the
blockchain,
but
certainly
the
early
steps
of
the
blockchain,
so
it's
fantastic
to
have
been
there.
I
also
noticed
on
the
agenda.
I
think
we've
we've
announced
steven
wolfram
is
also
joining.
You
know
a
fundamental
physicist
and
a
steam
mathematician
a
creator
of
his
own
language.
Again,
you
know
bringing
people
in
who
aren't
necessarily
the
most
obvious
choices.
A
E
Before
I
reveal
some
of
the
things
that
are
going
to
some
sessions,
we're
going
to
run
at
the
summit
first
of
all
on
stephen
wolfram
you're,
quite
right,
it's
he's
not
the
kind
of
person
we
usually
invite
to
the
summit.
E
But
what
we've
done
this
year
is:
we've
created
a
summit
that
is
literally
five
times
larger
than
last
year's
summit,
we're
running
five
parallel
tracks
across
the
summit,
looking
at
the
science
of
blockchain
business
and
enterprise,
applications
of
blockchain,
the
community
and
building
the
cardano
community
and
governance
and
regulation
the
other
track.
The
main
track
is
really
focused
around
the
world
in
partly
focused
around
the
philosophy
of
blockchain.
E
So
not
what
we
do,
but
why
we
do
it
our
driving
motivation
and
that's
where
people
like
stephen
warfrank,
stephen
buffram,
come
in
they've
done
a
huge
amount
of
work
around
complexity.
Theory
in
the
idea
that
computational
systems
are
really
required
in
order
to
study
complexity
in
nature
and
in
other
systems.
E
The
reason
I
say
that
is
because
pretty
much
everything
we
do,
particularly
since
the
itn
is
being
done
on
the
basis
of
co-development
with
the
cardamom
community.
So
I
haven't
had
an
opportunity
previously
to
give
a
shout
out
many
thanks
to
the
cardinal
community,
but
they've
worked.
You
know,
they've
been
invaluable
to
many
of
our
own
internal
researchers
and
our
developers
and
helping
to
develop
the
blockchain
and
we're
hoping
that
they
enjoy
some
of
the
various
tracks
that
we
put
on
for
them.
A
And
indeed,
we've
got
a
couple
of
community
members
presenting,
I
believe
as
well.
Haven't
we
as
part
of
the
part
of
the
program,
so
that'll
be
good
as
well.
I
know
that
umed,
for
example,
is
doing
a
session.
I
believe
maybe
mike
fullman
is
doing
one
not
quite
sure,
but
anyway
look
yeah.
No,
I
absolutely.
A
I
think
this
is
what
is
so
exciting
to
me
about
this,
not
only
the
the
breadth
and
the
depth
of
the
content,
but
the
way
it
draws
upon
all
those
different
themes
and
really,
although
this
is
about
cardano
shelly,
it's
ultimately
about
much
more
than
that,
it's
ultimately
about
the
future
of
this
space,
and
so
we
think
there's
something
for
everybody
I
mean,
maybe
maybe,
rather
than
tell
us,
maybe
a
few
examples
that
certain
people
might
be
interested
in,
because
obviously
some
people
are
more
interested
in
the
research
side.
A
E
We
will
have
brian
bundorf
from
the
ceo
of
the
hyperledger
consortium
will
be
speaking
in
a
panel
around
the
benefits
of
open
source,
open
source
development
and
the
way
the
height
age
consortium
works.
We've
got
a
couple
of
additional
companies
that
work
projects
that
are
based
within
hyperledger,
we'll
be
speaking
last
session.
That
session
as
well.
E
E
Clear
message
to
the
rest
of
the
industry
that
we
aren't
maximists,
we
don't
take,
take
the
view
we
will
win
and
anyone
else
will.
We
take
the
view
that
society
at
large
through
the
adoption
of
blockchain
technology,
and
we
have
some
of
the
answers.
Other
people
have
some
of
the
answers.
We
contribute
all
of
our
artists
and
code
openly
and
we'll
certainly
take
elements
of
code
from
other
from
from
other
from
other
people
benefit,
but
ultimately
the
benefit
of
people
will
be
using
blockchain
and
enable
services
in
the
future.
