I

Just
briefly
tell
you
what
I
do
I'm
in
Colorado
and
I
manage
a
Consortium
called
Aspen
cat?
That
is
a
mix
of
all
sorts
of
types
of
libraries.
We
have
two
different
servers,
one
with
public
and
academic
and
schools
and
specials,
and
then
one
with
prison
libraries
that
that
we
manage
as
well,
that
has
some
different
setup
needs
and
security
needs.
So
so
that's
what
I
do?

with

University
of
Bridgeport
and
we
got
koha.
We
started
using
koha
in
2018
and
then
in
2021
we,
our
Institution,
was
at
risk
of
folding
and
Goodwin
Universal
also
uses
they
kind
of
purchased
us.
So
we
are
not
using
koha
as
a
consortia
yet,
but
there
is,
you
know
we're
discussing
with
our
sister
institution
Goodwin,
possibly
doing
that
in
the
future.

one
of

main
benefits
of
doing
the,
where
you're
on
the
same
server
and
branches
is
the
resource
sharing,
is
just
so
much
easier.
So
if
that's
in
your
plans,
that
is
a
whole
lot
easier
than
going
outside
and
like
having
to
create
ill
records
and
all
that
stuff.
So
that's
super
convenient
as
well
as
a
catalog
that
it
could
be
easier
too.

there's
already

record,
the
other
institution
has
done

stuff

the

servers
about

libraries

earlier

this
point

schools
we

be
doing
schools
forever
and
that's
not

tough,
because
they

have
a
lot

turnover

staff

it's
really
hard
to
get
them
and
in
rural
Colorado
I,
don't
know
how
it
is
in
Kansas,
but
in
rural
Colorado
they're.
Rarely
just
a
librarian,
that's
full-time,
so
they
really
have
very
little
time
to
devote
to
running
things.

our
school
district
has
five
libraries
and
they
only
have
one
person
whose
full-time
job
in
the
whole
school
district
is
is
Library
and
some
of
the
libraries
are
unstaffed.
They
use
salt
check
and
they
have
a
person
in
there.
Who

also
the
person
that
monitors
the
lunch
hour
for
like
an
hour
or
two
a
day,
and
that's
it
so
yeah.

believe
it
or
not,
I'm,
not
like
all
about
like
Manifest
Destiny

Colorado.
They

stopped
asking
people
a
few
years
ago,
but
they
keep
on
saying
they
want

pricing

libraries

come

it

sustainable.

got

full
schedule
and

that

because
there
weren't
a
lot
of
other
options,

hope

not
repeat

how

upgrades
go
for
everyone?

upgraded
a
little
over
a
week
ago.
Things
went
smooth,
in
fact,
because
we
have
a
test
server.
Now
they
upgraded
that
and
I
did
a
lot
of
prep
work
beforehand.
In
fact,
I
was
so
efficient.
I
forgot
some
of
the
changes
that
I
made
on
the
test
server
and
it's
like
oh
I-
have
to
copy
some
CSS
over
that
that
I
made
on
the
test
server,
so
that
was
handy.

a
bug,
a
fix
for
that,
but
Lucas
can.
If
you,

you
talk
to
Lucas
at
Bywater,
he

pass
on
some
jQuery
or
not
jQuery,

It's
just
CSS

work
around

until
it
is
fixed,
it
is
purely
a
CSS
issue.
So
it's

easy
fix
on
the

patch

it
comes

but

had
talked

self-registration
for
patrons
if
they
go
online
and
they
can
self-register
and
then
come
in
and
finish
the
registration
process
by
picking
up
their
card
on
one
of
the
newer
things
that
we
do
now.
Is
we
print
off
the
information
that
they
submitted
online

ask
for
a
few
more
pieces
of
information
and
ask
for
a
signature.
We
have
to
keep
that
on
file.

I,
don't
know
if
it's
a
comp,
I,
don't
know
if
it's
one
or
the
other
or
a
combination,
but
current
Firefox
didn't
like
it
on
2205
and
was
putting
up
the
print
dialogue
before
the
modifications
were
made
on

page.
So
all
the
information
was
not
populating
on
there,
so
I,
basically
just
ended
up
having
to
scrap
that
and
rewrite
it.

rewrote
it
yesterday
morning
and
then
I
posted
it
on
the
jQuery
Library
as
an
update,
but

rebuilt
the
way
I

structured,
I
I
was
hijacking
an
unneeded
slip
before,
and
so
it
was
just
making
jQuery
modifications
to
that
slip.
Now
I'm
doing
it
a
different
way,
which
I
use
in
other
places
that
work
just
fine
and
just
building
the
the
page
from
scratch
and
then
printing
it
and
that
works
great,
so
I
had
to
reinvent
the
wheel,
but
it
works.

back
through
my
emails
because
it's
been
like
a
whole
month
for
us.
Most
of
my
stuff
was
self-implicated,
so
like
I
changed
the
cert
control
settings
because
it
was
supposed
to
fix
my
renewal
issues,
because
whenever
somebody
renews
it's
using
the
logged
in
libraries
rules
instead
of
the
originating
checkout
Library.

