The Committee discussed and adopted a proposed resolution for the Inlet Island Urban Renewal Project's Disposition & Development Agreement (DDA). In April 2021, the project's Sponsor, Finger Lakes Development, LLC (FLD), submitted its initial proposal to develop 2.5 acres of underutilized land on Inlet Island. At its 8/23/22 meeting, the Committee reviewed the Sponsor’s updated proposal against pre-identified development and feasibility issues to be resolved and also determined: which issues have been satisfactorily resolved; which issues can be reasonably expected to be resolved in the future; and which issues require further negotiation prior to executing the DDA. The Committee also briefly reviewed a written Public Comment from Sunny Days of Ithaca (https://sunnydaysny.com), expressing its concerns with a member of the FLD ownership and development team; and also calling attention to the need for public restroom facilities in the project design.