E
We'll
have
ben
gertzel
speaking,
who
is
a
researcher
who
really
works
at
the
intersection
of
artificial
intelligence
and
blockchain?
Who
is
going
to
be
speaking
in
the
in
the
velocity
track?
We've
got
katelyn
long,
who
needs
a
little
introduction,
she's
something
something
vagina
in
the
blockchain
space
she
was.
E
She's
now
setting
up
avanti
a
a
bank
or
digital
asset
in
the
state
of
of
wyoming
she'll,
be
talking
about
some
projects
that
she's
involved
in
and
other
wyoming
folk
will
taken,
be
a
journey
where
she
explains
how
way
I
got
to
got
to
where
it
is
and
what
the
future
looks
like
for
it.
B
Okay,
so
tim
a
couple
things
that
I
was
very
interested
in
because
I
think
rod
you
guys
did
a
great
job
on
the
agenda,
the
tracks,
the
amount
of
content.
That's
it's
pretty
amazing
and
I
think
everybody
in
the
community
are
going
to
be
happy,
regardless
of
what
your
angle
is
coming
and
coming
to
the
summit.
If
you're
more
on
the
technology
side,
there
are
things
around.
B
There
are
things
around
that
that
kevin's
going
to
be
speaking
about
duncan's,
going
to
be
speaking
about
more
and
shelley,
and
the
parameters
you're
going
to
you're
going
to
get
your
fill
over
there
if
you're
more
on
the
thought
leadership
side
there
are
things
around
in
you
know
economic
inclusion
using
decentralized
id
that
I
think
charles
is
going
to
be
doing
with
one
of
our
commercial
guys,
there's
of
course,
vince
cerf's
talk,
which
is
that's
a
star
online.
I'm
definitely
going
to
be
gonna
gonna.
B
Go
to
that
one
there's
also
cross
chain
communication
from
research.
So,
if
you're
more
interested
in
what
we're
doing
on
the
innovation
side,
take
a
look
at
some
of
the
sidechain,
the
hydra
channels
across
chain
communication,
maybe
with
zero
knowledge,
starks
privacy,
there's
there's
other
things
that
we're
looking
at
outside
of
this
particular
road
map,
but
definitely
from
an
innovation
side.
B
That's
that's
on
that's
on
the
docket
and,
of
course,
on
the
community
side,
ambassador
programs,
how
we're
bringing
in
this
voc
that
I
spoke
about
and
our
community
members
that
are
speaking
please
support
them,
take
a
look
at
their
their
sessions,
as
well
as
the
right
questions.
We
love
this
engagement,
we're
so
excited
for
the
summit
and
looking
forward
to
seeing
you
guys
next
week
there
virtually.
A
E
It's
virtual
events
and
from
the
essentially
the
foyer
in
the
virtual
location,
it's
possible
to
choose
which
of
the
tracks,
which
would
be
conference
halls.
You
you
you
go
into,
then
you
can
there
essentially
live.
E
You
can
view
the
content
and
the
presentations
and
the
q
and
a's
and
the
live
panel
discussions
and
live
panel
discussions
as
well.
As
you
indicate,
it
will
also
be
possible
for
people
to
access
the
sessions
on
demand
pretty
much
immediately
after
the
event.
So,
if
you've
not
been
able
to
attend
the
event
in
real
time,
you
can
catch
up
on
it
on
it
later
we're
a
global
community.
So
time
taking
the
event
has
been
a
challenge.
We've
tried
to
spread
it
out.
E
We've
tried
to
ensure
that
a
community
members
in
the
far
east
and
also
people
on
the
west
coast
of
the
of
the
us
are
all
able
to
access
some
of
the
content.
Some
of
the
times,
as
I
say
it's
possible
for
people
to
catch
up
on
demand
immediately
afterwards.
Most
important
one
thing
really,
though,
is
for
people
to
go
to
and
register
the
most
important
thing,
as
I've
said
that
we've
got
all
manner
of
wonderful
speakers,
but
the
most
important
thing
that
we
need
are
the
cardano
community.