you
can
change
cert
control
to
use
the
holding
location
of
the
item,
which
should
always
then
be
where
the
item
is.
But
we
found
pretty
quickly
that
that
doesn't
work
in
our
situation,
because
we
have
some
collections
for
the
holding.
Library
isn't
ever
where
it's
actually
at
when
it
gets
checked
out
so
I
had
I
had
some
major
like
fine
build
ups
like
I
had
some
random
rule
in
there.

was
something
that
not
a
lot
of
my
patrons
use,
but
some
my
catalogers
use
it.
So
they
immediately
noticed
that
that
wasn't
working
and
there's
a
bug
and
a
fix
coming
for
that,
and
then
let's
try

photos
bug
which
it
looks
like
is
getting
pushed
through.
There's
a
fix
on
that
too.
But
that's
like
the
most
common
question,
I've
gotten,
since
the
upgrade
is
why

can't
I
upload

we

you

jobs,

am
able
to
find
background
jobs,

it
takes
a
few
clicking
on

trying

be
helpful
by

ways

libraries

discounts
on
their
annual
fee
if
they
tested,
and
we
got
a
lot
because
one
of
the
things
like
I'm,
not
in
the
library
like
there's
different
setups
like

know
Christopher

in
a
library.
So
he
gets
a
little
bit
more
of
that
workflow.
We.
We
can't
think
of
everything
that
happened.
So
we
tried
to
get
libraries
to
parallel
test.

while
they
were
doing
something
for
a
normal
functioning
koha
in
the
production
site,
they
would
do
on
the
test
server,
as
well
with
a
new
version,
and
we
got
some
good
feedback
and
found
some
bit
of
our
custom
code.
That
eventually
will
make
its
way
it's
a
development
that
eventually
will
make
its
way
and
the
code
everywhere
got
messed
up.
So
we
were
able
to
get
ahead
of
that
before
before
things
launched,
but
it
was
also.

look
at
your
picture
categories-
there
should
be
trying
to
just
by
this
I'm
telling
you

it's
under
Patron,
patrons

circulations
and
then

Each
one

limitations,

would
look
to
that.
It
would
be
weird
that
those
all
got
reset.
That
definitely
didn't
happen
to
us,
but
that
is

the
place
to
look.

amount

libraries
we

everybody
likes
to

and

just
the
code
behind
the

librarian

see

categories
in

only
create
patrons

hit

shows
all

it's
somehow

not
saving

search

didn't
happen,

upgrade
that

really
hopeful
on,

there
was
a
few
bugs
that
were
supposed
to
be
addressed,

with
placing
holds
on
records
where
there's

Think
it's
a
little
faster,
but
it
still
is
taking
us
like.
If
you
take
like
a
Harry
Potter
book,
where
we
may
have
over
50
items
attached,
it
takes
like

minute
before
that
hole
gets
placed,

told
that
this
was
going

be
addressed

few
ways
with
how
things
loaded

upgrades
ago
before

they
worked
great,

changed

way

and

checking

each
item
to
see
if

and
that
just
adds
up
the

needs

of
the
issues
we've
had
relying
purely
on
Branch
transfer
limits
is
what
you
can
do
is
if
staff
aren't
paying
attention,
even
if
they're
not
able
to
request
a
particular
item,
because
maybe
the
library
doesn't
lend
a
DVD
or
maybe
it's
like
considered
new,
so
they
it
doesn't
circulate
outside
the
library
for
a
time
period.
They
can
still
request
it.

just
request
it
with
the
wrong
pickup
branch
which
doesn't
work
for
us,
because
Colorado
is
a
fairly
large
State
and
if
you
you
could
be
easily
setting
setting
something
up
for
pick
out
pick
up
six
hours
away
from
where
you
live
in
the
library,
you'll,
probably
never
visit,
so
that
that
doesn't
work.
So
at
least
the
method
I'm
using
now
will
eliminate
that
particular
issue,
but
I
think
we'll
still,
unfortunately
need
to
use
Branch
transfer
limits
for
well.

reasons
why
we've
grown
is
because
we've
been
like

quirks

we
just
have

developments
they
have
in
store,
but
they
have
less
branches
than
we
have
significantly
so,
but
much
much
bigger,
so
they're
still
dealing
with
a
lot
of
materials
and
transactions.

our
our
library
is
funding
this
development,
so
I'm
really
excited
about
it,
because
all
of
our
libraries
have
very
different
opinions
on
how
we
should
handle
long
overdues.
So
in
order,
if
we
can
get
it
moved
to
where
we
have,

we
can
see
it
and
control
it
and
set
it
up
ourselves.
That
would
be
really
great.

know
the
thing
we
always
get.
Complaints
about,
I,
don't
know
if
this
could
potent
has
the
potential
to
address
that
is
people
get
really
confused
that
when
things
become
lost
that
they
get
checked
in
off
an
account
and
so

don't
know

that's
potentially
something
that
we
could
have
a
little
bit
more
or
at
least
a
little
different
approach,
that's
a
little
less
confusing
because
it
will
show
like
if
you
look
at
the
item
that
was
checked
in
on
a
particular
day,
but
it
wasn't
actually
checked
in
it.

responsibilities