E
I
mean
you
know,
no
matter
how
good
the
roster
of
speakers
we've
got
without
the
community
there
with
the
event
would
have
been
a
failure
ready
registration,
let's,
let's
get
that
as
high
as
we
can
so
I'd
encourage
everyone
watching
to
make
sure
that
they
they
know
not
just
if
they're
in
the
cardano
community,
but
in
particular
they're.
Not
yet.
If
I
can't
honor
community
encourage
other
people
to
come
along
and
attend
some
of
the
events
and
get
a
good
grounding,
blockchain
work
we're
doing
a
way
of
trying
to
improve
betterment.
A
Fantastic
rod,
thank
you
very
much
both
for
coming
on
the
show
and
all
the
work
you
do
behind
the
scenes
to
make
a
summit
quite
an
event.
We'll
we'll
see
you
on
the
second
and
third
thanks
very
much
cheers.
A
Okay,
so
aparna
look,
I
mean
we're
having
a
few
video
quality
problems.
I
think
we're
gonna
probably
leave
the
questions
here.
I
think
we've
done
a
fairly
good
job
in
answering
them
kevin
I
see
and
alex
have
been
working
behind
the
scenes
to
kind
of
address
some
of
those
particular
questions
on
pledge.
So
with
the
summit
coming
up,
I
reckon
we
probably
might
might
get
back
to
launching
shelley
and
just
let's,
maybe,
let's
just
wrap
up
here,
just
a
few.
A
A
few
closing
thoughts
on
the
summary
we
mentioned
the
itn
at
the
beginning,
so
keep
an
eye
out
for
charles's
whiteboard
coming
very
very
soon,
not
sure
if
charles
is
in
the
chat
has
been
sharing
details
when
that's
coming,
but
I
understand
it's
very
much
on
the
way
keep
an
eye
out
for
that
and
the
potential
extension
of
the
rewards
on
the
itn
things
still
looking
good
on
shelley
rollout,
the
the
wizards
plan,
edsco
and
duncan's
unicorn
is
real.
A
It
seems
the
hard-fought
combinator
is
is
on
track
to
work
there,
particularly,
we
published
some
parameters
still
very
much
a
starting
point,
but
obviously
a
big
point
of
interest
for
the
community.
So
let's
continue
that
dialogue
good
place
to
start
lots
of
lots
of
room
to
build
on
that
and
yeah
and
the
summit
five
tracks.
Two
days
I
mean
that's,
that's
ten
days
worth
of
content.
Isn't
it
if
you
want
to
watch
it
all
that's
value!
A
I
think
that
that
that's
value
for
zero
dollars,
so
we
hope,
as
many
of
you
on
this
call,
will
be
able
to
join
as
possible
a
couple
more
things
to
watch
out
for
the
rewards
calculator
that'll
be
coming
fairly
soon,
hopefully
the
next
few
working
days.
I
think
from
my
understanding
and
the
full
agenda
for
the
summit
again,
probably
another
another
day
or
two
working
time
before
we
publish
those
but
more
stuff
to
look
out
for
so
any
last
words
from
your
opponent.
B
No
thank
you
for
your
support
community.
We
we
really
appreciate
you
being
with
us
on
these
shows
and
following
us
in
this
journey
and
for
your
patience
and
and
what
we're
doing
we're
very
excited.
We
hope
you
are
too.
It
sounds
like
you
are,
so
so
look
forward
to
seeing
you
at
the
summit
virtually
and
also
unveiling
shelly.
Thank
you
so
much.
A
Okay,
well,
thank
you
guys
if
you've
been
watching
this
live
on
crowdcast
thanks
as
ever
for
the
engagement,
it's
really
good
to
see
your
comments
and
vitalik
I'll,
try
and
slow
down
for
you
next
time
a
little
bit,
but
if
you're
watching
this
on
youtube
after
the
event,
please
join
us
live
next
time.
Last
thursday
of
every
month,
cardano
update
look
forward
to
the
summit
in
between.
So
thanks,
everybody
we'll
see
you
soon.
